Living in Colorado, I guess I’m going to have to wait until 2024, but it will be a nice change from all the boring gas stations. Looking forward to it!
The only problem I have with Buc-ee's is that if you're on a road trip and just want to make a quick stop, hit the bathroom, grab some drinks and fill up it takes way too long. Just dealing with the traffic and crowds eats up time that you don't lose at smaller places. On the other hand, we live near one and sometimes I just stop by to get a sandwich and shop a little if I'm not trying to get anywhere. They always have some interesting snacks and food.
I think a lot more of Buc-ee's than I do of this report, with its mixed-up facts and stock footage of cigarette cartons on a shelf with prices prominently posted in EUROS at 13:23 ! 🤣
I got to respond to Houston when hurricane Harvey rolled through. We had to take shelter at a Buckies when the highway was flooded. The manager and several employees used a row boat to come in and open the store and fed us for free. Amazing people
Was the water all the way to your knees that must have been so hard for you to deal with. Sitting in a safe place with free food how did u manage.I'm surprised you don't have PTSD from that traumatic event.
Buc-ees was a weird coincidence I stumbled upon at 2 a.m. on a long drive to Florida. While my mom was driving, I used gas buddies to locate the cheapest gas and it was 10-20 cents cheaper than everything around it. Because of previous adventures, we joked that it was probably some backwater mom and pop shop that only did cash. We kept our hopes low and approached cautiously. Did not expect to see a massive storefront surrounded by hundreds of pumps. Even at those dead hours, they had a relatively good flow of customers. It was amazing.
I live in TX and there is a insane amount of love for Buc-ees here. Well deserved too. They also have their own soda brand and if I could I would buy their Rootbeer by the truck load.
@Virginia Kingsford, as a connoisseur of food and beverages, with a liking for soft drinks, including another fine beverage of your state in Dr. Pepper, what do the various soft drinks of Buc-ee's taste like, out of curiosity? Please enlighten this person that has, unfortunately, not been able to be in your state since 1995. Thank you.
@@TexasCountryLiving , this would be their response to you, which says, "Sugar free things ironically will kill you worse than sugar. Moreover, bodies need sugar in order to survive, as there is also such a thing as hypoglycemia. There is also a form of diabetes that is called Type I Diabetes that happens to people that have too little sugar in their bodies. When a body is deprived of sugar, it can also possibly cause anemia as well. Finally, there are a lot of so-called "healthy foods" that ironically have a lot of sugar in them as well. Bodies need sugar, not only to function, but also to stay alive".
It's hard to be excited about a gas station, but once you have been to a Buc-ee's, that changes. I just want thank the nation of Texas for lending your treasure to some of the rest of us. We have two in Florida (Daytona and St Augustine) and wanting one closer to me (Orlando).
@@jimmystrickland1034 I frequent WaWa since they are all over Orlando (mainly for smoothies and soup). While I really like them, I prefer Buc-ees for all the other stuff and it is decent place to take a break. Loves are hit or miss, nothing remotely close to a Buc-ees. Next favorite is the Busy Bee in Live Oak, Florida. Then the newer WaWas, then Flying J (nicer ones). Just personal preference.
Visited Texas this summer and these places are incredible. They are absolutely massive! Huge meat counters with so much jerky. Amount of snacks is ridiculous. They have literally everything. Go if you get the chance!!
The New Braunfels location is between San Antonio and Austin. Austin is just an hour away whereas Houston is three hours away. I don’t know why you would use that for reference.
Buc ee’s was paying their employees well above wages everywhere else around them, before it was popular many years ago. That’s one of the reasons I always liked it… A business owner that takes care of his employees, deserves to have success.
