9:26 this is awesome! See, I've been doing isometrics since I was a teenager (learned it from Dragon Ball Z, well, mainly from DBZ). And I've always concerned myself because, at least for me, it's easy to build muscle with isometrics, but I've always been concerned with strength of movement. . Btw, if you are wondering how I learned from DBZ, you know, they power up by yelling and flexing. Most people focus n the yelling, I focused on the flexing. Just try keep the head and neck relaxed. Specially flex the neck. Then I learned to flex specific parts of my body until they shake. But it was more a curiosity than genuine interest. What I did for genuine interest was I flexed and pretended that was kaioken. Then I flexed harder and pretended that's ssj1, then flexed even more and pretended that's ssj2. And so on. Always not letting the pressure get to my head, of course. . The cool thing about it is, I flexed so much, when I relaxed, the muscles were swollen XD
I want to be a Navy SEAL in the future and from the research I've done, it shows that the really muscular and oversized guys ar the ones who fail often so I've been trying to find a way to get stronger without getting to big This helped a lot. Thanks.
That's because the military goes for endurance and stamina not necessarily strength. Also a bit of advice build up your muscle mass because then you would have a large base of muscle to work with that you can then train without worrying about fluctuating gains. It's like collecting lots of clay and then you start sculpting cutting away the excess and molding the rest into what you want. Cardio and calisthenics and weight lifting is a damn good combo for any activity you plan on doing. For cardio long walks to get the blood flowing is best since it's easy to Pace your breathing and you can feel the blood circulate through your muscles a feeling of fullness throughout the muscles of the body. Then you fast walk. And then a short run. Jumping jacks are good exercise too. Especially when you bend your knees while doing them. Do as many as you can at a manageable pace for five minutes. Body weight squats, push ups planche for 30 seconds.

As a martial artist, this is the video ive been looking for ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ My objective is to find the sweet spot between absolute strength and relative strength... Im probably going the right way, i literally went through a door by accident the other day... I tried to push it with my foot and didnt know the door was stuck(not locked) so, my foot went through it
I think looking into bone strength is also a factor. Your neurons, tendons, and muscles rely on the framework to get their strength, and bones are that framework.
When I run, and I've been running long distances for years now, I never even consider stopping, and I never did. Not even once. When I decide to run, I am aware that no matter what, even if I throw up and every muscle fiber begs for me to stop, I never do, not until I run the entire distance. I also really dislike treadmills and love training in the rain/snow. Makes me feel like Rocky. As by your advice, I've been taking cold showers for years, so no matter the temperature, I never break.
8:44 You used my favorite chart! And thank you for always emphasizing the importance of warming up. Also, I think you alluded to it, but it's worth pointing out that strength also tends to be movement specific. People see others who are monsters at certain lifts and aren't that big and are in awe. But they don't realize that person probably trains that movement alot, and could be sacrificing other areas of development as a result.
Honestly a big part of power and small size is just knowing how to move your body, the technique in how to punch correct and kick correctly is so under rated by casual fans. You can be half the size in muscle to someone else and still hit harder, if your technique is better, we have literal clips of this to prove it.
Here is a video idea I thought might be interesting. Given that when someone reaches late-thirties to early-forties, muscle mass tends to drop quickly, what would be a good approach to countering that loss?
@@ashtongarcia6894 it's like a spectrum in the sense that if you train at a higher intensity with lower reps your gonna get stronger and training at higher reps with improve muscle hypertrophy. Something Pavel Tatsoulline said, was doing 50-70% of your max, 5 reps in 5 sets, with each set being at least 15 min apart, which would go into a flow training or what he calls greasing the groove training. and doing 5 reps because that's what trains strength, any more than that, you train other things as well
This sort of video is exactly what I'd love to see more of! So many people are into exercise for the muscle size and appearance, and while that's good for them it still makes it really difficult for a new person to find a good workout to focus purely on strength rather than appearance.
Hey jax could you do a video one keeping one energetic throughout the day. Because you know diet, working out, as well as other things that all would relate to such a topic. And that would honestly be a really helpful topic for those of us who almost work 24/7 or just those who have schedules that always change.

