Was trying to just do a really simple stylized flame. Your bookmarks helped a ton and all my questions were answered in a short amount of time. Thank you!!!
To get such results in Houdini you need like 15 nodes and some Vex coding, while here it's just one tag, crazy. Of course you can't get every imaginable setup with this but speed and efficiency of the system beats all the rest
Great tutorial! New to volumes, wanted to know every time you build a volume simulation do you keep the .vdb files you cached since they are so large or do you delete them? Just trying to get my head around workflow.
This is great! Looks easy enough get into even I'm not a fire man. Quick question does this advect cloth sims? Like using the smoke turbulence to shape the cloth?
There is a parameter in the Pyro settings called "Fluid Force Factor". If you increase that, your XPBD simulations (cloth, rope, soft body) will react to the velocities produced by Pyro.
Instead of Pyro option i get Pyro emitter, after i select it instead of having a pyro default tab in giver me a pyro output, could you make a new video as this one is out dated
I am so feeling the next HYDRO update. Might as well go full Genshin Impact and call the earthqake sims Geo and the Wind sims Anemo. In Genshin they are as follows: "There are seven elements in Teyvat, which are Pyro, Hydro, Anemo, Electro, Dendro, Cryo, and Geo."
The pyro menu is not showing when I click on the presets button for the various channels. Definitely cached the temp and density and it's rendering nicely but can't change any channels.
Moment of silence for Hadewken! (it's Hadouken! ha! doh! ken!) There is a tougher one though Ryu's rotating kick tornado is called the Tatsumeki senpukyaku!
@@ShinobiProductionsVideo didn't even wanted to give the update for the new c4d architecture even though i bought it 2 years before. So i can't use it anymore. It's scam for for me...
I find Insydium to be unethical and money grubbing. Their policies on updates, maintenance etc are absolutely ridiculous and expensive. Having a perpetual license means nothing. You still have to 'rent' the software at really costly rates just to be able to continue updating. And you only get a second seat on your license if you have active maintenance. If you're a hobbyist or only work on motion gfx as part of your larger job, it's completely unreasonable and unfeasible to buy into Insydium. I really dislike them as a company. Because none of this was obvious or disclosed when i bought a perpetual license last year. But they're not the only ones. Other gfx companies do similar things. I hate it.
U hv bin flawless like always dude!! But i genuinely feel cinema is the lagging far behind in terms of what it offers as against what blender does!! Particle sim natively needs a paradigm shift!! Blender offers great variety to its users and its all free!! Maybe sometime soon we see a great particle sim package like xparticles all inside of cinema itself
hum ! ne pas oublier de dire que Pyro ne fonctionne qu'avec REDSHIFT pour le rendu .. INADMISSIBLE que ce ne soit pas précisé lors de l'achat !!! GRRR 🤬

This tutorial is on 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oh you silver tongued devil.
What up what up!!!!
This was an amazing tutorial EJ, thanks for sharing.
Ive been pushing off Red Shift for years now and Pyro finally lured me in... Great video EJ...
Haduken!!!! Ej is the best, thanks!!
25:25 thanks for this hidden gem. Great presentation of new pyro.
Glad you found it helpful!
Great intro :)
Thanks!
Also, how amazing to finally be able to easily mesh a volume, was a hazzle with turbulenceFD.
Im trying to select the Pryo volume material but there is no longer an option for a Redshift pryo volume material ? - is the standard Redshift now ??
Cant wait to watch this!
hope you dig it!
Awesome stuff as always. Helped me get up to speed on a few things. Thanks

I could only imagine! I'm happy that C4D added the pyro sim system and retained the 'easy to set up but also easy to get lost in settings' vibe!

@@Havealot Wow cool thanks!!
Excellent, Thank You 🏆 😁👍!
5:58 Hadouken. Best game ever!
hello nice tutorial as usual !! can you cover how to render pyro buffer? thank you
Wow, that's a huge step for maxon. Funny is I don't have smoke at default like here in video. :D
bad ass intro
Instead of Pyro option i get Pyro emitter, after i select it instead of having a pyro default tab in giver me a pyro output, could you make a new video as this one is out dated
thank you! can i render pyro without a 3º party render engine?

Dendro aka. Maxon buys Forester and covers nature elements with it. Hydro aka Maxon buys Realflow
Hydro! I like the sound of that. Electro I like the sound of even better!!!!
@Ale nah, Native is gold bruh xD
The pyro menu is not showing when I click on the presets button for the various channels. Definitely cached the temp and density and it's rendering nicely but can't change any channels.
When you cache it sort of overrides the channels, to be able to adjust which channels are being rendered/shown you need to disable cache

aw man totally missed out on the Yoga Flame reference!
I´d like to correct you on what channels are needed in order to render. Velocity is crucial for motion blurred pyro sim
got stuck trying to make it render on redshift.... D:
Love the thumbnail 😂
EJ should have been a firefighter, looks good in the uniform lol
This is cool!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great presentation!
Glad you liked it!
Great, How could I export the animation to unreal engine?
How is your sim so fast?
I still get errors when I cache the sim. I have 2 NIVIDIA 3090 cards. Are there any other tips?
Bigger voxels. Also it can't used multiple GPUs.
Hell yea! - for lack of a more fiery word pun! xD
i got the terrible puns covered in the video! :)
Thanks a lot for sharing powerful Pyro, EJ. May i know your awesome system config & Monitor as well : ) That would be really helpful. Thanks!
Sure thing! You can learn more about my setup here: www.schoolofmotion.com/blog/the-ultimate-cinema-4d-machine
Dracarys! Haha poor Bob! :D
Rip insidium.
They should at least make it cheaper now, or give free updates at least for fixed licenses

Has Pyro improved so it doesn't look like a cartoon?
I have already chosen the path to Blender 🙂
You know it's free!

Redshift integration not great 🤨
RS has a dedicated Pyro Volume Material, where do you see it lacking?
@@schoolofmotion too many interim steps getting the RS looking like viewport
It not as fast on my machine ;)

Viewport looks better than the render...
