I somehow ended up down the rabbit hole of your comment section and I have to say... I think it's pretty incredible that you've replied to every comment, and to top it off, every negative or hateful comment to you, you came back with a compliment to them.. wow! We need more of this in America right now! Thank you.
Hey Shayne, I appreciate you taking the time to watch some of my content, and even comment! I believe in order to successfully grow a channel you need to interact with your audience as much as possible, if they are taking the time out of their day to actually leave a content, I want them to know I appreciate it. More importantly, I completely agree with you that we need more love, or turn the other cheek, civility--whatever you want to call it in this country of ours. I'm often trying to "be the change you wish to see." Good stuff!
@Daniel Simon love your channel, it's awesome, do you know best places to get graphic kit for 2014 Groms?

Christian: *spends like 1 million dollars on grom mods*
LMAO!!! I'm dead! I'm showing this comment to him immediately!

My first motorcycle a 250cc 🏍 vlog
ua-cam.com/video/950_EJ6p0Xs/v-deo.html 🔥
Picked up mine 2 days ago. Best thing zipping around town. The seat must be made of wood, that'll be the first to go.
Congrats! They're amazingly fun but yes, the stock seat is a buzzkill. Let me know what seat you end up with
Im trying to buy one thanks for letting me know i also have to look into a new seat
Seat blows!! What did you end up getting? Looking for one now.
@@lifeofky4037 Still looking. I live in a very remote town in Western Australia, I don't think i'll be have anymore kids if I dont change the stock seat soon. I built up bikes in Vietnam and you could literally go to a shop, have the seat custom cut to fit your butt during your lunch break.
The seat change helps but no matter how good the seat is that you get, the suspension quality for how low you are to the ground is the biggest issue when it comes to comfort for your rear end. But i mean its 3500 so it is what it is
Been looking to get a grom for a few months now, this vid is a huge help! Got right to the point and was great isolating the different ares of the bike that could be modded, will definitely look into your recommendations!
You guys rock, I'm literally just about to take the Grom for a spin with the newly installed Chimera Intake and reflashed ECU from DHM, I'm installing the cam when I'm a bit more sober....Tomorrow!. A big shout out to DHM, They shipped from the USA to Derby in the West Kimberley(very remote town in Western Australia) in great time . They answered every question in a timely manner.
I'm happy to say that I'm now the president of the West Kimberley Grom floggers riders club. We have a total membership of one😆
Every good organization worth their salt starts with one, and experiences organic word of mouth growth! That's how our little squad started, I cant tell you how many times I've seen other groms riding I didn't know and chased them down to tell them "there are others" lol! Congrats on your DHM modded grom, David never disappoints, he's a good guy.
Thank you for showing off your bikes and detailing the mods. Love my Grom and can't wait to mod mine further.
Suckit Google you’re very welcome, thank you for watching!
Oh man I’m so new to the scene I loved this video! Great content and overview of common mods. Good hosting job too, I feel like I was watching TV.
Well welcome to the channel, and to the grom life! Thank you for the compliment, I try to provide information dense videos!
Awesome comparison video. I've only watched two of your videos and I have already learned a ton. Thank you very much.
Awesome video mate. So much good info, ive done zoom exhaust, chimera intake and pc5. Awesome mods! Thanks for the advice. I agree, the original tyres are sketchy too. Will look at upgrading them.
That's awesome, those 3 performance mods get you where you need to be without compromising engine reliability! Get you some Michelin Power Pures, they're great on street! Thanks for watching!
Man I wish I could give this video 100 thumbs up currently saving for a grom putting 200$ a paycheque away so I can buy one in cash and all my riding gear! Thank you so much for the great information you put out about these mini bikes and keep up the great work!!!
I'm so glad to hear you're finding value! You're going to love it, and good for you for doing it right and saving to purchase one and all your gear cash! Let me know when you get it!
Just got a grom today and this video covered pretty much everything I was looking to do. The blinkers do the most for the looks of a bike in my opinion, I'm surprised they're that cheap.
5k likes bro!! Really good vid bud, very informative. I wish it was as easy to get stunt parts in the uk
Love the grom in the background looks mint and should be getting a grom soon so thank u for this videov
Glad you enjoyed it :) Thank yo for watching!
Thx for a great video. I'm looking into groms and my head spins thinking of all the customizations.
Exactly!! Half the fun of owning them is customizing them! Hope you get one, let me know if you do! Thanks for commenting!
Just picked up my first grom, excited to get started on upgrading it!
