I refuse to kill Latenna, not only does she give you a super rare item, she also had enough brutality and suffering inflicted on her people at the hands of Sir Gideon Ofnir. I always do her quest every playthrough, it’s easy, you get a good reward and you fulfill her last wish, and her relationship with her wolf Lobo makes her an endearing and sympathetic character
I kinda agree. I mean, you carry Latenna all the way to the snowfields and she can't even bothered to tell her kin that I'm here to help them get to the haligtree. After suffering through the armor farming I was really agreeing with Gideon regarding the Albinaurics, those enemies made me so mad. BTW fun fact, if you summon Latenna near direwolf enemies (the ones albinaurics mount) she will actually ride them. Though it's pretty unreliable and is an oversight probably since she in combat shares the same AI as all the albinauric enemies.
Thanks prob easier. I got it from the grace he mentioned, turn around away from the ruins place...there's one on a wolf with another wolf beside. They patrol far away. I'm an arcane build but use frenzied burst from a distance, hit her twice ignoring the wolves. Mount and go pick up the blood clot and arrows because that's what she keeps dropping, lol, then back to the grace. As arcane build with 15 arcane, I use the faith tear and flame tear, buff with golden vow and flame grant me strength with the fire scorpion charm. I kill her 2 hits. She doesn't do anything, just stands there and takes it. So the time is just a few seconds of buffing in which actually gives her time to patrol closer within range
So a small benefit he didn't mention about the Noble's Slender Sword and the Noble's Estoc at 30:47 is that for their types of weapons (Straight swords and rapiers, respectively) they have the longest reach for both! A small bonus that is easily overloooked, but I felt it was worth mentioning!
@@hattsbygaming2861 Yeah only the Slender Sword has its respective longest reach, which makes it probably the best option to powerstance in my opinion

Tip for farming the clearot knights there in the swamp, if you use a heavy spear- so like the lance, when mounted you can attack them while they're still in the ground becasue the heavy spears sweep is long enough. This is good for lower level players, you can chunk off half their health before they stand all the way up. This is also good because sometimes the damn knights won't stand up at all or they take forever to trigger, so this way you can force them to get up and fight. You just learn where they're laying down, ride up to them and start smacking them.
I ended up doing something similar to this. Though not with a heavy spear as I rarely use them outside of... vyke's I think it was? And I usually don't have that when I farm them. Its a good tip though.

4:50 a tip for this is to equip the beast repellent torch on your back to drive away the wolves, equip yourself with the black knife chest piece you find here and a weapon with the assassin's gambit ash of war and use it. Backstab the first one then kill the others normally. All this will make the combat much smoother and takes about 10 to 40 seconds less per cycle depending on your strength

I just beat it for the first time at 250 hours on my first Character and I am dying to do NG+1 or get a new character as Samurai and powerstance the 2 Katanas you can get as early as Limgrave.
Katanas were my weap 100% when I was going through first time ^_^ loved using em so much, with some bosses tho I switched to great shield and heavy thrusting rapier, the blood one--kinda keen on trying that halo scythe lmao
@@danielcasas9244 I ran lordsworns greatsword (with lion's claw) and a brass shield for like 90% of the game and I was complimenting it with the black knife as early as the mountaintops of the giants. It was a fun build cause guard counters are so strong against field enemies and even some bosses. If I went into NG+1 I'd definitely try and incorporate more int or faith just to have more magic
Also I found using Starcaller's Call very good against the archers in the snowfields. You can sneak up and pull down the two just south-west of the grace if you drop down the ledge and hug the wall. You'll have cover from the far one and be able to deal with the archers one at a time while keeping them staggered. The wolves shouldn't be a problem and should die to the Call.
The monks flameblade was a nightmare for me. I ended up with 3 cleanrot spears just playing through Aeonia normally. It took hours to get that damn flameblade though. Then, I got a second one on the next run.
Cleanrot armor set is easiest farmed by respawning at the prayer room in Haligtree area. There is a cleanrot spear knight standing just outside the room. Use Wing of Astel just before you are outside the room and you hit it with 2 or 3 skill attacks, no time for cleanrot knight to respond. Rinse repeat and your armor set with cleanrot spear is yours in no time.
