Absolutely love early Queen songs and the greatest hidden gem of all time is " White Queen " Odeon, Hammersmith Live 1975. This song is hauntingly beautiful and insanely unique and it was written by Brian May PhD and it's based on a true story while at University. He was very smitten with her but didn't have the courage to ask her out and by the time he did, she was taken! Please! Please! and thank you Stacy.🫶💙🌈👑
Nice reaction. I have never heard this live and I am pleasantly surprised that I remembered the lyrics. When this was released, I memorized this song to drive my parents crazy by singing it as fast as I could. Thanks for the memory!
Yep singing along with this was a challenge teenage me learning English through Queen lyrics ( besides school, not instead 😂) could not resist and now i’m 49 and still I just have to sing it every time. Btw @Stacey look for a YT video of Brian May explaining how the “Red Special” was created, not to react to but just to treat yourself ❤
Hi Stacey! I love the way you present and pass on the legacy of Queen. I like the tears and the passion with which you feel each song. I have loved this band for over 40 years and I would recommend a stop in Rio, specifically Rock in Rio '85 live Queen- Love of my life. You will see what it means to control the crowd (non-english speakers)and the love for Freddie of over half a million people out on the street. It is one of the only moments when the crowd sings more than the singer, this becoming one of Freddie's favorite moments as he himself declares. Thx for your good job!
Metallica's cover of this song is lit. When James Hetfield did this with Tony Iomi and the rest of Queen at The Freddy Mercury tribute concert, it was electric. Also, there was absolutely no limit to what Queen created. They were a hugely versatile band.
Came here just to say the same thing. Metallica are masters of cover tunes! Especially the songs that seem odd for a metal band like Bob Seger- Turn The Page or Blue Oyster Cult- Astronomy.
Hi Stacey and greetings from England 🇬🇧 you really need to check out The Tribute Concert to Freddie Mercury when Queen with George Michael as Lead singer of Queen that night sang "Somebody To Love" and this was such a powerful performance by Queen and George Michael!!! It really was an emotional tribute to late great Freddie Mercury!!! Also it was at Wembley Stadium were Freddie gave the greatest performance of his Life at Live Aid in 1985. Freddie is a national treasure in The UK 🇬🇧 and will never be forgotten by us Brits and Stacey you will love this tribute concert to Freddie Mercury and it really is so worth watching to see the love for Freddie.
Thanks Stacey❤ One of your OGs... I hopped on the QUEEN Rock Wagon when their eponymous release, and more specifically, the track KEEP YOURSELF ALIVE blew up my radio. I'd already been a fan for a year when the rest of the world caught up with the mega-hit A Night at the Opera. I'm not the first, probably not the last, Queen fan, but one of many, many millions that have discovered the magic, brilliance and originality of this quartet. Nobody starts at the top, but these four artists made short work of the climb and made it appear they were born there. As experimental and edgy as they were at times, they still managed to stay very grounded at others. Songs like this, Bohemian Rhapsody and Prophet's Song demonstrate their edgier efforts, and tracks like You're My Best Friend and Crazy Little Thing Called Love their more "grounded" side. As you've come to know, Freddie simply commanded the crowd with his undeniable magnetism. PROPHET'S SONG next please!
One secret that Brian May used to get a heavier/edgier sound was that instead of a regular guitar pick, he actually hit the strings with a British sixpence coin.
I love your Queen reactions, one of the best reactors on UA-cam.You should definitely check their latter material such as The Show Must Go On or These Are The Days Of Hour Lives, you'll get emotional again with these fantastic songs particularly These Are The Days Of Our Lives. That was Freddie's last video before he sadly passed away in 1991.A true rock god and legend whos hone but will definitely never be forgotten.

You should do "now I'm here" live from 75 ish at Hammersmith...they did this song when I saw them and I was blown away!!
Not only a great song, but really nice live footage as well. I saw them back in the late 70s, so dang good! Can't wait to see the rest of your Queen experience!
Freddie was a true showman. His final recoding on Queen’s final album was called The Show Must Go On. One of Queen’s most powerful songs in my opinion.
Keep in mind the guitar player has a PhD in astrophysics and has been involved in space projects. He also hand-built that guitar. Brian May, PhD is awesome.
With Sheer Heart Attack they started to do very diverse albums (up to The Game) in style. SHA is an album you should enjoy as a whiole. At that time as with Queen 2 they were really progressive. With this song they even invented speed/thrash metal 10 years before it was a thing.
