Addam is not Corlys' son. Addam is Laenor's Bastard that is why he has a Targaryen blood. Alyn the bald one doesn't have Targaryen blood cause his father is Corlys. The 2 brothers just share the same mother but their fathers are different.
having Valyrian blood in general is what allows the riders to bond with the dragons, it doesn’t have to be House Targaryen specifically and house Velaryon are ethnically Valyrian. Not all houses and families in Old Valyria were dragon riders and house Targaryen weren’t the only great house to ride dragons (in fact if I recall correctly they were more of a minor house like house Mormont for example). They just happened to be the only dragon riding family that survived the doom which they used to their advantage. It’s just a matter of how diluted can the blood be before you can no longer bond with a dragon.
None of this has been proven in the canon, though. It's hypothetical. Blood magic is involved. And it makes more sense that the ruling families of Valyria would have bound dragons to specific bloodlines rather than binding them to all Valyians, as that would allow the "lowborn" to hatch dragons and challenge the ruling families.
@@breyerlover227 Which doesn't contradict what I said. Valyrians have Valyrian blood, but if they were smart enough to utilise blood magic, there is a good chance they can bond specific dragons and their offspring to specific Valyrian bloodlines, which makes sense if you think about the oligarchy wanting to control the masses. The Valyrian "lowborn" could have just grabbed some dragon eggs, hatched them, and started a revolution if the blood magic allowed for anyone with Valyrian blood to bind/hatch dragons. Maybe the Valyrians did have civil wars and rebellions, but have never heard about it, so it makes me believe that dragons were only tied to the 40 families who rules the Freehold. Even in GoT, there are many descendants of the Valyrians in Essos. Does this mean they can bond with dragons?
The reason why the Valeryon house can Technically Ride a Dragon is because they have Targaryen blood in them through years of political marriages and the keeping of "Pure Valerian" blood Alive. Targaryens and Valeryons are Both from old Valeria, but the Valeryons are not Dragon lords, only the Targaryens and only Dargon lords are able to ride dragons because of an ancient blood magic ritual that binds Dragons to it's riders.
The scene with Rhaenyra and Mysaria clicked with me - remember how you Rhaenyra discussed "tastes of duck and goose" with her former husband? In that conversation she did not call out his tastes, she said she has her own taste too! 🏳️🌈 We support our bisexual queen!
So about the kiss, I think Mysaria and Rhaenyra's relationship will play a role in the Black Queen's fate! Remember how Mysaria has great control over the small folk in KL and those who have read the book know there's more riots incoming in the future. It's definitely a set up for something! I have a certain 'storming' in mind but let's see.
Since you mentioned the book in which Rhaenyra is straight as an arrow. This obviously is just the mandatory 'One of the main characters has to be gay.' like in every other Hollywood show these days. I don't mind but we can call it what it is. Also they again went the save two girls route. Would have been braver to have Daemon suck a dick in Harrenhal. Just saying.
I wouldn't say that the Kingsguard were useless. They were greatly outnumbered by a violent angry mob, and Alicent told them to sheathe their swords. They would have been much more effective had they used their swords freely. Both she and Helaena would have been ripped apart if not for the Kingsguard, and it looks like one of them was killed trying to protect them. Also, Helaena froze when she should have been running with Alicent, causing the Kingsguard men to have to double back to protect her. This gave the mob more time to surround them.
Rhaenyra is not helping the people ? She is the reason they are starving in the first place. Yes it is a very smart political move, and I would have done the exact same, but thinking Rhaenyra gives a crap about the smallfolk is hilarious
Valaryons WERE Dragonlords Corlys just chose to make his way by Sea...he said it in season 1 and earlier this season....he chose the Sea while his wife chose the skies
No Velaryons were not one of the 40 dragonriding families of Old Valyria. They do come from Old Valyria, and have intermarried with the Targaryens since the Doom so one can assume they have dragonriding blood - if that is a thing - but before Corlys and Rhaenys' children they have never had dragons of their own.
