The benefit of indie games: no time crunch to ship out a subpar product, find solutions in areas, etc. Especially no DEI shenanigans changing the original visions of the game.
Unfortunately, this sort of things often happens when minority people “break the mold” of expected opinions or thoughts, even a little as long as it’s to a noticeable degree. Whether it be, be it black peopke, Hispanics, gays, transgenders, etc. There’s a sort of “community pressure” that often gets put on people to not break the mold, and ironically, it usually doesn’t require input from others. Like to give an example: if you ever for some reason meet a log cabin republic, ask them their experiences within “the community” (nevermind dating), and you’ll there’s a good chance that you’ll get either the answer of “I don’t associate” or you’ll be told of bad experiences if/when they actually opened their mouths about their own mindsets. I see a lot of people in the last few years in comments on these sorts of videos saying similar things about their experiences within other communities of their own. It seems that people in general often “police their own”, but it’s often in ways that aren’t actually all that positive or welcoming afterall.

Indie devs make quality affordable games so far within 2023 - 2024... its comical but sad to see that Triple A game Corps are blinded by pride and pursuit of money that we get crappy games at £80 a piece

Unfortunately, this sort of things often happens when minority people “break the mold” of expected opinions or thoughts, even a little as long as it’s to a noticeable degree. Whether it be, be it black peopke, Hispanics, gays, transgenders, etc. There’s a sort of “community pressure” that often gets put on people to not break the mold, and ironically, it usually doesn’t require input from others. Like to give an example: if you ever for some reason meet a log cabin republic, ask them their experiences within “the community” (nevermind dating), and you’ll there’s a good chance that you’ll get either the answer of “I don’t associate” or you’ll be told of bad experiences if/when they actually opened their mouths about their own mindsets. I see a lot of people in the last few years in comments on these sorts of videos saying similar things about their experiences within other communities of their own. It seems that people in general often “police their own”, but it’s often in ways that aren’t actually all that positive or welcoming afterall.
He needs to keep speaking out. He probably has an extremely clear cut winnable case of discrimination and intimidation against his employers.
