I found some of these glitches unintentionally. Just casually playing through the game and finding random glitches. Every glitch I encountered in a game was completely unintentional. (I didn't even know how they happened until this video came out.)
Cool glitches, but you forgot one awesome glitch in the normal chao garden on the Gamecube version. Using Sonic or Shadow, there's a spot on the far left of the rocks (facing right from the entrance) that you can clip through that results in the character being in a strange floating state that allows you to travel far out of the garden. I played that game for way too long when I was younger so I found that one out myself.

applesgosh None of you are alone. I've definitely spent too much time of my life floating through that mountain way in the background. Although, I did it in the Dark Garden, not the Normal Garden.
applesgosh Also in the gamecube version you can clone chao with a gameboy advance and two memory cards. Connect a gameboy advance without a game in it, and drop your chao off. It will make a duplicate on your GBA, while your chao on the gamecube is returned. Move the Gamecube chao to the other memory card, and return your GBA chao to the current memory card. Congratulations, you've cloned a chao! Since this can't be done on any other version I imagine it won't be appended here, so enjoy comment readers! (If you still own the gamecube version and never knew this. :v)

I'm familiar with plenty of games, but I know (and love) Chrono Trigger from top to bottom. I've beaten it more times than I can count and I honestly claim to be able to find every single thing in the game purely from memory. I'm just utterly amazed that someone actually found out about the test stage glitches. Like, how? When A+ was explaining it, it sounded like one of those made up "how to obtain Luigi in Super Mario 64" unlocks but, wow - it was real! Great work.
An accidental glitch I found, was while playing with my brother on SA2 Battle mode, I was playing as Metal Sonic, I used the black shield while going down a slope in green forest, I fell through the floor because of the momentum I had built.
A glitch I found also involves metal sonic and green forest. If metal sonic uses black diamond the second the level starts, he falls through the ground and just keeps falling for ever. The other player in the match will only be able to use their time stop moves, no other moves. Not sure why.
Something similar to the Knuckles spastic legs thing that I noticed in the Steam port of the game is that when you're climbing on a wall as Rouge, and you angle the camera so that you can see her face, her pupils will occasionally start resting horizontally instead of vertically. It made for some great screenshots, that's for sure
One of my favorite glitches from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was in the vs. mode. If you do the pyramid grind race before entering the pyramid you can jump off and with enough momentum run up the side and completely off of it running on air, if you go far enough you can reach the beginning of the race where the platform is.
Dear A+Start, After a recommendation on a Sycho glitchquest video, I looked you up and bingewatched all of your Son of Glitch videos in two days. They're really, really good. Your accent is awesome, (and I like that you pronounce Yoshi the American way now because that annoyed me in early videos.) the pacing is great, you're really enthusiastic and obviously put lots of work into performing all the glitches. I hope you become really famous one day, honestly. Best of luck to you~ (Oh, and would you consider doing some of the later gen Pokemon games? I don't know much about Gen II, but Gen III has the Pomeg glitch and all its exploitations, and Gen IV has the tweaking and void glitch. I hope you'll look them up and consider them~)

