When you’re on the next road trip be sure and make a pit-stop at Buc-ee’s. Watch this video review and see why you need to mark this down on the “things to do” list.
When we were coming back to Chicago from Tampa we stopped at Buc-ee's in Fort Valley, Georgia and I got their Bohemian garlic flavored beef jerky and it was amazing. That place is so huge I was like damn!
A Buc-ee's will be built in Smith's Grove KY on I-65 just north of Bowling Green. There's no official opening date yet, but it looks like sometime in 2023. There's also one going in near Fort Campbell in Oak Grove, KY. The Richmond and Smith's Grove locations will be almost exactly the same distance from Louisville, so I don't anticipate them opening any closer to the city. Maybe they'll find a wide open space on 65 in southern Indiana to open though. We've been to the Richmond location twice. I call it as the state fair and a gas station having a baby.
Buc-ee's SLICED brisket sandwich is pretty good, their restrooms are the best and gas is USUALLY cheaper than other options but that is about it. Almost everything is way over priced. It's what my Dad used to call on road trips a "TOURIST TRAP" just like Stuckey's was. It's all about the hype. Everybody goes there because they see everybody go there....Marketing of that place is nothing short of genius.
I just visited the new Athens one a few days ago. I gotta say, as always with BUC-EES, I really love the place (: such a cool experience, and very nice people working there, and it overall is just a super nice place to visit. I went to the Dallas, Texas one back in 2016, I had no idea they would be in other places! This place is awesome, and I would definitely recommend visiting if you're ever on a road trip and see one. It's super sweet!
Brisket is so tender, so delicious, and full of fat, er, flavor!! Wife and I have been there twice now, 2nd trip just for the brisket. Sliced hot turkey sammich is pretty good too tho. Thick sliced. Make ya yern for some dressing and cranberry sauce. Great review!!
This place looks like a Black Friday everyday. The noise level is loud but wouldn’t stop me from going only there’s not any towards the north that I know of. A large new store located in Gatlinburg and I see on UA-cam how traffic was jammed for miles. I definitely could spend hundreds of dollars there! Food looked amazing.
Yes, the new one in Sevierville is located right at the intersection at the interstate off ramp. I can see it being a huge traffic disaster. The cheap gas is the main reason I stop, but of course still get an XXL brisket sandwich on the way out. Lol!
"looks like a Black Friday everyday"? In terms of people YES, in terms of prices......NO and not even close as Buc-ees sells NOTHING cheap inside the store. And gas isnt always the cheapest either.
@@goodallscountrykitchen Yeah, it’s massive. I’ve lived in East TN all my life and remember the old mom n pop gas stations and now to see something like this is crazy. I drive up there once a month just to stock up on Beaver Nuggets lol
Growth plan was Texas, the Southeast, then likely the Midwest. It's heavily oriented toward "red" states....You will see a ratio of at least 10:1 conservatives vs, liberals.
Barry, let me understand this correctly. People will gas up their vehicle and just stay parked next to the pump as a parking place? IF so, they should be towed and charged $200 to get their vehicle back!
Unfortunately we were not able to find any family owned places. I should have done more research. Although I did post a review from two years ago at Carver’s Orchard and Applehouse Redtaurant.
Casey's meets Walmart? Playing devil's advocate. Perhaps people don't want the perception that they are bolting without paying for their gas? But I agree. It makes perfect sense & is the courteous thing to do (otherwise)--to park--regardless of whether you are going in to the store or planning on leaving immediately.
Very few folks would pre-pay inside because they don’t know how much it would be to fill up.! I would have to believe 99.999999% pay with a card at the pump.
It’s pretty darn good for gas station food. Plus, all the options. I dropped the ball and didn’t even show the cold sandwich selections or the salads. That shows my non-healthy mentality. Lol!
Disappointing! They feed us all the fattening foods but they have very limited quantities on t-shirts larger then XL. Nothing more disappointing then seeing a cool shirt just to see that you can’t get one to fit you! This has consistently been the case the numerous times I’ve stopped in this store. So I’ll have to boycott their foods so I can get down to an XL shirt. See you in two or three years Bucee unless your buyers start buying larger quantities of large shirts. No need for me to stop by otherwise!

Quite a production they put on.
Good job letting those of us who have never been to one see what they are like.
That is some operation they have there. The food looks great!
It is an experience, that’s for sure.
I remember you from high school when I was a student. Thank you for your guidance! Love your channel, you’ll channel will blow up soon
Thank you for the kind words. I’m glad you had a positive recollection of our interactions.

That’s a good description. I think they should have one between Shepherdsville and Dtown.
We're getting one in Athens, AL - at the I-65 Browns Ferry Exit - Thanks for the informative review.
Thanks for watching and sharing.

Caramel coated packing peanuts! Look on bottom of front label….”Contains a bioengineered food ingredient”.
Full meal,shower , snacks, clothing,gas ,nice folks,can't go wrong ..
Full service treatment!!
We got the largest one in Pigeon Forge and this place is unbelievably huge, it has 120 gas pumps and the food is good!
I remember seeing it under construction when I was there a couple years ago.

Not packing heat?
I saw a UA-cam Female show off the bathrooms when it wasn't as busy, hits different when a Female does things 😁😁
Agreed.

That’s where I live-
You mentioned you were returning from Gatlinburg, will you be posting any restaurant food reviews from there?

I don’t think Walmart at Christmas time is that busy where I live.
Facts.
Great vlog! Does this place have shopping carts?
I’m pretty sure they do.
👍👍
Next time you’re in Richmond, check out Jackson’s.
Thanks for the heads up.
33.98 a pound! That shit better be made of gold
Just buy the XXL brisket sandwich for $12.99 because there is close to a pound of meat on it. Class dismissed. Lol!!
Buc--ee's Please come to California!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Karla in Cali.
It’s a spectacle.
legend says a man can even go to bucees to buy his wife a condum if he chooses too

Who don't love Buc-ee's?
coach’s hands shaking during food segment…no hot sauce.
I was unprepared.
ha
Fudge looks good. Hard pass on the jerky!
I love jerky but had already bought a bunch in Gatlinburg.
The jerky is amazing bohemian garlic ❤
@@rthilson I should have bought some.
I’m convinced your stomach is a bottomless pit lol
Pretty much. lol!!
The smoked turkey is pretty good, i found the brisket to be mediocre. Worth seeing once, as a testament to America's overwhelming abundance.

Bring Buc-ees to Rhode Island
They’ll be there eventually.

Nice novelty place. Overpriced and overrated, however.