@13:12 **SPOILERS** a powerful wild dragon that'll have a rider, not Rhaena but a character not introduced yet that will play an important part and as a curiosity, it'll be one of the phew that will survive "The Dance of The Dragons" :D i'll say no more. Season 3 will be amazing!!!
They have cut Nettles unfortunately and gave her role to Rhaena. They don't want Daemon to cheat on Rhaenyra with the only canonically black character, and show Rhaenyra's racist nature and how she hated her
No they weren't but they had Valyrian blood. Not every family in Old Valyria were dragon riders. It wasn't a common ability. Fire and Blood describes it like this "the Velaryons of Driftmark (a lesser house of Valyrian descent)..."
I’ve said this before years ago about this channel but both of you are calling out the names of these characters left and right. You’ve clearly done your homework, know the characters really well. It’s almost enlightening to watch you review these episodes
So Velaryon's were from Old Valyria, but sealords not dragonlords but they have always had a close relationship with Targaryens marriage & ally wise. Gotta love Seasmoke choosing his own rider, he said I'll be doing the claiming around here, I only want pretty Velaryon boys LMAO
The targaryens and velaryons are from old Valyria, where there were more royal familes that also had white, silver and gold hair. Even commoners sometimes had white hair. I think corlys bastard was shaving his white hair off.
@LaurenLumsden-mx4hu yup, they weren't as rich or powerful and were actually made fun of because targaryens would have visions and foresight. They were called dreamers by other dragon lords.
Makes perfect sense imo. She's the the most alone she's ever been in her life. Mysaria is the one person who has been supporting her unconditionally. There are rumors of her being bisexual in the books so it's not out of nowhere ❤
I guess making Rhaenyra bang Mysaria is mandatory these days and is obviously not in the book but okay. Enter South Park quote here. I don't mind really. What bothers me is the pacing. Two slow episodes in a row when we only get eight this season instead of ten. Daemon just stuck in Harrenhal is such a waste. Dream, wake up and shout at people, go to the witch. Rinse and repeat. Show is still great overall.
Rhaenyra was heavily implied bisexual in the books, it makes sense that she would develope this bond with Mysaria since she's the only one that really trusts her among all of her council
I hope daemon doesn’t die and maybe he be king and the queen kissing mysaria I don’t like mysaria at all the way she acts is suspicious and did she cheat on daemon lol despite their differences and aemond and daemon are alike
Alice is trying to help Daemon...For her own purpose. Just think Alice should be better looking. I know its not the 90's anymore but she was hot in the book :)
Sexuality isn't black or white. It's a spectrum. It's not a far fetched idea that Rhaenyra is bisexual. She definitely gave off those vibes in season one.
That scene didn't mean anything by the way Emma d'arcy suggested to add that in and they accepted because it fits their agenda which sums up this season precisely
Nope not true. Emma Darcy suggested that Rhaenyra walks up to Mysaria and hugs her which leads to the kiss, the actual kiss was in the script and even a thing they’ve been discussing to happen since season 1. Only the way the kiss happened was influenced by Emma Darcy which is a great addition to the scene instead of them just starting kissing, without the hug.

Seasmoke was later spotted smoking a blunt, gold tooth, gold chains being ridden by someone in a fur coat and a big, purple hat.
the White Worm is a huge factor in this war. Also I think the Valyrians were the old school original dragon riders before the Targaryians. Maybe lol
Aemond and Alice need to get together! Yes I said Aemond! Not Daemon!
Seasmoke's like, ain't nobody got time for that
The sheep weren't for the castle they were for the dragons which will tick off the people even more.
Rhanerya 🏳️🌈
I saw on Twitter earlier today that Seasmoke is likely racist and couldn't tell the difference between Laenor and Aalyn. I fell out.
Addam is not Corlys' son. Addam is Laenor's Bastard that is why he has a Targaryen blood.
Alyn the bald one doesn't have Targaryen blood cause his father is Corlys.
The 2 brothers just share the same mother but their fathers are different.