@@palladiamorsdeuswas about to comment this, you can also get the halo scythe and the clean rot spear there too. OP as hell faith weapons. Just takes a lot of time and patience lmao.
Early game safe farm is on Inner Aeonia grace, there is a lone knight patrolling outside the boss area you can easily fight him at low level with your wolf summons. Drops armor set, halo scythe and cleanrot sword.
Something really niche but cool is that the nox headpiece when altered will allow the black knife hoof to be up when worn instead of down. The same is also true of the astrologers hood, which can definitely make some really cool fits
Not bragging, just very proud of this, I farmed every weapon and armor set in the game my first playthrough, not counting the ones you get from mausoleums, or boss items you have to choose from, I'll get the rest on another playthrough, the wolf archers were the absolute worst to farm. Also the little gargoyles in the crypts, their masks are really hard to get, I guess most everything is.
No duelist armor/weapons? There’s only two of them in Lyndell, and their armor has shibriri’s aggro drawing effect, one drops a battle hammer and the other drops an axe that only those enemies can drop. And the area is destroyed by progressing the game. Pretty rare. And of course, the colossal envoy horn. The most notoriously annoying weapon to farm ever because of the ants and how OP they are when shooting the bubbles at you
I have a different strategy for farming the unaltered Banished Knight chestpiece. It involves baiting the halberd knight to teleport to you with an arrow and then abusing Magic Glintblade (or other slow/delayed spells) to kill him. This does require going into spellcasting, but two Larval Tears are all that requires. However a funny thing happened on my second playthrough with the Banished Knight Set, I got SUPER lucky with it as I got it on my second kill, I didn't think much of it at the time, but when farming for a second Banished Knight's Shield, I got either the gauntlets or leggings (don't remember which), however this was MY FIRST TIME getting that piece of armor on this character (so instead of just the small pop-up in the corner there was also the bigger pop-up at the bottom of the screen when you obtain a drop for the first time). So I somehow got the uber-rare chestpiece of this set that can only be found in a late-game area before the leggings which can be obtained in Stormviel, then again this guy was somewhat blessed because Malenia decided to take pity on me and not be the completely insufferable b**ch that she is who makes the Bed of Chaos look good. Just a single Waterfoul in phase 1 and very heavy use of the rot flower attack in phase 2. Radagon also wasn't a completely insufferable prick either on my successful kill.
The nightmaiden and swordstress armour sets are one of my favorites. Granted they don't have much competition since there's only a handful of female armours in the entire game.
blue silver mail armor set is pretty good. kinda painful to farm tho but a good alternative. farm it by ordina area by the snowfields. (4) albanaurics is pretty good odds.
An easier farm for the beastmans cleaver is using the belfry that goes to farum azula. I got it first time I went (I had like 20 arcane though), plus you can do a ranged battle.
So at the left hand side of the cliff base there at Dominion Plateau you can find a free celebrant weapon, the skull club. The ritual club of the celebrants. Also with the new DLC Greases you can use the festive grease on the Celebrant weapons to increase the souls gained on hit, plus it adds 100 flat holy damage to the weapon. Which helps since to be able to grease a weapon you can’t use any elemental infusion, only standard, keen, heavy, and quality.
*THANK YOU* for making this vid! 🙏 I've been planning a "rarest droprate items only" build/challenge run for a while now. So a vid like this is a huge help in helping me decide what to go after!
The best place to farm the Noble's Estoc is a cliff slightly South West of the Rampartside Path site of grace on the Altus Plateau. While there is only one guy who can drop it there you can literally see him from the site of grace. You can run over, gank him, then run back to the site of grace in less than a minute.
I learned so much about rarity, that the most important thing that came out of this was using Margot’s shackle to negate the flames in tombs. Holy crap that’s a game changer.
Oh damn.. I guess I got super lucky because I got the blackflame monk armor first try I guess… I assumed it was an automatic drop. Cool! I actually really like it and knowing that it’s rare makes it a bit cooler!
