@@KenLoveday70 thank you for showing an effective and practical way to throw a fish cast net. I bought a 6" foot diameter cast net 8 days ago to add to my Survival gear.

This is the easiest, most natural method for me ! I've watched numerous videos of complicated methods, then said F it . I remember watching this a good while ago and remembered this video the most out of all of them ! For me anyway, this is the best Video for castnetting
Hello there. So ive looked at so many, how to throw your net videos and most are so complicated i can remember all the steps. I have to say your is the most simple and not hard to remember. Cant wait to get out there and give it a try. Ty.
Took my 4.5' net to the river today and followed your instructions to the letter. Opened great, caught 3 fish in two casts. Thanks for the great tip on the left hand being low and relaxed, "let the net pull the weights when it wants". Best method on You Tube!
The BEST castnet tossing technique I have ever seen! ALL fishermen should learn this, for a free, endless supply of minnows and other baitfish! EXCELLENT instruction, Sir! Thank you!
Thank you sir for sharing your technique… I’ve seen multiple videos and your technique is simplified to a basic form that anyone can follow. I will pass down your knowledge to other fisherman 🙏🏼.
This is truly the easy way that should be taught more. I can throw a 12’ net no problem but always struggle with a little net. I look forward to practicing this!
Great job in making this were you don't over think the process to throw a cast net. It amazes me how others try to add extra steps and confusing to throwing. Thank you for the lesson.
I’ve been throwing for a long time using a method similar to your description and I’m definitely gonna give this a whirl I hope it works for me too it would save a lot of effort the net is heavy. Nice vid .
I definitely have to try this method because I do NOT try the mouth method and I hate the shoulder method. I have 3 size nets bought several years ago but I have not been practicing. U made my day! Thanks.
I watched & insane amount of videos on cast a net & your videos & dimensions was by far the best one out there!! I used your method an 5out of 5 throws the net opened up 100% of the time!! Thanks a million it’s definitely a life changer for me now!!
Thank you sir! I knew there was another way to do it. I’ve watched videos of people saying fold this over, then this over, then split the net, then put this over your finger. Hell I dam never went over the boat trying to throw it like that. Im the only man that can say I caught my dam trolling motor with a cast net! Thanks a lot sir, this video was very helpful..
Ken I was only half way thru this video and I subscribed without looking at what else you have. I don’t care if it’s watching paint dry, it no doubt will be a better way to do it than I have been. I went outside, threw my net… oh my goodness, pancake. Came back in for part 2… thank you Ken!!!!
He is such a boomer. Attitude cracks me up. “Alright, stop making a big deal of something so simple.. You just do it like this,” and kind’a scolding, “It opens up every TIME.” And it does.

First time seeing this method of cast netting. Much easier than the way I have been doing for 40 plus years. You can teach old dogs new tricks especially if it is Clyde
Thank you, Sir, I have watched many Cast Net videos. This video is THE BEST!!!!!!! Thank you for taking the time to make this video. My cast is 1000% better
Thanks for the tip. I throw a 6' net, (radius), almost the same way and was having 50/50 shot at opening. Was practicing today and used your tip. Greatly increased my good throws simply by holding the weak arm to my waist. As always, practice makes perfect but I will incorporate this into my routine.
I’ve been trying to get people around here to learn to throw it like this for 20 years because they have all kinds of complicated ways of throwing a cast net
Darn it! Im 47 and have always used my teeth. I guess an old dog can learn new tricks. Even though Im right handed I throw with my left hand. Im going to start practicing with my right hand like you. Thanks!
Great demonstration! I have always used a 3’ shad net years ago and it was easy to throw, but this year I could only find a 4’ and I was having problems casting it but I wasn’t choking up on it! Thanks for the video!
Excellent Ken. A little hint, you’re in silhouette with the Sun behind you which made it a hard to see where your fingers were. Now I know that 2m tall is a good height for a net but I need to know about diameter, I will check the rest of your channel. Many thanks.