Modding it is one of the best and most addicting parts of grom ownership, get that credit card ready!
Excellent review and explanation of the how's and why's of Grom modding!! Enjoyed it very much!!
I really appreciate the kind comment, thank you!
just got an ‘18 grom with the protapers and a yoshi exhaust, very informative video definitely gonna look into a lot of things you mentioned in the video!
Excellent video. everything I wanted to know!
I appreciate the comment, thank you for watching!
dope vid man, love your groms
Thanks for watching and commenting! I really appreciate it, you have a grom?
I found this 3 years after the original upload but I'm saving this video. Might not have a grom or clone but I'll definitely use this video as a starting point when I get one! Great job on the video, you make me want one now.
I'm truly glad that there are still people like yourself out there finding value in the content, thanks for commenting!
one thing i would also recommend for the stunt grom is a aftermarket oil pickup line or whatever it’s called cause when you’re doing wheelies on a stock grom all the oil goes to the bottom end and leaves the top end dry and it’ll smoke your motor
Hello from the future. Thank you so much for making this video! Very informative, not hyping anything, and covered various types of mods. Thank you!
Now that's a thorough review. Good information.
Appreciate it my friend, glad you found value!
Great video man! I've watched 2 more of your other videos. Solid advice! Subbed and hit the bell!
Means the world to me brother, thank you so much for subbing and watching, stay tuned!
Good stuff man. Very informative.
Appreciate it! That's what the channel's goal is!
I am currently looking at getting my very first bike and diving into the rabbit hole of Grom videos and research over the last few months hopefully can find a good deal on one soon and pick her up before my very first child, my daughter gets here haha going to have to manage my budget between the two! This video was very insightful and I appreciate all your shared knowledge and opinions. I hope you're still doing well and riding the Grom
If budget is a concern, look at the clones too. I’ve got two for almost half the price, shipped to my door. Gotta do a few extra safety checks and basic mods you’d end up doing anyways. But it’s cheap and they’re fun as hell!
Hey CT, great video, thanks for putting it together.
Do you have anymore information on the front fork kit?
Thanks for watching and commenting! The springs are Race tech, Tactical Mindz has them, but I believe you can pic kthem up cheaper currently on Amazon.
Great info ! Just got my grom yesterday
Congrats bro! Enjoy! be safe and get into a group to ride locally in your area!
This is a helpful video because I’m planning on buying my Grom soon but I was very interested in looking for how much parts will be to help me budget out how much I wanna save! Thank you!
As someone who is looking at picking up their first bike and has fallen in love with the Grom, your videos are superb. Thank you for the content. Could I get something else? Absolutely. I keep coming back to the Grom, though.
That's how I got 3 years ago man, I've had several groms now and have never looked back! They are so much fun! Very glad you're enjoying my content! Keep watching!
@@CTGromer Absolutely.
Good stuff! I just bought mine two months ago and I've been modding it weekly and uploading it on my channel.
Love your channel, subscribed to it!
CT Gromer Same here! 🤙🏽
Just got a Grom today from Action Honda. This video is gold and when he said $13 for the tail light I was like oh shit I’m gonna have like 3 different built Groms. So many parts and options to choose from. Can’t wait to dive in!
Its a deep Pandora's box my friend, welcome! Congrats on the new grom, hope the content helps you!
Thank you for the video and mod list in the description 👍🏻
I'm really glad you enjoyed the content and took the time to watch and comment!
52k views! Dam gratz man.
Thank you very much. I can't believe it. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Hi Daniel, your Video really helped me out to find the best setup for my Grom. Thank you very much.
Best regards from Germany

Cool mods and video. Groms 🤘
I appreciate the compliment, glad you're enjoying the content!
@@CTGromer yah im hoping to get a grom soon, gonna use it to learn parking lot stunts
Just grabbed a 2020 grom. Only had 35 miles on it. Score! Seat bars and back fender delete are first. Thanks for the info
Awesome bro! Congrats!!!
I just found your channel.. and the 1st 3m of your video made me subscribe.. love the detail info for sure.. vid is a little long but still like it..
I really appreciate the feedback! Thank you for the sub!
Man I would love one of these for my commute to work!!
fantastic video
Really good and informative video👌🏻one important thing you missed was the oil mod or am I wrong?
Im new to Grom, so trying to learn😊
why does everyone miss the oil pump mod
justin off ahhh man you’re right! Completely forgot about this mod under “stunt mods”. Probably because I don’t do long wheelies. Christian does though, his bike (vinyl wrapped one) has it, just forgot to discuss it!
