One of my absolute favorite experiences in my gaming career (for lack of a better term) was basically doing this in a run of Fallout New Vegas, but with having a companion that could attack for me in place of spirit summons. I grabbed Cass as early as I could and just hauled her around with me everywhere, since she was a pretty high damage companion with her shotgun. It was crazy, and I had to get pretty creative with how I could handle situations where talking couldn't get you through the situation.
7:00 - Note: You can shoot near the bird twice, once will stop it's movement as it has been alerted, the second shot will "reveal" you as an enemy to it and it will still yeet itself off the edge. Missing it intentionally twice (but coming close) is arguably harder than hitting it once, however.
It would still be an „attack“ and thus not fit for a true pacifist …not like summoning a ghost-dog that gives your enemies mega-cancer is very pacifist either but who am I to judge
Fun side note from my playthrough, the Fire Giant can kill himself with his massive sky fire bombardment. I hid underneath him (melee player) when he did it, and it all hit him instead and KO'd him in one burst.
The Bewitching Branch only does dmg if youre too close and actually hit the enemy with it , but for the branch to work you dont actually need to hit the target , the target only needs to be in the cloud that spawns from the branch. So pretty similar to that Pot you have been avoiding. Also Sleep Pots work the same , maybe everything that casts a cloud works this way.
And this is why a "Summoner" class would be an amazing idea, Restrict the Use of Bows and Swords for the class but increase slightly for summoning stats or whatever, I'd love it.
I like how the Pacifist and Let Me Solo Her are the yin and yang of Elden Ring. Pacifist has everything but violence, Let Me Solo Her has nothing but violence. This brings me joy, as how both legends' paths intertwine and they can figuratively nod at each other from the distance of their differences.
Damn, this looked like a super fun run. Usually these challenge runs are in the "why would anyone do this to themself?" category but here it looked like a lot of interesting problem solving and learning. There is a lack of single player games where the main character can be a support character (for obvious reasons) so it's really cool that this build works. Kinda.
Fun fact! There's actually a second summoning spot you can use on the other side of the mountain in the Fire Giant fight! A really great summon to use is Latenna the Albinauric as the giant is too far away to attack you but with her insane attack range she can hit him! It's also faster than the Ancestral summon because she fires 3 shots of magic damage at a time. I know you skipped and then beat him but just so you know!
The fact that latenna doesnt waste time moving around makes her among the top 5 ashes just from that. Combined with her great damage from any range is just even better.
18:00 Something I found out by not being good at the game, the Bewitching Branch fires a cloud of pink smoke that also triggers the charm effect if an enemy walks into it. You can actually see that smoke at 18:04 if you look closely. I was trying to test the item on an imp and missed, but it ran back into the smoke, and it worked.
14:12 this strat might work with the 'Lantenna The Albinauric' summon, she stays wherever you summon her so no wandering off the cliff, and spams magic arrows with pretty high damage. idk though , i dont have the patience to try it
it works. tried 3 days ago. there is a cliff in his little arena. he will get stuck on it and won't be able to get down. lantenna can be placed far enough away where she doesn't get any flame damage. even after the giant loses his legs
Did not use Latenna for the FG but yes Latenna can be a big cheese against many world bosses and bosses with big arenas if you find a safe spot. I even managed to kill Placidusax only with them
There's an easier Farum warp. Fast travel to the Perfumer's Grotto, fast travel to the belfries and take the crumbling lands one, fast travel back to the Grotto, and quit to the title screen. On reload, you'll be at the start of Farum, no strict timing involved or anything.
You don't have to worry about using a specific setup. Just use the Belfry Farum entrance and then fast travel back to Roundtable Hold then Alt+F4 (quit to dashboard on console) during loading screen. Restart game. Done.
@@baldy117irl just quit out using the in-game menu after you've loaded into perfumer's grotto (in case you don't have PC for alt+f4). This also works for getting into nokron early from belfries
I think it's one thing alot of people aren't realising with this game you can make it as easy or hard as you want it to be. No need for difficulty options.
A fun little tidbit about the mimic tear summon. It uses your equipped consumables too, so you could technically have thrown those throwing pots on your mimc as another loophole to use the things you couldn't
@@CursedPR i dont think mimic can use the flasks, but i can say with 100% certainty that it can use consumables like uplifting and sparks aromatics. I have been abusing uplifting aromatic on a mimic for a free 1 hit damage negation + bonus damage
The mimic, at least pre patch, definitely has 1 healt potion. My mimic just kept chomping on exalted bloody flesh, I mean chowing down three times in a row. I've also seen it use thrown items now and then but none of it is consistent, seems best to put only one consumables in the bar
@@Mashamazzi Yeah lol. Originally I wasn't gonna do no hit and then I realized everything Lyndell and beyond will kill in one hit anyways, so might as well. It only made the early bosses take a couple extra tries.

