More like a message to HBO saying “give us more money to complete a 10 episode season.” Episode 9 + 10 wouldve been Battle of the Gullet and Kings Landing takeover imo
@Galactus99 okay so 'thumbs up if your "watch" has ended' was just because the season is over? Lol, I interpreted it as you giving up on the show, my bad
this season was such a waste of time...and we didnt even see more than one battle, also when I saw Starks then I waited until I hear " we came to die for the dragon queen"...didnt even get that
One crucial detail is that while Alicent agrees that Rhaenyra will kill Aegon, once Rhaenyra reaches Kings Landing, she will find out that Aegon has left and run away. I think they will play it off so that Rhaenyra assumes Alicent warned Aegon to run away, which will cause Rhaenyra to get angry and feel that Alicent betrayed her one more time.
@@dgfdfgdfg-t2o All the successful sneakings are really surprisingly plausible. Aegon and Aemond may be giving various orders to lock down the city, but they have the classic blind spot of the rich and powerful in forgetting that the people who actually have to carry out those orders have wills of their own. The gold cloaks have an inherent lean towards Team Black from the beginning because Daemon was their commander for so long and turned them into what they are. Combine that with Mysaria's knowledge and connections of the King's Landing smallfolk, and it's not that shocking that Team Black's agents can find clandestine ways in and out, or specific gold cloaks who will secretly help them. And then this episode, when Aemond just casually ordered all the boats to be shut down or constantly searched down to the keel, there was *no way* that order was actually going to be followed. That was effectively telling the gold cloaks to choke off the last line of sustenance for themselves, their families, friends, and neighbors who were already starving - the gold cloaks would never actually obey that, which is why Alicent was still able to sneak out to Dragonstone.
I was thinking the same thing. Also, how did Alicent get to Dragonstone so fast? She was in King's Landing, then "BAM!" there she is at Dragonstone. Did I miss something, or are they just starting to get sloppy like they did in Game of Thrones?
The wooden throne was the wheelchair that bran's wheelchair was based on. Bran had told tyrion during one of the GoT episode that Daeron designed it for his disabled brother Aegon.
He wouldn’t do that. He’s not that crazy, yet. He wants Dreamfyre to go into battle with him. That point is rather lost if he kills Dreamfyre’s rider. He doesn’t have anyone to replace Helaena.
@@kimberlyrobinson3992 But he's a dumbFK didn't he foolishly try to kill the only other dragon and its rider already... Fool will go to the riverlands for fighting the war leaving the sole purpose of the war Ironthrone/kings landing unguarded, open for taking what a halfwit
Just the ending scene really makes it obvious that this entire season was just set up for what’s to come. Yea it’s anticlimactic now but when the show is done i guarantee that it’ll sit much better
@@GlobenTrote Yeah HotD season 2 feels VERY stretched. Deamon spent the entire season in a haunted castle. Rhaenyra and Alicent had multiple secret meetings that didn't change anything. The whole Vale/Sheepstealer plotline didn't even have a pay off. Multiple battles happened off-screen like the Burning Mill or Aemond burning down the Keep in ep 8. My take is Zaslav wanted to stretch the seasons out + cheaping out on budget to milk more money from HBO's flagship shows. Makes me really worry for The Last of Us season 2 now, considering the showrunners talked about needing up to 3 seasons for the 2nd game. Already feeling like the same thing is gonna happen. Stretched out plotlines, pointless dialogs and all the action scenes happening off-screen to save budget.
The pleasure house woman that Aemond constantly goes to see was Cole's acting teacher in real life so I bet he was super nervous about his scenes this season!
No, he is not aware that he is a character in a tv show. He's not Deadpool. Daemon saw a vision of the future. That's not the same thing as realising that he is a creation of GRRM.
