Best thing about the halo scythe weapon art is when you cast it, the halo sits in the air for a second before shooting forward. HOWEVER, it seems like most enemies who have AI to dodge ranged attacks do their dodge when you cast, and don’t account for the delay. So they dodge as soon as you cast, but it doesn’t fire until a short while later, and hits almost every time as a result.
I would add: Eclipse Crest Greatshield One of the BEST defence-to-weight ratio shields in the game. 15wt, 72+mag def, 67+ Guardboost, un-upgraded. Also has +50 passive boost to Immunity, Robustness and Focus. Can be farmed from the knight in front of Black Knife Catacombs (in Liurnia)
There's an easier, less risky route to farm the Magma Blade. Instead of the stone elevator, go out the door on the left (if you are facing the front of the temple) and there's a wooden elevator there which you can activate. It is the same wooden elevator you use to get to Rya's secret location. That elevator basically lets you bypass the magma pools etc and you just have to walk back to farm the same serpent in this video and then to the other direction to farm an additional 2 serpents which have a chance to drop the blade. IMPORTANT: Be careful when coming out of the wooden elevator as there is an Albinauric hiding in the dark which will attack you.
I was about to type this game message. It is much faster AND much less risky than running on the lava path and passing an abductor virgin (that can reach you on the bridge with its attacks).
WarHawks talon is underrated. I run two with lightning scaling as a 80 faith / 40 dex, straight lightning build. Beautiful thing about the talons, they get a special R2 attack that has 4 swings if you charge the second part which acts like it’s own ash of war. Which I either pair with BHS or blade dance to combo with the R2 swings. The R2 swings can bait people into them, or you can use it to trade vs great sword / high poise build if you’re opponent is low hp and you can withstand the trade.
I have it and love it! To be honest it definitely feels more like a sharp sword shaped hammer than a sword. Also it swings a bit slower than regular swords but much faster than you’d probably expect. All around and incredible weapon that’s taken me deep into endgame territory

If you pay close attention when using the Celebrants Sickle, while there is a bit of a bug in displaying incoming runes, the actual amount of runes you have appears to have no such delay. So every hit does appear to provide 10 runes per hit despite the +X not showing the values properly. Dualweilding daggers rapidly lands a lot of hits (racking up those bonus runes) and applies status very quickly. 2 celebrants sickle with bleed on both is pretty decent damage wise against enemies susceptible to bleed. While I know many will say that late game there are better means of grinding out exp more quickly, these are a fun way to supplement your income earlier in the game or when simply grinding enemies in an area for drops (imho). Then again, I'm not the sort who enjoys passively mass nuking enemies when I farm stuff. Takes all the engagement out of the process. For higher chance to drop these rare items (including the other drop armor sets if u like to collect cool things like me), find and equip these items: 1. Have considerably high arcane stats (30+ is nice, 50+ would be great) 2. Silver tear mask --> dropped by the mimic tear boss in Nocron underground city 3. Silver scarab talisman --> hidden behind an invisible room after u jump drop to an invinsible bridge in the Giants' Mountaintops Catacomb 4. Marica's scarseal 5. Craft and consume Silver Pickled Fowl Foot everytime before killing the enemies who might have it. With these setup I got close to 300 points drop chance stats (max is 324 pts). And the hardest item to drop from the video's list was the Halo's Sycthe. I had to 5x rest and retry farming in the Swamp's grace.
@@DeinosCZ everyone says there’s 2 in lyndel. I just farmed 2 of the sword after a couple hours in lyndel farming the one right before the lift. If there is a second no clue where. I was killing the one by two perfumers
The beastman's cleaver is best farmed from the enemy that is closest to the elevator, with Radahn's swords' AoW you can kill the enemy on the other side of the wall of the elevator room, much faster than going to those 2 mentioned here. It took me around 80 kills to get 2 drops
Duuuude, the other day, I used the belfrie that sends you to farum azula, and killed one of the 2 beastmen below, and got a cleaver. Lol, I wasn't even farming it. Good stuff.
For the farum azula beastman farm dont worry about resetting the lift, warp back, pull the lever and immediately sit at the grac, this will complete the lift animation faster. I started doing this simply because i kept forgetting to send the lift back up and losing time to that orfalli g in the hole
You can get the beastmans cleaver if you take the teleporter at the four belfries to Farum as you encounter a mob there that drops it, there is a rock you can snipe it from for lower levels so you can get it really early.