Watching this definitely reveals how much i grinded through my first playthrough- i got several of these sets randomly without knowing how rare they were, and i had 9 arcane 😂
You can get the bloom chest piece even when its in Ashen state. Just go outside Golden Boys Grace and there sits ONE on the tree (The only one)... He dropped it for me while I was casually killed him becuase he was in my way ( 05:35 ish)
There is also a masoluem foot soldier tabard, but it's only available in the consecrated snowfield. Plus the avianette helmet is easier to farm near Sellia-Under-Stairs, since you can use a ranged spell to kill the two perched above you without leaving the site of grace.
I got insanely lucky with the Monk's Flameblade AND the Watchdog's Sword when I got both on my first drop when running through the Giant Conqueror's Hero Grave and then I spent probably at least 7 hours trying to get the Magma blade from the 2 Volcano Manor man-serpents but I still haven't gotten them
For the guardian sword spear the best farm spot is in weeping peninsula. Three appear from the ground very close to tombsward catacombs entrance. Can do it very early game.
I just went through an all day Fire Curvesword grind when i got a cool idea: farm the Blackflame Monk equipment, the Fire sword AND the Magmawhip at the same time! Funny thing is, when i eventually got my 2nd flame curvesword, i had done piled up 4 set of Blackflame Monk armor legs hood and arms, lol. That Flamesword droprate is ABHORENT. And yes, i popped silver pickles, and wore silver bug tali.
9:20 - easiest place to farm those soldiers is right outside the church in weeping peninsula by the walking mausoleum. Dunno why you'd waste time running back and forth in the lake.
I just recently pucked up the Banished Knight Helm (Altered) in crumbling Farum Azula. Spend forever grinding for it at Dragon communion church, forgot about it and then found it when i wasn't looking for it. Kind of like how i find most rare gear in this game, by accident lol
i remember grinding for th mausuleum knight set once. i did the math by how much souls i was getting every time i killed it. i sat at a grace aournd 124 times. . _ . it was not a pleasent experience.
Managed to get the Banished Knight Helm (Altered) off of killing that guy in my current playthrough. Didn't realize it was a rare drop from only him. The fact that I got it with only 10 Arcane and no Discovery boost is a nice cherry on top.
Golden Scarab Talisman gives you 20% more runes from kills. This includes bosses. It doesn't give you anything per hit. The Celebrant's Skull greathammer gives 20 runes per hit. Celebrant's Rib-Rake is similar, but there is a cooldown that is about 2s between hits that can give you runes.
Killing Latenna? Blasphemy! She's my favorite spirit summon 😂Farming Ordina is super miserable, but I'd hate to run a whole playthrough without her (maybe I'd consider it on NG+, I just get too emotionally attached and feel too mean haha)
I completed everything in the main game for the second play through, before burning the Erdtree, really thought I had grabbed everything out of the Capital. Right as I got into the capital of ash I remembered the Full Bloom armor set and was so upset at myself hahaha.
idk if the drop rates have changed a bit since this came out but i just got 3 noble’s slender swords, fairly quickly after one another, two of which dropped back to back; the estoc however still remains a myth to this tarnished
Dang, I actually did get the halo scythe from a random cleanrot in caelid, after farming the cleanrot outside the haligtree prayer room for its armor, it was actually the weapon I used to kill the final deathrite bird(the one in snowfield)
After playing Elden Ring for a long time I downloaded a mod that makes enemies drop everything they have to drop and it was orgasmic lol a tear went down my eye remembering the dozens of hours farming to get an armor.
I didn't even know about the black dumpling. Thanks for that info cause now I know what else I need to farm for. And you can get the full bloom armor from any guardian but you have to beat em up but not finish them. They will bloom at low health
The altered banished knights armor set drops off the banished knights in stormveil castle, I farmed the one near the rampart tower site of grace, the spiral staircase down with a lift in the middle.
The blue silver guys to me were like literally mini bosses. I had to use the sacred sword to 2-3 shot them all. There always protected by wolves and the big wolf dodges like crazy lol. Gotta catch them off guard, sneak up on them.
For the Guardian Swordspear, the Guardians in Altus are pretty spread out and its late game. You can farm a solid group of them at the Minor Erdtree in Caelid, on the way toward the Bestial Sanctum. There's a Stake there as well so you can just farm about 5-7 of the guardians and then jump off the cliff.
