Well, I read they performed together somewhere in 2008. This video clip was from a TV show called Town Hall Party, probably aired around 1958. "This boy" was born the same year as Rudy Giuliani, Gary Busey, Jimmy Page and Diana Ross...just to put it into perspective. I recently discovered The Collins Kids myself (while searching for 1950's Johnny Cash performances), and I'm AMAZED that I had never heard of them!!

Larry would grow up to become a producer. Funny thing was, most country stations and the Opry did not like rockabilly. However, most country fans heard it from The Collins Kids - for whatever reason no one seemed to mind when they played it!
I don't know much about him but I'm really glad that he didn't get sucked into the corporate music scene as deeply as his contemporaries. No dying on the john for him. Just awesome
No, he didn’t become a corporate puppet-instead, for one so incredibly talented (unfortunately whose ADD-like stage antics detracted from his beautiful sister) he peaked at age 14, and with the weird, mis-management of old crow-Mitch Miller, then headed downwards. He wrote a few songs before an anti-climactic career-death playing small clubs and being virtually unknown until a collector located these old videos and posted them on UA-cam. (BTW, Presley deserves some respect).

You're right- Ricky Nelson's first marriage failed. He said in a recorded interview "I should have married Lorrie Collins." It seems Ricky's mother, Harriet, was against him playing Rockabilly like the Collins Kids, so they never visited the Nelson home- Ricky often came over to their house.

A poor choice of stage name. Very uncool. What teenager would want to be seen screaming at the Collins “Kids”?