I have several copies of both the Beastman's Cleaver and the Curved Sword and until watching this video I had no idea where I had got them. Guess I got lucky completely by accident. Maybe it's time to make a build around them.
@@qthequick I got the curved sword by complete chance, but the curved great sword? Spent days farming for it nonstop, it just won't drop. My chances look fairly slim as well considering my arcane (luck) is 7, the lowest it can be.
Little tip on farming the beast man’s cleaver. There is also another beast man with that weapon if you just take a right turn in the building after the elevator. I would recommend using the creeps talisman as there are some pretty annoying lightning beastmen nearby
The magma blade is also nice because all curved swords have a cool charged attack cancel backflip mechanic. Just hit back step (O on PS) while charging up a strong attack & you'll backflip attack. Plus the dual wield attack for the curved swords is quite OP.
I didn't know the Thorned Whip wasn't an automatic drop. I got it the first time I encountered that Fire Prelate, and thought it was supposed to drop, like the hammer when you find the Prelate in Fort Laiedd.
For the curious, there IS a Blackflame Monk at the bottom of the Caelid rune tower that has one of those curved greatswords, but after about an hour of farming him I had zero drops (meanwhile I had four-ish complete sets of the Blackflame armor). Comparatively, the monk in this video dropped a sword after maybe three attempts, and my Arcane was only 15 or so.
If you’re endgame or ng+ and have a surplus of larval tears and want to farm some difficult weapons it can be worth considering respec to 99 arcane to help with these some of these are really fkn rare and it can save a hell of a lot of time.
I've been maining the halo scythe in my newest save file ever since I found it in Caelid. So, so worth it. Great scaling, and the rings of light ash of war does solid damage if you build faith
Instead of the Beastman’s Curved Sword, if you want one that’s slightly better, I’d recommend farming the Bandit’s Curved Sword. It does more damage and I think it has slightly better reach. Also, you can get it very early on. It can be farmed off Skeleton enemies that use it. One of them spawns right next to the Church of Pilgrimage in Northern Weeping Peninsula.
Thank you for showcasing actual rare weapons, there are other UA-camrs out there clickbaiting the crap out of people with weapons that most people have already found.
I dual wielded Warhawk swords, on with occult, one with frost and so much fun was had. Not the best weapons numbers wise but man are they beautiful to look at.
i am surprized no one mentioned the big bubble blower not the normal-sized bubble horns, not the long bubble horns, but the BIG BUBBLE TRUMPETS the most difficult drop to farm imo
I specced into Arcane to get 2 beastman's curved swords and they dropped nearly instantly. Use your larval tears. The game gives you so many for a reason
RNG at the end of the day, instead of wasting larvel tears just use item discovery things. With the tali and foot buff i got mine in one room clear by the first grace site.
I remember getting lucky enough to have one of the warhawks drop their talonblades very early on but selling it because it did less damage than my broadsword. RIP.
it's really hard to get. I think there's only 3 possible enemies that drop it and at least 2 of them are in the Haligtree, which is the most difficult area in the game.
They are rare but other greatswords like claymore ,ordovis or banished knight sword do a lot more damage with the same build, still the best for fashion souls
These lists are always so funny because with some of them I’ve spent hours trying before giving up and with others I’m sick of picking them up. I picked up 5 of the beastmans curved swords in my last playthrough but can’t for the life of me get the cleaver. Same story with the warhawks talons, getting the drop almost every time I kill the ones in stormveil
Dearest Mister Arekkz. Regarding the Celebrant's Sickle: Firstly, thankyou for fuelling my OCD compulsion to collect every possible item. Secondly, after a tiny bit of testing, there is not a limit on the little rune gain passive proc, nor is there any downtime between procs. The confusion likely comes from the little "+10" that appears above your rune count when you first strike something, which has to fade away before another "+10" can pop up, BUT every hit between those still gives you another +10 runes. Eg: get 4 quick hits on something. The counter will only show "+10", but your rune count will go up by 40. Only question now; do you leave it without upgrades, get a second one for powerstance, and shave every last possible rune from every enemy you come across...? x Edit: Found a Celebrant's Cleaver too (axe category). Has the same rune gain passive :) Edit 2: After a bit of farming. Got 2 sickles, 4 cleavers, and just now got a "Celebrant's Rib-Rake" spear. Same passive again :) What a nice little themed group of rune-harvesting weapons!
