Great episode Jo. But you'll kill your hair if you keep using flat irons to style it when it needs blow-drying. Heres a quick tip. Buy 6 large velcro rollers. After washing, rough dry your hair to 90% using warm not hot airflow (it's short it will take like minutes). Then smoothly wind the top sections around the Velcro Rollers. Then get dressed, do your make-up, have breakfast etc, and take the rollers out just before you are about to leave and comb through. You can also stick the rollers into bone dry hair, smooth them around and leave them for 10 minutes like this. It's not as good as a proper blow-dry, but it does enable you to get a smooth finish and shape without spending ages on. More importantly, ironing will start to make your hair frizzy and brittle, so you end up with a cycle of the hair needing more and more styling. Scott xx

My hair looks like I’ve been pulled through a bush backwards most days because of this weather and I’m outside quite a lot with my dog too. Jo you always look so trendy and beautiful

Absolutely loved this weeks vlog. Your hair definitely calmed down by the time you got to Gunnersbury Park. What beautiful dogs Kathy has, she looks so happy and grounded. The places you visited were a real treat. I have noted Cafe Zedel for a possible future visit with a small group of good friends who like interesting places. The trick to getting a polished finish with the flatiron is to section your hair and pass the iron down each 1 inch section. You will be surprised that once you routinely do your hair in sections it goes faster than when you do it piecemeal and it lasts longer so I only do my hair every 2-3 days. I use a blowdryer the next morning to fluff my bangs and the crown and it looks fresh. Jo, unfortunately you are right because if the hair is bad, we let it affect our mood and how we feel about ourselves. I like you, are tired of the frigging winter and can't wait for spring. It was 64 here and felt like spring today. Got my two greyhounds out for 2 walks today. It looks so green there. I can't wait to fling open my doors and windows and let some air in this stuffy place. Love your videos!

Thank you for opening my eyes to our joyous city, since subscribing I’ve started to see it so much more positively , and can even shrug off so many things that have bugged me for years., Today I zoomed down the canal to Waitrose and stopped to see the fantastic violets in bloom along the verges rather than having an internal grouse about the litter and the bicycle bells . I actually started phone calls with ‘ It’s a beauuutiful day ‘ , using your intonation ! Of course today London is spectacular, but thanks again for making me rediscover how amazing it is .We’re so lucky . And thanks also for showing how a great haircut can make a woman, I just had the chop and love it . So do my friends. Cheers!

What a Sunday boost Jo! - absolutely loved the variety this week. BTW, I have similar issues with my hair, and use a high-street pharmacy brand of ant-frizz serum on the last 5ins of my hair. It is more controllable than hair conditioner (which makes my hair lank), and it's handbag size so you can use it throughout the day wherever you feel you need it. A small dab goes a very long way - most are under £3.00.

Also, Joico KPaK will give your hair an incredible help. Try it, my hair seems to have doubled in volume, and I’m 78. And it moves around in one piece, doesn’t separate when I shake my head.

Regarding your neck no offence honestly but that ( probably really expensive) treatment made no difference atall still looks the same. However your quirky style and the ability to wear any style / colour and look fantastic all the time trumps whatever your neck looks like x

What a Sunday boost Jo! - absolutely loved the variety this week. BTW, I have similar issues with my hair, and use a high-street pharmacy brand of ant-frizz serum on the last 5ins of my hair. It is more controllable than hair conditioner (which makes my hair lank), and it's handbag size so you can use it throughout the day wherever you feel you need it. A small dab goes a very long way - most are under £3.00.