As a teenager, I found out the cannon core timestop glitch all by myself. I was kinda proud of myself :3 it also was the only way for me to actually A Rank the stage.
You can only enter the test stage as Sonic in steam versions even though it uses 16:9 it sends you to the chao world, but the chao key glitch is still activated so you can perform the chao key glitch just complete a 2p stage first
I remember a hole in the collision in the neutral chaos garden. Well not really a hole, but more like a glitch? On the left of the rocky section, where the edge of the garden meet with the rock and the ground, try homing attack while pressing up on the left stick. Do that in repeat, and eventually, you get pass the boundary, stuck between two states of height. Very epilleptical, but you can now see the garden from the other side of the sky box to discover there's nothing beyond. This makes all the chaos in the garden to drop into the floor, and swim/drown as if the water in the fountain was all over the place, but underground. It's 100% useless, but funny.
I've actually encountered the infinite animal and Chaos Drive on accident years ago which I thought at the time that I broke the game, I'm glad that I noticed the glitch and I did use it a few times though it was hard to get the correct distance to do this glitch on repeat
HUD is a means of words on a game screen. HUD is the guide on screen, for example, in a Sonic game, when you need to know how many Emerald pieces are left, the HUD is on the screen.
Currently playing Sonic Adventure 2 on Steam, & rings collecting is so very tedious...I've got the GC version, too & know a ring glitch on that version that doesn't really work on the PC version, it seems... This infinite ring glitch well save me a lot of time, thanking you "A+Start". I'm already subbed to you, so I guess the next best thing is a like to said video. =) *Done.*
They fixed some bugs but not most of these. The infinite ring glitch is easier since it'll autosave the game file at some point, but still not the Chao Garden data, so you can skip a step; I'd imagine they were trying to fix this glitch and just utterly failed to understand the problem. Most of these AFAIK are ones that work on even more recent ports than SA2, which is being used to demonstrate, so...
Using some mods (Super skins, but I have cheats on too and those may cause it) you can try exiting it, but instead be brought to a blank void where whatever character you are using will fall endlessly.
+Kaynex I get the most expensive item I can buy, save properly, leave, come back, do the glitch repeatedly until I can afford another expensive item, restart to get my item back, buy another one, save properly, come back and sell both items, restart, and I get profit from both items with only one restart. Rinse and repeat.
Wait, wait, wait, you mean there is a way to use the chao drives infinitely? So I have wasted hours of my life collecting more and more of them to boost my chaos stats? Well, that's a good thing to know; can't wait to try it out myself. Thanks a lot :)
And there is also another weird thing that Knuckles does while holding something in the chao garden and walking over a little bump on the ground. He starts to twist his hands weirdly. Freaking creeped me out as a child to the point of never using Knuckles in the Chao garden again xD
On two player race mode, if you perform speed up and grab a speed shoe capsule after, you will have unlimited speed! Restart the stage and the speed will remain and if you Try the glitch again the speed will double! Everytime you try this after restarting the stage, the speed will increase. I got sonic to go so fast that he would hit an invisible wall if he ran too fast. I have never seen anyone mention this glitch and i think i have officially discovered it.
There's a glitch in 2 player mode my friend and I once learned by accident. If you use Chaos Control or Time Stop at the exact moment that the script of the other player's board is supposed to separate from them, it'll overwrite the script that separates the character from the board, allowing the player to board around City Escape until you get to the loop to go down the building. The only way to get off of the board is to take damage or die by falling into a bottomless pit. Dash panels don't remove the board from the character either so you can do insane jumps in areas you shouldn't be able to.
i just found a voice glitch (not sure if anyone discovered before me) steps 1: enter any stage that starts with dialogue e.g city escape 2: either die( if you have not hit a checkpoint) or restart the stage 3:when you can pause and restart before the dialouge happens 4: repeat as much as you want 5: the voices will overlap by the amount of times you restarted
If you stand in the plant on the bottom rock in chao world and homing attack furiously, see what happens after a few times. And make sure you keep moving away from the world. come back and the chao will be screwed up.
+Andrew Bowers They clip through the ground and swim under ground. If they are below a lower part of the ground (the bottom of the hill near the water or in the water), you can pick them up out of the water.

I did the test room glitch by accident as Eggman on Cosmic Wall. I noticed the Chao key was different but i played the level without dying. I was really surprised finding it after watching the video again
There's also 2 more Chao garden glitches I discovered with my brother. The first one makes the animal glitch far easier. Take your Chao to the hero garden and place it up against any area on the fallen column on the left of the entrance. The Chao will be stuck in that one spot so you won't have to worry about it moving around and messing you up. The Chao can only get out if it rolls (the ability given by the seal), if it skips toward you (if it loves you), or you pick it up. The second glitch is in the dark garden.
The second glitch is in the dark garden. Go to the right side against the GBA and go up against it and the wall. Face the GBA and SLOWLY walk towards it. You will notice that you'll be automatically moving towards the wall. Keep walking until you get behind the GBA. Walk towards the wall and you'll go right through it. You can explore the background along with going through the mountain in the distance. Return by going towards either of the 2 ledges. When you return, the Chao in the garden will be almost entirely underground except for the top of their heads poking out. You can return them to normal by exiting the garden and entering it again
It doesn't work on Dreamcast, PC and Xbox 360 versions. You can do the test stage glitch in the PS3 version and you need Gameshark to access it on the Gamecube version!
+Zhennexus It works on every version other than the Dreamcast version. There's even a note at the bottom of the video in that part expressing that exactly.
For the infinite ring glitch on Gamecube, you are unable to do it this way as you can only select continue or exit in the pause menu. You can still do it though, it's actually quicker and a little easier. - Just sell an item to the black market, press back to get out of the black market, and then reset the game (you may be able to reset by pressing R+Z+START, depending on what you're playing on). The game automatically saves your ring count but the data from anything else in the chao gardens only gets saved when you exit chao world normally. Just remember not to exit chao world after selling your item, you have to reset or else the item will be gone.

