Roger Taylor (drums) is one of the best rocksingers out there, but well, he had Freddie in his band. Roger has done some solo-albums and had his own band THE CROSS, even parallel to Queen. He wrote some huge Queen-hits.
Super underrated Queen song from The Game, but that happens when it's sharing an album with Another One Bites the Dust and Crazy Little Thing! I also love Sail Away Sweet Sister - probably the best Bri vocals in a song.
Roger Taylor's vocals are fantastic, and his drumming is superb as well. What you will find with Freddie, is that every performance, interview, film clip you see will only make it more clear what a truly amazing person he was. A genuine phenomenon who comes along once in a century or two.
Welcome to the Queen rabbit hole! Queen has a huge catalogue, so you're in for a fun ride. You should be aware that you're now a magnet for Queen fans. We flock to new reactors. 😊 Actually, the studio version of this song is wonderful, but is quite different. Freddie always tried to make each live performance of a song fresh and new, and said that if people wanted to hear the studio version, they should just stay at home and play the record. As others have said, their 20 minute set at Live Aid in 1985 is brilliant, as are all their live shows. Just so you know, if you share videos from the Official Queen Channel, you don't need to use a filter...
Queen are the benchmark for live performance & musicianship. As has been already mentioned their Live Aid performance is a must for many reasons. It was a charity concert so the audience was mixed, Queen where not on the bill when the tickets were sold, but by the end of the 20 minute set you'd think from the crowd reaction that you'd just watched a Queen concert. There's a documentary called something like "20 minutes that changed rock history" about this performance. Both Brian May (guitar) and Roger Taylor (drums) are successful lead men in their own rights, but Roger possesses a powerful falsetto (high) range which Freddie often referred to as the "Dog Whistle". The very high "Galileo"s in Bohemian Rhapsody are all Roger. To hear that range live check out "In the lap of the gods" from around 1974 (there's also a track called "In the lap of the gods (revisited)" which is a different song. For an example of their musical synergy look no further than "White Queen" from Hammersmith Odeon. Singing drummers do exist (Don Henley from Eagles), but a modern day specialist of this skill is Paulina Villarreal from a band called The Warning - 3 sisters from Mexico who are the real deal. Their channel is full of content and anything from their Teatro Metropolitan show in 2022 is top quality. Paulina sings lead on a number of their songs while beating the living hell out of her drum kit - Dust to Dust & 23 are two prime examples.
The studio version is full of great harmonies that they can’t really reproduce on stage but what they can’t do live, they make up for it by being SO FRIKKIN QUEEN!!!!!
this was his mom's favorite song, and freddie felt more free to play around with it than any other tune on their list. there are 100 different "somebody to loves".
It’s amazing to watch your reactions to Freddie’s voice Stacey. I have heard this performance hundreds of times and you take for granted how wonderful Freddie’s voice was. It’s not until someone like yourself who has only just discovered Queen’s music makes you realise how fantastic the group was and how brilliant John, Brian, Roger and our beloved Freddie were together ❤
I think somebody is falling under Freddie's spell!!!! 😂🙂 Isn't it great that we have these wonderful Queen videos to remind ourselves of these great live performances.
many tear up when they recognize true talent, talent that loved doing what they did. this was Freddie, a true Unicorn. RIP. going to say it again, check out Live Aid, Freddie played the crowd, all 72,000 people in Wembley, and the millions around the world who tuned in. good vid, always fun to see people experience new things.
Thanks for a great reaction. I love this song, and this performance is truly magnificent. Roger Taylor has an amazing voice, as well as being a great drummer. The entire band were world class.
You just witnessed the 2nd greatest live performance from this band😂❤Yes the drummer has a magnificent voice as well as his drumming 😂 check out his song dedicated to Freddie called Old Friends. RIP Freddie. Yes Roger, drummer has a solo career. Brian May, guitarist, also has very good vocals.
The Show Must Go On. You have to, have to have to see that. I remember the first time I saw the video to that just after Fred passed, I was bawling like a schoolgirl. Magnificent.
