The panthere is the most beautiful elegant and comfortable watch for women from Cartier
I couldn't agree more!
Agreed but the tank could give off the same look...and women, we tend to go for watches as jewellery pieces.
The Panthere Ruban Is the bee's knees ❤
Panthere is a classic.
The Panerai joke was a mic drop
BTW, a Quartz watch is not a lesser watch. I like a mechanical watch as much as the next guy, (I have an Omega) but let’s be real here. Watches ARE jewelry and a Quartz watch is more practical and far more accurate than a mechanical one. I have both and am not “embarrassed” by my Quartz watches. As always, love the Gringa videos! 😎⌚️🥃
I couldn’t agree more with this entire comment! 💕
Had a Santos for a while. Recently added a Tank Must XL. Said to myself: "Okay. I've completed my Cartier journey. I have everything I'll ever want." Then my wife and I were in NYC and we stopped in the Carter store on Fifth Avenue. I saw the Ballon Bleu 40mm in rose gold in real life for the first time and realized that Abraham Maslow was wrong. There is a need hierarchy above self-actualization, and it is Ballon Bleu 40mm in rose gold.
Oh thisbis just BRILLIANT! Famous last words “I’ve completed my ______ journey” 😜 there’s always something new to fall in love with!! 💕💕 you know! I think I need to try on the ballin bleu again! Did you end up buying the Ballon Bleu?!?! 😱 you need it!
@@BrittPearceWatches Not yet, but it's on the list.
The ranking system is brilliant! Rumor has it that the solar powered Tank has been discontinued. Can you confirm?
El Ballon Bleu es realmente hermoso 🔥
Yes - I have seen one it is breathtakingly sophisticated and powerful on the wrist - well done. (Every wrist is different and I was never sure about the pebble shape on my smaller wrist - whether it would embrace me or wobble around! If yours has the deployment clasp that extra weight might balance up the weight.)
Consider this point: If you're a first-time owner of a Cartier watch(as I am) ,you're just happy to have one, no matter what model you bought!
More and more, I am drawn to the elegant classic styling of the Cartier watch catalog. Thank you for this fun excursion!
"...and don't need a Panerai to prove it." Ouch.
LOLLLL! 💀💀 I thought that was cold! Even for me! 😂🙈
Spot on 😂
I love how you admit you don't have a cutout for a specific watch, and instead of editing it out and getting a pic of that watch, you just draw one. Stay gold, Ponygirl.
Bahaha honestly! I didn't see the Tortue being gone! ^_^ So we had to adapt and overcome! ;) haha!
Yep, that was cinematography magic.
Great Outsiders reference, btw.
Watch geeks love quartz, watch snobs dismiss it.
Oh can we get an amen!?!?! I second this!
We should accept modernity and embrace traditions
And Cartier dabbles in both
Maybe im a snob but heres my take, the beauty of having something so simple and complex work and powered solely by something so simple and complex as a rotor or a wind its just wow. Cant say quartz watches are ugly, they just dont appeal to me as much as an automatic... am I a snob... maybe... 🤷♂️
I love quartz in a cheap watch.
Perfectly fine with my Casio Sapphire or Tissot Motogp being Quartz.
If I'm paying $3000 for a watch, it better not be a quartz.
If that makes me a snob so be it.
@@travr6 you have made the best point lol, is all about the money!
I just bought the Tank LC YG. Was skeptical since it is a quartz, but after wearing it I can truly see why it is probably the most notorious watch the brand has . I love it 🙂
How can you be a Cartier Fan Girl and not talk about the Cartier Crash? WTF!
Of course the Panthère is also for men. I love mine!!!
My Cartier AD said they're releasing a male Panthere next year.
@@uzairp278it was just released this month 31mm x 42mm
When?
Ronde struck me as the most everyday Cartier watch, which is why I picked it.
Gotta start Gringa bingo: when she says quhwaffee, aboot, and references Jenni. Love this channel
I like Cartier. I just can’t pull the trigger on one. Thanks Britt
If I may add a favorite from the discontinued section.
Cartier Roadster….

🔥 🔥 🔥
Panthere Ruban ❤
The Santos really is amazing. Purchased one a few weeks ago and it has become my go to.
I loved the crafting. Notebook, hand drawn, cut outs. I would give it a 🔥
Loved your comment about men not needing a Panerai to prove their manliness! I just had this conversation last week. It seems, some women think the firm image gets softened if a man wears a smaller watch OR even a salmon dial. What do you think?
You know, I so agree! I also just think different women are attracted to different styles! ^_^ I think there is nothing more stylish than a man in a Tank or a Santos! Also.. SALMON DIALS!