Stories that I’ve heard from people that have worked there it actually isn’t as great as many think, starting with the fact that employees get only one 5 minute break during a shift or as they call it a “5 minute lunch” in which they can’t even sit or use their phone while on fucking break! On break! And not just that when employees clock out they have to wait until they leave the premises completely to use their phones and they prohibit tattoos and colored hair which surprises me considering that fact that they are a gas station convenience store and based on the type merchandise they sell and demographic they appeal to it surprises me they have these kind of rules and policies for employees which i think is outdated and stupid and from what I’ve heard they overall treat employees like shit, i even heard a story about them firing an employee for smoking in his car ON HIS DAY OFF! HIS DAY OFF!!!! You don’t even need to be on the clock or on shift to get fired for doing non work related things on your DAY OFF!!! If you drive to the premises and they use the $15/$17 or $18 the hour pay as an excuse to treat people in such way, funny how they pull the $15 excuse like they are the only place that pays that salary when there are a thousand other places that pay the same who have the same benefits idk why they think they are special or think they can fool people and worst of all they get away with breaking so many employment laws so i would do research and maybe look for videos made by former employees sharing their experiences and think it through before making a decision that could possibly leave one with Job PTSD. And I forgot to mention no break rooms either. They are a prison
I work for bucees, and although you are paid well, you arent taken care of, they don’t care if you are living in your car, if you’re sick, if you’re family is sick, they invest in bodies not people, we are made to work 6 to 7 days straight without overtime pay, we get a 20 minute break for our 8 hour shift, unsafe work conditions, I’ve had coworkers pass out and you’ll see the management put their hands in their pockets and walk away, they will fire you for being sick for to long, they don’t care about their employees they care about having employees. Bucees is the worst company I’ve ever worked for
@@crscott9908 It’s true. You get a five minute “moment”. No place to sit. You are paid well for a reason. Moral is if you like Bucees, don’t work for Bucees.
@@crscott9908 It's 100% true. When they call you to set up an interview the very first question out of their mouth is are you ok with not ever taking a lunch break.
I 💕💕 Buc-ee’s! I live in SC and we got our first one finally on I-95! I’ve stopped by 2 times now. It was full both times! Was going to stop by a third time but the car line to go in was just too long! They do have the best restrooms and their pulled pork sandwich is fantastic. Welcome to SC Buc-ee’s!
I guess the new Buc-ee's in Florence, South Carolina, will take away much of the remaining business from South of the Border for people driving on Route 95 as a travel destination for gas, snacks, and souvenirs. They are only about 30 miles apart.
I have been to several Texas stores and the Alabama store in years past. I visited the Florence store a few weeks ago on a Sunday and my God it was packed door to door wall to wall, I could barely move, bumping shoulders,‘I’m pretty sure it was more than fire dose allowed, insane. The brisket was still on point though, love it ! I live in North Carolina and the idiot townspeople of Efland, NC didn’t want Buc’ees to build there so they scrapped the plans. Broke my heart.
@@MatthewGlenn26196 It will stay that way for a while. The ones in GA were packed like that for months after opening and were packed again during the summer travel season.
Went to the Florence, SC location last weekend on Labor Day. The rain was terrible and everyone was getting off i-95 to avoid it and stay at buccess. It was the longest I’ve ever waited to get into a gas station, 45 minutes in a line of over 500 cars just to get some incredible buccess brisket sandwiches! The line was all the way to the highway exit. It was the most chaotic thing I’ve ever seen in my life but man was it worth it!
I had my first Buc-ee's experience last week. Besides all the bigness in the video, the thing that struck me was the buzz in the store. The place is loud. The hum and murmur from the crowd was closer to a theme park or transportation terminal than a retail store. It was actually exciting!
I would love for a Buc-ee's to eventually have one of their stores to also cater to truckers as well, or at least make a sister chain of stores that catered to truckers.
Buc-ee's always reminded me of like a "Costco's Wholesale". Minus the membership and and bigger auto department. If Exxon Mobile and Costco's had a kid it would be Buc-ee's.
If Bucc-ees is going to be on the way on a roadtrip we make it a destination. You know the restrooms are clean, gas is cheaper, shopping around is fun, and plenty of great food to choose from.
You only have to go to Buc-ee's once to make it a mainstay for traveling. Cheaper gas, clean bathrooms and food. Being able to stretch and move in a positive atmosphere is a welcomed relief.
When I’m traveling I look forward to going to Buc-ees-The people are so friendly the restrooms are so clean! When I saw it in my state I said you better not mess up you better keep the integrity!😊
I lived across the street from Jim Anderson who owned a Texaco station in Freeport Texas where we lived. Jim sold his station to Beaver Applin and that became one of the first Bucees'. My wife went to high school with him. Bucees, is the #1 convenience store in the nation hands down.
i remember stopping at that Buccee's in the early or mid 80s every time we went surf fishing on Surfside beach. I think of those trips as a kid with my Dad, sister, and our friends every time I go to a Bucee's now. Which by the way is about 3 or 4 times a week! Their brand of root beer is THE BEST! I'm so proud to be a Texan.