One of my all time favs. My old band covered this except we learned to play it with the 33rpm album on 45rpm and learned it killer fast. If you think this was short our cover was even shorter. We did the same with their song Sheer Heart Attack off News of the World. We always did them as the last song on our last set to close out the show. Playing so fast really tired you out you had to do them last.
Happy Birthday Stacey!! Great reaction, for which I say Thank You!! While you are enjoying getting to know some of the music of this amazing band, you have actually no idea yet as to their versatility and overall talent. Once you are done with "White Queen" at the Odeon Hammersmith 1975 (your next reaction to this band), and several other live performances, you MUST add to your list these songs (no good live versions I am aware of, though if I am wrong people, please correct me), "Nevermore", "Bring Back Leroy Brown", "March of the Black Queen" and "The Lap of the Gods" (the first one).
Just discovered you on You Yube - I have always liked Queen but have only recently discovered that I LOVE Queen. Have you heard " '39" yet? Folk style Queen, pretty much just Brian May singing and an acoustic guitar. I was lucky enough to catch Sir May performing like this at a concert. (Plus it is an astrophysicist singing about Albert Einstein's theory of time dialation which has since been proven, not something you hear often from rock bands). Also check out "Tenement Funster", Roger Taylor singing. You can hear Freddie singing back-up on both and there are more sung by both Brian and Roger but these are my favorite. Queen were blessed with 4 amazing song writers and 3 great singers. Also check out funky Queen, "Dragon Attack", I clearly agree with your statement, crazy versatile!
The Sheer Heart Attack album is great and was my first album of theirs I got. My Mom brought it for me after almost wearing out their classic single Bohemian Rhapsody. Their 1st 6 albums are my favourites and are a heavier sounding Queen in my opinion although I love all their albums. I still miss Freddy and have a tear in my eye when certain songs play. I've been the same watching with you on the channel. He was a great performer and one who can never be replicate. Thanks for this heavier but short track. One of my favourites.

@@vicprovost2561 completely agree... that is Queen to me...much more than a lot of later songs....when the synthesiser came in...even so.. Freddie was a one off...✌️
A blinder of a song on a fabulous album, and a great gig! Queen could really throw themselves into anything that they wanted. I hope eventually you go to their albums and listen to them. What you will notice is that they never really let any expectations come into their choices. Possibly setting the first two albums aside, everything from 1974's Sheer Heart Attack (this song is from that) through to their last had a mixture of styles and ideas all knocking up against one another on each album.. you could never be sure what style the next track was going to be. I think some considered that a point of contention at times, but I loved it.
Yes, some real Rocking Queen! They have all kinds of tunes but some stray from Rock as Freddy could not be put in a box. BUT for me, when they Rock Out like this, it truly blows me away. This is from their early Hard Rocking era, their first 3 albums are hard rock masterpieces which influenced all heavy bands that came after, their tours in 1974 can be seen on You Tube, from that era see the live video for Liar, another all time classic banger. Same concert, it is full of freaking bangers from the early days. I saw them on their first 3 tours, you have a good sample here on how heavy these guys can get, also try Great King Rat & Jesus from the their first album, Ogre Battle from the 2nd and Brighton Rock from their 3rd album, Killer Queen. These songs are utter bangers just like what you just heard, Freddy knocks it out with killer hard rock frontman God vocals and Brian May and the band rip it up. One the best ever, check them out with these deep cuts sometime and not just the hits, they give a whole new perspective on just how great they were. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
So glad you did this one ! At the Freddie Mercury tribute concert James Hatfield from Metallica joined Queen to perform this in honor of Freddie. Still too short.