You will love “Who Wants to Live Forever “ live in Budapest is the very best performance of this song . Thank you for Reacting to Queen . Four musical geniuses . Queen is Freddie and Freddie is Queen ❤️
Thank you for reacting to this. If you love his animation, the Live Aid full set in 1985 is legendary for that and the whole hint is mesmerizing. . But in 1975, the Bohemian Rhapsody official video will show you all his and their sounds, the harmonies there are super, and his voice…omg. He was the greatest, and I love even more Brian and Roger for keeping his legacy and Queens legacy alive to this day. Also, check out their official video of this song, it’s just as great but also very different, you can see how they actually perform those harmonies in action, and more, which Queen and Freddie always performed their songs differently live because they felt it as more fun to give that to the audience. And ys, they had the perfect chemistry for their group, they were so intelligent and had such great instincts and talents. ❤
Thank you Stacey for reacting to my all time favorite band Queen. It was my very first concert I went to in 1986, I was just 11 years old. Sadly though it was also the last time, not long after Freddie past away😢. I still miss him….
The drummers name is Roger Taylor and his vocal range is insane. If you want to hear him sing, react to “I’m in Love With My Car” from the same concert. ❤
I was lucky enough to see them as an 18 year old kid in 1982. I didn't really wanna go, as by that point in time, their music had changed considerably from stuff like this. But my older sister INSISTED I go with her. So I let her take me. I'm so glad I listened to my sis. We were in the 3rd row right in front of Freddie's piano. Well, that is until Freddie said, "SCREW SECURITY! RUSH THE STAGE!!!" I was then about 20 people back, standing on my seat to see the show. 😂😂😂 No biggie for me, I'm over 6', but my sister was plenty p.o.'d. 😂 One of the best concerts I've ever seen to this date. Freddie had the audience in the palm of his hand all night. He owned the stage every single night. Phenomenal talent.
Roger's background vocals are like none other. And well Freddie is just brilliant. This is my favorite performance. Live Aid full 20 minutes is a must my friend. Peace out girl ✌️ ☮️
Freddie he’s simply the GOAT. Great vocalist, such an amazing pianist, a good songwriter, and his stage persona. Can’t wait for your next Queen reaction. If you like to see Roger singing, you can find a medley always from the Montreal concert, and it’s called Killer Queen and I’m in Love with my Car
He was just magical. Owned the stage for sure. When I was a kid I would be dancing and singing along. Then later on when I was tired I'd put on the pink Floyd and dream away, priceless

The Queen rabbit hole is unbelievably deep and wide. They have been my favorite since I was a kid in the 70’s. I saw this tour. It was my first concert ever. 1980. Enjoy the journey!
Usually Freddie is an impossible act to follow or emulate. But I recommend checking out George Michael’s performance of this song at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert from 1992. It is stunning.
I am convinced that each of the members of Queen could have fronted a successful Rock Band based on their individual sheer talent. Together, they were incredible. I still think that they may have been Fae
Queen was the first band i come to love for real. Freddie is out of this world. Their first two albums is my favourit albums. But almost everything they did where amazing. Thank you for this beautiful reaction Stacy!❤❤❤

As of now, I have lived, breathed & loved Queen & Freddie Mercury for about 15 years. All 4 of these guys are literal geniuses: an electrical engineer, a PhD of Astrophysics, and an almost dentist. The 3 were accompanied by a legendary graphic designer from Ealing College with a 3.5-4 octave range who played the guitar, piano, drums and audience seamlessly and flawlessly. I cannot ever listen to another Freddie Mercury song or video for the first time because I've seen them all countless times. The next best thing is watching somebody else hear & see him for the first time. The joy I just witnessed on your face at 2:04 actually brought tears to my eyes! I'm sure you don't believe that, but it's true. Welcome to Queen and Freddie Mercury! ***But *** I want to let you know something since you are watching this version: this concert almost never came about. The band hired the recording company to video the concert. Queen's concerts were known for audience participation and Freddie was a MASTER. However, once the concert was edited & put together, the company edited out a LOT of audience participation. They were LIVID. They complained to get the audience back in the concert, but somehow it had gotten wiped out or thrown out. So when Freddie is telling the audience to sing and stomp, you can barely hear them at all. This is NOT how it happened and it's certainly NOT what Queen wanted. Especially when Freddie says "do it with me!" and "keep it going!" it almost sounds like nobody is doing it or nobody's even paying attention. This is incorrect, however. Just thought you may want to consider that.
One thing that's not said often enough on reactions to this song is this was the 4th song of the night. They had a 21 song set with 2 encores totalling 5 more songs This is, imo, the best live performance of a single song there is.
