Thank you Briony, great review! Appreciate the typing tests.
I know! So many reviewers just give you the stats and ignore real-world tests.
instablaster...
Briony is an absolute beast at these reviews, always super thorough! I always learn so much from her reviews! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This is by far the most thorough review on a keyboard out there, thank you so much Briony.
i've seen literally hundreds of keyboards reviews... you are the first to put in a different key cap to check compatibility! amazing review!!!
I must say, this was the most complete review of a product I ever saw. Good job!
Great review! I was looking at this beauitful board!
Thanks for this... Hard to find good reviews of this or similar keyboards.
got this keyboard in lp mx reds, its great always loved low profile keyboards, best for gaming imo
You answered every question i had that other reviews did not. Thank You.
Thanks for the review Briony! Very thorough!
I'm not a fan of that font though, yikes!
just got this keyboard today for black friday, no regrets at all coming from the k68! great buy, love the low pro keys!
2:24 M E A T B U T T E N S
one you hear it you can never unhear it!
Very thorough and excellent review! Thank you.
I just fell in love with everything on this video
Great review. Just discovered this keyboard and need a rundown of the difference between standard and this.
Hello folks, thank you Briony for the review!! Is there any change you could test this keyboard with the PBT keycaps sold by Corsair?
I just got one of these, really love it after a week. Really quiet (speed switches) and yes, you put o-rings under the keycaps, it is legit as close to total silence as you will get.
What sort of O-rings (polymer type, ring thickness and diameter)?
thank-you sooo much for going in to show the Macro settings :)
Nice job.Thank you.
Great review! i wonder if you could share your Purple / blue colour profile? it looks sweet!
So question is do I go K95 platinum with speed switches or get this keyboard bcs the lowproflie looks hella sexy
Hey I can't find your PVT key cap video. Can you please link it? Cheers
Hello, is Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 Low Profile has per-key RGB? Could I tune in the iCUE specific color for each key?
how to get this specific model on this video..i meant the one comes with large size "enter" key??
I appreciate your review on this keyboard and would like to tell you that I love your hair too! Actually, both are good
Does the secondary characters like "@" or "?" also illuminate?
This is lacking on other keyboards like Logitech G915 and Razer Blackwidow Elite which I don't like.
Great review by the way!
Will this replace your current keyboard or do you prefer the k95 platinum?
Just got this keyboard I don't like how the shift feels but everything else is awesome
How bright are the keys? I play against a window and the glare on my current G510s means i literally cant see the key. Anyone have a similar issue?
We have the same chair
They do it in TKL ?? Anywhere, any link to buy or will be appreciate, or equivalent.
Mine is very sensitive to the touch so you need to be a accurate typist. I like it but it takes getting used to if you're coming from the MX reds/blues. Mine has a slight metallic din when typing on certain keys but this seems to be going slowly. Worth the £159? No, I'd say £119 would be fairer. Forgot to say great video Briony!
i loved the older version.. this is the one now i want..
why do people say you can get this keyboard with either speed or red mechanics? i can only find them with the speed option on the official corsair site?
Anyone know if there is going to be a K65 version refresh with low profile? :D
In terms of key height, the majority of mechanical keyboards have keys the size of skyscrapers and are difficult to type on if you're not used to them already so this is a nice change. The lower profile keys will be much easier to type for those coming from older or normal size keyboards.
The low profile is great for CAD work. I also game and want a mechanical keyboard instead of a chiclet one. This is perfect for me.
Thanks for the review. I am interested in a very low profile keyboard is for 2 reasons. I have grown accustomed to using a laptop over the years and simply prefer my keys as low as possible without needing a wrist rest. Elevating and putting the legs up only adds more wrist strain over time. I'm on a keyboard about 12-14 hours a day. The lower the profile, the better... but if I'm going to buy an actual keyboard, I'm going to move away from membrane.
Would you get the Corsair K70 low profile or the logitech G915 ?
As a programmer I find the silver low profile switches the most efficient. I hope we can see more of this keyboard in the future.
Does the sensitivity of the switches bother you?
as a gamer that comes from a laptop with chiclet style rubberdome keyboard i find this keyboard very nice to use! the low profile part was why I bought them and I fell like it did take some time for me to get used to the mx speed switches because of the non tactile feedback, it didnt really take that long until it felt almost weird to use a tactile keyboard! the actually not really noticable noice of this keyboard is actually a key point for me because i hate loud keyswitches since it distracts me alot while typing and gaming. all in all as my first mechanical keyboard I feel like these are great!
I know that it was not a purpose of this video...(bought the keyboard thought :P ) but what mice is she is using in the stream, anyone ?
Excellent review!
agreed
Thank you so much for your review. I have been using Logitech 810 and then 513 and they are pretty pretty good as I wanted linear and silent. But they both failed me after a year because both of them has the same double tapping issue. Believe me, I tried all possible solution to get those fixed but they just don't. Where as Das keyboard using the same Omron switches with almost 2X the price of Logitech.
