I just love this tank it's amazing If you don't mind can I know the all plants names you used In this tank I'm from India and im the first in my area to make a planted tank and I want to make another a professional type tank ♥️
I live in China (I’m Swedish) and after doing some research I realize there is so many cool things I can find here and it’s really low price. Thx again.
This scape is so beautiful. Also one of my favorite scape . Very nice the place of aquarium the furniture light and martial of aquarium. Super beautiful contrast color matching . Picasso work.👍👍👍good job George!!!
One of the most awaited videos of yours George! Excellent explanation given at each and every step of maintainence done on the Aquascaper 1200! I too own a 75g tank.. barely 6 months old.. ur this very aquascape had motivated me to venture into the art of aquascaping.. Thank u.. so far it was a budget aquascape.. will be introducing co2 and fertilizers by the week end.. Thank u once again for introducing me into such a lovely hobby.. and my suggestion for the 2ft tank challenge would be an idea similar to the African aquascape that ur had created at AquaDepot London I suppose.. the one close to that massive ivagumi scape. #keeponscaping
You just gave me an idea as to how I should set up my in line flow! love the heater and co2 direct connection. I never knew they made heaters like that. Thanks!
I'm so grateful that u mentioned the lights. :D amazing tank, I really like the way you explaining all of this. I always get some new tricks and new ideas from you! Thank you George :)
Hi George - this is an awesome tank. I always love it. As far as the new tank, I believe nature aquariums are generally best for grabbing the interest of beginners. For example, watching your videos lit the fire in me to set up my first planted tank a few months ago. I had always had reef tanks. But, your nature setups made me really interested in trying my hand at a freshwater scape. I absolutely love it! Thanks!
Still watching this after 2 years because the content is so useful. I had made a mess of my tanks by putting too many plants, but I try to find some harmony amidst the chaos... Trying to be better everyday in this hobby. Thanks and cheers
Good evening George. Thankyou for sharing this Awesome maintenance video. You did an outstandingly great job of cleaning that sweet Aquarium, and it looks Fantastic! 👍
My tip for the lamp stands - drill the hole on both ends and run the cables inside the tubes. I am sure they are hollow. Just remember to smooth out the edges of those new holes with a round file. Then you get rid of all the zip-ties and cables that rather stick out. Thank you for the video! Great tips on maintenance!
Such a beautiful tank. For the two foot tank that you mentioned at the beginning of the video, I think you should do a classic nature aquarium because your passion for this style of aqua scape is contagious.
Hello George, thanks for the video. I like to see that you sometimes neglect your scape, it happens to all of us now and than. However you did an awesome job bringing it back once more. I really like this tank, think it's the best one you've got at home. Love the dimensions of the tank and the shimmering of the Kessils is just fantastic! For the 2 foot challenge I'd like to see you do a classic nature aquarium that would make Amano proud! Greetings from Holland and keep on scaping mate!
As a total aquascaping novice I don't have any suggestions for the 2ft tank challenge, but I do have a 2ft tank that badly needs a makeover. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Love your channel, keep up the fantastic work!
Very Nice Tank. I like the - low mantenance idea for tanks, because lot of people struggle with the nature aquariums, that need lots of attention and work. I think, a tank wich is scaped - to have a good looking tank in the living room, but plantend with easy plants an maybe no co2 injection - if possible, means not the sometimes ugly fish tank of the past, would fit to nearly every fishkeeper. Nice to watch, easy to keep. Greetings from Germany.
IME Rams will put their eggs anywhere they feel safe on a flat surface. Once the eggs become wrigglers the parents will often move the whole bunch about to different locations. Agree though some GBR's would look mint in there.
You have an acrylic Juwel Rio 240? I thought they were all glass. You have to be very careful when touching the glass/acrylic, especially near the substrate so you don’t trap any grains against the glass/acrylic. I explain this in this video.
George Farmer i know i scratched it also some years ago, there are big scratches 10-15 inch long. I wondered why my aquarium has different refraction, maybe a little bit yellow tint, it looked different than other aquariums, then i found out it is indeed acrylic. Is it better to have acrylic tank ? It does not break so easy probably, also it is lighter than glass. Edit : maybe it is not acrylic, I am not sure now.
Well rescued George, I knew you would have it back on its feet in no time ;) Little tip if you haven't got one already, get yourself a Dennerle nano gravel cleaner (Mulmsauger) I bought one about a month or so ago and really pleased with it. They are only designed for 300mm deep tanks but work a charm when you've lowered your water level a bit. You can adjust the flow on it so it just sucks up the detritus on the sand/gravel then dumps the clean substrate back into the tank, excellent for getting into nooks and crannys and more importantly it has a mesh filter on it so doesn't suck up your shrimp ;) I'm sure the peeps at Dennerle will sort you one out.
Thanks for this video, George. A nice setup like yours can be pricey. But I think it’s totally worth it to buy nice equipment. It makes the hobby enjoyable. Kessil lights give a super nice shimmer. :)
You welcome, George. Your videos are very inspirational. I remember that you were fighting BBA by doing water changes? How did that work out? I have minor BBA and I don’t want to rely on hydrogen peroxide, but sometimes I feel a little hopeless because BBA is annoying to deal with.
Awesome video... thanks for all the in depth reali life maintenance info. I love that you show that in the real world, tanks sometimes get dirty. It's OKAY if our tanks don't always look like award winning material 24/7, but TLC can always bring them back. Also wanted to share my secret cleaning sponge since dennerle can be hard to get here in the states. Magic Eraser sponges work miracles. They're actually an inert Melamine foam that's totally tank (even reef tank) safe. It feels soft, but is super abrasive and removes tough algae and water stains. They need to be replaced somewhat often, but they're fairly cheap. Thanks again for all your awesome content! PS... love my #whitecolander
Well what a transformation. I find it very satisfying when I clean my tanks, however they wasn’t as bad as your 1200. The end result as always stunning .
always enjoy a look at the 1200. . just so happens I'm building a 2ft tank now. . interesting to see what you come up with compared to mine. good work dude!
I loved the explanation of the complete maintenance. Everything looks wonderful after a good cleaning! That green is reflected everywhere! Is funny when the fish are all in one corner during maintenance. Sometimes my fish 'disappear' 😝 For the 2 foot tank challenge i would like to see a hardscape with only plants and Stones, because i have seen many woods lately. By the way, I love these pearl gouramis.Perfect color combination with rasboras, frodo Stones.. 😍 Very high level George ☝️ I have to get a #redcolander like this, its great! I promise ill get one when i have a big tank 😀
This is by far my favorite tank! Thanks for showing that there not always pristine. I to would love to see a German blue ram tank as I keep a pair of them and would love to see what you would set up for them.
This tank is absolutely stunning George! I love how strong your passion is. You seem like an awesome dude. It would be awesome if I could make a trip out there and learn some things from you in person. Such high quality content! Really enjoying all your stuff man. Super excited to see your next budget scaping video!!! Love ya bro! 🤜🤛✌️
Thanks so much. Where do you live? I do travel quite a bit for workshops. I’m in New Jersey in October for instance. Right now I’m on my way to Hungary 👍
George Farmer I live in Ohio. I could probably make the drive out to New Jersey though! It would be awesome to meet you man I think your a master aquascaper I’ve been telling my subscribers to check you out because your scapes are simply incredible man!
Dennerle cleaner is awesome .Highly recommend 👍🏻.Id like also to personally thank you George because youve inspired me to set up my first scape its a work in motion and not perfect but im enjoying the journey...And thinking of doing a second larger tank now
Nothing better then a freshly maintained aquascape! I have to say I do think this is one of your best and it will be a sad day when you break it down. Iwagumi with lots of height? Or a scape with wood emerging from the aquarium surface would possibly be something unconventional to a beginner for the 2 ft scape. I can also vouch for the cleanator, great product!
Awesome dude . thanks for spending the time making the vids bro. Brings me great enjoyment watching your stuff and the knowledge I pick up is second to none. What would i like you to aquascape ?? I kinda love them tanks where the plants are out the water and growing tall. Whatever you do will be awesome yet again dude god bless yah. xxxxxx your my second fav after Pecktec who let's be honest is GOD !!