GREAT reaction, all of us who got to witness the great rock band Queen throughout the Freddie Mercury years are so blessed. I’m an old man of 61, but I was lucky enough to see Queen live in New York City (Madison Square Garden) back in 1976 & 1978. I was a teenager, but loved Queen from back in the early 1970s. Those two shows I witnessed live were the 2 greatest concerts I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been to a lot of concerts. Freddie’s voice Was 2nd to none when it comes to rock vocalists. He had so much range, and it was all effortless as you stated. He was also a humble guy, I read a quote of his, he allegedly replied to the question, “what’s it like being the world’s greatest rock singer ?”, he replied, “I don’t know, go ask Steve Perry”. They said that the quote can’t be proven to have ever been asked and answered that way. But Mercury was a humble guy. Also had the confidence of a great rock singer, so the quote could be made up.
I can't wait for you to discover what you've been missing like. ELO: Telephone Line/ Turn to Stone. Or CHICAGO: 25 or 6 to 4/Wishing You Were Here. Or KANSAS: Carry-on My Wayward Son. Or BOSTON: Foreplay Longtime/ A Man I'll Never Be. Enjoy it, girl. 😎👍
Stacey, please listen to more Queen music from the first to last album, stage shows and right up to his death, they were four unique people who came together and created something special that you will never see again, ever!!
You can not go wrong with any song from this concert. They were touring for "The Game" album, which came June 30th 1980. I saw them at Madison Square Garden in September 1980. My favorite track from that album and song during the show is "Save Me". I highly recommend watching it.
This is the most perfect flawless live performance ever. Just 4 very talented guys in total sync - no autotune, no ear monitors, no backing singers or dancers - pure tight performance ... and luckily we have a high quality video. You must see Freddie's last works - "Barcelona" - read the story and be astounded. Original music died the day Freddie passed.
I was indoctrinated by their first single "Killer Queen". I saw them 6 times in the late 70s and early 80s. This has been my favorite band since then. I'm 61 now and am delighted by Stacy's reactions. If you want to give me a shout, I'll gladly share some 35mm shots I took over the years. The drummer that you are enamored with is Roger Meadows Taylor. He's the high voice in Bohemian Rhapsody. You need to see the movie of the same name. No other band has had the impact on my life, nor made me question my own sexuality. Beauty comes in many forms. But the way it manifested collectively in the person of Freddie Mercury is, was, and forever will be an inspiration. DO NOT MISTAKE the 2nd place loser of a shit show of talent as an acceptable place holder. With all due respect to John, Brian, and Roger, there is not and will never be another worthy of his crown.
This is from their Live Aid performance, 1985. Their set was 21 minutes of unbeatable fire. Highly recommend giving it a watch, if for nothing else than a love of music.
Never seen Stacey before, other than today, your reaction to one of the best bands in the world, Freddie, Brian, Roger and John, is amazing, you obviously appreciate and get Queen and understand how good they were!!
Love the emotions in your reaction ! Roger (the drummer) would have been the lead singer in any other band in the world...but Freddie was available in Queen.
Great choice. I first heard Queen when i was young - We Will Rock You, - still a great Rev-up the crowd song. But emotionally - The Show Must Go On is fantastic.
Welcome to the Queen fandom. You have to watch their performance at Live Aid 1985. The best 20 minutes in Rock. Truly. Check out Live Aid and see all the bands performing and a simulcast across the world. Quite a thing for that time.
You shouldn't skip the original album version of this song. Freddie was a visionary in the recording studio, and they multi tracked their backing vocals to sound like a choir of angels.
@UC2mCZQDvHu6gIudCldLM36A Yess..... Now after doing this live version, Please react to the studio version... different but brilliant, you'll enjoy it. Also reacting to Bohemian Rhapsody, the official video is a must! Thank you for your wonderful reactions, pretty lady.

Stacey, you have no idea how much more you have to look forward to regarding Queen. Four of the most talented people in the history of music and as a fan myself of 40 years they are even better live than studio recording. I promise you will not be disappointed. Enjoy your journey down the Queen rabbit hole.
Not only is Freddie one of the greatest voices of the last century but Queen are probably amongst the greatest "live" musicians to ever play. They never sound less than brilliant! You really need to watch the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody!", released in 2018 starring Rami Malek as Freddie..! He actually brings Freddie back with this performance!
