@markmendoza3121 my fiance bought me my dream Breitling for our engagement last year. Before that, I had no watches in my collection, and less than a year later I just bought my third 😂

Hi Britt. My 1st Rolex was a 34mm Date 1500. Bought it 33 years ago and still wear it from time to time. I'm always amazed by how well the 34mm works on my 7in wrist. Never underestimate the smaller watches.
I am getting back into watches after several years off. Started a family, switched jobs a few times, among other things. I'd never heard of Christopher Ward until seeing this video. I've been eyeing a few other watches of late, but upon seeing the C63 Sealander GMT, I put aside all thoughts of those other watches, and immediately pulled the trigger on the Sealander. What a beautiful piece! Thanks for making me aware of the watchmaker!

Nice pieces, the Rolex OP is fun and there are so many dial choices. Nostalgia overcomes watch snobbery when we see watches we lusted after as a kid but were unable to acquire, your Tag Formula 1 is a perfect example, it is so 80's/90', who cares if it doesn't float someone elses boat? I laughed pretty hard when you got to the Cartier with the Quartz Movement, thanks for that..... The diversity of your collection is "cool", I am considering picking up a white dialed version of your Seiko GMT, I think I need another white dial.

Your two favourite watches, the OP and the Daytona, I bought both for me and my wife to wear on our wedding day. I asked for them about 18 months in advance, got the OP about for my wife about 9 months ago and then my black Daytona literally arrived at the AD the day that I left to fly home for the wedding, about 6 weeks ago! Christopher Ward is not a microbrand, it's an independent. They have been going for twenty years, have had their own movement for ten years, and in the last year had a turnover of £30m with an overall profit of £4m. Apart from their HQ showroom in Maidenhead (and they're about to move to a larger new HQ), they've now opened a small showroom premises in Texas and apparently will be adding another one into the new Everton Stadium. Definitely not a microbrand, which is normally operated by a "microbusiness" defined as having a turnover of less than €2m and/or less than 10 employees. They're still pretty much an enthusiast brand, but I've not seen many microbrands do TV advertising campaigns, sponsorship deals, or produce their own in-house printed magazine, so....
Thanks for giving a shout out to those of us who by virtue of economic limitations are not in your collecting league. I do own a Rolex Datejust (purchased new in 1988) which I love as my first and only”luxury” watch. My current favorites and most worn are Kuoe Old Smith 90-002L/Bronze, Certina DS Super PH 1000M in teal/orange and Marathon GSAR Arctic Edition. Honestly I wish I could wear all my watches at the same time🤣 I have such a hard time deciding which one to put on each day. A serious question when you are 76 years old.
