40K what a milestone my friend! And again a great VLOG, a nice journey in our aquascaping world. Keep on scaping George! See you next week in Budapest! Can not wait to meet with you again :)
At the beginning of this video I really didn't think I'd like this tank, because it's such an odd shape. But oh my goodness, this is definitely in my top five favorite tanks that you've scaped!! It turned out wonderfully, and it is absolutely stunning. I really hope you do an update video on this later, because I'd love to see how it looks once it fills in. Great job, George! As for fish, I'd love to see a huge school of smaller fish in there, maybe serpae tetras, gold barbs, Odessa barbs or purple emperor tetras? Or a combination of a few different species? (Odessa barbs are my top pick.) This tank almost looks otherworldly to me, and I'm afraid putting any large fish in there would ruin that effect. Though I'm sure angelfish would be stunning in here as well!
@@milosmilosevic8848 you know, aquascaping is just trial and error. Right? We just have to try different positions and perspective until you're happy and contented with it ;)
I CANNOT WAIT to see the update on this tank once it grows out! About half way through the planting I started thinking what a beautiful tank for South American fish like Angels :) I would love to see some pearl scale marbles. The pearl scale on their round bodies would look amazing as they wander in and out of the shade. Also a shoal of both black and white skirt tetras. Though common and not the showiest of fish, they are incredibly fun to watch in a large tank with so many open-ended hiding places within vegetation. Yet another impressive aquascape. Please keep this great content coming George!
Definitely agree 👍. I bought a new tank and it's about 55cm in height from the top of the glass to the bottom. Im finding it really hard to imagine how I'd aquascape. I am wanting a natural look and like the setup in the video. I don't have much imagination so will be hard for me to scape it
Congrats on the 40,000 George! That tank looks quite amazing! --- A marriage of art and nature :) I cannot imagine how stunning it will look as it matures!
Yet another awesome tank.. can't tell ya how much I enjoy watching your creations. The product availability is wonderful in your area. After 19 years my tank sprung a leak, 2 repair attempts I gave up and bought new and watched hours of you tonight, it was like you were right here helping 👍🏻 keep um coming George!
Another tall tank fan! I have a 65t on my channel. You are right.. the right hardscape makes all the difference. Lucky to live in an area where I can collect manzanita.
Hi George, stunning tank. I have a tank just a tall. The choice of plants is helping me rethink my layout (scape) at the moment. Crypts grow well in the lower light. I wish I had your long arms! I nearly have climb into mine when reach the bottom. This video is very good. Please do more setups. Cheers
You Hit 40k! Congrats George! Love ya brother! Epic video as always man. You seem to get better and better so fast! One day I will be on that level too!
Lovely dimensions on that tank. It's similar to mine, but that looks taller - really like it! You got the pick of the bunch with that wood as well, amazing piece. I cannot wait until you revisit this one,. Again, the dimensions of the tank have struck a note with me. Wonderful work George.
Need to do more tall 'scapes. This one is gorgeous. It really is a challenge to scape a tall tank. I am still not happy with my 65 at all. Everyone else likes it but I don't - not yet. And you should do a Paludarium!
Really nice aquascape, fantastic piece of wood. You've created an interesting shaded area under the root that has good visibility from the front of the tank - would go with some fish that likes that and could disappear easily in a different layout. Could see a school of glass cats hanging out there during the day for example. Or elephant nose, black ghost knifefish perhaps..
Wow George What a great video you made Intressting and fun and learnable Thank you for sharing your knowledge it's always Intressting to watch thumbs up from your friend Mikael! 😊👍🌴🇸🇪
1- This aquascape is absolutely STUNNING! 2- The dimensions of the tank look original, great design that maintains the practicality. For the middle column, a nice school of Rummynose (not sure if they're big enough not to get eaten though) and tall bodied tetras of the Hyphessobrycon family. Keep on Scaping 🐟🌿
Scape is beautiful, I was thinking a lot more stem plants for a tall tank but I see you filled it in with structure so that you dont really have to do that. Thanks for teaching us your ways.