@@CTGromer What is that mod? Did he get a kit for it or did he drill a hole?
@@myovertime5991 Thanks for watching the video! Christian just drilled hole in the case and used two 90 degree brass fittings and copper tubing. tons of youtube videos on this. He says if he could do it all again, he would buy an oil pump from "Straight up pumps" Check them out!
@@CTGromer Thanks, I'll bookmark it right now! I'm looking at selling my 2018 mt-07 next year and buying a stunt grom, doing all my research now because I'm too excited haha. Awesome video btw!
@Dodge Rider my homie romps on his built143 highway all day and doesnt see over 250. no oil cooler
Glad you talked about the vee rubbers.
Those things are a death sentence especially for a new rider.
I went maxxis and will happily never come back.
Awesome video man.
Subscribed!
Mr. E Potato thanks for subbing and commenting! Means a lot! Those Vees are trash! Getting me some Michelin’s this summer!
Great video
Thanks for commenting and watching!
GREAT VIDEO!!!
PLEASE KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!
"GROM~0N" !!!
Thanks so much for the kind words! More content dropping soon!
Nice Video man. I would encourage people to check your local laws before you start doing the integrated blinkers. In my state blinkers are required to be 9 inches apart. I'm sure that is why manufacturers have these big blinkers that stick out so far from the bike, it allows them to meet all the different state laws. I found this out the hard way on one of my other bikes. The ticket cost me about 5 times what the cost of the blinker integration did. For the Grom I just went with some smaller LED blinkers.
Thanks for commenting and good insight, the same laws apply here, it either 9 or 10 inches between the two blinkers to be legal here in CA. I dont personally mess with the blinkers for that reason.
Nice video bro
I really appreciate it brother, thanks for watching and commenting!
Great video! I'm thinking of riding, I have zero experience, besides driving cars. Probably start with some classes, and see how it feels.
Thanks for watching and commenting! There’s nothing like riding a motorcycle! Grom or my other bike - a Honda Trail 90 make outstanding learning bikes do to there relatively low power, low seat height and low maintenance engines. You can learn very safely and move up slowly! Enjoy! Good luck!
Tamim Suhail
Lots of community colleges have the classes. In some states (Nevada one of them) the class gets you out of taking the test at DMV as their end of class test is exact same... take class paperwork to DMV, get photo taken, give an autograph and cash and get your license mailed to you...
Most classes have multiple bikes, try a couple types... have fun!
Tamim Suhail get a dirt bike it’s the most safe way to learn how to ride. If you have a friend with a 125 try to ride their bike to get a feel for the clutch than get a 250 so you can feel some power. Riding in the dirt is more slippery than the road so it helps you learn what your tires can do with out sliding out. Than you can feel comfortable getting a normal size bike to ride on the road. I started with a 125 when I was 11 got a 250 when I was 15 than when I was 22 I was able to ride my dads Harley Davidson dyna glide with no problem and that’s a fairly good sized bike. I still have the Harley since he gave it to me when he passed but I’m working on getting it running again. Hopefully you’ve got something to ride on by now.
Hands down the best grom upgrade video ever!
that means a lot, I really appreciate the kind comment! Thank you very much for watching!
@@CTGromer you should ride with him hear in winter
@@brianciszewski6417 Ride with who? Christian?
Your guys came and purple grom looks real nice. Makes me want to get a grom the same way. Lol
Christian made those grips with a blend of rubber and asphalt. Boom done.
He does that-- very resourceful guy! He's got an even nicer grip and bar end setup now. Might have to do an update video!
oil radiator, question: Did You take readings of oil temperature before fit radiator? just curious.
Ive fit oil temp sensor coz had issue to oil engine contamination of water, condensation, monitored, top was 120cel at outdoor temp 35cel, summer, other days mild low temp max was 85cel. Base at UK.
Hey thanks for watching and commenting! No, I didn't do any before and after measurements, I purchased the bike with the oil cooler attached.
The views don’t stop climbing on this one 🔥
Must be that killer thumbnail!! Thats the only thing I can contribute it to
I just bought my '17 grom with 10420 miles two days ago! First motorcycle ever!
Dude congrats!!!! Make sure you find out where your local grom scene is and start going on some group rides!
Right on Michael. Welcome to the world of motorcycles. It is a love that will last for a lifetime. I got my first motorcycle in 1976. A Indian Mx 100. White with red letters. Cool bike for a 6 yr old. Buying a grom in March.