@@Key2Dest1ny grave scythe can be customized tho. To name a few amazing things you can add: sword dance or double slash with a cold infusion (still has bleed so you apply both statuses)/flaming strike with flame art infusion/ Black flame tornado/loretta slash/thunderbolt/bloodhound step
The monks flame blade can be farmed in the tower of caelid, the same location to farm the black flame monk set. The sight of grace is literally right there and it's a fairly s all area so no chasing required. Got 2 of them while farming the black flame set.. didn't know they were rare. Thanks for the video!
The Halo Scythe is SO GOOD. Especially if you really like the scythe move set. The ability takes just a bit of getting used to, in order to ensure the rings are hitting targets and not the ground or a wall, but it's so so nice when it works. It's incredible how early in the game you can get it as well, I got it at the beginning of my Confessor playthrough and kept it with me to the end of the game. Another farming spot for it is on the western side of the swamp. There's one lone knight sleeping under the rot near the Teardrop Scarab that you can stagger down and farm until they drop it. Only the one chance but it's not far from Grace and you don't have to worry about getting overwhelmed.
You don't actually need the halo scythe to use the miquellas rings, there's a scarab by aeonia swamp that gives you the ability as an AoW. Then you can apply it to any scythe you want
Don’t fast-travel back after farming runs, work the site of grace into your route. Fast-traveling cancels your consumable boosters, wasting them. But resting to reset does not, that’s safe.
I finally got every weapon on the list, it took 5ever for me to get the sickle in windmill village, i ended up getting all the other ladies weapons first lmao The magma blade was frustrating too, but strangely i got the final two weapons both on the second attempt lol and luckily i already had the halo scythe 😇
For the first tip there's an easier way to get there from the church. Just use the lift on the north hand side ride it all the way up to the big dark room then go to the right and the man-serpant is right there. You have to fight or run past one enemy to get there. Better than running around through magma
If you're a strength build, the Watchdogs Greatsword is a very powerful weapon that can get S scaling in strength that you can farm for and add to your arsenal. You can get it in the same dungeon as as the Fire Monks curved greatsword.
Would like to add there's the noble's slender sword(longsword) has an absurdly low drop(seen people say around .5% chance) from the nobles mob that can be found wielding it in limgrave or raya lucaria after the parlor/ before rennala. Has very low stat requirements and it's the longest longsword in the game it takes ashes pretty well all around for almost any build type.
Got one completely by accident, has E-str and A-dex with a keen build, and yeah, longest straight sword in game, was actually really good to use for both pve and pvp (if unexciting to look at)
About the beastman’s cleaver: you can get it way earlier in Liurnia at the three belfry. You take the teleporter that sends you to the small island near Farum Azula and one of the two beastman enemy can drop the cleaver.
for the beastman cleaver there is a better place to farm it. If you go to the site of grace beside the bridge and go down the lift, he is right there, so no need to run really far
8:05 that isn’t the last window, there’s an illusory wall at the end of the hall past the first monk that lets you jump down even further down past the shadowed fanged imps
There is also a flame monk (a white one, with the sword) at the Divine tower of Calid, get to the bottom and you have a grace on top of a staircase there and on the bottom there is a monk, takes about 3 seconds between the grace and the monk.
I must be incredibly lucky.. a lot of these weapons mentioned (In all these series overall) I've had on accident already. And just now, it took me 4 or 5 attempts for the thorn whip and 2 attempts for the Monk's Flameblade. Unreal.
Got em yesterday. I was around that time frame as well .306 kills in total , 139 discovery. Was fucking brutal. But worth it. Absolutely melts fuckers.