Is it that logitech collect the bad Omron switches or something, because it's a common complain about their Romer G switches. All has the same double tapping issue and I have seen people ditching the logitech keyboard for that and now it's time for me to move on from Logitech to something else.
I am planning to buy this keyboard and I hope it won't fail me.
Thanks
Great review . But not a big fan of the rubberized plastic wrist rest
Do you still need iCUE for this keyboard's RGB lighting to work? I have a Strafe RGB MX Silent and had to use something called ckb-next on Linux to get it working.
Hi Stephen, Yep all the Corsair keyboards require iCUE to change the RGB settings. I saw some low profile keyboards from Ducky at Computex this year that might be worth looking into as all the lighting is controlled onboard the keyboard itself :)
Corsair finally have an iCue on mac :D but sad I am trying low profile Logi G813 :'(, still no linux tho, ckb is already good for controlling the lights, not as good as what iCue offers
is it possible to rest the fingers on the k70 without triggering them? or are they very sensitiv?
If you just rest them and not applied external force unto it. Then yes. I have this one
Happy new year and keep believing in your dreams kitty
Good stuff, but please put timestamps in the description.
Just three words: You are amazing, another 4 words: this video is amazing
You can get get split keyboards which might be better.
how can a video be this good?
Wonderful review thank you. Briony you are however upstaging your review products lol.
It's £89.99 from Amazon UK now! Seems to be a good deal!
JCM Marcell bought one this morning. To good a deal to turn down!
i like this board. my personal 3 downsides are: "low profile" is a joke to a person that is used to laptop keyboards like the cherry evolution stream and the logitech iluminated. its almost 3times as high. second is the wirstrest. for my taste and keyboard positioning, its to long, deep or whatever you wanna call it. i wish it was cut in half. as far as ive seen, there isnt even an option to order a shorter one from corsair. correct me if iam wrong about that. third on is the price. might depend on where you live but here its 189€. and might i add a forth one? the font!. still iam thinking about getting one
what's the other keyboard ? (8:50)
the white one?
Excelente video, me encantan las computadoras.
Why would you want a heavier thing to carry around in your backpack?
Not everyone carries their keyboard lol
as someone who loves low profile keyboards this one is very interesting. i dont know how people can like high keycaps
Rengaruu thats why i still use membrane ...
Me neither. High keycaps force you to arch your wrist more which contributes to carpal tunnel syndrome.
That’s why wristrests exist
anyone knows dimensions of this wrist rest ? :)
same length as the keyboard but about 3 inches wide i think
me encanta esta chica, demasiada tecnología hermosa!
This keyboard is strange: it is low profile, so you suggest that it is for portability, but noooo... It doesn't have bluetooth and even there is no detachable usb cable. It could also could mean that corsair is planning to start using type-c connector for their wireless version of low profile mechanical keyboard, so now they just make those wired.
excelnte video educativo.
currently 109 euros where i live, or 225 if i order it trough amazon lmao.
but thanks a lot for the review, im going to order it right away :)
I've been looking for a new keyboard for a while. Still rocking my Logitech G510, unfortunately the stupid Romer-G keys, non replaceable really, but what i LOVE are the many profiles you can make, and that the profiles auto switch to the profile matching the active program.
So, Chrome, Photoshop, Windows, Games, they all have their own profiles and they all get turned on or switched to automatically.
Only having 4 profiles as some things have, and you have to switc them yourself, is useless.
I use my 18 G-keys extensively, so i want those, and i know Corsair has these keyboards wit G-Keys as well, although probably not the loe profile one, but they do not auto switch, so it's useless.
Most other keyboards have the same problem.
I was looking at gaming keypads, most have about 24 programmable keys, but the same problems with profiles and switching.
Therew is the very old Logitech one, but that's old, expensive for what it is, and not worth it, i'd love to see that updated, but really, if i want a new keyboard of gaming keypad, i want it to be a Corsair.
They bought Elgato, great stuff, but blocky, has basically one orientation, i want it the other way around, but it's not flat, kind of a fail, why would you ever design it like that ?
Always design it flat and have orientation options, most basic thing ever.
I really hope they'll make a gaming keypad with auto switching profiles, and enough profiles.
The Elgato Stream deck with more keys (i need more) is cool with the screen keys, but then not worth it to me, i'd want to also use it as a gaming keypad, layout wise.
I feel Corsair is THE company to do it right, or MAYBE Logitech, but they'll use their annoying keys again, and i want to be able to replace them.
Just a gaming keypad, 24 keys minimum, thumb d-pad or a few buttons and a spacebar (their gaming keyboards should have like 3 buttons underneath the spacebar, wasted space, thumb underutilized), fully RGB (i want lit keys, mine are always on), i like the thicker font, i like the media keys, just add more (auto)profile control, have a good adjustable wrist rest, and they'll sell. Just do it right.