In the Free cities though people are more sexually ambigous. For example, Rycilio Ryndoon, who becomes a major antagonist to Alyn Oakenfist towards the end of F&B, was a cross dresser and a fierce warrior who groomed himself like a woman. For a second I thought she was Rycilio Ryndoon because she told Tyland that she wanted him to take several of her wives, the same thing Rycilio Ryndoon said to Alyn Oakenfist when he stod up to him @Rocket1377
I don't think that white haired walker in those visions was the "Night King" , but one of his lieutenants. They had the long hair. The Night King will always wear the "Ice Crown", no matter who the actor is. He's the Night King.
The fact that they cut down the season to 8 episodes and still couldn’t produce much action at all and stuffed it with filler scenes is beyond disappointing, especially given the 2-3 year wait.
They didn`t really cut it to eight episodes, they expanded 10 episodes to 16, with the same source material. Sadly we have to wait 2 years for the other 8 episodes, in other words, the second half of the season.
@@PhilippSchmale Your explanation makes the most sense. Now I understand why we have 6 episodes of filler where nothing is happening and ppl just keep revisiting the same talking points over and over.
"It was revenge for Aegon trying to steal Rhaenryas throne, and a lot of other things. And there was nothing that we could do about it. Rhaenyra was a made man and Aegon wasn't. And we had to sit still and take it. It was among the Targaryen's. It was real greaseball shit" - Alicent Hightower
I really do not mind Daemon seeing the future. Intrigued about the Alys-Helaena connection. Everything would have been okay if this is not the season finale. As a season finale, this is horrible.
Your opinion but the qay S3 will start off and go on from there will be fucking huge and to the defense of the show lile i said S3 will start off big and if they did 2 more episodes the way it would i guess end will be kinda akward because now all this fighting is happening and now you end off right at the start of it ig, for a seasom finale i really liked it and just due to george's amazing writing but this was a the very best way to end it without going into everything all at once and it ending just abruptly
@@MusashiHeadSplitta I get that. And don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to s3. Just that the season finale is very anti-climactic. I still like it as an actual episode but not so much as a "finale".
@@mmmjjjerome yeah i get your meaning but S3 and S4 will def payoff in the end for this because i have seen some people just going on about how it kinda ended but it'll be worth it in the end and we have knight of the 7 kingdoms dropping next year and also hbo was in talks about making a aegon the conqueror show and how he came to and conquerored westeros which im pretty sure will get the green light and this shit will be hype, if it gets the green light we will probably get this like 2028 or 29 maybe even 30 at most but i feel like 2029 if anything if it gets the green light which i think it will but as for the release date that is just wishful thinking
Yeah, I thought the battle of the Gullet would have been the season finale, but I'm guessing the bean counters intervened which is why we got 2 episodes less. TBH I would rather they did that if it meant they filmed the episodes properly and did them justice. GOT is still burnt from the state of seasons 7 and 8 when they just cut corners to wrap up the series.
In her conversation with her mom, Alicent, about leaving, Helena replied "Where would I go?" it really meant "Weirwood, I go." 🤯 And she did, talked to Daemon!
Whenever Allan had scenes with Corlys he was so distressed, and uncomfortable, like someone who is dying to go off but is waiting for the trigger to set him off. When he finally did, it didnt sound dramatic or exaggerated or pompous. To me it was all very relatable, felt true and honest which made his pain all that much more palpable. What an incredibly powerful scene.
I can relate with that scene. I had a stepfather who always tried to claim to be my dad and I knew he wasn't. I could Relate with that scene tremendously!! It's like shut up, sit down.I know the truth. 💯💯
@@nathanwalsh3028 That's absolutely not the same as what happened in this scene Alyn hated Corlys because he was his BIOLOGICAL father who never cared about him - And you're trying to compare that to your situation of having a step-dad who DOES care about you? You seriously need to learn to be grateful for what you have.. Never have I heard a person with even a shred of maturity reject a loving parent because "he's not my real dad", grow the fuck up.
YESSSS!! i thought i was the only one who noticed that scene. when he was like “did you hear that?” i was like that’s definitely Bran😭. i also noticed that bran is the one talking through helena to daemon that’s why helena goes crazy and commits at the end kinda like how he made holdor mad messing with his head controlling him.