An even earlier option is the Tombsward Catacombs in Weeping Peninsula. From the Site of Grace, turn around and run back out of the Catacombs. Go right around the pillar and there’s 3 of them right there near some Springhares.
One thing you failed to mention in regards to the Nobles Straight Sword; it is the LONGEST “Straight Sword” in the game I believe. (And it can be “Buffed” using greases and what not)
Ive watched this at least 15-20 times already!!I'm working on getting all of these. I have most of everything that isn't in the land of the giants and the volcano. That was just using silver fowl foot. If you have the scarab talisman and marais Mask. Wear those since they boost your arcane skill, which in turn increases discovery. It's an alternative if you don't have the silver scarab talisman yet.😊😊😊 Give it a shot.
I can’t believe I didn’t know that you could get the blue silver set. I’ve been obsessed with it for so long. I wish there were more feminine sets that have the armor aspect still. I love the armored corset thing, very late season Cersei Lannister lol
Are you afraid of the dark beats goosebumps hands down. The episode that sticks out to me is the kid who finds a creepy radio in the basement of his new house.
I’ve had this game since the day it came out and I play it all the time I mean I have beat it so many times I have every ending probably three or four times. If not more I do play it pretty often and I still to this day, do not have the largest version of that bubble weapon …the bubble blowing weapon.
Yes! That’s one that he definitely should have included in this video!! I haven’t gotten that one either yet, and I’ve got over like 850 hours played… (though, to be fair, I haven’t really tried “farming” for it at all)
Took 3 hours to do everything I hadn't done. It's actually a good feeling, to even farm something really marginal like the High Page or whatever and you see the word 'New' and it's exciting.
For Magma Blade, there was a place where you go down the stairs and there was few of them, i don't remember exact place, but i farmed 2 of them in quick succession.
I've done a LOT of farming in this game lol... after my first playthrough, I wanted to get 2 of EVERY weapon. Minus the torches and shields. And 2 copies of each armor and helm, that are alterable. So I have a normal one, and an altered one of every armor
tip for newcomers, the nightmaiden set has a different chest piece then the nox swordstress one he doesn’t clarify that and they look the exact same wouldn’t have known if i didnt get one while farming for the head crown
Another thing to note about the golden straight sword is that at max upgrade it has S dex scaling. Dont know about the thrust equivalent tho its probably the same
Banished knight altered armour & altered helm much more easily farmed from Rampart Tower in Stormveil Castle. I've get the whole set there, multiple playthroughs. Unaltered - yes, CFA or Sol, much harder.
so not sure if anyone else has pointed this out but the fire monk flame blake is also farmable from the grace in the bottom of caelid's dvine tower. there is a blackflame monk between the grace and a godskin fight,
Also, I totally agree about the Guardian Swordspear! The scaling is great, but, the move-set is truly OP. You have almost all of the OP "moves" all in one. POKE POKE RUN AND ROLL CATCH!
For magma blade u chose to show the long way there for the farm , u can actually activate an elevator and get there quicker using the same grace for the farm
The avianette helm is more easily farmed from the SoG below Sellia as with a ranged weapon you can target two of them without even moving from the grace.
The black-dumpling Albinurics are the creepiest enemies in the game in my opinion.

But there are like 6 in the lake of rot that you can farm
Or you can farm the four in Caelid around the center of the rot swamp. Much sooner, I might add
Drops armor set, halo scythe and cleanrot sword.
for the black fire monk set you can just go to the bottom of radhans tower, there's one right next to a grace
I always have fun farming for the octopus head. Put on Ween's "Ocean Man" to raise your discovery a little. Lolz
Do you have the black dumpling?
@@owadqoiiqwdip yes
I’ve gotten the marionette helm literally every play through and never even knew it was rare 😂😂😂 I get them literally ALLLL the time
No duelist armor/weapons?
The monks flame blade actually gets a B scaling in faith when using the flame art infusion. It’s one of very few weapons in the game that have that.
An easier farm for the beastmans cleaver is using the belfry that goes to farum azula. I got it first time I went (I had like 20 arcane though), plus you can do a ranged battle.
seems fire prelate would be ALOT easier if you were not trying to "Kill it with fire".
He was using the Full Bloom Guardian Garb, too. Y’know.. the armor that literally tells you that it makes you more vulnerable to fire attacks.
