When playing against my friend in a 1v1 race , he Silver tried to attack me. He ended up hitting me as a homerun , across the map. Instantly bypassing 90% of the map and of course I win the race. Never have I cried so much of laughter.

And so it begins...
Our hero, Scykoh, turns his back on us and slowly walk towards the sunset, to begin his quest to find, perform and record all glitches in Sonic 06. Some cried. Some could only stand staring at his back in awe, admiring his determination. Some laughed at his stupidity. But everyone only had one question in mind: Will he ever be able to complete this quest and return safely? No one knows. Not even Scykoh himself. Perhaps not even God.
It's a long journey of solitude. A path none dared to travel. As our brave hero disappear down the hill along with the sun, we can only pray.

It's one thing to defeat a dragon alone at level 1, with a wooden sword and no armor, and not take any damage, in addition to helping everyone in the way, it's another to try to achieve the same while carving your name on every rock you find on the way.

If silver throws you out of bounds during the first fight and if you stand on a certain height, he will try jumping and since Silver has a higher jump, he will actually jump out of bounds and follow you. You can then run around a half loaded city with silver constantly following you. If he falls in the water he just spawns back on land because *HE IS GOD*

The Silver glitch actually holds astounding implications about the game, and explains why the game has such horrendous load times (if you didn't previously know).
The issue with the game is that, for whatever bizarre reason, it deems it necessary to load the entirety of the game whenever you go through a cutscene, or activate a quest flag, or whatever. So for an example:
You start up Sonic 06, it spends 15-20 seconds rendering all of Soleanna, it's people, etc. Not too bad, right? Then you talk to a guy and get a quest...and it spends 15-20 seconds loading a 2 sentence cutscene. What happened is that the game reloaded ALL of Soleanna, all of the buildings, graphics, textures, even nearby people...just with the targeted NPC with his quest related text lines.
So now? The game spends ANOTHER 15-20 seconds loading, and you guessed it, because the game is now reloading all of Soleanna for a THIRD BLOODY TIME, now with the quest related objects (enemies, rings, whatever) added to the game.
This is MONUMENTALLY bad game design. I just can't even fathom it.
Oh, and thanks for the video Scykoh. Can't wait until you get to Silver's part. That's when the game REALLY starts breaking to pieces. Telepathy just couldn't be playtested, could it?
Well, and those freaking enemies, boxes and other crud are STILL just appearing out of nowhere.

They had to meet a deadline that was strict. Otherwise, they threatened to not release their game at all.
***** Considering this game was a anniversary title (15th) the game was made a strict deadline to be released or not at all. This will make a lot of sonic fans lose interest as the titles wouldn't rain in as much. SEGA at this time didn't have the money or time to lose the game opportunity. And also the fans rushed the release upon all of that.

A quest is something you generally undertake to achieve something, he just booted up the game and they were thrown at him and it was a party. In his Pokemon Glitchquest videos, he had to do specific things for each glitch, not the case in these videos.

Just a heads up for everyone: the difference between Glitchfest and Glitch Quest is that Glitch Quest has a specific goal to accomplish in the long run. For example, the first Glitch Quest I did the goal was to eventually beat the game. In Glitchfest, there is no goal other than just showing a compilation of glitches. In future Glitch Quests I'll probably more specifically point out the "Quests" and maybe even show a running quest log, to help distinguish between "Glitchfest' and "Glitch Quest"

Was this happening because his disc was all banged up? Or just because the game was poorly put together?
Mostly the latter, but some of the things (like the cutscene lag) was because of the disc.
Both. The game runs shitty normally, but the beat-up disk doesn't exactly help.

@@Classic_Sonic568 what happened was half of the team working on this were taken to work on sonic and the secret rings but the deadline was still set for sonic 06 so when the deadline was reached they stopped development and released sonic 06, so the sonic 06 that was released was an unfinished version
I was hoping to see if the Homing Attack would screw up during the Egg Cerberus fight and you get launched into space at blistering speeds. I saw that happen in someone's LP and I nearly died laughing. 😂

8:58 Actually, if you wait long enough, the game will auto-kill you for exceeding the space that the game can push you through. In fact when he finally falls it looks like he's falling into a black hole. It's pretty awesome.

The stop signs in Soleanna forest were likely a result of the game loading parts of the city, as the level as accessed way earlier than intended, so it loaded the city' stop sign assets, and that's most likely why Soleanna forest was full of stop signs.

No, he sadly doesn't. He is stuck in a black hole waiting for the game to be re opened but the pain of Mario not controlling him had gotten to him and he finally just gave up on ever getting the fruit back.

This is awesome! I can watch Scykoh all day tomorrow! I got my wisdom teeth out, and the only thing better than seeing angels after waking up then telling my mom that she has a light switch head, is Scykoh.

While I hated the gameplay, I did like the story. It was interesting. However, I heard that Sega fired their bugging team before this game hit the shelves. I bet if they didn't rush the game making and bugging process, it would have been more enjoyable to play.
To be honest, being unable to lose lives in the hub worlds can be considered an unintended blessing. I remember when TheRunawayGuys played Sonic Adventure, and they got a GAME OVER because they fell through the tiny, almost negligible space between a the raft that takes you to the sunken Egg Carrier and the small dock under Mystic Ruin's rail station that you board it at. ProtonJon was...quite livid, to say the least.

The glitches are out of control, yeah, I can see that. But if you know where they are and how you can avoid them it's fine. Also, did you know that there IS a glitch in Wave Ocean? When you go up the ramp at the end of the speed section, if you don't take it JUST RIGHT.. It will launch you into the ocean and you die.

Fun fact: I don’t experience as many glitches when playing normally as I expected, but there were two glitches I remember occurring out of nowhere:
-When playing Wave Ocean on PS3, I once hit a spring that was supposed to take me to another spring and then a rail, but instead was sent flying so high that I went into a void because the background only exists for so high, before plummeting back down and ending up out of bounds.
-Another time on the 360 version (I sold the PS3 version and got the 360 version for some reason), I was fighting Egg Cerberus and everything was normal, but then for some reason, I jumped onto the rail thing on him and then launched so far into the air that it looked as if the entire universe imploded onto itself and I was worried that I would have to quit and play it again, but then the boss started again as if I died, which I guess I did.
There were other glitches, but I went out of my way to do them, although they weren’t too hard. Honestly, causing these glitches is a lot of fun for me, and probably the only fun I had with this game.

I remember when I used to stand on top of that box and do the bound jump. Then Silver would throw you into space and as soon as you get up to the sun level, you would die and begin falling down. I also remember the first time I got a game over, I was sent all the way back to the beginning and 10 year old me was not very happy about that, since I never got sent all the way to the beginning in any other game.🤣

I’ve played this game back and forth since I got it in 2008 when the ps3 was thicc, The only glitches I had were the loading screen being too long and sonic flying to his death in the mach speed sections once every blue moon.
I know people will slap me for this but Sonic 06 is my favorite sonic game (and game). It's because of the glitches it's my favorite.