Hi there. I really love your reactions. Just watched your reaction to Queen at live aid and your emotions to Freddie's interaction with the audience. Please react to "Love of My Life" at Wembley Stadium 1986. The interaction is incredibly beautiful. Please keep posting your wonderful reactions. ❤
Hi Stacey, thanks for reacting to this underrated gem of a Queen song :) I agree with your critique of it Queen are the GOAT's of live rock. Please react to their banging live version of Tie Your Mother Down in Montreal 1981 :)
You just must react to ''The show must go on'' Its Freddies last song ever recorded. He recorded it only 6 weeks before he tragicly died of HIV/Aids. When the band recorded the song in 1990, Freddies condition had deteriorated to the point that May had concerns as to whether he was physically capable of singing it. May recalls; "I said, 'Fred, I don't know if this is going to be possible to sing.' And he went, 'I'll fucking do it, darling'-vodka down-and went in and killed it, completely lacerated that vocal" I recomed to watch : Queen - The Show Must Go On (with lyrics) - In memory of Freddie Mercury RIP Freddie
I can suggest some songs, not too famous, but great (the last 2 are my top favorites): - Let Me Entertain You (Queen - Let Me Entertain You (Live at the Montreal Forum, 1981 Remastered)) - You're My Best Friend (Queen - You're My Best Friend (Official Lyric Video)) - Keep Yourself Alive (Queen - Keep Yourself Alive (2024 Special Edition)(Official Video)) - Seven Seas Of Rhye (Queen The Greatest Live: Seven Seas Of Rhye (Episode 25)) - Liar (Queen - Liar (Official Video Remastered)) - Now I'm Here (Queen - Now I'm Here (Live at the Rainbow 1974)) - The Prophets Song (Queen - The Prophets Song (Official Lyric Video)) - Teo Torriate (Queen - Teo Torriatte (2005 Video))
Hey Stacey! I love tuning in for your reactions. Surprises me that you've never heard these songs. Now Queen is killer (pardon the pun) but Pink Floyd is really what flips my creative mind into overdrive! I've followed them for years and know most everything there is to know. I'd love to discuss them further with you if you respond to me. But I know this is a Queen forum so I'd have to say my fav jams are "Play The Game", "It's Late", and "Gimmie The Prize" (and yes I go for the deeper cuts) ;)
I never get bored with Queen and even have a Queen (and Pink Floyd) internet radio station as background music. I have just bought the A Kind of Magic vinyl. I am not sure you have heard tracks from that one yet. I can recommend all the tracks from it. Much of the music was made for the 1986 Highlander film. There is a good A Kind of Magic music video on youtube.
In some ways this song was the birth of Thrash and Speed metal... and its a Freddie song. Not a Brian one (and he loves Metal) But Freddie. The one who brought "ballet to the masses"
Make sure to check out Queen's studio version of the song "You Take My Breath Away" with headphones on!! Absolutely stunningly beautiful with amazing vocals (all vocals are Freddie) - and you WILL need kleenex!!
If you like fast rock songs by Queen, check out "Modern Times Rock and Roll" sung by Roger Taylor. Also, "Dead On Time" sung by Mercury. BTW there's an old action film called "Hard Core Henry" (2015). The trailer contains a song by Queen, "Don't Stop Me Now". Queen's Albums, "Sheer Heat Attack", and their debut album are my two favorite Queen albums. "Stone Cold Crazy" is one of my favorite all too short rock songs, right up there with "Immigrant Song", "Paranoid", "Tush", and "Star Baby".
Please react to Robbie Williams - Angels + Feel Live at Knebworth. He is the biggest solo singer with 14 nr.1 albums in the UK. He performed live at knebworth in 2003 over 3 nights with an audience over 375‘000 people.
Metallica did a great version of this great song on the tribe to Queen album plus they played it live for the tribute to queen concert after Freddie passed. And they put it on their garage days album an Metallica album loaded with tributes to their musical heroes
Many people consider Stone Cold Crazy to be the first thrash metal song. It has all the elements of 80’s thrash!
Of course. They’re to many actual bands who have covered the song.
This might be the only song Metallica covered that the original was just as hard, if not harder.
It was written in 1968, I believe! so ahead of its time xx

Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
Sheer Heart Attack album had Killer Queen on it...
So glad you did this one ! At the Freddie Mercury tribute concert James Hatfield from Metallica joined Queen to perform this in honor of Freddie. Still too short.
Also Metallica did a set of their own to open the show and the show is one of the best concerts ever imo so many great artists paid tribute to him!
I love your content and your 😊awesome
Great reaction from you.❤ i heard queen on❤ a special one for Freddy and the singer for this one was james from metallica ❤
It's a very Killer Song!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Early Queen for me the only Queen to listen too
Freddie, John, Roger and Brian together were lightning in a bottle✨⚡️💫🌟
I like queen more now because of you , thank you Stacey
Hi Stacey, thanks for reacting to this underrated gem of a Queen song :) I agree with your critique of it Queen are the GOAT's of live rock. Please react to their banging live version of Tie Your Mother Down in Montreal 1981 :)
You just must react to ''The show must go on''
Its Freddies last song ever recorded. He recorded it only 6 weeks before he tragicly died of HIV/Aids. When the band recorded the song in 1990, Freddies condition had deteriorated to the point that May had concerns as to whether he was physically capable of singing it. May recalls; "I said, 'Fred, I don't know if this is going to be possible to sing.' And he went, 'I'll fucking do it, darling'-vodka down-and went in and killed it, completely lacerated that vocal"
I recomed to watch : Queen - The Show Must Go On (with lyrics) - In memory of Freddie Mercury
RIP Freddie
Oh there is one word, Legends
I Want It All! Brakthru! Innuendo! Headlong! I'm Going Slighlty Mad! Freddie and Montserrat Caballé's Barcelona!!!