That's awesome
March may come early. I just applied for a 2018 grom. Black/gray color 250 miles. 👍😎
@@jerryoakley5973 LETS GOOO!!!!! That's awesome man! Good luck!
Was looking for a video like this for my 2019 grom. Great video thanks for sharing definitely subscribing
joshua rivera congrats on your new Grom! Thank you for the sub and welcome to the channel!
Loved your video, straightforward, and kept it real with what upgrades you actually need/want. Also are there any frame sliders that you can get instead of the rear sets, to save the bike plastics.
I really appreciate the compliment, thank you. I don't use them and can't recommend a specific brand, but I know guys in our squad run them, and axle sliders too.
Most likely gonna look into these mods once I get my Grom especially the integrated & smoked turn signal indicators.
Glad you enjoyed found something you want to do! Getting a grom is a good choice! Thanks for commenting!
Great video on Grom upgrades Daniel, why didn't you mention the big boar kits? Being a stunt rider we have taken Honda CRF 50s and put big boar kits on them to get the extra umph we need to get the front wheel up and there seems to be a lot of big boar kits for the Groms now.
Hey man new on this Grom scene but I really like how informative your content to me as a new rider. I have a question do I need a power commander if i set up a yosh and a chimera short ram.? Thankz more power to your channel.
Congrats on joining the scene, and thanks so much for the compliment on the channel! The short version answer to your question: Yes, you need AFR correction. Cheapest way to do it would be to send your ECU to DHMotoring and have him flash it. For more understanding on this topic I actually just did a video on AFR: ua-cam.com/video/kK4li_-YqvI/v-deo.html
Great Content
I appreciate the compliment, thank you for taking the time to watch and comment :)
Christian is just flexing his sick looking grom 🥳🥳😭😭
Good video bro. Just picked up a real Grom to play with. (have the Grom clone "hellcougar") maybe see you on the road someday.
Would love to, where abouts you from?
@@CTGromer Connecticut, saw CT Gromer and assumed you were from CT...
@@MotoCheez A lot of people get confused by that. I'm from california. The CT in my name refers to the CT90, my first bike.
Great video man! Just subbed, awesome stuff bro
Thank you so much for the sub! I really appreciate you watching, hopefully you found value!
Thank you! i have been trying to find a good mod video for groms for a while now. you made it simple, to the point with pleeennntttyyyy of info and you give WHY answers! #SUBSCRIBED
I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed and learned something from the content! Thank you so much for subscribing! I hope you continue to enjoy the content!
@@CTGromer one last thing, do you have links by chance? I'm trying to find the rearsets and wheelie bar here but all I'm able to come up with are the cheap ones from ebay that look tacky ha.
@@alyshaberg www.zzcustomdesigns.com/index.html for rearsets and: selfmadefabrication.bigcartel.com/product/honda-grom-12-bar-subcage for 12' bar
Great vid, thanks. Is there much/any difference between the different manufacture years of Grom, or are they all the same ... ?
Thanks so much for the kind words! Yes, the "OG" Groms were available new from 2014-2015. The new "SF" models are from 2017-2019 now. The differences are mostly cosmetic, most notable being the new LED headlight and the big hump in the stock seat of the SF. The SF has restyled plastics and rear sets and most of them have IRC tires instead of Vee Rubbers. From an engine and performance standpoint, nothing is different.
CT Gromer - Great, thank you Sir! Thanks for the reply and keep up the great vids! Be well - K
@@kierenmoore3236 Same to you! Thanks for watching the content!
Hey there, nice clip!!
What do you think about SC Project or Akaprovic exhaust?
I will only change this part..
I'd go Akaprovic by far if those are your choices, the SC Project is cheap and comparable to the AR Exhaust a lot of my friends have. its SUPER loud and will eventually fall apart. The Akaprovic looks much nicer, but i have no personal experience with them.
@@CTGromer well so far those are the noises I prefer, but yes the price of the SC is very good, but I don't want to buy an exhaust every year.. 😂
The oil spinner reminds me of the old Triumph's with their sludge trap.
Honda's been doing it this way on their motors since the 60s, tried and true low-tech solutions.
Hey man I'm located in Long Island New York where u guys from .. I don't really have any friends so videos is where I get my knowledge ,but I wish I had the knowledge or friends who know and could help ..but I have a motorbike and I need to finesse the carb or something probably other things too so I can maximize the hp ..but I am trying to learn how..u seem to have alot of skills when it comes to motorcycles..great video BTW and happy riding
Hey Dan, thank you for the nice comment. Get in there and fix that carb, they're not too difficult, youtube is how I've learned everything that I've learned about motorcycles too, especially maintenance.