Why don't they include those rubber rings? The cost is negligible, rubber is cheap and it is easily added during the assembly.
buen video quiero ese teclado
Finally a British tech reviewer
Nice keyboard!!!
Getting wrist/finger symptoms of tingles and numbness or pain are very typical for overuse that in long term can lead to carpal tunnel syndrome. It's particularly agitated by the angle your wrists are when gaming on a typical full size keys mechanical gaming keyboard, and especially if you use the legs to lift it up. The carpal tunnel is at the wrist, where the nerves go from your neck to your fingers, those nerves get compressed when the wrists are at an awkward angle or continuous left-right movement of the mouse hand, or repeated thumb movement when using a console controller. "Gaming until numb" is never a great indication.
As for the keyboard, as @phrog chief already said, low profile keys are more ergonomic, particularly for long typing/use, and also added plus is the huge wrist rest that puts the hands in a flat ergonomically supported state. I've been looking for a low profile keyboard since Razer discontinued their Deathstalker, which has been my keyboard of choice since they released it. Some indie brands have made them, but only in the 60% format which is not for me as I need the numpad quite a lot.
Great review, their spacebars still sound like a $10 wish keyboard :(
I am looking for a low profile switch keyboard due to my arthritis making long gaming sessions more and more painful as I get older (I'm 36!)
6 Months late but if you haven't got anytthing yet, you should consider Tesoro Gram (not the mini version as it has some quality issues). I used it for few years and I really enjoyed it, too bad that they don't sell SE version or TKL version in my country, would have rebought it. :p (It's not broken yet, but it had blue switches and I wanted something quieter and some of the switches feel like reds even though they are Agile Blues. Just wear and tear for using it over 2 years.)
2:24 meat button? 😅
Wow
So cool
I never really ever saw a keyboard like this
Since you said it is a nice keyboard I trust that it will improve my my "“keyboarding😂”
beautiful ^^
I love the switches but I am a huge fan of Cherry MX Blues, I love the tactile clickity click sound, I guess I won't be stepping my game up anytime soon :(..... Great video thanks!
honestly i prefer the full-size keycaps. they look cleaner.
The keyboard functionally is great with a sturdy build quality... but the video doesn't exactly capture the actual pinging sound of this aluminum plate mounted on a plastic frame. I never noticed the ping until someone mentioned it, and now I can't ever unhear it when I'm typing. On the bright side though, the stabs come satisfactorily lubed for a pre-built... I can't imagine how bad it'd sound if the stabs were horrible.
love your eyes!
A simple solution to not get cramp in your musles from using the mouse while you game: get used to a high mouse sensitivity, preferably without any mouse accerlation (a problem in Windows).
Just bought it today xD
The Video is coming through the noise
pretty hands
Not sure at what i should look, keyboard or her eyes :P
Brains and gorgeous too. WOW! Love your hair, eyes and lovely hands (Well, everything really). My oh my.
I have the regular Mk2 version of this keyboard and although a bit loud, it works very well.
Comprehensive, professional and complete. Great review.
I particularly like the USB port as I use a wireless mouse and the transmitter plugs right into the keyboard. Very convenient.
You completely missed the point of a LOW PROFILE keyboard... It has ZERO to do with portability... Many of us typists HATE the insane Z axis height of most mechanical keyboards, and prefer a LOW and FLAT keyboard, to eliminate wrist stress, and speed WPM... Also, the feet are terrible for ergonomics... For best comfort / performance, a keyboard should be as flat as possible, even tilting slightly down and away from ones wrists.
Summary: Low profile is for comfort and speed.
Dude you're missing the point of the review... it's her own interpretation of the key board, if you have issues with some of its physicalities then make your own video review and address them instead of going off like some know it all... not ALL typists will agree with your personal preferences.
Just support your wrists with a wrist support.
@@qm3ster If you need a wrist support you're sitting too low
i dont regret buying this keyboard. its fucking great if u love low propfile. and the clicking sound is really low as you dont need to hammer these keys
140 CAD right now - should I buy this!!??!!
Just got it for $90 USD, I’ll let you know how it is
Low profile keyboard with one kilometer tall keys... It is extremely hard to get actually low profile mechanical keyboard. Apex M800 was the closest but they don't less them anymore so it is hard to get a new or almost new one. Keyboard market is terrible, there is nothing to buy there and even if you find something it is always out of stock or not selling anymore.
One Kilometer keys - those are tall keys !
i like the keyboard but it too expensive :(
Where's the toothpick?
hi
all i game here to see is if it was clicky.
Someone didnt learn home row...
That glare...
this is shockingly good!!!
good for my anda the family
here you are sitting and watching this amazing lady talking when suddenly 4:07 and.......... why so serious ?
Let's get a girl who can't even type (types with index finger only) to do this keyboard review! LOL
All these features still don't justify the ridiculous price tag in my opinion.
True. For that price you could just get a better quality keyboard like a Ducky
The video went waaaaay too long, just wanna know if it's good and how it sounds.
The spacebars on these K70 MK2s are horrendous.