Woah this was way off
Daemon & Viserys relationship was so sad Daemon couldn't show him how much he loved him until it was too late...
having Valyrian blood in general is what allows the riders to bond with the dragons, it doesn’t have to be House Targaryen specifically and house Velaryon are ethnically Valyrian.
Yeh a lot of people don’t understand this cause they don’t read the lore or listen to when they do talk about it.
@@MyUniqueVibe it has been said by the author it has to do with Valyrian blood not just blood magic
Targaryens and Valeryons are Both from old Valeria, but the Valeryons are not Dragon lords, only the Targaryens and only Dargon lords are able to ride dragons because of an ancient blood magic ritual that binds Dragons to it's riders.
another glorious reaction, thank you!~
The scene with Rhaenyra and Mysaria clicked with me - remember how you Rhaenyra discussed "tastes of duck and goose" with her former husband? In that conversation she did not call out his tastes, she said she has her own taste too!
🏳️🌈 We support our bisexual queen!
She said she found goose too greasy for her tastes.
Exactly she said she didn't like it
So about the kiss, I think Mysaria and Rhaenyra's relationship will play a role in the Black Queen's fate!
You gotta watch old school movies like Naked Gun, I’m gonna git you sucka, CB4, Top Secret, Loaded Weapon, and Spaceballs
Thinking Aegon cares about the smallfolk either is hilarious, Aegon will do anything if people kiss his ass afterwords
No one cares about the smallfolk… that is the true of this show
Valaryons WERE Dragonlords Corlys just chose to make his way by Sea...he said it in season 1 and earlier this season....he chose the Sea while his wife chose the skies
Jason lannister was the one who flirted with raenhyra on season 1
Rhaenyra coming in hot with the Uber eats🍊🫑🍞
@13:12 **SPOILERS** a powerful wild dragon that'll have a rider, not Rhaena but a character not introduced yet that will play an important part and as a curiosity, it'll be one of the phew that will survive "The Dance of The Dragons" :D i'll say no more. Season 3 will be amazing!!!
Spoiler: rhaena is getting sheepstealer. They’re clearly setting it up and the show creator has said rhaena is getting a much bigger role
They have cut Nettles unfortunately and gave her role to Rhaena. They don't want Daemon to cheat on Rhaenyra with the only canonically black character, and show Rhaenyra's racist nature and how she hated her
question, anyone watched merlin? did merlin have dragon lord blood? i kinda forgot
The Shepard! Beware the one armed Shepard!
Aemond is carrying the season.
"I thought Daemon was going to cheat first.." technically he did lol he dream cheated with his mom 🤣🤣
That not how cheating works lol besides I didn't thing know what he was doing
Valerian's were also dragon lords
No they weren't but they had Valyrian blood. Not every family in Old Valyria were dragon riders. It wasn't a common ability. Fire and Blood describes it like this
"the Velaryons of Driftmark (a lesser house of Valyrian descent)..."
Cobra Kai is back! 😃
No plural for sheep. Like deer and moose.
it's crazy, it looks like a dragon but it's a little smaller
I’ve said this before years ago about this channel but both of you are calling out the names of these characters left and right. You’ve clearly done your homework, know the characters really well. It’s almost enlightening to watch you review these episodes
You both look like each others siblings haha dostargaryens
The "grandmother's grandmother" line makes zero sense in the timeline lol...
It's good the st season, kind of a drop off the second, kind of one character carried it , in the third, but the fourth was great
Targaryens and Velaryons have been intermarrying for generations. Aegon the Conqueror and his sisters themselves are half Velaryon.
Cobra Kai ?
Part of me is dissatisfied with this episode.
sea smoke got the jungle fever.😂
So Velaryon's were from Old Valyria, but sealords not dragonlords but they have always had a close relationship with Targaryens marriage & ally wise. Gotta love Seasmoke choosing his own rider, he said I'll be doing the claiming around here, I only want pretty Velaryon boys LMAO
The targaryens and velaryons are from old Valyria, where there were more royal familes that also had white, silver and gold hair. Even commoners sometimes had white hair. I think corlys bastard was shaving his white hair off.
