Thank you for your review ^_^ I am looking into buying my first mechanical keyboard and I don't really like the clanky size and sounds most have so you helped me get the decision for the low profile red :D
Edit - after 3 weeks -
I now have this keyboard and it's just perfect for what I need! It's not too big compared to the previous keyboard I had and the sound it makes is so muffled that my microphone is not picking it up anymore and it's really wonderful during the night as well when my boyfriend is trying to sleep and I'm staying up late
I have had a similar experience with mine. My wife was worried when I started looking into mechanicals. She works 3rd shift during the night so while im up working in the day clacking away it would be a very bad situation to have a clacky keyboard. The K70 low-profile with the speed silver switches turned out to be even quieter (by my wifes claim who sleeps very light) than a membrane keyboard is. I think mostly due to the linear travel being so solid there's virtually no rattle from the other surrounding keys as you type. And if you dont bottom the keys out hitting them hard then it makes almost no noise at all.
@@crisnmaryfam7344 luckily we're both gamers so it would never be that bad, but I don't enjoy it when my keyboard is being picked up by my microphone more often than my voice >.< It also gets a bit too annoying when I'm overstimulated and I can hear the clicky clack in my head and it just drives me crazy o...o Sometimes I can sleep through anything, some other times I need dead silence so low noise keyboard is deffinitely a good perk xD
I ended up buying this keyboard and it's doing really great ^_^ It has a nice muffled sound to it and I can use voice activation without it being picked up :) (I do have my microphone set up, but I also don't enjoy having to kiss the mic to talk without picking anything up from the background so it's really nice to be able to do both :D )

I got the non slim version after coming from a chick-let key, keyboard. And its like I have had to re-learn how to type. These massive buttons get in the way. Regretting not getting the slim.

I'm new to mechanical keyboards, and I can't decide between the mx red and the mx speed version.
I dislike high raised keyboards, so I think that the low profile will be perfect for me. I do a lot of typing on my laptop keyboard, as well as some casual gaming.
Mallory O. They are very similair
The mk2 speed silver version feels like a cross between a nice full profile keyboard and a laptop. Not a "flat" as a laptop board is but still very low actuation (1.0mm) you barely have to touch the key to get it to trigger. Absolutely amazing feel. Ill never go back to a normal profile.

Does anyone know if the top left "person" button is permanently orange or not? I can't for the life of me change that button color to match the rest of my color scheme
its under the "performance" tab for whatever god awful reason. -Profile indicator- is what you want.
