  • Happy Wednesday BDT Crew!
    We are back at it again with another B8.5 s4 Install.
    This time we are throwing in some CTS 50 Durometer Motor Mounts!
    After installing the ECS Exhaust and test pipes, I've been experiencing major vibration issues.
    I'm hoping to solve part of this issue by securing the engine, while also preparing for the amount of power we will be producing with the upcoming performance programming.
    Stay tuned for a P3 gauge install and an update on the Upgraded exhaust setup!
    As always let us know what you think of the video or if you have any questions, and don't for get to Like and Subscribe!
    Thanks for watching!

    When I did mine I just dropped the steering rack by removing the 2 bolts as well as the sway bar and had plenty of room to remove engine mounts. Why go through the hassle with the whole subframe?

      If the lift would of raised higher it would of been a whole lot easier. Suffrage dropping is easy if you have a proper lift.

    Looking at these engine mounts. Any feedback on performance?

    Great video. This fix your problem? Just ordered an ECS exhaust (no test pipes) + APR intercooler.

      Brandon Sweeney it’s help a lot! But the issue is not comply gone. The wrapping of the exhaust and the exhaust dampener should solve it.

    Hi there, how many hr does it take to replace them and roughly, how much should I expect to pay for it? Thanks mate

    • @boostdynamictuning
      @boostdynamictuning  4 роки тому +1

      Hello, expect it to be around 6hrs for the install, and the motor mounts were priced at around $600 - $1000. The labor cost on a job like this would be around $800 - $1000.

    Hey considering getting these. After having them for a while how was your experience with them? Would you recommend these? Or should i pay the extra $140 for 034 mounts?

      Mounts are still holding up strong till this day! Just went to a dyno event and won it! 473hp to the wheels for over 3 years and still holding up. Great product

      @@boostdynamictuningHello friend, good tutorial!!! Could you tell me how to know if they are in bad condition? What would be the symptoms, noises, etc.???? thank you and greetings.

    Audi SQ5 2015... can bad ruined engine mount can cause gearbox hard and weird shifting? Or make like a safe mode on gear when turn into a street???

    • @boostdynamictuning
      @boostdynamictuning  2 роки тому

      Usually not the case, maybe a hard shift as in feeling it through the body kf the car. No actual shift issues or sage mode would occur from bad engine mounts.

    Hello I am curious if there were any special hoses or lines to disconnect for the DSG gearbox?? 034 motorsport’s instructions say there might be, but doesn’t list, or show any. Thank you

    • @boostdynamictuning
      @boostdynamictuning  4 роки тому +1

      No, there won't be any lines to disconnect, but I did lower the transmission just a little bit.

    Since the right-left camber is changed by moving the front subframe, was there any alignment required after doing this?

    • @boostdynamictuning
      @boostdynamictuning  3 роки тому

      Yes an alignment was done right after
      We installed springs right after so I didn't state this sorry.

    how much should a shop be charging me to install this, part cost aside as i have the part with me

    • @boostdynamictuning

      That is all shop/tech dependent. You'll have to call your local shops to get some quotes.