I think your ready for Queen at Live Aid 1985. It's approx a 21 minute set. But the show, the power, the audience control is something you will never forget !!!
You should check out Marc Martel. He sang the songs in the Movie "Bohemian Rhapsody" He sounds exactly like Freddie. His "Under Pressure" and "Who Wants to Live Forever" are mind blowing. He also does Luciano Pavarotti and Freddie Mercury singing ‘Nessun dorma’ Called "The Mercurotti"

4:50 He is not looking for somebody to love him, he is looking for somebody for him to love. It is a man's love song, we aren't yearning to be loved, but to give love.

Queen has a huge catalogue, so you're in for a fun ride. You should be aware that you're now a magnet for Queen fans. We flock to new reactors. 😊
Actually, the studio version of this song is wonderful, but is quite different.
Now the perfect follow-up reaction would be QUEEN AT LIVE-AID 1985 (the whole 20 minutes in one go).
We all tear up for Queen.
A lot of sound for a 4 piece band !! Please watch their
“LiveAid” performance !!!
The “GOLD” standard !!❤❤
It’s amazing to watch your reactions to Freddie’s voice Stacey. I have heard this performance hundreds of times and you take for granted how wonderful Freddie’s voice was. It’s not until someone like yourself who has only just discovered Queen’s music makes you realise how fantastic the group was and how brilliant John, Brian, Roger and our beloved Freddie were together ❤
Queen " love of my life " live Montreal 1981,its a thing of beauty, brian may on a 12 string acoustic guitar and Freddie being amazing x :)
I love the version from Rio Brazil
Brian May, one of the greatest rock guitarists of all time, also has a Doctorate in Astrophysics, and collaborated on projects for NASA.
Roger the drummer being able to play drums and sing with his head turned sideways is amazing. So underrated.
You're going to cry your eyes out when you hear him sing love of my life
Yes! Any of the live performances of Love of my Life but my favorite is Wembley
Mercury's sense of vocal dynamics were simply unequaled. Fun reaction.
I was so excited to see you react to this absolutely amazing performance! You can't have your first time again, but I guarantee you'll watch this again! Thanks for sharing this with us!
The Queen rabbit hole is unbelievably deep and wide. They have been my favorite since I was a kid in the 70’s. I saw this tour. It was my first concert ever. 1980. Enjoy the journey!
RIP Freddie Mercury. One of the best.
Not one of the best! The best
Freddie Mercury is my all time favorite vocalist. And Brian May's tone is my all time favorite guitar tone.
Usually Freddie is an impossible act to follow or emulate. But I recommend checking out George Michael’s performance of this song at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert from 1992. It is stunning.
There will NEVER be another Freddie! RIP
The Show Must Go On, Love of My Life, Under Pressure, Bohemian Rhapsody(You've probably heard samples of this somewhere)
I agree the best singer of all time RIP YOU ARE MISSED AND TY FOR ALL YOUR WONDERFUL MUSIC TO CARRY US KEFT HERE THROUGH OUR JOURNEY !
🎼🎼💙💙 ..... okay , Stacey , I just want you to know that THIS song is my favorite song. Not just my favorite song today , this is my favorite song of any genre , of any Era, from any band , in any language , of every song I have ever heard.. I am so glad that you like it, and that it hit you like it did! I loved every second of your reaction.. TY ......... 💙💙🎼🎼
Every single member of Queen was a Doctor in some field! That’s talented!
I was fortunate enough to see Queen several times in the 70's and 80's. Every show was epic. I encourage you to check out the song White Queen, live.
One thing that's not said often enough on reactions to this song is this was the 4th song of the night. They had a 21 song set with 2 encores totalling 5 more songs
This is, imo, the best live performance of a single song there is.
Freddie’s voice
Was 2nd to none when it comes to rock vocalists.
We miss you Freddie Every day of our lives
This performance, Queen’s Montreal show is legendary. It was recently released and currently playing in IMAX theaters
I second Save Me. Such an amazing performance. Also this concerts version of Love of My Life is my favorite.
He was the ultimate performer. Him and his entire band . great song timeless
When a relative died of cancer in the 90's she requested only queen be played in the background during visitations.
she had good taste.
What an amazing performance. Timeless Freddie, awesome Roger, Dr. Sir Brian May killing those guitar riffs, and the steadiest bass fundament... It never gets old.