I thought the first one was between Brazoria and Lake Jackson. Just outside of Lake Jackson. I remember in 1985 going to one in that location. Was there another one as well?
As a guy from New Jersey who had to drive from Houston to Corpus Christi for work, I had never heard of it but was oddly compelled to stop at one. Loved it. I’ve always enjoyed my visits to Texas.
I visit Buc-ees everytime visiting my family in Buda. I actually use a larger suitcase so I have room for nuggets, Texas tshirts, and other misc items that are distinctly Texas.
Our whole family loves you Buc-ees! 🤩keep up the good work. We don't even mind if you share this Texan goodness with other states! Just remember where you're from! Just stay away from building water parks!!!
Florence, South Carolina, i95 north, already has a buc'ess. I saw it coming from Columbia to visit family in the Florence area and was genuinely confused. I thought it was another home improvement store due to the beaver mascot and how beavers build dams, lol. I'm going back next week to visit it next time and try out their foods. I'm super excited!
Try the brisket sandwich! If you like bbq it’s going to shock you! Best brisket and pulled pork sandwiches in the game! I bought 4 so I could have some later for dinner lol $7.00 each I think but they’re massive and worth it! Also really fresh
I have been to the one in Tennessee and boy was it huge. I have also been to one in Alabama and the Tennessee location blows it out of the water. But I understand the size of it now and it most definitely understand how it has a huge fan base. I admit I actually became a fan of it because of the chopped brisket sandwich it’s the best brisket I ever had. If anyone travels to one it’s definitely worth the trip.
Bucee's also has the world's largest car wash. It is about 30 miles west of downtown Houston in Katy, Texas. Over 250 feet long. My kids and I make the drive once a month to go through. Worth the 16 bucks!
@@MrTaylorfenoglio what do you mean? The original poster said the one he went to in Alabama was smaller. There are 2 in Alabama and they are both smaller than the average Bucees we have here in Texas and definitely smaller than the Tennessee one.
Prior to their Grand Opening, the new Crossville, TN store invited all 1st responders, dispatchers and city/county government in to see the store and gave out free food, drinks and snacks. Best BBQ Brisket sandwiches ever!
Excellent marketing strategy to get city departments to set up contracts with them for refueling city department vehicles! Make the employees hound thier bosses for the switch for awesome food options 👍
Mr.bucees is great friends with the gov of texas so yea he gets a lot of perks. here in bastrop when ever there is a power outage the store always has power when the city needs it bucees come first.
We live an hour from buccees and go often when we go to Houston. Yet it never gets old. They carry seasonal merchandise and just lots of fun shopping items.
I just went to Buc-ee's in Madisonville for the first time ever last week. I had only heard about it a couple weeks prior on UA-cam. The pulled pork is quite literally TO DIE FOR! I'm from KC. I heard they're building a new one in Springfield, Missouri. Exciting!
When I first moved to Texas, I just happened to move to Lake Jackson. I took Buccees for granted. I was just used to going there every morning for breakfast tacos and a fountain coke (side note, they have the best ice that makes the coke taste so much better). Now that I live in Conroe, I sure do miss having them close by.
@Marty's 4x4 Back in the early 2000's, I worked at Lowe's in Sevierville. Every day we would have a few people stop and ask if they were in "Seever"ville.
As a Kansas boy born and raised, when I flew down to meet my now wife's family we stopped off at one. That was my one demand. I was not disappointed. That place is so cool! Sure kinda pricey but it's still awesome.
They finally broke ground on the one in Tennessee! We pass it fairly often because we live down the road! They have the road paved and built and finally broke ground on the Buc-ee’s
@@daniliberty5570 Stopped at the one in Crossville. That store had to be 60,000 Sq. Ft. plus! It was a good experience and...you cant go wrong with a Brisquet sammich.
I traveled for over 45 years. Buc ees is the best by leaps and bounds. Great breakfast tacos . Pie.. Clean restrooms . And they pay their employees very well.
