Today, we made a stop at Buc-ee’s in Richmond, Kentucky. We love stopping for clean restrooms when traveling. Our favorite road trip beverage is a Buc-ee’s pineapple cream soda. They have a huge variety of just about anything and everything you could need or want while on the road.

The food is made fresh and the portions of meat on the sandwiches are huge. Meat isn't cheap.
Most people who have eaten there know paying $6 for a sandwich is worth it
If you'd rather eat a $2 burger sent to a gas station frozen ,that's your prerogative

a couple of years ago I was in houston and saw one off i-10 on my way to baytown I thought it was a actual truck stop place if I can rewind, I woulda stopped there Im mad at myself lol

I’m so confused. When did you actually visit this bucees? I noticed in the beginning they were installing their main sign however I attended their grand opening and it was installed then. I also visit frequently from Cincinnati where I live and have never seen the beaver mascot accept at a grand opening. Hmmm so confused. I was just here and at the seveirville tn grand opening end of June to make a video that I just posted.

I know one thing they don't have, when you are pumping gas and would like to clean your windshield forget it. No squeegee .
The major downside I see is apparently they don't have any tables where you can eat.
It is, "Ale 8", not "Ale 81". A ginger ale, made in Kentucky since appx. 1926. Thank you for the video. I stopped shortly after it opened, wall to wall people, just used the facilities and left. All of the gas pumps were being used.

I have said to the company that owns Buc-ee’s that they need to come out west to California and I have said what places certainly need them and where they will be very successful at.
Even if the company is very anti California, still this is certainly a huge market that they can’t avoid forever.
Places are Blythe, California where the I-10 runs through there. Barstow where the I-15, I-40, and state highway 58 meet, Palm Springs as the area gets lots of vehicular traffic through that area, Arvin, California where the I-5 goes by there, a few outside of Los Angeles, one outside of Fresno, California near state Highway 99, Sacramento, the state capital of California, a few outside of the San Francisco Bay Area, and a few along US Highway 101 that goes along the California coast.
They need to be careful if too many are built it won’t be a tourist attraction
Okay, but they can start out with a few and see how successful they are and then add more as needed.

I am not a trucker nor do I personally know a trucker. Buc-ee's could give out free food and I would not go there. Their policy of no truckers is insane, unreasonable, and what type of vehicle delivers their store stock? Also what type of vehicle delivers almost everything you bring to your house. Why screw the truckers? Without these truckers our great nation would be totally broken, empty shelves and out of control prices. This is how we show thanks to these people? Buc-ee's has plenty of property and money to accommodate truckers instead of showing their middle finger to them.
I don't understand why they don't allow truckers either. Wow....