Queen one of rocks greatest bands ever and maybe surprised at how many hits they have.
Stacey, you have no idea how much more you have to look forward to regarding Queen. Four of the most talented people in the history of music and as a fan myself of 40 years they are even better live than studio recording. I promise you will not be disappointed. Enjoy your journey down the Queen rabbit hole.
Freddie passed from HIV/Aids in 1991… my oldest brother passed in 1986 .. The Day after his 31st birthday from this Horrible disease ✌🏼❤️
Watch the studio version of this song to hear some magnificent choral effects by the group.
I think your ready for Queen at Live Aid 1985. It's approx a 21 minute set. But the show, the power, the audience control is something you will never forget !!!
One of my dream concerts, I would give an organ to go back in time
🙏Hi.
Also…
Back then the live concerts are what sold records. The expectation of fans was an outstanding live concert performance.
Freddie was the hardest loss i ever felt, after family members.
I'll never forget that sense of absolute shock on that day in Nov 91 watching the evening news at dinner... I just couldn't believe the news man was saying that he was gone, it just seamed so unreal...
Him and Queen where such a massive part of my childhood in the 80's, it felt like a piece of it died with him...
To this day, i can't handle to watch the Days Of Our Lives video without crying
question ... do you think people knew about his condition or were completely shocked at the time
@@XxThePhantomFreezexX Maybe in the UK people may have suspected that things weren't ok, due to rumors and speculation on the press and paparazzi. But no one knew, other than the band and Jim Beach.
But over in my country? No one had a single clue, and even less no one my age back then, i was still 18 in 91.
The Innuendo album had just came out months before.
I only saw the Days Of Our Lives video a couple of years after he died. He didn't looked that sick or different in earlier videos.
So yes, absolute shock.
At some point you might want to check out Queen at Live Aid.
The full set, all 20 some odd minutes.
Read the lyrics. This performance always makes me cry. You can tell Freddie wrote this song because he pours his entire soul to it. He directly talks to God about why he's so lonely with nobody to love. RIP A LEGEND
Boehemem raposidy is must for all queen enthusiasts
The whole of this concert went up on Disney+ last week, one of the greatest performances I've ever seen from a band.
this is kind of their halfway point as a band. they had been a band for about 10 years here, and freddie died 10 years almost to the day after this. this is their prime.
First of all you are completely beautiful and I like the way you narrate things
I cannot believe the people love rap the not the all they do is degrade women and money money money money, I guess if you grab your f****** pants enough your pants enough you fit in is a musical no talent
Seeing your reaction is almost as good as Freddie singing a great, timeless song. It's really great seeing someone discover Freddie and Queen.
I turned 60 this past December , I have seen a ton of band in my life , live ...... no other band /lead singer comes close to Freddie and Queen ....G.O.A.T..
Queen happens to be a band that's greater than the sum of their parts....and their parts are pretty darn good!! 🔥
I'm so glad that this was my music growing up. Freddie was a one of a kind. He was the perfect frontman. His charisma was if the charts.
I truly believe that Freddie Mercury was the absolute best Front Man and vocalist, singer and performer of all time. A sad day when Freddie passed but Queens music is timeless and will be enjoyed for many generations to come. RIP Freddie Mercury.
Totally agree 👍
You Sir are correct
The best live band ever , keep the queen reactions coming, there are so many more to come and you will love them.
They were a rare talent.
I grew up in the 70's and your reaction has me living this performance as if it was new again. I see so much more through your eyes that I had actually missed before. Thank you
I love your sensitivity when you hear their songs. They were a really great live band. Thanks
4:50 He is not looking for somebody to love him, he is looking for somebody for him to love. It is a man's love song, we aren't yearning to be loved, but to give love.
Now imagine growing up with that kind of music, then seeing what (most) music is like today...
And it's not that all music these days is crap (far from it) or that there was a shortage of such back then, but at least they promoted some of the good stuff in MSM back then.
Thank you for let us see your reaction to this masterpiece! We need even more Queen! Full concert at ''Live Aid 1985'' is a great next pick!
Queen the best band ever ❤️❤️ Freddie Mercury absolutely one of a kind . Love you Freddie RIP ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Freddie was the best frontman any band ever could wish for. I had the good fortune to see Queen live twice with Freddie (1982 and 1986). The 1982 concert was from the same tour as this performance. Magical evening.