So I’m going to share a story that’s a little bit related to the video. So I was out in this park, and right after a bunch of people wearing white helmets and blue jackets went to the park and cut down all the tall overgrown grass. And I was just taking pleasure in the new environment, when suddenly. I noticed a piece of steel, I picked it up out of curiosity and it’s steel, although I’m not sure of its purposes. But it’s steel and it’s literally BENT. There’s two reasons. Number one. One of the cleaning crew bent it, or it just was that way. But considering the fact that there wasn’t any thing that could’ve bent it, I just think that it’s a demonstration of labour strength imo. I don’t know.
I think im biased to try and be lean and shredded because I was really big from middle to high school. Although as the lbs have been dropping I noticed my body is a bit stocky and wonder if I'd look weird if I didn't have some escanor type mass on my body.
I have to say I really like your new avatar but I have a feeling we need a pose for him to show off some more of that diesel ass legs of your :3 😂 one leg vertically next to your head like a ballet dancer of cause the hand suggesting downwards to present the goods 😬
Hi you made me more likely to excercise like anime work out version and i loved it i only have one question......... Can you make a video of anime food that can help us like i mean like to help our body something like that please make a video🥺🥺🥺❤❤❤❤🤩🤩🤩
2:46 Everyone in the Naruto fandom hates on Sakura calling her useless yet here she is keeping up in a fight while she also took down one or two Akatsuki members within the first few seasons of Shippuden
I have a question. So I’ve been doing the Mirio workout and luffy stretches for about 2 weeks now. How would I optimize it to help increase my strength. I stretch on weekends and do the Mirio workout 4 days a week
every time i watch one of your videos i start watching one afte another of the older videos... revisiting this video i got a new question... if someone did for example bodybuilding type of routine for the legs for example... but a power lifter type of training for the upper body... and they ate slightly more than normal... would they get bigger legs and stronger arms that do not get that big? or the other way arround... like... you do bodybuilder arms training or whatever... the point is... can you choose to split your training like that to hit diferent muscles differently?
I do get why people wanna be big, I really do, and it’s fun to be a bigger dude, I was throughout high school, wasn’t the most muscular guy, but being big, muscular and strong is good during those times.... it really does get tiring at one point though. I had to do it pretty much as a job for Football, gotta be bigger to play Offensive line, which is fine, but because of how big I was, sometimes it’d cause problems for me, couldn’t run that fast, I had to go from Large to XL, and overall just kinda didn’t feel great on my body. The summer after I got out of HS, I dropped hella weight, went from 230 in July to 200 at the end of August, and I’ve been doing a pretty good job staying there. I’m really looking to drop to about 190 now. I honestly don’t care about getting major abs, but I wanna at least look skinnier for myself, which is happening and I’m happy about it
Hidden power level, for sure I already gain stupid muscle from breathing next to any weights. I think that strength is much more important for me at this point
You ever consider doing a video on the importance or benefits of grip strength? Like of course alot of characters are really strong when they pick shit up, but some have immense forearm strength and development. Some martial artist training even specializes in hand conditioning
Your such a great source for people who live anime and want to start working out. The enjoyment of anime and understanding how each character is buff for reasons and such.
Wait..I use bodyweight training..so if I am doing push ups for strength I should do 6 push ups and rest a lot between sets!?+ awesome avatars liked them!!!
@@narutsushrestha6737 Do a different kind of push up other than the normal kind that you cannot do more than 6 reps with. Unless you can't do more with normal push ups. It's all about the intensity of the work out rather than the amount of times you can do it. So let's say you can do 8 normal push ups rather easily, just doing 6 normal push ups all of a sudden won't get you the strength and power Jax is talking about, but let's say navy seal push ups you can barely do 5 without dropping down and panting your guts out, that's the one you want to do.
@@theworstcatholic7247 So does that mean I have to do a type of push up which hard for me and worn me out and try to do it more than I can? And the rest he means is doing other type of push-up after doing previous push-up?

Yeaaaaahhhhhhh!!! that rugby clip got me hype!!!! I don't know anymore. I was always proud of my more lean and frankly skinny figure. I aim to be stronger but essentially keep lean. So in short, yes, my power level I want to be hidden.

