I love seeing those simulation updates. The countless hours I've wasted scrambling last minute on a project when the simulation decided to fall apart after getting final client feedback...
Simulation Deactivation and the RS Substance Node (which was previously only possible with the old nodes) are definitely my MVPs in this release. The Branch Spline Modifier kinda intimidates me so I'll have to play around with that. Thanks for all your hard work Chris!
Great updates! Have they fixed the stage object!? There’s a bug where the camera doesn’t switch camera when playing back. Maxon have known about this over a month
Lol, I found the Project Asset Inspector by accident yesterday because my coworker sent me a file with a different version of the same font and Cinema didn't recognize it, so it sent me to that window.
curious how do you check if you have missing links/assets? I work on a server and check it almost every time I open a scene to check if all the assets are there.
@@MrMadvillan I was unclear, I'd never seen the fonts in there, like Chris demos here, until yesterday. But I typically skip the regular Asset Inspector, anyhow, because I'm in Redshift, which has its own.
The kind of deadlines we have Simulations scare me I prefer to go with digital assets and compositing but it is another level of ...... but manageable.
@@RocketLasso Sure can Chris. Over a year ago I reported the fact that the simulation objects forces tab in include mode was including all forces despite none having been included. Maxon confirmed with no ET for a fix. It is fixed this version and there has been no mention. Thank you for the reply also :)
AM I crazy to think that the old Mo Text was better than the newer implementation? Extruded text in general. Seems it's much harder to stack bevels now that the fillet only option is gone?
Anyone having issues with the Picture Viewer? Single pass thumbnails appear just fine in the History panel, but when I click on it the Picture Viewer only shows the beauty pass. And, I did click the Single Pass button (I've been using C4D for about ten years.) Thanks.
Once I used Trim Modifier in my scene working perfectly but when I put the file on render farm, it didn't work. I don't know Branch modifier will work or no on render farms otherwise Branch modifier is super cool
What!! Blendians. built-in no add-ons..... getting old cant remember shortcuts of both software. Or maybe it was Chris skill and voice that made it so attractive
The branch modifier is cool but you were able to do all of it before with the L-system. Admittedly less user friendly but it has been there for a long time by now.
All the functionality was there before the L-system, if you used the less user friendly raw code. ^^ How many people do you think use and understand the L-system?
Very few, I suppose. Although there are a few very great tutorials on YT about it. But I think the new branching tools are obviously much more powerful, versatile and iterable. @@RocketLasso
Low key awesome updates for this! Gonna use the heck out of the key reducer!
Wow! Finally, a Key reducer that is usable. Thank you for letting us know, Chris.
Essential viewing for all new C4D releases! Love your work, brother!!! X
The branch modifier could be a killer plugin by itself
Don't I know it!
It's not at all. Very weak comparing to avaiable C4D spline+mograph system
which exists and is called forester…
Awesome as usual Chris! One of my favorite new features in this release is the GPU accelerated picture viewer!

Love the .sbsar drag and drop feature! It's super!
Thanks Chris, really useful. The Branch Spline Modifier is awesome as well!
super nice. thx
Thanks Sir 🙏
The key-reducer update is a very welcome one

Love the branches of branches, definitely have some ideas growing on that (no pun indented 🙃) - thanks for sharing ❤
Branch modifier is dope!!!
branch modifier is what i looking for! thx
Thanks Rocket
Thanks a lot!
I think there's also some formula effector changes as well-old scenes not working anymore
Great Video, btw Stage object still not working!

I have the same problem.
@@Azadegan-b2y they have fixed it in this version thank god! 👌
Cinema4d is finally in 2023 getting somewhere. :D
In this new update Rs AOVs does not show in picture viewer.. and it is confirmed as a bug by Maxon. Why every new update creates a heart break ?

I’ve been experiencing a lot of instability in C4D 2024. Particularly in Redshift. Crashes constantly in comparison to 2023.

I want to use this platform to express the hope that MAXON will correct the behavior of Line Cut in Parallel projection mode
Making a Plasma Electric Ball using branches is possible now. A tutorial from you would be so cool.
I actually have an example file of a plasma ball in the Asset Browser already using the Electric Spline Modifier!
question:
if i want spam modling
is c4d or fusion 360 batter?
Hi Chris. Do you know when the forces tab bug was fixed please? I didn't see this mentioned in any release notes, perhaps I missed it!
Hmm? Can you be more specific?

Why cant i move any object with a rigid body tag but you are doin it fine?

i dont use c4d but i saw this video and thought "hmm is this the andrew price of c4d" hahahaha
good one tho

Mesh to spline just crashes now in R24.
Hi there Timothy. Could email us at tech support so we can get you all sorted out? rocketlasso.com/support/
Jezuz. How do you not know about the Project asset inspector. I suppose it's more likely part of your workflow for environments and big scenes.
interface come back to R23. C4D 2024. interface 's Very very very difficult to use
Too bad this software is crazy expensive. Even Houdini is cheaper.