The way you feel about the Tortue is the way I felt about the discontinuation of the Clé.
Going out on a limb here but looking to garner some support: I'm getting interested in the brand new (2023) Tank Francaise Large. Even as a man with a 7" wrist, I still think it kind of works! Much chunkier and sportier than other Tank options. Does anyone else get this, anyone AT ALL?!? 😂
I get it ❤
Not a poop in the range :) Personally I am offended by your meh of the Francaise, it's the only Tank for me but that's because it's the lovechild of the Tank Louis and The King, the Santos Dumont. We all had some fun.
Your video editing skills are absolutely mind boggling! Great video as always, been thinking about the Santos ADLC large lately. Beautiful watch
WHAAAT! This has officially made my DAY! I really have been trying to improve my editing! 🙈💕 hoping to keep getting a bit better and better! I’m currently experimenting with something that will be my most ambitious edit to date! 🙈✨ hopefully coming next Sunday!
@@BrittPearceWatches I loved it, it was a breath of fresh air from a computer screen! 😂
Today, I learned more about Cartier than I thought I would ever learn. Awesome graphics for your ranking table. 😁
Whaaaat! This is much too kind and it has made my day! 🙈✨ I’m so glad there was sometjing to learn in here!
Hahaha as for graphics… we are trying out different things here at gringa tube! 😂
No mention of the Tank Basculante? Or the Santos 100?
Britt, I have to say I have never been more educated in Cartier than actually watching this simplified video. Us Canadians like simple. I never really thought about Cartier but, that Ronde honestly I love it. Never apologize for your opinion. Thanks again Britt. Cheers 🤗
You are soooo right regarding the Tank. The new Française is an abomination in the eye of the Lord. The Cintrée, however, is one of the nicest watches they ever made. Regrettably it is out of my reach. Specially since John Goldberger bought them all, the bastard. Somewhere in the middle is the solo.
That said, mineral glass is dogshit.
In the mean time, my only Cartier is a Santos medium. My wife has the Tank Solo L.
It’s unfair from you the way u ranked the ballon bleu , you need to see it on your wrist in real life cuz it’s totally another story , super elegant , luxurious and a class on its own, please apologize 🤨
So happy to see you rank the Pasha de Cartier in the heart eyes category, as I look down and gaze lovingly at my own 35mm Pasha on my wrist…thanks for this entertaining video!
I personally really enjoy the Mk1 Tank Francaise , probably because both of my parents got one from the 90s when it first came out , and I got mine when I graduated from university , but seeing your video I kinda questioned my thoughts 😂
Great video. The watch community needs more insight into watch collecting rather than the standard review of watches. Also not enough content for women out there. Thanks Britt!
You know, I was just thinking today I've been doing too many of these more watch collecting videos rather than reviews! ;) I am DYING to do a review! haha! I just can't get my hands on enough watches! ^_^
hi gc, it is kevin, your neighbor in n.y. i just took my 19 yr. old tag link in for a complete refinish. it will be gone for 4 months, so i am going to buy the hamilton khaki automatic. so much for so little !!! someday i will own a datejust and a santos 100. till then i will continue to love you, and your channel. cheers to you and papi.
You know! I am DYING to get hands on with a hammy!! You nailed it! Sooo much for so little. I can’t even wrap my head around the price of the khaki automatic!
This comment has absolutely made my day! Thank you so much! 💕✨
@@BrittPearceWatches i just love how you refer to the khaki field as HAMMY. must be a canada term. just kidding. pls. continue to be the best, along with jenni. most of the men on you tube are quite full of themselves.
My fave out of budget high spend is tank assymetycal, it is my personal "crash" lol. Just love it.
I love Cartier, especially quartz you can find so many vintage deals...
It’s soooo true! 😱
Cool homemade emojis. Cartier would be so proud. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣⌚️
😂🙈🙈
I’m not much of a tank guy, but I appreciate their lineage and there’s a lot of nuance within their design language. It’s kind of humorous to hear you describe one of their watches as have a rather sporty feature - a seconds hand.
When it comes to tank cases, I must admit, the Reverso variants hold my attention a bit longer, they seem less precious.
Sunday is Gringa-day. My weekend is complete
Oh BLESS! It’s the magical time of the week! 🙈✨
This requires an update!
You know you love the Panthere afterall. 😜
One of my favorite brands 🤌🔥
Wearing the rose gold skeleton today.
Gringa Sunday the best day of the week 🔥🕺🎶
As I said, all Cartiers have a place in my heart 👌🏻.
On another topic………Hopefully you can bring more budget friendly brands to the channel B.