We live fairly close to the Katy, TX location. Great for short "trips" away from home to grab some snacks, BBQ and drinks. Tried the carwash once on our 2009 Toyota Corolla, it's fine except for the blow dryers, the force of them are so powerful that it ripped some of the rubber trims off of the vehicle. Sounded like we were in a tornado or hurricane.
I live close to the Richmond location it's way smaller than the big Katy location I really like it because it is smaller with less of a crowd. I've never been that impressed with food. Jerky is good though.
My aunt moved to Canada 30 years ago but when my grandma passed she rode with me from Houston to Dallas for the funeral I stopped to refuel at the middle point of the drive in Centerville, TX. She was so impressed she took pictures of the gas station to show all her friends when she got back home that everything is bigger in texas including the gas stations! She was like "if I don't take pictures they won't believe me"... lol
I'm from a tiny town of 1800 people just off I95 in Ga. I'm was shocked, Shocked, we are getting a Buc-ee's and now even more so after seeing this video.
Buc-ees in New Braunfels is between San Antonio and Austin on I-35. If you're driving between San Antonio and Houston you go to the Buc-ees on I-10 in Luling. Truck stops are for truckers.
Stopped at the Alabama location on my way back to FL after a fiber contract in Nola. Had no idea it existed, luckily I had JUST passed a friend moving back to FL and he saw me pull off for gas. He called me and told me get back on the road to head to Bucees that was 7 miles down the road. Said the fuel was about 70 cents cheaper. It was a bait and switch, it was 95 cents cheaper.
Buc-ee's to me is synonymous with well earned good times. None are located between work and me, but they are a mandatory stop when I take my annual beach holiday and go to the eastern Florida Renaissance fairs and the one in Georgia. I'm dreaming about my late Summer Daytona trip right now just thinking about that Beast taco, black cherry soda, and all the snacks I can choose from. They really oughtta build on on I75 in Florida, probably around Ocala, so I can stop on my way to the fairs in Sarasota. Jealous Texans can pound sand. As long as Mr. Buc-ee can employ people without compromising quality, build a Buc-ee's or three in every state!
I live in Louisiana and we aren't mad that Raising Canes and Popeyes ventured outside of Louisiana. I do understand how they feel in Texas because it's like a state having a landmark. You have only one landmark and the only way to see it is by going to that state. So Buc-ees was sort of like a landmark. Want to see Buc-ees then you have to visit Texas and then they spend money in Texas
I stopped at the DB location in November and it was my first visit ever to a Buc-ee's. I noticed the cahier's name badge had night shift manager and I asked if he knew of any more stores planned for Florida besides Daytona and Saint Augustine. He said the plans aren't firm, but they're planning one for Ocala and Fort Lauderdale for 2023. I really wish they'd build one on I-4 between Tampa and Orlando.
I stopped by the South Carolina location on my drive from Florida to Virginia. It was my first Buc-ee's experience. Talk about a lot of people! I loved it!
True fan right here! Always worth the stop. Their bathrooms are exceptionally clean, the food is fresh and delicious and the lines move quickly even when there are a ton of people inside. The best part of any Texas road trip is a Buc-ee’s stop.
To my friends who have never been I always say, "You might ask, how much does it cost to go to Buc-ee's? About $150 an hour. Just try to stay that long and get out of there without spending that much!'
I’ve been to the Buc-ees in GA and the brisket sandwich I had there was really, really good! The store is huge, the bathrooms are nice and clean….I can’t say enough good things about it.
Bucee's is the most magnificent concept in the world.PERIOD....Truck Stops are for Trucks! Bucee's is for 4 Wheeler's! Also, Bucee's has a very warm family friendly atmosphere! PS they have better eye candy too!
I wouldn't say the prices are low. The food is delicious, but quite expensive I remember I got a giant burrito from there and it was like 20 usd. Best burrito I've ever eaten, but also the most expensive. Next, the chips are usually 1 usd more expensive than your average grocery store, but they do have some chips there that I've never seen anywhere else.
I live in Jacksonville, Florida and often host people on their way to Disney. Now people passing through often ask to be taken to Buc-ee's. Buc-ee's has a fan club and I can see whey. They rock!!