Beast cleaver is one of my favorites, but O M G it took forever to get. rebirthed and put 90 arcane for discovery, silver tear mask, silver scarab, AND silver fowl foot

I spent about 6 hours off and on farming for the beastman's cleaver from that crumbling farum azula island that you access from the Four Belfries because I wanted it early. So many fire balls
The death poker. You get it by fighting the death rite bird in caelid. It's a boss you fight during night. Very powerful weapon! The eastern side of Caelid.
maaaan, the talon blade took about an hour and a half. luckily the celebrants cleaver took only 15 minutes. Beast cleaver i got on the 4th try. everything else i already had. Thanks for this video bro
I think it's easier to just take the lift down from church of eigley, once down, kill the thing on the left, then from there go out the door to the first lizard, come back in and attack the one in the hallway, he patrols it and normally if timed is near the lift side once you kill the other one and return
faster route for magma blade is the lift shortcut outside the Temple of Eiglay, takes you right to the snake, then run back and hit the lift button and fast travel back to the site of grace if the sword doesnt drop
Much easier and faster to farm the Monk’s Flameblade from the Divine Tower of Caelid: Basement site of grace. There is a monk that can drop it not even 5 seconds down the stairs from the grace point
A better place to farm Beastman's Cleaver is at the "Beside the Great Bridge" site of grace. Once there, take elevator down, and turn right and there will be a Beastman standing there with the cleaver waiting to be farmed. Be careful how you kill him because you can pull the other beastman in the other room who will cast red lightning. I used arrows (just keep shooting mighty shot from top of stairs) and this didn't aggro the other beastman. I was able to farm 2 cleavers in about 45mins.
There are actually 4 of those Stormhawks in that area. If you continue forward past the stairs to the right, there will be a bunch of barrels & boxes. If you break them, another Stormhawk will come out of hiding to the left to drop a bomb barrel on you
I'm using offhand beastman's curved + Seppuku/blood. Has B scaling for STR. Then using SERPENT-GOD'S CURVED SWORD in main hand with Flames of Redmane/Heavy for A Scaling Str. Jump attack l2, roll back redmanesx2 for knockdown and then just finish them off with jumping l2's. It's easy mode. Gear is typical blood loss equipment.
I've not used the celebrants sickle because it's a knife and they're not the greatest normally... But this one is curved which means it's attacks pass through guard making this actually a lot better than I thought, on top of the little extra bit or runes I may build a dagger build around these...
The Magma Blade took me forever - about 2.5 hours. RNG was not on my side even with all of the +item find. First off, read the comments. Way easier to go left and then up the wooden lift if you have it unlocked. Take the extra second to send it back down so when you reset you don't have to pull the lever every time. I ended up with 10 shields, way too many volcanic stones and 1 sword.
I got lucky and managed to farm the 2 Halo Scythes, the full Clean Rot Armor set, and the straight sword as well. All in about 20 minutes with a new lvl 15 character
I got the Beast Cleaver from the beastman in one of the Belfry areas on my first try. I probably got crazy lucky, but maybe they have a higher drop rate?
the beastman cleaver is a nice power stance weapon and insane scaling dmg with any ash tbh , i run that weapon and man , not only good damage but i feel like that thing gives plenty of poise when hitting

You can get the beastmans cleaver if you take the teleporter at the four belfries to Farum as you encounter a mob there that drops it, there is a rock you can snipe it from for lower levels so you can get it really early.
is that a 100% drop?
@@mitzukirigaya3180 unsure, it dropped for me on my first kill and others have reported the same, so could be?
@@mattyz444 Killed him a few times. Didnt Drop at all for me. So its safe to say its just a normal drop of him
Guardian sword spear is an amazing dex pve and pvp weapon - a scaling. Cool in power stance too
It’s one of my favs
You can also get the celebrant”s cleaver in Dominula which has the same effect as the sickle
I have several copies of both the Beastman's Cleaver and the Curved Sword and until watching this video I had no idea where I had got them. Guess I got lucky completely by accident. Maybe it's time to make a build around them.
Their drop rate is pretty good
I died so many times in Azula, while killing them the weapon always dropped
@@qthequick I got the curved sword by complete chance, but the curved great sword? Spent days farming for it nonstop, it just won't drop. My chances look fairly slim as well considering my arcane (luck) is 7, the lowest it can be.
Same here. I was watching thinking they look cool wonder if I should farm them. then I checked my inventory and I have 8 of them already
@@milk_soap. yea that won’t do at all 😂 my arcane is 65 so even the toughest drops only take a few hours
Same here farmed the tower for an hour or so and no weapon with 200+ arcane
The monk in the tower only drops the armour
I love his armor.
