That thumbnail bro😂 that looked like a 30 foot net great throw the mullet nets are not for the faint of heart especially if your trying to make a living at it every throw counts when your commercial fishing that net gets heavy after a handful of throws 😂 gotta make everyone count this was a good how to video for folks
Great video even for a seasoned bait guy like myself, my question is where do you guys get these chain link nets? I know they’re custom made but have never in my life seen one in person or know someone that has. I’m up in the big bend and would love a lighter net like that for catching mullet on the oysters without the leads getting hung up as bad
Sorry pal I lost you 7:25 with the right hand pinching 😂😂😂😂😂😂as much I will ❤ to learn how to cast a net it’s definitely not for me🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣I fried all of my brain cells
I think this technique is a lot more complicated than it needs to be. For beginners don’t go get a 10 ft net to start. Get a 5 ft to learn before going up bigger. In my opinion a 6ft will do the job and has worked perfectly for me to catch shad, shrimp, and mullet up to larger 15 inch mullet and even catching fish by accident. This method requires putting the net in your mouth which is nasty and getting yourself all wet putting it on your shoulder. Just my opinion there are much easier ways! Still a great video!
@ what do you disagree about putting the net in your mouth being nasty? Or starting with the smaller net to practice first before going up to a larger net? Or is it putting the net on your shoulder every time getting yourself soaking wet? Because those are all pretty valid points. Not saying that you won’t be able to throw a 10 foot net but it makes sense to start and get good throwing a smaller net first. That’s all I’m saying. PS a smaller net also saves you some money.
@@CryptoPaysMeDailyif you were a commercial fisherman, you would have to graduate to at least a 10 ft net. I'm not a commercial guy but I throw a bigger net, and I also have a 6 footer in case I have to wade. Bigger is better, and it will definitely take your skills as a fisherman to the next level. Don't be afraid to get wet when you throw, carry some dry clothes in the car and buck up
It’s a great video, but I don’t think I could throw a 6 foot cast net. I have both shoulders replaced and nerves stimulator implanted in my spine. So I would want to see a video on how to easily throw a small net
I have such a hard time throwing a small net and this really looks like a great job
Practice, practice, practice!
Great video. Thank you
Anytime!

Thank you!
How far off the coast do you go to use this bait
On the gulf side I’ll run 30 miles in the offshore boat. Catch Ajs and grouper.

Agree to disagree. That’s the best technique for throwing full sized nets. Put in the time, you can open a 10!

@ throwing a smaller net is a completely different technique. Shoulder or mouth are the only 2 proper ways to throw a big net!