@@fonzie222You mean neither Rhaenyra nor Daemon cut his head off for his proposed treachery?! Lord, I dont know how Team Black stans bear with all this tomfoolery!!!
I dont think Rhaenyra is acting unhinged. She is starting to accept that she will have to shed blood to defeat the greens. But then when Alicent comes knocking, offering her Kings Landing, I think Rhaenyra might see that as a way of minimizing the conflict. When really all she had to do to win was take all 6 Dragons and fly to meet Vhagar and Aemond in battle. Then claim Kings Landing after defeating Vhagar. But she really wants to avoid bloodshed
Well that's the plan.. sort of reminds me of Ned Stark, he could've easily convinced Robert in his death bed and eventually saved his head, but he was being merciful to Cersei and her children.. Not that anything of that sort would happen in HOTD.. **wink** **wink**
I agree that in finale Alicent going to Dragonstone to beg was horrible, but I don't understand why people are cringing at the prophecy stuff. I know they messed up the final season of Game of Thrones, but I still have hope for the books' ending. In the books, that threat is still looming, and I intend to see a lot of references to it in House of the Dragon. Despite many filler episodes, this season was good for me overall.
I think most people have given up on the books being finished and so the the TV show is going to be the only ending we might have. And that’s below the standard of rehashing.
I mean you answered your question lol, they fucked up season 8. Seeing the prophecy stuff is just a bad reminder and leaves a horrible taste in the mouth, and thats a lot of copium you have for the books, they aint getting finished my guy 😂
@@dereklewis94513 years for any substance and the actual dance of the dragons which they mostly just skip over, this show is just choosing to fall off, most people will not be happy with this finale, not after episode 7 teasing a massive battle all around Westeros….no we get to see the armies marching to then just fade to black. I swear to god these show runners and writers they get for any GOT content is all about dragging bullshit out to make as much money as they can because you get to create more seasons. We’re in the middle of the dance of the dragons civil war yet see NONE of it but they tease it, oh hey look we got wars coming even though the war has been going on this entire time in the books. This show can’t go 3 years until season 3 with how weak this finale is.
It’s the 3 eyed raven, Bran already proved in GoT by yelling father to young ned stark that he can be heard, young ned stark heard it but didn’t understand what he had heard. It was the same thing here, 3 eyed raven is watching and called him a traitor, and he heard it. later we see daemons ability and connection to the 3 eyed raven via the weirwood tree’s. Harrenhal is haunted, by the 3 eyed ravens magic.
The scene between Daemon and Rhaenyra at Harrenhal was so powerful and moving. I got chills when he screamed "We fight for our Queen!" and raised his sword. 🥰⚔
People who complained about not having a lot fo battles in the season... Or the " I just watched 70min trailer of season 3". What did you expect? A battle per episode? This is GOT universe... It has always been all about the characters and their arc. Battles are surely impressive to watch, but it's really about the characters. This is a story telling, not the avengers. There were so many important moments in the last episode. Those who didn't see them, I'm sorry but you don't care at all about the writing or the actual story. Just go and watch Michael Bay movies. This season allowed to add a lot of dimensions to certain characters and evolved their arcs. And we got a detailed context to on what's coming. Can we also appreciate how great the cast is? Also, the book readers are always so quick to criticise and make comparisons, when they don't even understand that the book was written from historians point of view, it's an outsider perspective. Which means that there is a room for many interpretations... Before everyone complained thay they rushed up the ending of game of thrones and now you're complaining HOTD is going too slow. I genuinely enjoyed this season.
People complaining about the lack of action miss the point of the GoT universe, it's about characterization and seeing them interacting... and this show is MID af when it comes to characters. I love slow, methodical scenes of characters just talking. I'll take that over a CGI battle any. Unfortunately these writers don't know how to write compelling characters whatsoever. Absolutely disappointing season to a good start. I have little hope for season 3.