Black water. Because of you, I am working on doing a black water tank. I would like to see you add more depth on a black water tank. The one in your home looks amazing, even over grown! Doing one with more depth would be great for all aquascapers.
I see or here a lot of centimeters, liters and such. I have to break it down to ft, inches and gallons. I live in Minnesota wish we were all on the same system of measurement standard vs metric. I can figure it out, just wish I new it off the top of my head. Love the tanks.

Doubtful I’m afraid. It takes too much time to maintain and I would not be able to look after it properly. Maybe I’ll do something higher energy in my 600 eventually. 👍
Every time I see this tank it's an automatic thumbs up!
Thanks Rick! 👍
Love the black water idea 💡
I thought it was every time he shows off a tank auto thumbs up.
I just love this tank it's amazing
If you don't mind can I know the all plants names you used In this tank I'm from India and im the first in my area to make a planted tank and I want to make another a professional type tank ♥️

Excellent video! A few people show all the hard work needed for this hobby! And you are able to see that dirty is normal in your tank!
Setting up my first tank in 15 years. Thanks for your great advice and flawless presentation! Best, Martin
Thanks Martin 👍
I live in China (I’m Swedish) and after doing some research I realize there is so many cool things I can find here and it’s really low price. Thx again.
Very beautiful aquascape George. Plants super healthy.

