- In this short video, I'll show you in what I think is the best & easiest way to throw ANY size cast net. No need to put the dirty lead in your mouth or around your shoulder. With this method, you will stay 100% dry!
Cast net used in this video is a 9 ft Mullet net.

I try to cast at the skyway pier fla. and the water is 25’ down from the top of the pier, a lot of times because of the wind it bananas out I’m hoping that this demonstration cures my problem, it seems like the easiest way to throw a cast net , thanks for posting this is a great video 👍🏼.

How is the fish caught in the net please explain because the bottom is open. Can fish escape when the weights are together while pulling
Been throwing a cast net for many years and have used many techniques. I recently bought a 12’ and wanted a technique that didn’t have to use my mouth and this is the best one I have tried. I bought a big 12 ft net plus their video from an operation down south. The gentleman who owned the Co. & did the video was very helpful - spent time w me on the phone answering all my questions to pick the right net. He will get my business from now on. After frustrating hours of trying to use the over the shoulder method I've seen in other videos with little success, I found this video and could throw a net on the first try.
Tried this out and I must say it works...but the one thing which is very important is to tap out the lead weights before throwing to ensure they are not tangled...I kept getting it wrong even though I was following everything until I did this...I actually now separate the entire bottom of the net at my feet prior to throwing...even though he does that in the video it's a small step and not many will realise or notice it

This one was a 10 ft cast net. I've successfully threw up to 12 ft but you'll get tired really quick
@@FT86TT that’s what I thought 10ft. Great method once you get it down pact, and quick reloading. I usually run up and down the beach shores with a six footer and even that gets heavy after a while so I can only imagine a 12 footer after a few tosses. Thanks again

Who is that masked man? 😄 I've worn out my 67 year old shoulder learning how to throw my 8' cast net but this video was the most helpful. Simplest, most effective technique. Took me a while to figure out to flip my right wrist to get the farthest part of the lead line to extend.

What size net are you using? And does color matter? Blue, white etc?
Milton Solis This is a 10 foot net. Color is just a personal preference but IMO white is easier to see if there's any bait in the net.