Its still hard to imagine how to aquascape. I bought a aqua one aquastyle 620T which is 62L x 39d x 72h (cm) so it does have some height to it. I bought a tall red moor wood piece which hopefully will take up the height and width of the tank. i also bought some mountain rocks to put along the wood. I got some natural looking sand which i hope suits the rocks and wood.
very beautiful with natural environment.. truely loved it and I'm looking forward if you can create a natural floating island.. it will be stunning with your great skill. lot of zen😍
Once again George you've done it! This tall tank with the bog wood makes it. Fish? Discus, discus or DISCUS. If not angels for sure. BTW love the outtakes, perhaps a compilation soon?
Great scape and very informative! It may sound strange.. but I love a large aquarium with tiny fish! I feel it makes the scape that much more of the focal point. Maybe Celestial Pearl Danios?
Glowlight Danio. The tanks got a lid, so that answers the jumping issue and they are active swimmers. They are also brightly coloured which you need with all the dark areas and black background.
Great scape George. Have a high tank at home been scratching my head on how to scape it. This has given me some great ideas. Always inspired by your content keep up the great work mate. Hope to meet you one day and buy you a beer lol. Have a great one.
rly nice like always George and i think angelfish would look stunning wtith that nice wood greetz from Belgium and we will c England in the worlld cup final to play a proper match and Keep On Scaping
thank you for the lovely video, ive got a vision 260 its quite tall 60cm and after a disease outbreak its needs a complete scrub down but this has giving me nice ideas i defo need those tweezers! (kitchen tongs dont work!) i think i would put few of my lyretail tortoiseshell swordtails in there, the orange and red would stand out great against the green and black, bamboo shrimp perhaps some bose, or feathered rainbows or maybe some cardinals ..
Sweet, I just ordered some Juncus from Buceplant.com and thought I would watch some aquascaping videos for some inspo and here you are gushing on the plant I just ordered! Excellent! I hear there's luck growing them low tech so I thought I'd give it a go. I didn't see the link to the workshop on my screen though. I'd like to see it. Great looking tank as always George!
George, do you do anything to your planting pincers when you are putting in the carpeting plants? Like are they bone dry or wet or whatever? Every time I place a plant in, it wants to come back out with the pincers stuck to them. lol. Any tips?
Great video George, I really love these VLOGs it feels like a very personal interaction. I think a large group of small schooling fish would really emphasize the scale of the tank. I also have a tank that is taller than wider and was wondering if you could recommend something that would help with circulation of the water, after seeing this video I'd really like to rescape it.
Congrats on 40K George! Love this aquascape. Angels would be perfect here. Hopefully, we get some updates on this layout. Also, love the outtakes! Your reactions made me Lol! I have a question, if you ever have time. If one is using a substrate with low initial nutrient content but high CEC, would "charging" it be a good idea. That is, soaking it in a solution of the fertilizer used in the tank before aquascaping with it? I might try this with some Eco Complete that I have and wondered whether you had any thoughts. Keep on scaping!
@@GeorgeFarmerStudiosthanks good to know i sourced a piece for a 5foot tank but i want biggerrrrrr that piece you used was beastly love it!! Tc and enjoy you're day..

Great peices of wood and cannot wait to get all bits and peices and get my aquascaper. I am going with all same type of plants, looking forward to update on this tank. Does the oase 600 thermo seem sufficent on 900 ?
Where did you procure those massive pieces of bogwood from? Did you get them from a local store and have them shipped? Must be quite a cost to ship such massive pieces of wood.
hi george i notice in some of your videos you reuse ur substrate, is there anyway u store the used the substrate before you rescape or do you dry it etc? thank in advance
That's a big topic. I'm trying to work it out myself, I just bought a 200L 1200mm tank and started to research plants. The more I look the more I realise how much I need to learn.

Fantastic! Love that dominant piece of bogwood!

One that I constantly need to have in my tanks ;)
Its quite big for my tank tho

I like tall tanks. They can be hard to scape, but when its scaped good it looks very cool. I think this tank will turn out great!
Awesome driftwood!!
Interesting scape. That piece of wood works well and keeps the eye moving up and around the tank. Also adds alot of texture which I like.
My favourite! Great inspiration! Thank you George! We love your taste!👏🏻

Soaking substrate in nutrients is a good idea if it has a good CEC. Ecocomplete does not, unfortunately..