@@asimhussain8716 Did you actually read the book? Because in the book, we don't get much details about the characters at all. In this sense, the show is very fainful... The information about the character's traits and personality is very vague in the book. In the show we do get more depth and actual arc's development. The way the book is written, it didn't leave much source material for writers, for exception of the major events...
@@roksi2210 Who cares if the book is lacking in details? It is the job of the writers to make up those details and make the characterization compelling. Not only did they do this excellently with Viserys, they did it far better than the books. They FAILED to do this with all the other characters.
@@asimhussain8716 when it comes to book's adaptations, the writers walk on egg shells... Specially when it comes to something big like GOT universe. If they change too many details, people get upset and start boycotting the project. The problem with HOTD is that the main source of the story is a book which is written from three very vague points of view. The lack of details does matter, because until what extent can the writers take liberties to develop some characters? I think they did try, as you said, Vicerys is much more dimensional than in the books, I also feel they did the same with Alicient, Heleana, Daemon, Ageon and Rhaenyra. And it seems that most of the fans are not interested to see those developments and changes and all they want is a simple copy and paste of the book. I feel they tried to add depth to most of the characters, where the story allowed them. They have only 4 seasons to show the major events and try to introduce us to all the important characters. They're trying to develop and add dimensions to some characters where the story really let them. Perhaps if they could squeeze another season, then sure! I would agree with you they could play out more with the character's arcs, but it's really tricky when it comes to adaptations.
I loved that there weren't as many battles. And I loved that they took their time to let the actors really act. Not from one short scene to another. Raising mindfullness, so important.
I think when Helaena said Aegon will be king, I don’t think she is referring to Aegon II her brother/ husband. I think she is foreshadowing Aegon III, the son of Daemon and Rheanyra becoming king.
I loved how Helaena personally told Daemon that his destiny is to kill Aemond. Almost like she revels getting to meet the guy who ends her crazy relative
Helaena spoiling the entire book to Aemond and clocking his ass was awesome. You’d think he would’ve expected her to know what he did since she has dragon dreams 😂
Oh yeah dude these abuse scenes between Aemond and Haelana are some of my favorite. The things they say are maximum-ally amusing almost as much as Criston Cole
Does Helaena’s family know she has dragon dreams? It seems to me that they ignore everything she says as if it’s nonsense bc they don’t understand. Genuine question
Larys: Take carriage. Go to port. Kill Aemond, grab Helaena, go to the Essos, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?
In *Helaena's arc,* they just skip over a whole bunch of steps. This whole time she's been blabbing her dragon dreams half out loud, half to herself without any indication of understanding them. In book canon this is largely how dragon dreams work; difficult to interpret and often just huge info dumps with no context. Dragon dreams also have absolutely nothing to do with weirwood magic at all. So not only is it a departure from Helaena's story to suddenly understand and know all about what's going to happen at the God's Eye, but why would she have gone that entire time knowing Aemond tried to murder her brother-husband and have said nothing? Worst of all was the writers stuffing Helaena conveniently into *Daemon's weirwood dream* trying to connect two disparate forms of magic as either a plot device or just outright fan service to move the story forward by explaining rather than showing. Even the weirwood dream itself was done on the cheap, ex. why would they show that one random white walker from the trailers instead of a horde of them or the night king? One creature isn't enough to tell Daemon a long winter full of ice zombies is coming.
Yeah that made no damn sense. He was wetting himself in the dragon pit, trying to find somewhere to hide. Hugh had to show strength to claim Vermithor, but Ulf only had to show his belly to be claimed by Silverwing. And then he immediately delivers a line that confirmed what Jace was worried about last episode. "we're equals now so suck it Mr. Prince" Like really show? Just that right on the nose huh? These writers suck.
@@scarlett.23 Maybe Larys will put a hit out on him, just like he did to his father and brother. Seems like a Larys thing to do, and he has no qualms about being a kinslayer.