You know, some Japanese brands, low to mid end Swiss watches will be cool also for a lot of people and I think that could boost the popularity of your channel even more.
Also it will be awesome if you record your visits to your AD and do a video trying on different pieces.
Sorry for the long comment haha
Have a great Sunday B. 👍🏻
It's that magical day of the week!!
The floating magnum at the end 😂
😂😂 only the real ones who make it to the end know!
This ranking scale is way better than those digital ones 😂 much more fun
😂😂🙈 I was just trying something new! I’m glad you enjoyed! ✨✨
Oh, girl! I will FIGHT you! How dare you not grant more respect to the Francaise? Ditto for the Ballon.
The Santos is, of course, the only grail.
Yoh... you forgot the Drive, which is just so spectacular.
Bahaha ohhh NOOO! You know, I am feeling absolute REGRET FOR MY PLACING OF THE FRANCAISE!!! Let me redeeeem this!
@@BrittPearceWatches Love you so much!
Wow, Britt the soothsayer!
I’m watching this in June ‘24 way after the Tortue Mono pusher has been unveiled at Watches and Wonders.
Great work 🧐
No Drive!? No Rotonde!? No Calibre!? No Crash!? No this, no that?
Haha! WELL! I was ranking current catalogue! 😜 which excludes almost everything listed here! But ronde was ranked at the end! 😜💕✨
I own a stainless Pasha with large date. It was my daily wear for about 15 years. Still wear it regularly. The Cintree is quite possibly the most elegant watch of all time. I also love the Cloche.
Thank you Britt for you light hearted perspective on the hobby. I’ve had along day and this brought me some joy before calling it a night!
9:10 oooh shots fired at Tim Write 🤣
Hahaha never would I ever!
I have a Cartier Santos (Carree) gold and steel model that my mother gave me for my 21st. It was my daily watch for 15 years and I still wear it occasionally now. Even though it is small by todays standards, it still works for me!
OMG: you don’t love either the panthere or the Ronde. Those are the two I’m looking to get lol
Not to be dramatic, but i would've rioted if the panther went under a smiley 😂
I didn't expect to enjoy this video because I'm not a Cartier fan. I was wrong! Your delivery is awesome, thanks for the great video!
Dennis Hopper wore a Panthere too ☝🏻😉
Why no love for the Cle Cartier? It is such a sleek and classy, looking watch that no one ever talks about.
Britt six years ago I purchased my Yellow gold mondo-usher for $12,500 new that was the price then. Love love it my fav Cartier.
No one minds a quick rank on the weekend.........
So I have a Cartier Santos and a Panerai and I don't know where I stand now.
Bahaha!
I REALLY wanted to like the Santos, but when I actually tried it on, it just 'wasn't for me'. I ended up getting a JLC Reverso Gran Sport.
Cartier watches are beautiful, however they wear more like 'a bracelet with a watch' rather than a 'watch on a bracelet'....all very subjective, obviously.
What happened to the Drive de Cartier?...a very nice sporty watch, sadly missing a bit of WR.
Thanks for the video, loved the ranking system :)
Gah! That’s why you gotta try before you buy! 🙈✨ you made an amazing choice with the JLC! 😱
We are all entitled to our own opinions Britt, but of course mine are correct, if it's my money it's my choice as I will be the loon who's going to wear it. Anyway I don't have a Cartier so I'm not that bothered about the rankings. If I could justify a Cartier it would be one of the Tanks. The Santos is also tempting. For now I can happily admire these watches from afar.
If you ever come across a vintage La Dona, be sure to try it on.
I think this list is perfectly spot on minus the Tank Française because I think that thing is just bad ass and I'm only into sport/tool watches. After that, I love the Santos 100 DLC/Titanium Chrono, the Tortue Monopusher, Pascha Chrono and the Ronde being that it's kind of an elegant field watch especially with the 24h inner dial. Still, it's a great list to set your sights on goal-wise and organise your prospective collection
Hello Britt,
Today, I took again a look at the AD after watching almost all your videos about Cartier. It’s even most difficult to decide now! I am a man with a medium wrist size and I probably will start with the Tank Must Large and then we will see if one day I can afford one between the Santos Dumont Large and the Santos Medium.
Congratulations for your channel, you are funny and not pretentious at all.
The habit of Cartier discontinuing models without really announcing it strikes again. My first Cartier is a Tank Anglaise I bought used in early 2021 and I only learned it was a discontinued model when I was at a Cartier boutique to buy my blue dialed Santos. I felt similar pangs of sadness when I learned the Drive was discontinued as it was one of the designs that really jumped out at me and made me take a good look at the brand's lineup. Obviously I went with different watches as the Drive didn't quite fit what I wanted (it seemed to have the same identity crisis as the Ronde) but it still stung.
