Hey Chris. I'm looking into learning C4d nodes right now and haven't found a lot of documentation (outside of the C4d help manual). I'm trying to make a capsule that essentially drives the strength of a deformer using a sin wave. I'd love to be able to drag/drop the parameter as a child of the deformer and drag in a parameter. Is this something that could be possible? Currently, I was able to build a similar object modifier using nodes that oscillates the transform of an actual object, but I can't figure out how to do the same thing for an effector, or anything else for that matter. I know Xpresso can do it with the set driver/driven functions, but I'm trying to make a tool that I can basically drag onto objects to oscillate their attributes... any attribute.

Chris, I just installed 2023 to check it out and discovered I can't scale or rotate the tangents on my spline vertices any more (with the scale and rotate tools). Do you know if this was intentional and if there's a way to enable this functionality again? Manually editing spline tangents is a pain in the ass. Having to double-click each point to get at the tangent values just so I can flatten out a pair would actually make this upgrade a big 'no' for me as I work a lot with splines. To be clear ... we used to be able to select a spline vert [with soft interpolation] and with the rotate tool you could rotate it and the tangents would rotate but now it seems that you can rotate and scale spline verts all you want and it won't affect the tangents. It sucks.
@@RocketLasso I've tried enabling/disabling tweak mode and almost every ctrl/shift/alt combo there is to no avail but I think there's a way to enable it - it doesn't seem like a bug because the tangents turn white in the viewport whenever you try to rotate the point they're attached to - which indicates they're locked somehow - like how you can lock tangents in the timeline f-curve editor - so I'm not so sure it's a bug or something that was overlooked.
