This was the opening title track to their final record. Freddie was in a lot of pain while recording this album. He kept going. Sometimes he would even lie down flat on his back while recording his vocals. Just to get them down. The final song, The Show Must Go On is also a must listen. He's literally telling his band mates to continue after he's gone. It rips me to pieces to hear this album. I played it hundreds of times that year and when I heard the news I was devastated. I remember buying the 45 of Killer Queen in 1974 when I was 7 and first getting into music.
You could tell how tight of a band they were at this late point in their history and just how agreeable they all were to experimenting with new sounds and direction in the creative process. Freddies vocals, as always, are perfection and you could tell he was having existential thoughts at this time in his life. Brian May on guitar links it all together by not conforming to 1 rigid way of playing and the drums and bass are as solid as ever. Queen was not just a band…they were theatre. As always, I love your channel and your reactions Maddy.
Thanks for not interrupting this masterpiece. Fun fact: the one and only time an outside member participated, Steve Howe of Yes on flamenco guitar. I rushed out and bought the cd the second i heard it. We all also had a feeling Freddy's life mayve been ending.
Amazing track. Love the video too. Very creative. They always wanted people to get many meanings from their songs….& yes I too believe it’s hopeful, “we’ll keep on trying, until the end of time”

@@MaddyReactions Innuendo is the last act of one of the greatest characters to ever grace the stage. It's a song that managed to make me travel through space and time every time I listened to it with my eyes closed. In my opinion it is a masterpiece that combines Rock and a pinch of eccentric classic.
@MichelRoelfsema to be exact, the innuendo album was released 9 months (February 1991) before Freddie Mercury's death (November 1991) so, about a year.
This was close to Freddie's death, title track of their last album. I feel that a lot of this album was his swansong. Some of the track titles certainly made me feel so. Such as: I'm Going Slightly Mad, The Show Must Go On, These are the Days of Our Lives and of course this one. I've never researched it and no doubt proper Queen aficionados will comment more about it. In short though, this is a brilliant song and you summed it up quite beautifully.
They did this toward the end with Freddie and still had their mojo and could make great music still. For once the video went well with the tune, they just had 'It' until the very end. How about them at the beginning, young and hungry, establishing their unique sound and exhibiting the power and glory of Rock? From their first, ground breaking and killer debut album, self titled 'Queen', do Liar, do it studio original video then live 1974, it is a stunning song right off the bat and great composition, Freddie already shows his vocal mastery and Brian May and the band just show everyone that a new force is rising in rock. I saw their first 3 tours when they were conquering the world, live in the 70s they were Rock Gods! Enjoy. 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶🔥
Definitely one of their lesser known works, but an exceptional composition. This was the last album released in Freddie's lifetime. He was getting pretty sick by this point. Stylistically, even though this was at the end of Freddie's life, it is really reminiscent of their mid 70's era of large, exaggerated productions. Freddie sadly passed 9 months after it was released, and there was no tour.
This was 1991 (the year Freddie Died] and kinda of a comeback album. It was their first number one in the US since "Under Pressure" in 1981. Freddie wrote the middle 8 first and Jonathan Taylor wrote the rest. Freddie Wanted a song about people trying to tell you how to live your life. The flamenco part was played by Steve Howe of Yes. First, non-member of Queen to play guitar on one of their songs.
Freddie always made you think about it, left us too soon...his showmanship was and still is unrivaled. Thanks for sharing💚

Innuendo was last album recorded by Queen in 1991.
Freddie made this album on his death bed. The Greatest frontman ever. Steve Howe of YES playing the Spanish guitar.

Not really but it was recorded when the desease was in a point of not return

👍🏼😎I would tentatively say bulk of Queen songs are more in this style, the mainstream hits being the different ones, last album with Freddie
Oooh wow!!
Please react to Queen with Patti Russo.
Hah! Very TRUE🙏
Highly eclectic work by Queen, not easy to pin down.
Right? What’s your interpretation?

Jonathan Taylor? Like Jonathan Taylor Thomas? Didn’t know he was talented in that way.
Comeback album? Jonathan Taylor? What?
Wrong and wrong. Its Roger Taylor and it wasnt number 1 in the US.
Queen's only US number 1 album was The Game.