My boy I farmed that guy for so long I came to the same conclusion
Bro I was farming that guy to for like a 1hr + and on another day I try and nothing this the armor.
If you’re endgame or ng+ and have a surplus of larval tears and want to farm some difficult weapons it can be worth considering respec to 99 arcane to help with these some of these are really fkn rare and it can save a hell of a lot of time.
Yep, you get 15 respecs per NG cycle so it's a good idea
I've been maining the halo scythe in my newest save file ever since I found it in Caelid. So, so worth it. Great scaling, and the rings of light ash of war does solid damage if you build faith
Thanks for the info! Im running a faith build character, i could use those!
Yes but they look lame
i appreciate the various outfits for each weapon demonstration
Thank you for showcasing actual rare weapons, there are other UA-camrs out there clickbaiting the crap out of people with weapons that most people have already found.
I dual wielded Warhawk swords, on with occult, one with frost and so much fun was had. Not the best weapons numbers wise but man are they beautiful to look at.
Bloodstained Dagger is a niche dagger that scales mostly off strength. I think it's nice for a STR blood loss build that uses the dagger for parrying.
I keep it on hand just for bloodhound step, but made it +24 and it slaps
@@countof3everybodyOD that is a good idea. I just find people don't expect the dagger parry
For the monk’s flameblade, you could farm for it in the divine tower of caelid basement, it’s way faster and much less of a walk
i am surprized no one mentioned the big bubble blower
not the normal-sized bubble horns, not the long bubble horns, but the BIG BUBBLE TRUMPETS
the most difficult drop to farm imo
8:03 you as you take the right, roll on the wall. There is a hidden passage there by which you can totally pass the watch dogs and imps.
@@zmman9243 18 tesrs in a playthrough. But in the end unless your on pc and using save files for different specs then you will run out eventually.
The forked greatsword Is actually a rare drop too, btw can be dropped by the imps using the weapon itself like at the Road's End Catacomb.
Me with 30 of them confused
I remember getting lucky enough to have one of the warhawks drop their talonblades very early on but selling it because it did less damage than my broadsword. RIP.
I'm Surprised you didn't mention the iron greatsword. Beastly weapon that absolutely slaps hard.
it's really hard to get.
I got 2 beatmans clevers so easy but the sickle took me like a hour straight just to get 1and that rib rake
Warhawk's Talon is good for bleed, because R2 slashes twice instead of the normal heavy attack
Only question now; do you leave it without upgrades, get a second one for powerstance, and shave every last possible rune from every enemy you come across...? x
Edit: Found a Celebrant's Cleaver too (axe category). Has the same rune gain passive :)
Edit 2: After a bit of farming. Got 2 sickles, 4 cleavers, and just now got a "Celebrant's Rib-Rake" spear. Same passive again :) What a nice little themed group of rune-harvesting weapons!
I've got em all, took a while to collect all the weapons. 250 melee weapons alone is just crazy.
The graveyard scythe is amazingly underrated … by far the best scythe and no one talks about it
Graveyard scythe is nice but Halo scythe is simply better because the weapon art is so strong (in pve atleast)
I got my Halo Scythe first kill. I went there at level 21. Im now level 90 and haven't stopped using it. love this weapon.
you can farm the monk's flameblade much easier at the bottom of caelid tower. its right next to a grace, and its reachable right from the start.
The monks flame blade can be farmed in the tower of caelid, the same location to farm the black flame monk set. The sight of grace is literally right there and it's a fairly s all area so no chasing required. Got 2 of them while farming the black flame set.. didn't know they were rare. Thanks for the video!
Inside the tower?
@@azerria3416 The AoW isn't as good as the Halo scythe's version.
@@LJFebruary why? I haven't really tested them that much so I don't know
8:04 thats a hidden wall next to the window he jumps out of. can be helpful to open up to jump further ahead and have much less risk
Warhawk Talons are obscenly powerful. I powerstanced them and it made the game so easy. Aesthetically they're gorgeous as well.
The oracle greathorn or whatever it is called to me seems pretty rare as in I haven't seen many using it
Would like to add there's the noble's slender sword(longsword) has an absurdly low drop(seen people say around .5% chance) from the nobles mob that can be found wielding it in limgrave or raya lucaria after the parlor/ before rennala.