The ring glitch is super easy in the gamecube version. Just press the reset button in the middle of the cha-ching.
+Kaynex I get the most expensive item I can buy, save properly, leave, come back, do the glitch repeatedly until I can afford another expensive item, restart to get my item back, buy another one, save properly, come back and sell both items, restart, and I get profit from both items with only one restart. Rinse and repeat.

The ring glitch and raising chao until it gets the stat you want via reseting is SUPER annoying on xbox.

And there is also another weird thing that Knuckles does while holding something in the chao garden and walking over a little bump on the ground. He starts to twist his hands weirdly. Freaking creeped me out as a child to the point of never using Knuckles in the Chao garden again xD

On two player race mode, if you perform speed up and grab a speed shoe capsule after, you will have unlimited speed! Restart the stage and the speed will remain and if you Try the glitch again the speed will double! Everytime you try this after restarting the stage, the speed will increase. I got sonic to go so fast that he would hit an invisible wall if he ran too fast. I have never seen anyone mention this glitch and i think i have officially discovered it.

There's a glitch in 2 player mode my friend and I once learned by accident. If you use Chaos Control or Time Stop at the exact moment that the script of the other player's board is supposed to separate from them, it'll overwrite the script that separates the character from the board, allowing the player to board around City Escape until you get to the loop to go down the building. The only way to get off of the board is to take damage or die by falling into a bottomless pit. Dash panels don't remove the board from the character either so you can do insane jumps in areas you shouldn't be able to.
i just found a voice glitch (not sure if anyone discovered before me)
steps
1: enter any stage that starts with dialogue e.g city escape
2: either die( if you have not hit a checkpoint) or restart the stage
3:when you can pause and restart before the dialouge happens
4: repeat as much as you want
5: the voices will overlap by the amount of times you restarted
Came back here after getting 180 emblems the day before this became 10 years old.
If you stand in the plant on the bottom rock in chao world and homing attack furiously, see what happens after a few times. And make sure you keep moving away from the world. come back and the chao will be screwed up.
+Andrew Bowers They clip through the ground and swim under ground. If they are below a lower part of the ground (the bottom of the hill near the water or in the water), you can pick them up out of the water.

Penro well the test level does work with sonic on the GC version but not with tails and knuckles
There's also 2 more Chao garden glitches I discovered with my brother. The first one makes the animal glitch far easier. Take your Chao to the hero garden and place it up against any area on the fallen column on the left of the entrance. The Chao will be stuck in that one spot so you won't have to worry about it moving around and messing you up. The Chao can only get out if it rolls (the ability given by the seal), if it skips toward you (if it loves you), or you pick it up. The second glitch is in the dark garden.
The second glitch is in the dark garden. Go to the right side against the GBA and go up against it and the wall. Face the GBA and SLOWLY walk towards it. You will notice that you'll be automatically moving towards the wall. Keep walking until you get behind the GBA. Walk towards the wall and you'll go right through it. You can explore the background along with going through the mountain in the distance. Return by going towards either of the 2 ledges. When you return, the Chao in the garden will be almost entirely underground except for the top of their heads poking out. You can return them to normal by exiting the garden and entering it again

It doesn't work on Dreamcast, PC and Xbox 360 versions. You can do the test stage glitch in the PS3 version and you need Gameshark to access it on the Gamecube version!

I was able to pull off timer glitch for sonic once in the final mission. It was cool to see him run to the end rather than get swept away to it.

For the infinite ring glitch on Gamecube, you are unable to do it this way as you can only select continue or exit in the pause menu.
You can still do it though, it's actually quicker and a little easier.
- Just sell an item to the black market, press back to get out of the black market, and then reset the game (you may be able to reset by pressing R+Z+START, depending on what you're playing on).
The game automatically saves your ring count but the data from anything else in the chao gardens only gets saved when you exit chao world normally. Just remember not to exit chao world after selling your item, you have to reset or else the item will be gone.

+キシネッテアスレッテ maybe you missed the timing by a tiny bit. it is almost precise timing. press jump and press the bounce button a split second before u hit the wall. like 5 or 4 frames before.