It's nice to see some of the less popular aka round models getting recognition. I didn't know what to make of the Pasha when I first saw it but it's a design that's grown on me over time as I see more of how it plays with shapes despite still being a circular case.
Santos de Cartier medium all day long!! 🔥🔥🔥
RIGHT?!?!?!
I have never been on time anywhere in my life, it is something that I do not give importance to, with that in mind I have never been interested in wearing or even having a watch, but I saw something in that (Tank Must) that I cannot describe is like If I had been transported to the first time I heard music or tried an ice cream, how elegant and lovely is that design, my God.

Me: Oh neat, she really drew a hand 👋 emoji that casually & quickly! She must be pretty good at drawing stuff as well!

Britt: Drawing a fire emoji
Me: Oh....
LMAOOOO! 💀💀💀 hahaha that sounds about right!
Where's the tank asymetrique?
I MISSED SO MANY! 😢
What are your thoughts on the little face lift they recently have the francaise? I agree it’s a little bit of a snooze at times but there is something with the new dial.
I prefer the previous model, which I own ❤
Before I even watch the video I'm going to say you cannot rank Cartier watches. They're all absolutely fantastic!!!! .... Biased? I'm not biased
I COULDN'T AGREE MORE!!! I was trying to be harsh and put some below heart eyes... but honestly... THEY ARE ALL HEART EYES OR FIRE!
I know the Cartier Crash wasn’t mentioned but maybe that’s because it’s in a league of its own, I would place it in the straight fire 🔥category for sure!
The americaine is the MOST COMFORTABLE watch to wear EVER 😘
The owl has spoken! ;)
@@BrittPearceWatches well when you want to give it another shot, just holler 😘
The Cartier Tortue is a thing of beauty.
Actually surprised how much I like this brand now, it grew on me!!!!!!😳😳😳
It'll do that! ;) They've really done the same to me! I think there's a time and a place for a Cartier!
@@BrittPearceWatches agreed!!!!
@@BrittPearceWatches all the time, everyday?
Had to laugh at the manliness comment. I love my small Cartier Tank Solarbeat on my 17cm wrist. So small, super legible, and disappears on the wrist. What's not to love. My dad did make a comment about it looking like a ladies' watch. So, of course, he needed a history lesson on the Tank.
is there anything more fun than giving a history lesson on a watch?! hahaha! I do the same all the time too! My husband is in the military, so I love when someone comments on my tank because then I get to talk watches AND military and try to convert some of these navy guys into the Cartier life! ;)
@Britt Pearce I love nerding out on a watch's history/lineage and technology. Think my wife is sick of hearing about it 🤣. But those elements and a small part of a watch's look is what draws me to a watch. Pretty much why I have the collection I do.
I got my new Santos Large Rose gold today with leather straps. I didn’t know too much about Cartier until I watched your videos. ❤️ I was never attracted to the square design but when I saw it in person it was like love at first sight.
Where did you get that case ? I would like to get one like that to put away my watches.
Love your channel & so happy I found it. I have had the same watch my beautiful Mama gave to me at 18 ( i'm now 39). It's a Michel Herbelin. It holds so much sentimental value that for the last 3 years I have tried numerous Rolex, Omega, JLC etc. but they just dont seem to do it for me & I just cannot decide what I want. Until now, with thanks to your help. Tomorrow, i'm going to buy a Santos. I haven't had my Herbelin off my wrist in 20 years in all occasions & thats really what I want again. Something timeless, classy & perfect for all occasions be it work, black tie, the pub or diving with sharks in the ocean it will do it all & look bloody good doing it. Thanks for your videos & infectious love of Cartier. You should defo be on commission ❤🔥💥💫🔥
Love this video. Cartier de Santos medium is definitely fire. Love my Blue Tank Must as well. Unfortunately my Dumont is gone. I just don't really wear two-tone. I hope to get a Tank Louis Large in gold someday. The only full gold they have for the Dumont is X-Large that's not quartz. I just can't buy quartz full gold watch
If you wanted to show that Pierce B. is “comfortable in his manliness” you should have chosen a different photo. 😁⌚️😁
I’m torn between xl tank must and large steel Santos for a one watch collection. I’d get alligator straps for them. What do you think?
GAH!!! I love! This is the hardest decision ever!!! There truly is no bad choices.
SO! I have both - a tank and a Santos. I wear my Santos a lot more. 🙈 but I’m not sure if that’s because it is newer! But I’m leaning more Santos!