The episode seems like a 8/9 episode, it feels like there is a final episode missing. And nice vid! Seeing the children of the forest was crazy, I forgot about em
Ngl but this feels exactly like most GOT final episodes (setting up the next season), it's the big battle we usually get in the penultimate episode that we're missing unfortunately.
Daemon's vision at the tree to me was the best part of the episode. The setup for season 3 as all of the sides get ready for a major throw down. Sucks that we have to wait 2 years for the next season.
I don't think it will be as long as it sounds, closer to a one year wait, because we are only 4 months away from 2025. At least we have Kof7 in the middle, that should help a little
I loved seeing the Daenerys cameo. I think Daemon’s vision of her was to suggest that ‘The Prince Who Was Promised’ comes directly from Rhaenyra’s bloodline. So while Rhaenyra isn’t the promised Targaryen, she’s still important to the Song of Ice & Fire. Without Rhaenyra, there’s no Daenerys or Jon Snow.
36:54 "Rhaenyra how do you feel about bugs? Why don't you come play with Helaena for a little while, maybe she'll tell you some of the future..." Got me laughing hard😂😂😂
Something I haven't seen people talk about yet but might be a plausible theory is that Sunfyre is truly dead Like Aegon and Cole mention and that (Spoiler) the dragon he has later in the books when he takes DragonStone is actually the Cannibal which he ends up taming and using to then kill Grey Ghost, like the maesters surmised was the dragon to do the deed in the book. I feel that the cannibal being the evil/different/more aggressive dragon would maybe get tamed by Aegon who is now more torn apart and intense due to his wounds, maybe its just enough for cannibal to let himself be tamed. This would also pair well with the fact that Baela's Moondancer is killed in the books by sunfyre, but it would be difficult if sunfyre is so torn and damaged. It would make more sense if it was the Cannibal to do it. Just a theory but I think it is worth maybe mentioning.
Alicent really thought showing up and saying “my mistake” was gonna be enough 😂 Rhaenyra body language during that scene was just brilliant. She’s so fed up and tired with alicent hypocrisy and naiveté. But you also get a sense that there’s still love deep down too. My fave part of the episode
I'm glad Daemon finally came around and we all kind of knew that this was the only way that he would accept Rhaenyra. The shot of Danny only shows her hair, bare back and a bit of the baby dragons, I think Daemon interpreted that to be Rhaenyra. Like you said, he thinks the white walkers will be an immediate threat which Rhaenyra will deal with. I don't know how they would put Aegon back on the throne after the dance of the dragons based on Halena's prophecy. It definitely wouldn't be a power move but I'm assuming a betrayal. Maybe its 'an Aegon', as in one of Rhaenyra's children eventually? Something that makes me unsettled is the loyalty of people that pledge to Rhaenyra. Ulf like you said, seems indulgent and his loyalty is uncertain if Rhaenyra has a huge loss at sometime. He seems to be someone who wants to be appart of the winning team. Hugh Hammar seems to be more respectful, but as memeber of the small folk he is deeply sympathetic to them and you can tell by his reaction when Rhaenyra says that some of them will die in their attack. Addam, like Hugh seems more respectful but ever since he got his dragon I don't see the pain of wanting to be powerful or his resentment against his father that was displayed earlier in the season.I don't know if this will manifest later in the season, his frustrations seem to have transfered to his brother when he was addressing Coryls. I don't know how they will make it out of the fight with the triachy they going into it blind. Also, Ser Alfred was definitely fumming and thrown off when Daemon was pledging himself to Rhaenyra. I haven't read the books, these are just theories, so please don't comment spoilers below 😂❤.
My take was that he knows they will both eventually be killed. But he has accepted fate and his part in it. As he says they are just one part in a bigger story
Even if Alicent *thought* that she heard Viserys say that he wanted Aegon on the throne, you would think that she would just ignore it. She knew then how bad her sociopathic sons were.