You’re welcome 😊
Not a lot aquascapers would admit their tanks, pipes and glasware look like this. Thanks for bringing back this hobby into reality 👍🤗
I'm so grateful that u mentioned the lights. :D amazing tank, I really like the way you explaining all of this. I always get some new tricks and new ideas from you! Thank you George :)

Wow such a gorgeous tank! Love it.
Love those Kessil glitter lines...
Cheers Tim 👍
You are a true artist.good job.
Thanks 🙏
Classic nature style. What was ever more inspirational than classic Amano.
I agree! 😊
Absolutely amazing aquarium
you should do an german blue ram tank with rocks to make cool crevaces and caves for them to breed. i think that would be great to inspire beginners
Cool idea, butt i can confirm that german blue rams dont breed in caves. They lay eggs onn rocks.
Great idea but rams don't lay the eggs in caves like apistogramm
IME Rams will put their eggs anywhere they feel safe on a flat surface. Once the eggs become wrigglers the parents will often move the whole bunch about to different locations. Agree though some GBR's would look mint in there.
Nice video, I cleaned the glass of my aquarium with a credit card thingy after watching this. Thanks for inspiration.
Glad to help Peter! 👍
George Farmer but now I noticed that my acrylic aquarium (juwell rio 240) is all scratched up .

Thanks Michael, great tip! I’ll check out the Magic Eraser if I can find one in the UK. 👍😊
Definitely a blackwater biotope! Yours inspired me so much and i made a similar one for my first scape. Love it!
Hi George. I suggest a high flow hillstream tank.
Thanks Stuart 👍
I second this. Rachel O’Leary’s hillstream tank is one of my favorite tanks I’ve seen
Well what a transformation. I find it very satisfying when I clean my tanks, however they wasn’t as bad as your 1200. The end result as always stunning .
Cheers Steve. The before and after result never fails to please!
Excellent vid mate! Tank looks spot on after the maintenance 👌🏻
georgeous, as always, great to watch. thank you so much. i don't know what, i just want to see you scape :)
Thanks so much 😊👍
Awesome 🤩 Thanks for sharing George 👍 😀
Thanks Peter 👍
Good stuff, loved the credit card idea.
Thanks John 👍😊
Nice job George, looks fantastic - after the clean up of course :)
always enjoy a look at the 1200. . just so happens I'm building a 2ft tank now. . interesting to see what you come up with compared to mine. good work dude!