Has very low stat requirements and it's the longest longsword in the game it takes ashes pretty well all around for almost any build type.
also has an A scaling with a heavy infusion iirc, but that shit took me forever to farm lmao
You can’t farm him for this sword I believe
Got my armor off of him. I have the sword, not sure from him or another location.
I think he only drops his armor set. I was down there for hours, never once got his weapon
I must be incredibly lucky.. a lot of these weapons mentioned (In all these series overall) I've had on accident already. And just now, it took me 4 or 5 attempts for the thorn whip and 2 attempts for the Monk's Flameblade. Unreal.
I recently discovered a rare bow "Ak47" pretty cool rare weapon.
Duel Magma blades is absurd … took me about 6 hours in total to get two of them
Got em yesterday. I was around that time frame as well .306 kills in total , 139 discovery. Was fucking brutal. But worth it. Absolutely melts fuckers.
I somehow got 2 back to back after like 45 minutes
Beast cleaver is one of my favorites, but O M G it took forever to get. rebirthed and put 90 arcane for discovery, silver tear mask, silver scarab, AND silver fowl foot
Lol you gave the worst route for the magma blade. There literally an elevator you can take all the way up the where he is
Thank you, I was looking for this comment for a solid minute
How about you start making your own videos then.. wouldn’t be a bad idea

I spent about 6 hours off and on farming for the beastman's cleaver from that crumbling farum azula island that you access from the Four Belfries because I wanted it early. So many fire balls
what weapon were you using when showing how to get the magma blade? It looks interesting
The death poker. You get it by fighting the death rite bird in caelid. It's a boss you fight during night. Very powerful weapon! The eastern side of Caelid.
@@RPGeenius Eh got it wasn't too impressed it was a pain to get fighting the bird among the death snails.
maaaan, the talon blade took about an hour and a half. luckily the celebrants cleaver took only 15 minutes. Beast cleaver i got on the 4th try. everything else i already had. Thanks for this video bro
This was actually very helpful. Believe it or not i hadnt even seen 2 or 3 of these
Magma blade has one of the lowest drop rate. Make sure to have the scarab and the silver fowl foot. Also do it in spurts 20-30 minutes at a time.
seems like i was really lucky got it on my 3 try
There’s 4 in that location in stormveil castle. Last bird is up to just past the stairs. It kills itself when it sees you.
Just took me 5 tries with silver tear mask, silver scarab, and 2 arcane to get the Monk's Flameblade. Going for my second one now. I'm on NG+1
Arekkz the only person ive seen so far that really knows how powerful switchable ash style weapons can be
Much easier and faster to farm the Monk’s Flameblade from the Divine Tower of Caelid: Basement site of grace. There is a monk that can drop it not even 5 seconds down the stairs from the grace point
Is it better? im going to give it a go. but considering the fact I've gotten nothing but armor from this guy is amusing to me lol
It doesn't drop there fyi for anyone that's reading this comment. Another comment thread below confirms this . Stick to the route in this vid
Thank you for the 1st and 3rd weapon i have been working on fire builds and they really help
Thanks for the info wanted the monks flame blade was trying to farm it from inside the tower with the god skin mob . No dice.
If you break them, another Stormhawk will come out of hiding to the left to drop a bomb barrel on you
I am not commenting on whether they are good or not, but I can't help but love dual noble estocs... especially when you put bleed on them.
I’m glad I picked Arcane my first play through, I have 2 of all these items just sitting in storage because they drop so much.
If you want to get the beastman’s cleaver early, you can farm the Four Belfries waygate to Farum Azula and just jump off the edge afterwards to reset.
Interesting
I've not used the celebrants sickle because it's a knife and they're not the greatest normally... But this one is curved which means it's attacks pass through guard making this actually a lot better than I thought, on top of the little extra bit or runes I may build a dagger build around these...
the guardian sword spear is amazing.
You forgot the iron Great sword in lyndell that’s drop by those lion lizard beastmen
Grave scythe is pretty cool too
Just got my thorned whip. Thank you.
Got the halo scythe without even farming it, as my friend was telling me about it. Was pretty amusing seeing his rage
Thank you for pointing out these gems