She thought she could control them more, she was genuine in thinking Viserys changed his mind, had a new vision in the end. But, even though she logically knew that her sons were sociopathic, she had the ego to think she and her father could steer them on the right path
Ignore that their father wanted them to be heir? So basically be a traitor to the man she loved and oppose his words? Do you guys legit watch the show through UA-cam Reels or what exactly? Alicent simply changed and went over the concept of caring after her sons who want bloodshed. Aegon and Aemond weren't villain-ish before when they took over the throne, they simply changed in time thanks to the power they held and situation they were greeted with. It was then that Alicent realized how useless it was to change them when they are surrounded by men who seek bloodshed too.

Alicent Hightower had the chance to stop all of this when Rheanyra came to her. now she does the same coming to Rheanyra and it's too late. the war has begun and season 3 is going to see it all come together in the worst way possible.
She did not have the chance to stop anything. Even Cole was treating her like she wasn't worth hearing in the small council meetings and her father was gone, she had no allies who would listen to her anymore. The power she thought she had revealed itself to be an illusion.
I still think Alicent is going to be somehow responsible for Helena's death, that's why Helena said to her "I forgive you". For nothing else she would feel like saying it to Alicent, everything is for a reason and Helena knows it, so there is nothing to forgive, it has to be done, but just for their love, and for Alicent to feel better she forgave her when she still could.
She said that to Alicent, because her mother was banging Sir Cole when he was supposed to be on guard to Helena's bedroom the night the mercenaries attacked her and her children and beheaded the boy.
@@NormaLilia24I dont think Rhaenyra would purposely take her head. She loved her and has a soft spot for her. She also knows Helaena is not to blame. *Bigger(?) spoiler alert* If they stick to F&B then Aegon the Usurper does at one point become king again (he technically never stops being king , just does not sit the throne from kings landing for a bit ) .

If you see that one rider walking in the garden, you know a betrayal is coming. Especially if you got Cartman dressed as the wizard-king and an old guy yelling out the window.
So many awesome points with this finale. 1. Ugh the new riders, especially ulf bug me, I just get so nervous that having them as riders isn’t going to go well. 2. Deamon bending the knee to Rhaenyra was so beautiful and awesomeeee. I cried. His character arc has just been beautiful. Idc how long he spent at harrenhaul, I’m glad he went and I’m glad he got his therapy session. It was also so cool how he said “winter is coming” and they both just clicked! 3. Also really cool to see halennah telling Aemond what’s up, like finally she is legit telling her dreams to people and it’s so cool. It’s like she’s finally confident in it and putting it out there. 4. I did not expect Alicent to go to dragonstone. But it just shows how much she has changed too. I think she truly knows rhaenrya should have been queen all along, but bruh it’s freaking too late.
I would have loved to have seen Rhaena claim sheep stealer for the last episode, cause it's going to be a while before we get the next season and it would have been a nice add on for the last episode of the season. Loved that Daemon had the Weirdwood vision and we got to see a bit of Danny! That was a great addition, and also having Helaena in it. Also was so cool finally seeing a character with blue hair and beard!
This actually was a good episode, season 3 gonna be good AF. Daemon needed to see the vision to calm down on his aspirations. Glad we got this season over with as far as him sitting around goes.
When Daemon took Sir Alfred Broome to the weirwood trees to talk, the whisper said “Traitor”. I think it was apparent then that Sir Alfred was about to betray Rhaenyra by trying to get Daemon to take the throne.
Unpopular opinion; I thought it was actually a great season finale and it reminded me how much more attention was put into this vs the GOT series. To me, it seemed like it really captured the internal conflict and the morally gray area that GRRM pushes for in his stories. Which is an element that the main series lacked. Cole lost that psychotic edge he had and his faith in the Green’s seems shaken, Aemond isn’t the stoic and dutiful guy he thought he was, Alicent and Rhaynera have switched roles now that the blacks have the advantage and Alicent sees her sons as the sociopaths they are and the Rogue Prince is fighting for something other than self interest. The next 2 seasons should have all the excitement we wanted this season.