I will forever think of cleaning off my plants as “stroking” my plants! Thank you George!!!
Ha ha! You’re welcome 😊👍
Wow, thats a cool tank!👍
Dennerle cleaner is awesome .Highly recommend 👍🏻.Id like also to personally thank you George because youve inspired me to set up my first scape its a work in motion and not perfect but im enjoying the journey...And thinking of doing a second larger tank now
Thumbs up as always and a #redcolander for good measure! The progression of this tank is unreal, it keeps getting better!
Cheers Jake 👍
love this tank
Hey George,
thx for the maintenance tipps, would love to see your take on a hillstream tank, with strong flow, rocks etc.
I have yet to see a very well done black water tank, maybe try that ?
Eline sağlık George çok güzel olmuş
I want this kind of scape in my house..but..i dont have the space left..huuuu..inspirational as always george..cheerio 👍👌
the kessil is amazing
Awesome dude . thanks for spending the time making the vids bro. Brings me great enjoyment watching your stuff and the knowledge I pick up is second to none. What would i like you to aquascape ?? I kinda love them tanks where the plants are out the water and growing tall. Whatever you do will be awesome yet again dude god bless yah. xxxxxx your my second fav after Pecktec who let's be honest is GOD !!
Thanks so much. I love Sean Peck too! Legend. Make sure you say hi when you next comment on his video! 👍😊
will do Bro !! your also a Legend dude !! but i want to keep pushing you for excellence lol xxxxx
Thanks so much for this very helpful video!
you got some sun on holiday!
☀️👍
great video
Thanks Ryan 👍
Very inspiring video and reminds me that my tank needs a good clean up too. My floating plants grow absolutely wild and drive me mad as I need to thin them out every week or so and trim the roots, a right pain it is. Algae is not so much of an issue at the moment however, it's in some annoying and hard to reach places as I made the mistake of putting my hardscape quite close to the glass.
I also need to replace my Amazon sword as it is dying off because I assumed that my Ada substrate would be enough but I really should be invested in some root tabs. I've also got
some weird stringy black algae on my filter outlet that I need to clean off.
Other than that all of my chili rasboras are extremely happy and as far as I can tell all 12 are still alive and thriving. Truly a spectacular little fish with a huge amount of confidence for their size, I read that they are mid level feeders, however, most of mine always come to the surface when I feed or walk past them.
Thanks for the excellent quality content George, I eagerly await an update on your nano cube tank and the choices you made for its inhabitants.
Thanks so much and all the best with your setup 👍
Yay entertainment! Thanks George! and would love to see a African still water pond biotope maybe. Think that would work in that tank size.
Cheers Mark 👍
Thank you, this video is very helpful.
You’re welcome 😊
awesome aquascape! what music did you use at the end with the keyboard? amazing pictures with that sound
I'd like to see a Paludarium layout with a living wall like James Wong's nanos but on a larger scale. Would certainly be a nice change from the conventional and shouldn't be too difficult to make.
love that lamp 👍
Like the Hubsan x4 as well :)
I love this aquarium!
Great job once again George..That is a beautiful tank. Will Riccia Fluitans spread over rocks like other mosses?
Thanks Randy.
Yes, Riccia can be used like this but it can be very invasive.
Thanks george
Great video, great tank George. At what point do you clean/do maintenance on your filter? An iwagumi tank or high flow stream tank would be great to see. Thanks
Thanks!
I clean it when I notice a reduction in flow. 👍
Hi george, i bought a dennerle sponge after seeing yours in an earlier video and i can definatly recommend it. My aquascape is going slow and steady. I would like you to do a jungle scape with the 2 foot tank.
Beautiful tank! Bigger water changes? I may have to try that....
Definitely a biotope, love them. Quick question george, what’s your favourite substrate?
Cheers!
Tropica Soil
Black water. Because of you, I am working on doing a black water tank. I would like to see you add more depth on a black water tank. The one in your home looks amazing, even over grown! Doing one with more depth would be great for all aquascapers.
Cheers Eric 👍
Stress buster 😇 videos 🐠🐠🐟🐡
Iwagumi...I think your iwagumi,s are stunning
Thanks Mike 👍😊
I will second that!
amazing video. Which kind of lighting are you using?
Watch the video...
hahaha sorry.
What are those lights? Joking, great video George, love the B roll
Beautiful 😍😍😍😍 sorry I just think of this word, every time I see this beauty !
Thanks so much 😊👍
awesome video 👍🏿👍🏿
This tank is amazing Looking 🌱👊
Thanks Martin 👍
Nice video again :) for the two feet long i like to see a Iwagumi style!
Cheers mate 👍
I see or here a lot of centimeters, liters and such. I have to break it down to ft, inches and gallons. I live in Minnesota wish we were all on the same system of measurement standard vs metric. I can figure it out, just wish I new it off the top of my head. Love the tanks.
Thanks Chris 👍
Hi George,
I'm a big fan from Brazil, and to be honest I'm a beginner in the aquascaping community.
Right now I'm developing/creating my first aquascaping (plants and fish).
I have a programming/developer background, since I study engineering, during this aquascaping project came to my mind the idea of create a calculator where a new or old users can select an aquarium (dimensions), a plant(s) and the amount of plant(s), that he(she), wants to insert in the aquarium with each fish he select from a menu and at the and se the statistics about the tank.
The final result would be something like a table with the estimate value of each commun chemical in a Aquarium.
The ideia looks feasible?
I started a quick research but I couldn't find any good database for plants or fishes and their proprieties.
The whole ideia is to share a free tool to the community.
What do you think? Would you be able to help me giving a direction to start?
Thank you for your time and all the good videos that you share with all of us =D
Br é foda
Very good video.
Great vid (as always) on maintenance George. I think I’ll employ the credit card trick. Cheers.🤙
Oh, and what species is that little loach in your 1200?
Dwarf chain loach. Ambastaia sidthimunki
Thanks Pete 👍
Loving the tank! Just one question, why don't you use a Twinstar on it? I'd be very curious to see it do it's magic.
Are you planning to do high tech with this tank in the future? ^^ would be awesome! red plants etc.
Doubtful I’m afraid. It takes too much time to maintain and I would not be able to look after it properly.
Maybe I’ll do something higher energy in my 600 eventually. 👍
