I added a phone power pack into the wiring config and put that above the roof liner so I have power all the time. This cable plugs into the power pack so when ignition is on the power pack gets charged and then a small usb cable to the camera

Any issues with the heat? I would be worried about the battery pack exploding.

Shame there was a problem with the earlier cable that also had the permanent feed for the dashcam's parking mode.
In the end I had mine professionally wired back to the fuse box.

Hi Purchased on of these last week from you guys. Arrived with three bear end wires to hook up my dash cam to. Can you confirm what the third wire is for?

The 3rd wire we thought was a battery live but it is a door open signal !
Do not use the 3rd wire (red)