Buc-ee's is already open in South Carolina - the Florence, SC location opened in the spring of 2022. Always busy inside, too! As a transplant to Texas for 18 years before returning to my home state of SC, I am happy they opened one here. Now if I can find a time when it isn't too crowded to walk through, I might go inside!
@ Forrest Gump-- I can remember when Pedro at "South of the Border" was very busy back in the 1960's through the 1990's. In the past 15 or so years, every time that I stop at South of the Border, it seems more and more like a ghost town. Unfortunately, the new Buc-ee's in Florence, SC, might be the end of Pedro. 😢😢
I remember growing up in Pearland during the late 90s and early 2000s when Buc-ee's was still largely a Brazoria County thing. Now they've spread to most of Texas and have the world record for largest gas station.
I've grown up around trucks, and my dad was a truck driver for over 30 years. Truck drivers can be very disrespectful to property. Leaving trash and pee bottles in the parking lots, damaging the parking lot, and leaving the restrooms a mess. Of course not all drivers are like that, but way too many are. I wouldn't doubt that's the real reason Buc-ees doesn't build their property for trucks to use.
Not to mention all of the drug dealers who haunt truck stops, and the " lot lizards" and their " managers" that create a less than family friendly atmosphere.
To get everyone happy, Build a Travel Center just for Truckers. Add a Complete Washing place with Shower and clean up plus their own snack bar. I've seen it done in Utah, Nevada and California.
@@tommaika9121 If they did that, people would stay too long and stay parked at the gas pumps too long. Not a good thing at all unless they put some tables way out in the parking lot by the road and build a shade. That way it gets people away from the pumps and the building.
I've been to dozens of Buc-cee's across the state of Texas, and I cannot ever remember seeing the Buc-cee's statue... I guess I'm going to have to look next time for this so-called iconic piece of Texas history LOL
I live in Bucees central of Brazoria county Tx. My local store is a little one without the food and shopping, but I still stop there nearly every day for gas, coffee snacks. Always clean always cheap always friendly. Anytime I travel west to see family I hit one of the big stores for some food.
Buc-ee's is planning to replace the Luling location (built in 2003) and build a store at 75,000-square-feet (1000 square-feet bigger than the next largest location). It will be located next to the existing location and will be their largest location. The current Luling location was the first “family travel center” and so the decision was made to make sure this site was once again the largest location.
@@highping1786 To really build one the size the like to build they would need a rather large chunk of land. I they have 2 as you get closer to Houston in Waller and then Cypress. There is the one is Bastrop too. I think they keep the one in Giddings open since it is so small and tiny. You could put the entire store into the Bathroom at one of the new locations.
the new Buc-ee's that is under contructionare now in Mt Crawford VA is to be over 74,000 ft with 120 gas pumps.. there is scheduled to be a total of 4 BC to be built in VA
Two things. That longest car wash is the longest damage to your cars paint, especially if group of mudders went through ahead. Also any gas station convenience store has idiots leaving their cars at the pumps usually during the busiest times of the day. Not hating it, but that's what happens. The prices and quality of food items is pretty decent for just a 'gas station store'. Also unlike snack brands that give you a bag half full of product, Buc-ees fills them to the top.
Paint starts stripping off after a year in direct sun for more than 16 hours every single day . Is not the carwash fault is just nature destroying everything non organic
Tennesseans are going to love their new Buc-ee's ! Driving from SA to HOU some of my relatives from WIS wanted to stop at the location in Luling. It took 40 minutes to get them to stop shopping so we could get back on the road. They were eating a box of Fudge in the back seat of my cab. They even bought things they hadn't seen in years like: Clove Gum, Mayhaw Jalapeno Jelly, Rock Candy, Golden Nugget Gum. The even went crazy with the selection of Beef Jerky, Slim Jims, and Rock Candy. They wanted so much to be a part of the experience, they bought several items of Buc-ee's merch.
@@elli003 They are going to build the new site adjacent to the existing store. I'm not sure if they're going to utilize any of the existing store or not.
Great that they pay and value their employees so highly. Attention: WalMart! The insistence on clean and big restrooms is also very commendable. They are clearly customer friendly as well. Those are good touches. It is odd, however, that they don't accept truckers. With all their space, it should be easy to build a side lot for 18-wheelers.

