Fixing a Dewalt DCS577 60 Volt saw with a bad bearing. Loud Geary sound when running.

- Had several of these DCS577 Saws in for repair now with the same problem.
Top bearing on the rotor collapsing. The main reason for this failure is cheap Chinese bearings.
These particular bears seem to fail without warning.
But as long as tlyou don't keep running the saw with this bearing and change it out, it is normaly a simple repair.
Just as long as the motor is still running, changing the bearing will fix the problem.

Very thorough, well done
Rocking with the digital watch love it
Pro tip, put your palm on the shoe when loosening or tightening the arbor screw :) changed my life when I realized this one lol
nice work, you know what you're doing
hey dean, can u do a video where u teach us how to recognise a fake makita grinder from an authentic one, i think am not the only one whos looking to buying used quality tools for cheap , love ur content, bonne continuation from algeria ♥️
Usually when a retaining bolt doesn't come off a circular saw I sometimes try and impact driver was socket of that size it seems to work if I use it at the right controlled speed
Two questions- what do you use in your parts washer and what type of grease is that? Thanks!
Awesome video.
Watched the whole thing waiting for the money shot of hearing the bewdy now quietly roar to life.
But no
The crowd goes ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Great video though,thank you 🇦🇺 🤠
yea messed up on that one. must have hit stop instead of record.
Dean, got a 60 volt sds and a bit stuck in the chuck assuming the end has mushroomed inside of the drill. Any idea how to get it out? Cheers
What do you use in your part washer 😮
May I ask what machine you use to clean the parts?
Where can I find the bearings, I'm in Toronto, thank you.
I can’t even change the blade in mine 😂
Ugh! No test run!
Do you have the part numbers for those bearings I'm working on the same so I'm having a hard time finding the bearings
No I just use nsk or fag bearing. I don't use the genuine dewalt bearings.
@@deandohertygreaserthank you!
I never see those 56v batteries. Are they even sold in Europe?
yes, very common now
It never ceases to amaze me how incapable most tradesmen are in regards to fixing their own power tools.
I guess it’s partly tools are far less repair friendly than they used to be - and it’s often not worth the time. If I’m charging out at £90 an hour no need to waste my time faffing around with something I’m not versed in - cheaper and faster to get it repaired elsewhere.
At least that’s the approach I have to cars now days. Cheaper, easier and less faff getting it done at a garage
Do you think Dewalt is better than Milwaukee