There's a sorcery/incantation called 'Tibia's Summons' where you can spawn skeletons. I assume you could stack this with your spirits and also use them where you cannot normally summon. Would've been handy in some parts!
It's not actually a summon it's a projectile in the shape of angry skeletons. I looked at this for my own purposes. I also tried to see if Torrent can deal damage with dropping on things since he is not I, but alas he cannot.
well you summon 4 skeletons that attack at a certain spot and then despawn effectively its a summoned explosion but its also down by the four bony dudes so its borderline.
As a player that is doing a monk build i really suggest a 2nd weapon for ranged situation, there are moments where you may be in face of the enemy but will eventually miss trying to punching.
The Mimic Tear is still the best. Even after the damage nerf, you can use things like bleed, Black Flame, and even the Black Knife/Maliketh's weapon to do boss-hp scaling damage. Proving that the best ally if yourself.
It also has infinite consumables, so giving it a single Raw Meat Dumpling and Uplifting Aromatic will give it an infinite supply of them, and you can also have it wield just one weapon with Erdtree Heal so it heals itself more.
The Mimic Tear nerf was desperately needed. It's better to play now, since you have to put genuine consideration into how you want the mimic to play if you want it to perform on the level of other potent summons.

i hope in the next fromsoft game they add a summoner class / make summoning more integrated into the whole thing (everywhere having the ability to summon) because i love summoner classes in other games and i also love elden ring so that would be cool
It seems much simpler to just use an upgraded mimic tear with prayerful strike. The strike heals % hp and the mimic has your vigor + bonus from leveling it. So when it spams the weapon art it heals a ridiculous amount on its own.
@@coinisinorbit mimic is what was used for most of the endgame bosses in this video, and that exact prayerful strike build is what was used in the other pacifist video I saw Mimic isn’t useless, it’s just not nearly as good as before. @@sethescope That might be the case but don't forget that since his summon sign is In the arena you can wait and summon him for phase two and he doesn't increase the bosses health unlike other npc summons.
@@brokenlord3218 it's been a long day so I'm sorry if this seems dumb - but I'm not sure how that connects to what I was trying to say. maybe I didn't do a good job articulating what I was trying to say (very possible lol).

The Bewitching Branch only does dmg if youre too close and actually hit the enemy with it , but for the branch to work you dont actually need to hit the target , the target only needs to be in the cloud that spawns from the branch. Him: beats the game without attacking
Me who hasn’t even gone through my first play through
I used latenna on almost all my bosses, ever since I got her. She got insane dps
I think you need to kill the mob near Latenna to get her ashes? probably not hard to path them off a cliff in that area though
@@Maseiken Its a boss you have to fight to get to Latenna, but you can spirit summon for it so it wouldn't be an issue.
On my first playthrough she was how I beat that commander in aonia. Slapped her on a high root, triggered boss and ran around.
What made this video so cool is the creativity and originality, he took the most unexpected path possible for every boss fight.
18:00 Something I found out by not being good at the game, the Bewitching Branch fires a cloud of pink smoke that also triggers the charm effect if an enemy walks into it. The creativity and overall knowledge about the game shown here is really impressive.
14:12 this strat might work with the 'Lantenna The Albinauric' summon, she stays wherever you summon her so no wandering off the cliff, and spams magic arrows with pretty high damage. idk though , i dont have the patience to try it

The Mimic Tear is still the best. Even after the damage nerf, you can use things like bleed, Black Flame, and even the Black Knife/Maliketh's weapon to do boss-hp scaling damage. Proving that the best ally if yourself.
My bleed\stun build still workd perfectly.
Well, two heads are better than one.
It also has infinite consumables, so giving it a single Raw Meat Dumpling and Uplifting Aromatic will give it an infinite supply of them, and you can also have it wield just one weapon with Erdtree Heal so it heals itself more.
You should try the dung eater summon.
The Mimic Tear nerf was desperately needed. It's better to play now, since you have to put genuine consideration into how you want the mimic to play if you want it to perform on the level of other potent summons.

It seems much simpler to just use an upgraded mimic tear with prayerful strike. The strike heals % hp and the mimic has your vigor + bonus from leveling it. So when it spams the weapon art it heals a ridiculous amount on its own.
