    HOW TO INSTRUCTION:
Lift the vehicle securely on jackstands, ramps, or a lift, in order to gain access to the undercarriage.
    Remove the front wheels.
Remove the front wheel arches / fender liners.
Support the engine securely using a hoist, support, or jack.
Replace one side at a time as recommended by Audi.
Disconnect the connectors circled in red, and remove the nut/bracket holding the N145 harness to the subframe.
Support both sides of the subframe as pictured below, making sure you can lower it as needed to access the engine mounts. DSG / Automatic models need to disconnect front AC pipes.
Disconnect the front anti roll bar end links from the sway bar.
Remove subframe bolts on both sides, as well as the bolt going through the engine mount into the engine mount arm.
Drop the subframe slowly, just enough to gain access to the engine mounts for removal. This should be approximately 25mm - 35mm.
Remove the bolts attaching the engine mounts to the subframe.
Remove the 8mm triple square bolts securing each of the engine mount retaining plates.
Remove the engine mount retaining plates.
    Remove old engine mounts.
To install new engine mounts, follow the same procedure in reverse order and for other side also.

Hi. I have an annoying problem with squeaking on the right side in the area of the front right wheel. It squeaks only when the engine is hot and only after a few hours of city rush driving. I replaced everything from suspensions to arms, cv joints etc.. and the problem still persists. Could it be from the bad engine mount? (A4-B9,2017,fwd, left steering wheel). Thank you.

thank you for this great tutorial video. You have simplified it all. Am about to do my A6 and found this . The best one so far and it doesn't look all that difficult if one is mechanicaly inclined. I did my timing belt on a Lexus GX 470 ...(PRADO). So this isn't all that bad.
    Thanks again !

Nice and complete how to. Good to know about the oil pan, seen engine mount videos for the S3 were they put some wood and push it from the composite oil pan. Still not recommended or ok if lighter engine?
As DIY without a lift or hoist seemed a bit flimsy just having them upgraded when it goes to the shop next. Some things will need to have the equipment to DIY.

I wouldnt take a risk with oil pan.. DIY tools shipping list never ends, but I think priority are those that make work safer..having engine hanging above the head while rolling under doesn't sound too fun.

@@GetJobDoneofficial would these composite pans it doe snot have a flat surface anywhere. I think they made them like that so you dont try push up on it. now with wood then jacking it its not gonna be flat going up. it will go up but would you take the risk? let us know anyway how you get on with it.

What size are the sockets you use to remove the screws?

I plan on doing this with my S5. I see you didn't have to lower the sub-frame. Would an engine support bar be just enough to lift the engine for clearance?

good job , only problem is that doing all this work to mount used replacement parts it`s not a good example .

      @GetJobDoneofficial  3 роки тому +2

Thanks for this comment. Not all parts going back in are brand new, providing they are in very good condition and genuine Audi, but for the video I know people would love to see new shiny parts going in. Still driving on those every day and is all perfect ..

You're lucky, doing my a5 motor mounts and the lower mount cover bolts stripped on both sides, and both m14 bolts are corroded to the motor mount . What should be a 30 minute job each side, has turned into hours of cutting bolts, air hammer to remove them.