Hi you made me more likely to excercise like anime work out version and i loved it i only have one question.........
Can you make a video of anime food that can help us like i mean like to help our body something like that please make a video🥺🥺🥺❤❤❤❤🤩🤩🤩
Loved the use of Spiderman in this video and the saberspark bit cracked me up, I love that guy xD really liked the new AVI
"Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak." - Sun Tzu, The Art of War
I think it's not possible to get big muscles low body fat while punching hard kicking hard having stamina like a fighter
I really want to add strength but not necessarily size. The avatar is great
"This type of training could F*** YOU UP immensely" 😂😂 Jax you kill me bro
I build muscle super easy but my metabolism is incredibly slow
2:46 Everyone in the Naruto fandom hates on Sakura calling her useless yet here she is keeping up in a fight while she also took down one or two Akatsuki members within the first few seasons of Shippuden
0:54 Yo why all of them are shrugging??
I love hidden Power level, like I want to be Peter Parker.
I honestly don’t care about getting major abs, but I wanna at least look skinnier for myself, which is happening and I’m happy about it
I want to get super big and super strong
Hidden power level, for sure I already gain stupid muscle from breathing next to any weights. I think that strength is much more important for me at this point
deku gives me goosebumps while watching that episode 😊😊😊😆😆😆😆
Can you combine hypertrophy and strength training in the same workout?
Respectfully as a beginner these things are the same. You can’t avoid muscle gain if you’re trying to get stronger brother.
Can you do a training like Shikamaru Nara, from Naruto?
You ever consider doing a video on the importance or benefits of grip strength? Like of course alot of characters are really strong when they pick shit up, but some have immense forearm strength and development. Some martial artist training even specializes in hand conditioning
Dope avatar bro I like it 👌😎👌
Here before it passes a hundred views
Your such a great source for people who live anime and want to start working out. The enjoyment of anime and understanding how each character is buff for reasons and such.
Wait..I use bodyweight training..so if I am doing push ups for strength I should do 6 push ups and rest a lot between sets!?+ awesome avatars liked them!!!
You should do a pushup variation that you cannot do more than 6 with good form with so like once you hit 6, 8 should be IMPOSSIBLE
Got it! Thanks teacher!
@@yakshadalaster305 bro I was wondering the same question but I didn't understand what jaxblade answered
Can u explain what he said
@@narutsushrestha6737 Do a different kind of push up other than the normal kind that you cannot do more than 6 reps with.
I like to think of the lean/athletic appearance as the "Spider-man Aesthetic"
Hidden power level 💪 💯
0:39 the real black Goku
Training for strength and speed. The main sport that I play is golf so need to have speed to drive the ball a long way.
just starting watching yucike
Dammit I’m gonna have to start out mha from the very first episode

Happy Birthday!!
Thank you love your videos dude
Great video my man!

I’ve been living under a rock
Hidden Power Fire OP
I'm one of those who dont gain large amounts of size when I actually try to build strength. If I let myself go I look swole and full of mass, but when I actually get fit I look like a relatively skinny guy, even though I was actually far stronger skinny than a little overweight haha
Yeaaaaahhhhhhh!!! that rugby clip got me hype!!!!
I don't know anymore. It's really easy for me to beef up I have a bulky frame but what I really want is to be a lean muscular but I also have to keep up muscle for Rugby season. I'm in a vicious cycle that cut and bulk but I can't cut first which you've warned us to do first! I'll have to wait xD
Great video JAX. i've been searching for stuff like that for a long time. thank you brother.
1:05 I get the videos old but I appreciate this I'm like 6ft 8 and have always been outta shape, I also hate the gym, advise I always get it basically push iron till ur Arnold and every personal trainer or friend has always tried to get me to focus on just muscle mass cause I'm big and I've always hated it but about 3 months ago I started doing just calisthenics at home and I enjoy it so much more than high protein and weights and I actually feel stronger
I was always proud of my more lean and frankly skinny figure. I aim to be stronger but essentially keep lean. So in short, yes, my power level I want to be hidden.
Where’s bane’s would that work out
@@jashardwallington don't need steroids to be big and strong. Just need them to be the biggest and strongest ,😂
First, be born in prison

I recently signed up for the online coaching program and my aim is to have a lean/athletic build but to have that power.