It's a great store I love it. Decent prices and usually short wait time. Good atmosphere. It generally is a huge store but to be honest there are small ones too. One of the smallest gas stations I've ever been to was a bucees. Even that little store had way better snacks and was cleaner than any other store.
As a former trucker, I agree with Buc-ees trucker ban... Truckers are gross, and don't clean up after themselves. They ruin pretty much every rest stop they are allowed in. They just dump their trash on the ground and piss all over the parking lot. And don't get me started on how they treat rest rooms...
I heard about Buc-Cees via the internet a few months ago, then an article in a " local " newspaper mentioned that another location was opening 60 miles from where I live...making 2 locations within 60-65 miles. With just a bit of a trip out of my way I tried to visit the closer location, but there was a line to get into the parking lot.
Hi neighbor...I live in the same part of the county...I am old enough to have been a customer in the first BucEEs built on the corner of Oyster Creek Drive and Old Angleton Road.
There is a small Buc-ee's in Eagle Lake, TX that actually is trucker friendly it has truck pumps behind store. I think they just took over a previous store & left the big truck pumps. It's the only location I know of that allows semi trucks.
Little known Buc-ee's fact that this video does not mention - when the Giddings location on Hwy 290 opened in the early 2000s, it had unisex bathrooms. They didn't go over big and were replaced with traditional men's-women's bathrooms in short order.
I stopped at the new store south of Lexington, KY. I've never seen such a sight. The 87 regular was $3.19, the lowest I saw in that state. So many pumps.
Kudos to Buc-ee's. Look forward to giving one a visit. I work in transportation and know first hand what a congested nightmare truck stops can be. Good idea to give the cars somewhere to go to ease this.
@Mike S Cigarettes are fairly priced. They don’t sell blunt skins and/or papers either. Nothing for the weed smokers, expect stuff to satisfy the munchies.
I've stopped at the Buc-ees in Alabama several times. The last time I was there the traffic was so bad and the entire parking lot was complete gridlock. People were cutting in and fights nearly broke out. People with large RV and Travel trailers were blocking the lane and the gas pump lines. We sat in this traffic jam inside the parking lot for "nearly an hour" . At one point a manager came out o look at the situation and shook his head and went back inside. They needed some sort of police traffic control or employees moving people along. Never Again!
I live right near the AL Buc-ees. Traffic is horrible because people park at the gas pumps and go in to shop. Cars have to keep driving around for an open pump. Management needs to put a stop to it! There were two cars with SC tags rearranging stuff in their vehicles at the pump in front of me for 25 minutes. I couldn't get out. I was furious. The PD said its like a Wal-Mart parking lot some days.
I am a Texan, and we have several Buc ee’s that I have visited, the place is the bomb. Everything there is great… They have homemade goodies galore… They even make fudge there. They have their own products… Endless selections of candy nuts and other goodies. Prices are also good. Oh… I almost forgot, the cleanest restrooms you’ve ever been in
Let’s hear from employees. They probably can’t say anything or they will get fired. How about former employees? I hear that the pay is good but they are treated like crap. They have to sign contracts that seem unreasonable. Some of them are not allowed to sit down during breaks and have to be on standby in case they are needed during their break.Their shifts are long and you have to buy your own branded clothing from them.
I want to hear from other Black people. My experience was “What do you want? And followed around the store. This was the one off the expressway heading to Dallas.
Just a side note, but there is ONE location that actually allows (and has diesel pumps for) 18 wheelers - in Eagle Lake, TX. The store itself is relatively small but does have a handful of pumps for 18 wheelers. For the most part, it's just as clean and well run as the rest of them.
I'm definitely inclined to believe they don't want to allow truckers because too many truckers are pigs. It's be nice if they included truckers but fact is too many nasty truckers giving the good ones a bad name
Maybe WALMART lets you sit down and eat the food you purchased .. and allows you to REST in a REST AREA GAS STATION / RESTAURANT !!! WALMART SHALL GET MY BUSINESS
I got to go to one several times in Daytona Beach Florida and really liked it a lot. I'm so glad they are bringing it to my state (SC) and hopefully it will be nearby.