I'm with you. The ending reminds me of when daenerys sailed to westeros with her dothraki army. Like the calm before the storm. Although there are a lot of plot holes, pacing issues, and not so great dialogue in season 2. It was quite a good season finale
I agree. A rushed battle just for the sake of a finale would have been more of a let down to me. This episode was well written and Daemon finally has the validation he's sought for so long in understanding Viserys vision. I can wait for season 3 which I believe will be as good as the first two have been.

They really milked it. Now they'll stretch that long-awaited battle for 8 episodes in season 3 😂😂
Daemon bending the knee to Rheanyra was honestly satisfying… almost like he finally succumbed to his brothers vision.
He saw the white walkers in that vision and realised there are more important things than the throne.
Totally agree….I think he also realizes how this was destroys their family bloodline and dragons.
War**
It was Hollywood subtle way of pushing the agenda of women should be in charge in today's time. Classic feminism
this season was such a waste of time...and we didnt even see more than one battle, also when I saw Starks then I waited until I hear " we came to die for the dragon queen"...didnt even get that
One crucial detail is that while Alicent agrees that Rhaenyra will kill Aegon, once Rhaenyra reaches Kings Landing, she will find out that Aegon has left and run away. I think they will play it off so that Rhaenyra assumes Alicent warned Aegon to run away, which will cause Rhaenyra to get angry and feel that Alicent betrayed her one more time.
This. This will happen. Good call
I agree too, good call!

Oh I definitely agree! And it will be the finale of their friendship!
The way people can just sneak into the castle this war should have been over in 2 weeks
And out.
That was effectively telling the gold cloaks to choke off the last line of sustenance for themselves, their families, friends, and neighbors who were already starving - the gold cloaks would never actually obey that, which is why Alicent was still able to sneak out to Dragonstone.
yo im here, but were enemies! i am no longer here. hey im here again! oh wait....lets talk abou, HEY IM HERE AGAIN
I was thinking the same thing. Also, how did Alicent get to Dragonstone so fast? She was in King's Landing, then "BAM!" there she is at Dragonstone. Did I miss something, or are they just starting to get sloppy like they did in Game of Thrones?

@@GlobenTrote Yeah HotD season 2 feels VERY stretched. Deamon spent the entire season in a haunted castle. Rhaenyra and Alicent had multiple secret meetings that didn't change anything.

The way the book is written, it didn't leave much source material for writers, for exception of the major events...
@@roksi2210 Who cares if the book is lacking in details? It is the job of the writers to make up those details and make the characterization compelling. Not only did they do this excellently with Viserys, they did it far better than the books.

Helena to Aemond :
"You were swallowed up in the god's eye and you were never seen again"
Someone has read the book 😂

Absolutely loved the season! Only thing I would change...we needed a 9th episode.
Two years between seasons of 8 episodes. Thats a big ask to keep an audience engaged.
You know everyone is gonna watch it lol.
I don't think it will be as long as it sounds, closer to a one year wait, because we are only 4 months away from 2025. At least we have Kof7 in the middle, that should help a little
@@Meshell_Smiling nah it will be long. They will milk it.
@@coolyman13 you are probably right 😩
@@Nursegirlalexandradoubtful it’ll have much hype or anticipation since this seasons been disappointing
“Prince Aemond Crazytown Bananpants” 😂

I love cannibal
Alicent really thought showing up and saying “my mistake” was gonna be enough 😂 Rhaenyra body language during that scene was just brilliant. She’s so fed up and tired with alicent hypocrisy and naiveté. But you also get a sense that there’s still love deep down too. My fave part of the episode
Least favourite part. She was willing to give up her sons like that…

I also thought that he thought that Dany with her back turned was Rhaenyra.
Even if Alicent *thought* that she heard Viserys say that he wanted Aegon on the throne, you would think that she would just ignore it. She knew then how bad her sociopathic sons were.
Though they may deny it, both the Blacks and the Greens lust for power.
