Real Talk: I do at home yoga since I was in high school. It was until I was training at a dance studio that I experienced my first group yoga class that broke down and fell apart. After the class I cried and got everything off my shoulder. Yoga really gives you a lot of clarity and self reflection when you feel like you're backed into a corner. Mental health is just as important as physical health.

When you said "This is our Timeskip, we're all gonna get stronger" I laughed because that's exactly how I've been treating this! I just decided to re-read the pre and post timeskip One Piece arcs, been revisiting DBZ during the 3 year training pre androids for some inspiration from my boy Vegeta and I've been trying so many new things out, like daily meditations (some involving balancing), a whole load of new bodyweight techniques, loads of martial arts (including learning new ones)... Thats the key, you have to adapt to the current situation and treat it like a progression towards new power. I was gutted that the gym wasn't gonna be open but honestly, home workouts with the various things I've implemented plus the advice JaxBlade and Athlean-X give out have been game changers! Straight up gonna come out of lockdown like Zoro or Yardrat Vegeta post training!
Much love from the UK, stay safe everyone!

My dude, youre absolutely right. I used to train heavily in past, and in recent years (2-3 years back) it low back and shoulders were fucked. Especially the low back. A physiotherapist suggested me some stretching moves to help it. And thank god i dont have any low back pain anymore.
I'm back in training and stretching is a must these days. And youre right, stretching relieves the body so much. Longetivity is the main goal that everyone overlooks.

Since I first watched this when it came out I've tried to incorporate in into my day-to-day workouts, and I'm already feeling a lot better than I have been. I'm a trans dude and I avoided yoga for a long time because anything good I found seemed to be totally geared toward women; I think that's a common misconception among men in general: that yoga is somehow "less masculine" than lifts or fighting. But bros, this is genuinely good information, and the man Jaxblade himself is showing us that doing yoga is only gonna make us stronger if we do it right. Lifting a lot, punching hard, and looking super manly is great, but not if you're in pain all the time. Thanks for this, Jax! #yogajax

Love your video man as I'm reading "Becoming a supple leopard"
I think one thing that should be said is mobility compared to flexibility. Mobility (umbrella term) is having the range of motion and having the strength for a full range of motion (squatting without bending back and pistol squats with ankle and hip mobility). Flexibility falling under it with being able to hold a stretched position (like a split).
There are many people like Martial artists who can't do splits but be able to kick above someone's head (like how a sprinter can't run a marathon but can do a 100m in 11 sec).
    Keep up the awesome work!

I forget where I saw it, but it was something like it takes a ligament 2 months to be fully acclimated to the change a muscle can go through in a week of training. Tendons take a lot more time to strength compared to muscles and this can lead to a lot of injuries. Yoga is fantastic in improving your bodies pliableness and resistance to injury. Good shit

so I used to train in choi kwang do (a fighting style centered around flexibility) and I used to be SUPER flexible because I would be forced to stretch every time I was at the dojo. I was a second degree black belt (not to flex or anything), so I was doing this everyday for like 9 years. But once I quit martial arts i stopped stretching as often. it was sad to see that all of that work went to waste in only a year or two. Moral of the story, don't lose your flexibility. It's hard to get but super easy to lose if you aren't carful.

Hey jax I've watched you for a long time now and like many I lost my job due to the virus and all the gyms around me were closed for 4 months I did calisthenics in the beginning but then gave up and went into just a little depression and gained a substantial amount of weight like nearly 40 pounds. However my gyms recently just opened back up and I've been hitting it hard i also just found a new job as well. However here lately I've been feeling super tight and sore from the gym like a lot more then usual, and then I stumbled across this video. Now yoga is not something I ever had an opinion about really its just something I've chosen to never do before until a little over halfway through this video. I immediately downloaded a yoga app and did a 30 minute session and let me tell you the affects it had on me were just great almost all of my tightness and soreness in my muscles went away, and it gave me such a nice meditative state of mind. I will continue now to do yoga every single day and I just wanted to stop and thank you very much for opening my eyes to the greatness of yoga.#YOGAJAX

You might be right about doing resistance training first too, cause it always works best when I stretch after a pressing exercise. Gonna try yoga and see if it takes it to the next level!

From what I now yoga is very interconnected to martial arts, parts were based off of martial arts stances. Main examples are the warrior poses, they are similar to the front stance on certain karate styles, and very similar to a long stance in sword styles.

I vouch for his Luffy TLTT video. I been doing it since October after every workout session and it be very helpful. All the moves are great and helps out in so many ways. At first couldn’t do a bridge even thought I would never be able to. But after doing it over as over it got too easy so I was like let me try with my hands and next thing you know I was able to do it for little bit. Then before you know it doing both to get a good stretch. I love it. Highly recommend starting off with his video if you want to add stretching at the end of your workout.

Well iv been to a chiropractor for sciatica, and the most info i can get out of it is stretching, iv put on a lot weight since i started my job and this pain doesnt help so i might partake in yoga, it was one of solutions, the warming up part is the hard part since sciatica sends pain in your back and leg.