I was a truck driver and I stopped at the location back in 2004 in Luling, Tx. on I-10 just east of San Antonio. They had a couple of spots where you can fit an 18 wheeler on their property that was unpaved near their trash dumpsters. I was sleeping and then there was a knock on the door. I got up only to see a Deputy standing outside. I rolled down my window and asked me if anyone had asked me to leave the property. I told him no and that I had parked there at 03:00 AM. and it was now 08:30 AM. He wanted to see my drivers license and told me that I needed to leave or that I would be charged with trespassing. Well I left and have never been back to any Buc-ee's since. I live in El Paso and even if I am in my private vehicle I won't give them my business. I wonder if a truck delivers their products so they can stay in business? Wellllllll Yessssssssss! Maybe we should boycott them and never deliver any loads to them.
Sounds like that deputy was a real asshole. You shoulda told him to pound sand. He can't solicit a trespass from the property owner and it's obvious nobody from Bucees called him or he wouldn't have asked. Still though, if the place is open when you get there you should ASK them about overnight parking. Especially a semi.
Been a truck driver for 30 years and have no desire to stop at any location in my 4 wheeler. Won't even let you stop to take your federally mandated 30 minute break.
What do you think of Buc-ee's?

I love Buc-ees ❤️ I film the Grand Openings
I got to respond to Houston when hurricane Harvey rolled through. We had to take shelter at a Buckies when the highway was flooded. The manager and several employees used a row boat to come in and open the store and fed us for free. Amazing people

Because a $7.25 employee can get his $1250 pos to work more than you can get your $60,000 Toyota fourrunner back to I45....ya pos
Medicare shouldn't b responsible for insulin when ppl are drinking soda by the truckload.
Request to Buc-ee’s, please add sugar free versions of your sodas.

It's hard to be excited about a gas station, but once you have been to a Buc-ee's, that changes. I just want thank the nation of Texas for lending your treasure to some of the rest of us. We have two in Florida (Daytona and St Augustine) and wanting one closer to me (Orlando).

The New Braunfels location is between San Antonio and Austin. Austin is just an hour away whereas Houston is three hours away. I don’t know why you would use that for reference.
Lol who shit in your cereal
They’re not from around here. I know that the Luling and Katy stores are between San Antonio and Houston.
They were probably thinking of the Shulenburg location....
Came here to say this. I live a few minutes from the NB location and work in Austin.
@@georgeford6439 No. Schulenberg is between san antonio and houston, and does NOT have a buc-ees
Bucees is the worst company I’ve ever worked for
@@sebastiangarrido6573 Quite the imagination you have there.

10 get over it
Went to the Florence, SC location last weekend on Labor Day.
Crazy right... I get used to it.. but I get exactly what you are saying
I would love for a Buc-ee's to eventually have one of their stores to also cater to truckers as well, or at least make a sister chain of stores that catered to truckers.
I walked in one time and they were announcing a lost child for the parents to come get. What other gas station is big enough to lose a child?
Buc-ee's always reminded me of like a "Costco's Wholesale". Minus the membership and and bigger auto department. If Exxon Mobile and Costco's had a kid it would be Buc-ee's.
Lol. I disagree. It was a very lame experience
I used to stop at that store after my shift at BASF.
Good Times!
i remember stopping at that Buccee's in the early or mid 80s every time we went surf fishing on Surfside beach. I think of those trips as a kid with my Dad, sister, and our friends every time I go to a Bucee's now. Which by the way is about 3 or 4 times a week! Their brand of root beer is THE BEST!

I am surprised they haven't built a mid-sized Buc-ees off the N. Grand Pkwy somewhere there, the size of 288 and Hwy 35 Angleton would do.
I'm so glad you said Sevierville, Tennessee right, as a local I hear a lot of people butcher that.

Buc-ee's to me is synonymous with well earned good times.

Buc-ee's is planning to replace the Luling location (built in 2003) and build a store at 75,000-square-feet (1000 square-feet bigger than the next largest location). It will be located next to the existing location and will be their largest location. The current Luling location was the first “family travel center” and so the decision was made to make sure this site was once again the largest location.