And I bloody love an alligator strap!!! Get it now while you still can 😜
I completely agree with your rankings - you have great taste. I am biased, but I also love the Cartier Tortue in all styles! I have the vintage Cartier Tortue Dauphine ladies version and just love how classic and understated it is.
Complication is overrated. If it’s beautiful and tells the time = 👍❤️
Britt,…thanks much for sharing your thoughts and insights. Really enjoyed this video. After wearing the same watch for 29 years (?) I acquired a Santos de Cartier Large Grey and a Cartier Tank Must XL with a leather strap. The Santos is so versatile. I am digging the fact that the Tank Must XL is automatic and has the date and second hand. Cartier is class.
The newer Ronde de Cartier is going to be my next watch. I love it so much that I might be selling my Tank to fund it.
I think the small tank americaine is divine! 😍🤩😍🤩!!!
Oh, this video is so 🤌🏽
DeepHazelJay has had a NAME CHANGE?!?!
I bought a tank for my wife and now I defo need to add a two tone santos in my collection, my dilemma is if I should buy the new one or a vintage one 🤔🤔
I HAD THE SAME DILEMMA!!! And I ended up getting a modern version ;) Are you looking at Santos de Cartier or a Dumont?! If Santos de Cartier I'd recommend new all the way!
@@BrittPearceWatches the santos the Cartier so we can both wear it easily with the new bracelet adjustments 🙈🙈best way to make my wife and myself happy at the same time, no need to justify why I bought another watch if she can wear it aswell 😂😂
Took me a year to come over this..and alot of therapy. You placed the Ballon Blue next to the Panthere and you said that the Panthere wasn't even a real watch. WHY GOD WHY !!! and then to top it off, you place the entery level watch Ronde almost next to it also. WHY GOD WHY !!! The Ballon Blue is the number one dress watch.. it has style, it has quality, it has everything . WHY GOD WHY !!!. Great video btw 😁
PS : i have the rose gold 40 mm Ballon Blue and the mechanical Santos Dumont .. i just love the watches. I agree with ya, to top the collection off.. that it really needs the Cartier Santos. Still need to get that one.
I like this ranking stuff. I know fancy watches is what this channel is about, but I wish it covered a broader range that included affordables. Not instead, just in addition to what is already covered.
I’m picking up what you’re laying down! :) anything in particular you’d like to see?! :)
@@BrittPearceWatches Whatever you feel like and inspires you. The main draw of this channel is your quirky personality and spontaneous sincerity. Don't overthink it; just if something comes to mind, go for it. If it doesn't inspire you or if it feels forced, forget it.
Other viewers may disagree 🤷♂.
Just realized I was not subscribed, btw. Fixed that!
Great you are talking about Cartier 😊 I’m a fan of the classic versions that are quite small - for example the Santos Carrée or Galbée. On my list is the Tank Must large model now though. It’s just really an icon. Yes, the Tank Louis would be ideal, but then it’s £11k.
I just ordered two new Cartier: a yellow gold Tortue from the CPCP line and a yellow gold Santos Dumont Ultra Thin from 1995. I’m super excited to see them next week!
Santos large on a bracelet for me.
I love my 18ct Cartier Tank LC, but where’s the Baignoire on your table? Or the Tank Basculante for that matter? 🤔
my poor Americane. I still think the time only Americane are way better on the wrist - the pre CPCP. The cintree is unwearable on my wrist 😂
Rise you hand if you saw "Wilson" instead of fire 🏐
🙌🏽
Great video, Brittany, thank you. Not a Cartier fan. Still... that Tank de Must XL calls me. I tell it to shut up! I can't afford you right now! And yet... There I am, looking at it on line stores. Good thing the closest AD is an hour and fifteen away, and a crappy drive at that.
A magnum condom floating around. I’m speechless.
I’m having big problems with guys that think all good watches are to small.
My dad had gignormus wrists 22 cm and a 27*27 mm Certina!
I really don’t have any problem with small watches!
Hard to not like Cartier watches. I hope Cartier comes out with a Worldtimer or GMT watch. Also release a new version of the Cartier Calibre.
Ballon bleu has to be at minimum heart eyes. I was torn for ages between the ballon bleu and santos - the santos scratches sooo bad and looks weathered. The ballon bleu is so classy!
but wheres the god tier and pope tier?! In all seriousness, another great video from you, always love gringa content!
I have recently become obsessed with the Tortue Monopoussoir, an outstanding piece of kit. The fact that some heavy hitters in the industry were involved in its creation including François-Paul Journe make it that much more exciting. Too bad we never got to see more collaborations, but we did get the Vagabondage out of it.
True!!
