- Just a quickie.
I was given this key safe but no combination. I knew it was a 5 pin safe and only 10 digits to chose from.
I don’t mention in the video but the numbers can be entered in any order.
Just to update - the numbers can be entered in any order so you don’t have to worry about that.
I asked Open AI how that reduces the probability of a random sequence opening the key safe. Answer, instead of 1 in 10,000 it is 1 in 210 for a 4 number sequence and 1 in 252 for a 5 number sequence. .
Thank you. had this thing on for 5 years. Watched your video cracked it in 5 mins 👏
Fantastic news. Thank you Damo, glad it helped.
i just used this to remove the unsightly thing from my new home. Had it open in 30 seconds... cheers.
Thankyou it worked
Don't know why I'm just not able...
Tried different ways still no!
Mines attached to doorframe.. Keygarde one ...really annoying. Cant afford another
@@loveispatientloveiskind2205 if it’s a different make/model to the one shown in the video it may not respond accordingly to the manipulation.
Might be time to call that locksmith?
Im trying one of these soon on my parents new to them house, they dont want the wall damaged in removing it but worried theres a key in there. Looking forward to the challenge of opening it.
Let me know how you get on 👍🏻
@@jackleg693 couldn’t get the bastard open. I gradually varied the downward pressure as i tested the button resistance. Cold finger tips doesnt help though.
@@gravey07 don’t feel bad about it. Practice makes perfect - if you can, keep at it. 👍🏻👍🏻
Tried it lots
Still cannot do it...
It's been there for over 10 years
@@loveispatientloveiskind2205 are you resetting the lock after each attempt?
Getting the “feel” of the latch moving can take a while to dial in.
Keep at it.
Or alternatively you may need to go destructive.
Or possibly ask a locksmith to quote for the job?
The one outside my house gives no movement on the open level, no matter which number I press.... guess I won't be able to remove this unsightly thing 😭
The movement is very subtle.
Or it may be a different model?
Maybe a squirt of WD-40 to lose. Things up inside?
@@jackleg693I even tried that.. must be a weird kinda subtle.
They either all go down easily...or they all resist, except a few... tried many different combinations of that... am I supposed to reset it each time ?
@@loveispatientloveiskind2205yes. After every combination attempt the lock needs reset with the latch.
Note: it doesn’t matter what order the numbers are entered so 1,2,3,4 is the same combination as 4,3,2,1. Hope that makes sense.
Doesn't have to be the same order
My mum's got one of these but can't get I to it. The number 8 key doesn't feel like its doing anything when we press it. The code was 7832 but it's not opening. I don't think anyone changed the code so I'm thing 8 is broken. Any idea hiw to check or how to open it now 8 is not working!?
Try the method in the video. Pretend the combination has been changed and you’re looking for it.
If it yields a new combo you win.
If not and the number 8 is damaged (not sure how that could have happened?) then sadly you’ll have to brute force it off. 😢
What would you recommend for someone vulnerable living alone with no relatives who medical services might need access to save smashing windows etc? She doesnt want to leave a key with neighbours
The police.
Or use a key safe.
@@jackleg693thanks for replying. how can the police help and what type of keysafe please?
@@zerostalkertolerance I live in a rural part of the UK and my local police force were very accommodating. But I appreciate others might not be. I would guess the first port of call would be to email your local PCSO? But I won’t lie, chances are a lot of constabulary probably won’t care or have the money/resources to offer a key holding service.
In the scenario you mention a key safe is a good idea (not like they get used in all the fully furnished holiday cottages around me!)
Personally I’d recommend a supra p500 or p800 but check with the house insurance company as they might have an opinion that affects the insurance.
Thanks for watching. I appreciate your comments.
@@jackleg693 thank you for your kind reply and information 👍
@@jackleg693 What is one of the strongest key safe boxes (and if possible one of the smallest) you would recommend?
Is there such a thing as a "good key safe" that a criminal can't open way less than it takes to install? Thank you for masking your method, unlike an American guy who demonstrated how to crack the keysafe using his special tool...which he sells, most likely to criminals. Unbelievable! Sure it may make Master Lock review their product, but so will you, only you're not coaching house-breakers.
Thank you. I appreciate the kind words.
Demos can be mis-construed as instruction but anyone adopting the use of these things should be aware of their failings.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Helping burglars world wide good work
I know most burglars aren't blessed with the intelligence of roadkill, but these things are so easy to get into. If they have the nous to watch a youtube video, they probably know already how to get past a simple code lock...... Most of these things are total junk. Might as well put the key under the mat.
You don't think burglars know how to do this?
@@michaelmiller6593 nice logic
😂😂😂, bulshet
so you got 2 5 6 9 0, but how you know what order they go in , it could have been 9 5 6 0 2 or something like that. im not convinced 👎
Yeah. Sorry I didn’t explain that the numbers can be entered in any order.
