@shaneoconnell9279 Oh, there's a whole vexillology of HoTD season 2 video on the way! Hope to continue these conversations in the comments of future videos 🙏
@@SinXerxes Sounds amazing. It speaks to me Delight to continue the discussion. Got to make more progress in the off season, doing sketch books like Helaena would make it all worth it
27:26: One of the castles like Claw Isle or Sharp Point that's sworn to Dragonstone but still fairly close to Kingslanding makes the most sense. Maybe Gwayne is just reacting to Cole's defeatism we hear in the trailer, But I got the feeling in the earlier episodes that Gwayne see's Cole as an up jumped commoner, so an outright clash over command isn't impossible either. I don't know what you're talking about with the Triarchy sounding more civilized than it is; challenging prospective allies to mud wrestling matches just to see if they aren't cowards is a perfectly civilized way to go about things. 😆
You were spot on once again with Sharp Point! For some reason, I didn't think it would be quite that substantial in scale. It was truly horrific.. Miss Vhagar, however, looked like she was having a great time😂 The G&C conflict over him fondling Alicents favour needed a bit more drama! Also I want to love gwayne, the diva he is, but I need him to start getting down with the proletariat; there are many reasons to dislike Cole, but him being base born and dornish are NOT appropriate reasons!🙄 How fun were the triarchy? I feel like we're in for a treat w them
During the airing season I was doing 2 videos a week, a review of the last episode and a preview of the next episode. But now that it's over, I'm going to do more lore and theory videos plus some filming news for HoTD and Dunk & Egg!
A combination of audio technical difficulties and construction in the background was a deadly combination😭 It won't be an issue in the finale video, dw🙏
@@SinXerxes Lovely hearing your voice during another long commute haha. I'm an Aemond supporter so we're definitely going to need Helaena & Dreamfyre on our side. Hopefully he's not too harsh towards her of course as my boy has messed up quite a bit lately LOL. 100% agree on how pretty Helaena looks with her hair down in the scene on the balcony, wow!
It really looked that way! I thought some of the cgi in the dream sequenced (like the white walker and the raven) looked a bit disjointed with the other elements within the same sequence that actually looked really good and convincing (like the dead dragon)
Sadly, this last episode really butchered Aemond, him threatening Helaena with death was absolutely out of character and dumb. Season 2 Aemond has basically almost nothing to do with Season 1 Aemond. This scene on the Balcony could have been used for Aemond and Helaena to have a moment together where he confesses that its all his fault and that he is sorry about all that happened, but nope, they kind of love making him into an absolute Idiot this season.
I wanted something more from that scene, but also feel the death threat in that scenario made sense *to a degree*. He approached her with a vulnerability and appeal to emotion (whether real or manipulative) when they were alone, she disarms him w the knowledge of what he did to aegon (when he thought he was in the clear since aegon was abed & he sent off the army who witnessed it), he is fearful and reactively tries to issue a deterrent through threat. HOWEVER, I absolutely would have loved a scene where he, in his vulnerability, breaks down to her after her accusations like you've described here. Even if she were to appear unaffected by his outpouring, they could do some really interesting character work with this pair playing off each other in that way. We could see something like this in Season 3 like the Syilvi scene earlier this season, but idk bc I feel he has much less remorse for Aegon than Lucerys, what do you think?
@@SinXerxes While I would love to see something along those lines in season 3, I feel like its too late, both his siblings and even his mother dont trust him anymore, Aemond is no longer Team green, but he is Team Aemond, and I think thats a big problem. In season 1, we had this beautiful scene, where Aemond starts his speech about the „strong boys“, Aegon INSTANTLY stands up, and raises his cup as well, being a younger brother my self, this felt absolutely true to a real brother dynamic and just felt right, and from own experience I can say, no matter how much a boy is bullied by his brother, they will always love each other and stick together. There simply has not happened enough between Aegon and Aemond, to justify Aemond trying to kill Aegon, AND as you mentioned not being affected by it in any way, he in fact seems more upset about Lucerys death, the kid who took his eye and in his mind, the son of a Woman who would kill him and his family if she could, than about the *almost* death of his brother. I found that super weird and prefer the book version when it comes to the dynamic between Aegon and Aemond. But lets see, I think before the end, Aemond will change, probably after meeting Alys Rivers, wether she entrances him or he truly loves her, I think it will change him completely.
It was a questionable decision considering she's such a fan favourite, also the fact they didn't give us a conclusive answer on whether Rhaena actually claims him, so people will be debating it for the next 2yrs