Yea and weren’t the Targaryens the weakest house in old Valyria? Like there were dragons even bigger than balerion before the doom.
@LaurenLumsden-mx4hu yup, they weren't as rich or powerful and were actually made fun of because targaryens would have visions and foresight. They were called dreamers by other dragon lords.
VIZZY T
Rhaenyra kissing Mysaria made 0 sense to me. The directors just mixing in random stuff and dragging out the show
Literally so unecessary
someone managed to sneak in their fan fiction
Makes perfect sense imo. She's the the most alone she's ever been in her life. Mysaria is the one person who has been supporting her unconditionally. There are rumors of her being bisexual in the books so it's not out of nowhere ❤
rhae is lonely mysaria is vulnerable. plus rhae was implied bisexual in the book
@@Jlpro_1 If yall wanna talk about unnecessary lets talk about Daemon and his mother
Check out the boys
Cobra kai???
PLEASE REACT TO THE KOREAN MOVIE EXHUMA
Please react to cobra kai season 6
Aegon the Conquerors mother was of house Velaryon.
Isn’t Rhae bi in the books? If so it’s kinda no surprise her and mysaria hooked up.
Rhaenyra was heavily implied bisexual in the books, it makes sense that she would develope this bond with Mysaria since she's the only one that really trusts her among all of her council
This dude got the most obnoxious laugh ever. I can't continue watching this anymore.
I hope daemon doesn’t die and maybe he be king and the queen kissing mysaria I don’t like mysaria at all the way she acts is suspicious and did she cheat on daemon lol despite their differences and aemond and daemon are alike
spoiler idk
If the short vid spoiler is correct then that blacksmith will get vermithor, if only he wouldn't do the other thing
Plz react for lottery ticket (2010) movie😢.. I'm the 210th subscriber of ur channel😢
Alice is trying to help Daemon...For her own purpose. Just think Alice should be better looking. I know its not the 90's anymore but she was hot in the book :)
They just had to turn another character gay. They can never seem to help themselves
Sexuality isn't black or white. It's a spectrum. It's not a far fetched idea that Rhaenyra is bisexual. She definitely gave off those vibes in season one.
@@oh7henry nah she didn't. There's no justification for this. Just like with Frenchie.
Ahahahahaha
Buddy, shut up.

HOTD has been mid af so far, I'm disappointed in this season
Mid isn't a word
@daurydavis3983 "MEDIOCRE" are you happy now
where the cobra kaiii
Y r they dragging out the show what do they want 5 seasons comon hbo u boring me
That scene didn't mean anything by the way Emma d'arcy suggested to add that in and they accepted because it fits their agenda which sums up this season precisely
@@kledi3817 ah yes that was sara hess's explanation a lesbian feminist writer that was heavily involved in season 2 by HBO, in what world is that scene more important than addam mounting seasmoke for the first time especially since looking for dragon riders is the main plot of the episode, there were gay characters in the series before but their involvement was part of the story to keep it moving meanwhile this scene came out of nowhere and to make it worse they put it at the end of the episode after 1h of build up this is not the world GRRM wrote this is lazy writing
@@adelbechtoula yeah i can’t take you seriously because why are you saying „a lesbian feminist writer“…? that information was very much unnecessary and you’re obviously trying to prove a point here. stop watching hotd if you don’t like feminist lesbian media xx
@@kledi3817 I'll keep watching hoping it gets better and hoping it gets back to telling the story that GRRM told instead of changing event and removing characters to fit their needs and I'm not obligated to like feminists or homosexuals and you can assign tat to any "phobia" you like it's people like you that needs to grow up especially they can't accept the opinions of other or criticism towards things they like
That kiss make me sick 😢
Incel strikes again
Cry 😂
Fragile.
I don't mind it but they played it save as the always do. Would have been more fun to keep the ladies straight like they are in the books but have Daemon make out with a dude at Harrenhal instead.
