Important note: offspring is an ETB trigger, so you can double it up with Virtue of Knowledge and Panharmonicon. If you have either one of those and you offspring something with an ETB, you get a massive 6x of that thing's ETB.
Romana 2 is quite underrated. I use them with the Sixth Doctor for all kinds of cloning hijinks. One of my favorite things to make, in order to bring peace to the table, is non legendary token copies of God-Pharoahs Statue. LOL The last time I pulled this off I got 4 copies in play before people accepted the peace I had brought to the game: Everyone Lives! Except the manaflation is so high no one can cast anything anymore ;p LOL
You only need one ;) Just use a placeholder card for it like you would a double-faced card. When you're going to play it, use the placeholder card then get the real one. Boom! Done. Just 1 is needed. *And*, it can be a gold-bordered version which are still relatively cheap! (Although not as cheap as 5-10 years ago, but I digress.)
Very true! But the reason I focus on Palinchron is because all you need is Palinchron and the lands to cast it and bounce it. For Peregrine Drake (and Great Whale too) you need an additional card to make work. By the way, since you need to tap down Crystal Shard for it to bounce Peregrine Drake, you can't go infinite with it.
You can definitely add it if you wanted to, since it should gain you a lot of life in theory. But with just one-of, I wouldn't. Unless you go ham on lifegain and add the rest of the creatures that do that.
You can definitely add Elesh Norn and other Panharmonicon type effects. But since those are essentially "weaker" versions of token doubling (since it'll only double offspring and not other token creating effects), I omitted them from my deck. That being said, if you really want to go hardcore on creating tokens via offspring of with creatures that have enter-the-battlefield triggers, you can definitely add them all (Elesh Norn, Panharmonicon, etc.)
Hey, DementedKirby! I saw a few weeks ago that you had an alternate version of this deck that focused on cost reductions for artifact creatures, but it's gone from your Moxfield. Did you decide to tweak it?
Howdy! It wasn't supposed to be visible yet since I was still working on it. I tend to keep those private until they're ready. I guess I can make it unlisted again. But it's still not to my satisfaction yet. You should be able to take a gander at it again now. Just let me know.
Outside of Angel of Invention, I disagree with your first section of card choices in all those anthem creatures. To make an offspring token of most of these creatures you're spending 6-9 mana. That mana would be better spent on more creatures that either come with more bodies when they enter, or other creatures with good ETB abilities. Also, where's Panharmonicon? That card is cracked in this deck, as it doubles the Offspring trigger, as well as doubling the ETBs of the Offspring creatures.
I think it's a huge flavor win that the Offspring commander is a stork!
Yup! It was definitely no accident! XD

Mother of God... :O
Do you have to pay the offspring multiple times per doubling effect?

lol! That's hilarious! Love it! Those are the kinds of plays I live for and make playing games worth playing! Even if it's against me XD
I wish I had enough ancient tombs to include for all the deck techs you have for commanders I want to build lol.

Peregrine Drake also works with crystal shard and cloudstome curio

Love this channel. A Mr. Foxglove video would be awesome
Thanks! That means a lot! :')
Another card that is great for the deck is herighast because it draws cards and allows you to eat your offspring
Very true! The tokens made with offspring are supposed to have the same mana value as the original creature.
Is lifecreed duo good cause then u can offspring and then gain life for every creature and token that enters?
You can definitely add it if you wanted to, since it should gain you a lot of life in theory. But with just one-of, I wouldn't. Unless you go ham on lifegain and add the rest of the creatures that do that.
Quick question: when you cast ziannia can you pay the additional 2 mana for her and create a copy of itself?
Nope, it doesn't have offspring itself. It gives offspring to your creature spells only when it's on the battlefield.
Also, if you offspring a legendary creature, the legendary rule would come up. They both will have the same name.
Why is no talking about Elesh Norn mother of machines?? Is there something I missing with her

@@TheCommanderTavern Thanks for clearing that up! No worries if you feel as though you need to work on it and keep it delisted until then!

Very true! I wanted to present a shell but there're definitely ways to maximize it even further with ETB doubling abilities. Good eye!