the new Buc-ee's that is under contructionare now in Mt Crawford VA is to be over 74,000 ft with 120 gas pumps.. there is scheduled to be a total of 4 BC to be built in VA

@@Quitelongdong As someone who has worked management in retail, unfortunately the pool of applicants isn’t exactly stellar, you have potential n current employees who prefer to not show up, not take pride in their job performance, unreliable, and u have employees who cannot or will not stay off their phones, so please tell me why they deserve top pay? Your entitled to exactly nothing in this life!
As a highly qualified pastry chef I applied for bakery job. I received a call (phone interview) from them the interviewer loved me and was looking forward to bringing me into the team as a manager of bakery counter until....... The question of do I have any visible tattoos ( I have two the size of nickels one on each hand ) she instantly changed tune and said I can no longer join team due to the tattoos (even if I cover) for which the interviewer said "the owners doesn't want employees with tattoos that if even one person seen the tattoo on accident you will be terminated on the spot.".
@@Jessicafreeman8369 It’s there Company, there rules! While I may not be a fan of their stance on tats, I respect it! You have a right to choose what I put on ur body, but they have a right to not hire people who have tats!
It's a great store I love it. Decent prices and usually short wait time. Good atmosphere. It generally is a huge store but to be honest there are small ones too. One of the smallest gas stations I've ever been to was a bucees. Even that little store had way better snacks and was cleaner than any other store.
Don't blame you for the truck ban. We kinda suck... Unless you need stuff to sell. Then trucks are awesome.
We Love Buc-ee's! Stop there every time we pass through! Turned into a tradition now!
Not to mention that they are all meth heads
Worked at the Terrell Texas location for two years and loved it! Fun place to work and it paid well. I will go back again at some point.
Darn, hope you are able to go there at some point.
At any given time, I'm usually about 5 days between Buccees sliced brisket sandwiches....either just had one or will be getting another soon.
Belive it or not, I live down the road from Aplin in Lake Jackson farms. Really nice guy!
I live in Lake Jackson as well. Drove past Aplins house all the time while delivering pizzas. One of my good friends helped build his house.
Hi neighbor...I live in the same part of the county...I am old enough to have been a customer in the first BucEEs built on the corner of Oyster Creek Drive and Old Angleton Road.
@@theirmom4723 I still go to that store at least a few days a week
a light to tell u when the washroom is free lol .....guy in the security room at the other end of the possible toilet cam: ok we are green again haha
“Brisket on the table!”
“Sauce on the table!”
You can never gone wrong with any of their brisket choices
Its "FRESH BRISKET ON THE BOARD!" Not the table😐
Always very clean! Choice of seven or more types of fudge is fun to try. Their menu is wide and fresh.ts welcome and area lighted.
I live near that location. It is a tiny dump compared to the others.
I disagree with their policy. I see if truck drivers leave trash all over the place and pee bottles.
The fudge is incredible!
Another great thing about Buc-ee’s is that they do not sell lottery tickets or cash pay roll checks. That weeds out a lot of riff raff.
@Mike S Cigarettes are fairly priced. They don’t sell blunt skins and/or papers either. Nothing for the weed smokers, expect stuff to satisfy the munchies.
Daily stop before work for me as it is right next to my job. Most of us techs roll through daily for gas, food, clothes
Even when vehicles park at the gas pumps and go inside, it's still enough pumps for others to use so that's really not an issue lol
I know, right! WTH was that person talking about?
@Mike S or just wait 30 seconds for someone to leave a pump open?
I have to Buc-ee’s a bunch in GA and FL… never in TX
I've stopped at the Buc-ees in Alabama several times. The last time I was there the traffic was so bad and the entire parking lot was complete gridlock. People were cutting in and fights nearly broke out. People with large RV and Travel trailers were blocking the lane and the gas pump lines. We sat in this traffic jam inside the parking lot for "nearly an hour" . At one point a manager came out o look at the situation and shook his head and went back inside. They needed some sort of police traffic control or employees moving people along.
Never Again!
Live near that Bucks and it’s no better in the beach off season. We always go at night when it’s dialed down a bit and can still get fresh, hot foods.
We don’t do that at Texas Buccees🤣🤣. We already know
That sounds absolutely terrible. A real nightmare.
Can you imagine how bad it would be if they sold state lottery crap.
Need to bring a store in the Charlotte -Mooresville areas in N.C. to give Walmart some competition!
They would just find another outfit to deliver their goods. I'm with you on not going to buc-ee's.
