Well that and the people who use stimpacks in the midst of a firefight are probably so hyped up on an adrenaline rush that any notion of pain just does not register in the human body.

When you finished talking about Turbo with the words "why do we have so much Jet", I chuckled and thought of the Jet derivate Rushing Water, one of my favorite New Vegas craftables for my current explosive/melee build
So for the whole amphetamines for people with adhd thing here's how it works. Individuals with ADHD usually have lower levels of dopamine, which is a chemical released in the brain that makes you feel good. This lack of dopamine causes people with ADHD to constantly seek stimulation. Adderall works by increasing levels of dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine, thus bringing the brain from a state of overstimulation to a normal state of stimulation.
18:13 as an added point for that, in high doses, stimulants can cause side effects like seizures and memory issues akin to dementia after ceasing its use. I know this personally because its actually happened to me.

Def agree with most of these but ive thought psycho closer to pcp. While it could be similar to amphetamines i think pcp is more fitting. Agression, damage resistance but it doesnt increase your perception/intelligence or agility. It just makes you not care about the pain and i take the damage increase as losing finer motor control, not being able to properly pull punches, always using all your strength. Those things are pretty similar to the dissociative properties of pcp.
Med-x, Mentats, and hydra are completely fine. Why do you think pain killers shouldn't be used? Would you NOT take painkillers if you broke a leg or something?
Cuz the game gives you -1 agility if you take too many Also look at what happened to dr mobius after too many mentats or joana after getting hooked on med-x
@@ijneb1248 that's because he's a brain in a weird advanced jar, Mentats are fine in normal circumstances, and infact they make children who have them, permanently smarter. I can't remember any instances where becoming a Ghoul lent itself to being able to regenerate limbs without external intervention. It's even shown that Cooper needed to sew his finger back on. Super Mutants can't regenerate limbs, either, they're just more damage resistant. We saw Thaddeus very briefly after having taken the chem, and he was alerted to his new bodily state right before a quick departure.