She thought she could control them more, she was genuine in thinking Viserys changed his mind, had a new vision in the end. But, even though she logically knew that her sons were sociopathic, she had the ego to think she and her father could steer them on the right path
Shes a complete idiot in this show what do you expect?
Ignore that their father wanted them to be heir? So basically be a traitor to the man she loved and oppose his words?
Do you guys legit watch the show through UA-cam Reels or what exactly? Alicent simply changed and went over the concept of caring after her sons who want bloodshed. Aegon and Aemond weren't villain-ish before when they took over the throne, they simply changed in time thanks to the power they held and situation they were greeted with. It was then that Alicent realized how useless it was to change them when they are surrounded by men who seek bloodshed too.
@@captaindesperatehousewife2441 "Aegon and Aemond weren't villain-ish before when they took over the throne"
"the man she loved"
Not sure what show you're watching. Don't think you know either.
In one scene, Helaena, earlier in the series, we see her tell Alice that she "forgives" her. Alice really hadn't done anything wrong or against her family ,yet. I think Helaena was speaking to Alice about her future betrayal concerning her son.
I think the forgiveness was for Alicent sleeping with Cole, therefore keeping him from protecting Helaena's children.
she definitely had done something wrong at that point but your conclusion is correct.
Anyone else notice how Lord Alfred turned around and flees in sort of disgust when daemon started hyping up the army. Interesting 🤔
Do you want me to spoil anything? I know why he left 😫
He betrays rhaenyra and leads her to her death. (Being kfc’d by sunfyre)
He is on team Alicent and cie and believes a woman's place is in her kitchen. I wish, Rhaenyra burnt him for his treachery.
This show is a breathe of fresh air when it comes to any other show like it right now.
The ending gave me chills when they showed each house marching with their themes playing.
That vision would have so much more impact if Dany had actually survived! House Targaryen should have survived and sat on the throne again.

The power she thought she had revealed itself to be an illusion.
so useless,...just forcing scenes for a known actress. they should just focus on writing a better story.
"Crazy town banana pants" @15:56 😂
I still think Alicent is going to be somehow responsible for Helena's death, that's why Helena said to her "I forgive you". For nothing else she would feel like saying it to Alicent, everything is for a reason and Helena knows it, so there is nothing to forgive, it has to be done, but just for their love, and for Alicent to feel better she forgave her when she still could.
She said that to Alicent, because her mother was banging Sir Cole when he was supposed to be on guard to Helena's bedroom the night the mercenaries attacked her and her children and beheaded the boy.
Yes interesting, maybe when Rhenerya gets to Kings Landing and sees that Aegon is gone she’s gonna take Helena’s head instead ..
@@NormaLilia24I dont think Rhaenyra would purposely take her head. She loved her and has a soft spot for her. She also knows Helaena is not to blame. Let me get this straight. The same fans who moaned about how rushed GOT series 7&8 are moaning about how slow this series was? Interesting 😅
There should be a balance , this season was a whole lot of nothing. Just one 5 minutes dragon fight in the entire season after 2 years of wait lol
If you think this season was good storytelling you need to go to a mental hospital
A story being slow has nothing to do with actions being there or not and I'm tired of people using that strawman
There wasn't that much actions in season 1 either yet nobody complained, now what's the excuse

"Aegon will be king again"

This actually was a good episode, season 3 gonna be good AF.
Daemon needed to see the vision to calm down on his aspirations. Glad we got this season over with as far as him sitting around goes.
Stop lying.
Stop the 🧢 this season had 2 good episodes out of 8 including a boring season finale full of filler scenes
You’re foolish 😂
I loved this episode! But it sucks to have to wait for 2-3 years now
Do you think he taught Danny with the 3 dragons is actually rhenyra?
2 more season? It should be just 1.
I agree. A rushed battle just for the sake of a finale would have been more of a let down to me. This episode was well written and Daemon finally has the validation he's sought for so long in understanding Viserys vision. I can wait for season 3 which I believe will be as good as the first two have been.