Iv loved since day one bit iv never heard this song before
I can suggest some songs, not too famous, but great (the last 2 are my top favorites):
- Let Me Entertain You (Queen - Let Me Entertain You (Live at the Montreal Forum, 1981 Remastered))
- You're My Best Friend (Queen - You're My Best Friend (Official Lyric Video))
- Keep Yourself Alive (Queen - Keep Yourself Alive (2024 Special Edition)(Official Video))
- Seven Seas Of Rhye (Queen The Greatest Live: Seven Seas Of Rhye (Episode 25))
- Liar (Queen - Liar (Official Video Remastered))
- Now I'm Here (Queen - Now I'm Here (Live at the Rainbow 1974))
- The Prophets Song (Queen - The Prophets Song (Official Lyric Video))
- Teo Torriate (Queen - Teo Torriatte (2005 Video))
hello stacey 😀happy birthday to you 🎂🎂🎂
Hi Stacy. Love all their songs, love your reactions. I think you’d love “You Take My Breath Away” in 1976…live.
I am a Queen fanatic and will unapologetically proclaim Queen to be the greatest of all time. Please react to Radio GaGa.
Check out 'Queen - Love of My Life Live at Wembley 1986.' One of Queen's iconic interactions with fans, breathtaking!
In some ways this song was the birth of Thrash and Speed metal... and its a Freddie song. Not a Brian one (and he loves Metal) But Freddie. The one who brought "ballet to the masses"
Also you like Metal Queen? The first two albums have metal and Prog Rock throughout
The four members wrote this song.
@@SimonT-xo7qf The Words are Freddie,, possibly Wreckage, it predates Queen. The Music sure, was a group effort. The point is its NOT a Brian song.
@@davidmacfarlane1763 yes that’s true. I also heard that Freddie came up with the riff like he did for Ogre Battle.
James Hetfield of Metallica sang this with Queen at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. Great version.
Make sure to check out Queen's studio version of the song "You Take My Breath Away" with headphones on!! Absolutely stunningly beautiful with amazing vocals (all vocals are Freddie) - and you WILL need kleenex!!
AWWWWWE STACE !!!! NOW IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO CHECK OUT METALLICA'S COVER OF THIS TUNE !!!!
IMO... Metallica took it another level 🔥🤘🏽🔥
@@PML78 agreed as the guys ALWAYS make it their own when they cover something 🤘🤘❤❤
Love early Queen? Then you must listen to White Queen from the Queen 2 album. Also, March of the Black Queen from the same album. Both stunning.
This is much danker than most of Queens repritior. So skilled they could easily have been Metal.
For something completely different please react to 'You take my breath away" live. Just Freddie on the piano singing with so much feeling.
I always thought, "...and then you have Brian May"
This song like the god father of speed metal. Check out "Who Need You" for latin vibe or "Melancholy Blues" for bluesy sensation.
The First 3 albums are fantastic listen to them all songs on utube
I need Slaughter To Prevail !!! )))
Could this be the first thrash metal song?
I’d say “Brighton Rock” is the first thrash song - ESPECIALLY with that middle section. 🤘🏼 Naturally Queen are the pioneers!
Or Symptom of the Universe by Black Sabbath, recorded right around the same time. Genius bands think alike.
Yes, or Queen's Ogre Battle. Freddie actually wroe Stone Cold Crazy around 1969, they performed from the start, but Brian speed it up.
Stooges 'I Got a Right' pre-dates this song by two years.
You should check out the first half hour of wembley 12 July concert. It is unblieveable
If you like this song check out I Want It All by Queen Freddie Mercury goes off on that song
yes!
I have a Queen suggestion, the song One Vision!
Now you need to react to Freddie Mercury's tribute to Elvis......"Crazy Little Thing Called Love".
Great reaction! 👏 MORE QUEEN! 👑
Pleeease react to 'Let Me Live' ❤
Metallica did a great version of this great song on the tribe to Queen album plus they played it live for the tribute to queen concert after Freddie passed. And they put it on their garage days album an Metallica album loaded with tributes to their musical heroes
Stacey, take a look at The Travelling Wilburys. Four legends of the music scene.
And with this track, thrash metal was born! Metallica has done an epic cover of this
I agree 🤘🏽
You should check out "Who wants to live forever" and "The show must go on"