I've been planning a "rarest droprate items only" build/challenge run for a while now.
There is also one near Mistwood Outskirts grace, along with a noble straight sword carrying one.
I just found out about the tree Sentinel armor, it looks awesome and could be easily missed
Love it that the game gives you sooooo many things even from normal enemies.
You can find the celebrants skull which is found on the cliff side by the windmill Village on a corpse and it gives you 20 runes per hit.
Watching this definitely reveals how much i grinded through my first playthrough- i got several of these sets randomly without knowing how rare they were, and i had 9 arcane 😂
I got the black flame monk set very easy because it took me about 50+ tries to beat the godskin noble or whatever guarding the godslayers greatsword
21:29 dude really out here farming a fire prelate with a fire based weapon and wearing an armor set that makes you take more damage from fire 🥴
The full Clearot set and weapons were my companions for most of my first play. I needed the visual and the weapons for my faith build
I can confirm the banished knights in Farum dtop the altered set
You can get the bloom chest piece even when its in Ashen state. Just go outside Golden Boys Grace and there sits ONE on the tree (The only one)...
He dropped it for me while I was casually killed him becuase he was in my way ( 05:35 ish)
There is also a masoluem foot soldier tabard, but it's only available in the consecrated snowfield.
Plus the avianette helmet is easier to farm near Sellia-Under-Stairs, since you can use a ranged spell to kill the two perched above you without leaving the site of grace.
I got insanely lucky with the Monk's Flameblade AND the Watchdog's Sword when I got both on my first drop when running through the Giant Conqueror's Hero Grave and then I spent probably at least 7 hours trying to get the Magma blade from the 2 Volcano Manor man-serpents but I still haven't gotten them
Yeah, I know it too 😂
I have the exact opposite occurrence lol
More love for the halo scythe is always appreciated. Spent two hours farming at level 20. THAT WAS SPICY.
Liked and subbed.
I'm on my NG+3 and had never had an octopus head before... Got 2 within minutes the other day 😂
9:20 - easiest place to farm those soldiers is right outside the church in weeping peninsula by the walking mausoleum. Dunno why you'd waste time running back and forth in the lake.
18:42 you can jump to the right off the roof onto a lower one skipping the birds all together. Just makes farming that much faster.
I dual weild +9 Halo Scythes now, and have always loved the Cleanrot armor I was able to get, but still haven't gotten the spear or chest piece
25:55 the golden scarab (and I believe gold foot) makes you earn more runes per hit. With the scarab you get 20 runes per hit
0:13 i love how malenia looks like she accidentally walked in front of a camera, noticed, and scurried off
The altered banished knights armor set drops off the banished knights in stormveil castle, I farmed the one near the rampart tower site of grace, the spiral staircase down with a lift in the middle.
I've got like 7 of those Ripple Cresent Halberds. I got them farming levels in NG+, preparing for the NG+ run I'm currently on.
The amount of patience you need to have to do all of this is outstanding 👏. Keep up the amazing work buddy.
the blackflame monk set takes FOREVER to grind, but is so good looking. Definitely a good pick for black flame builds
The unaltered Banished Knight set is my go too for my Paladin. It just looks TOO good.
Love the nightmaiden set, used the armor and he'd piece with the sorcerer's leg wraps and it's fire af
Watching these rare videos makes me feel lucky. I have a good amount of these items. And I’m still on my first game play through.
Night Maiden's torso pairs excellently with Banished Knight Helm (scarved) and Hoslow greaves.
Octopus Head is my favorite. It makes every cutscene funnier.
Got all the blades following this guide. Thank you very much! Amazing video.
Out of all these the noble's estoc took me the longest. During all my playthroughs I've only ever got 1.
I got the octopus helm from my first octopus kill... I had no idea it was that rare.
Unaltered - yes, CFA or Sol, much harder.
so not sure if anyone else has pointed this out but the fire monk flame blake is also farmable from the grace in the bottom of caelid's dvine tower. there is a blackflame monk between the grace and a godskin fight,
I've collected most of these items in my first playthrough but some of them I never seen in my life and I'm on journey 3.
You should have added a still of the stats for people to read and compare. Great video, though!