Loved your video could you send me a link to a power commander 5 as there’s so many to pick from and I’m not sure what I’m looking at tbh
amzn.to/3uWQCzD Here you go bud, this is an affiliate link as well, if you order from this link, it supports the channel!
Would buying just the racer mini by itself help with the lean condition or will I have to buy the AF1 controller with it ? Both together are real expensive
I believe you can buy it by itself, unlike the PCV, this REPLACES the stock ECU. It looks to be adjustable, but it also looks like the product is discontinued. I don't know much about them, as I've never used them and don't have any buddies that have. Thanks for watching the video!
I learned to wheelie on a stock sprocket it was hard but I learned now well I’m able to keep it up for almost all wheeies
One other thing I’m an old man that still rides. I’m not into wheelies and stunting but I would like the Grom to have a bit more top end so I’m going with a 16T front sprocket and 32T Rear I like cruising!
sounds like u want ur buddies grom and not yours
thanks for watching, it's a nice bike, no doubt! Think he'd sell it to me? I'm to scared to ask him
CT Gromer
Tell him you have a yt subscriber that you met and is curious what he would sell it for.... if he gives you a price you’re willing to spend say, “shit, for that price, I’ll buy it!”
“And BOOM goes the dynamite.” -Cleveland Brown
You forgot to mention the Pro Taper bars , levers and rear sets. Although you are mostly talking about performance, these would still be cool mentionables.
I did mention bars and rearsets- gotta watch the whole thing bro! Thanks for commenting :)
Hey man awesome vid. What is a reasonable price for these groms. I’m in the market for one and I’m planning on installing mods but I don’t know if What I should look for in terms of price. What are your thoughts or anyone else who reads this.
The first mod i did was to change out the Vee Rubber tires. Running ContiScoot now. What a world of difference. :)
Oh heck yeah dude, best safety mod out there. How do you like them? I run the Michelin power pures!
@@CTGromer The compound is definitely alot stickier. Liking it so far. I wanted the Michelins but they were out of stock. Those Vee Rubbers had to go. Haha. :)
I would suggest getting the MSX 1 mid fairing kit it look SICK!
I do agree they look great!
iv got a question im getting toce exhaust an cold air intake and i wanted to do the ecu at same time but i dont have the funds for a dyno jet what do you think about the DHM REFLASH AND TB CAM PACKAGE? with the intake an toce exhaust
I can tell you exactly what I think of it, I got it and installed it and still run it: ua-cam.com/video/t7xqQPafvF8/v-deo.html I love it!
A lot of good ideas for the grom here. The most important are the first mods ie intake exhaust tuner and esp oil cooler and filter. Esp if you live in the south but i'd do it in the north too, is the oil cooler. Get a temp gauge if your oil is over 170 you need the cooler and i bet it will be. Interesting the narrator of the well done video has the cooler but downplays its usefulness. Also to go with the cooler is high output oil pump.
I'd recommend if you're stunting and don't have money for a cage, leave the stock fender on. It's saved my brake light and rear plastics quite a few times when I looped
That sounds like a great idea! Never thought of that, thanks for commenting!
Hi CT, I would like to put a air intake on my bike since I already had a amazon exhaust. Which intake would you recommend? Chimera or Dinger Built? Is it worth going for Dinger Built since it's more expensive then Chimer? thank
I have had zero issues with my Chimera, and really like it. I'd grab the Chimera.
Hopefully picking up the mini me in a week or two! 😍😍😍
Good luck! Let me know if you get one!
@@CTGromer Not if, but when in about 2 weeks! I live in remote Western Australia its a 1800 kilometre round trip to pick it up! Be interesting to see how it handles the Gibb River road!
Hey good video. For the Raptors handle bars. Would the risers be one inch ?
Thanx
I like the front signal with an smoked lens an led bulb . Easy an very nice 👍
I agree, much more stylish and subtle. The big orange stock turn signals are awful.
Im looking at a Grom as a daily commuter. 30 miles one way. low traffic highway and dirt roads for most of it. thanks for the tips.
Can it do it? Yes. Would it be the best bike for a commute like that? Probably not just from a comfort standpoint. But if you're a young guy, go for it. It'll be a fun commute every day!
Just picked up my first grom! Already put 1400 miles on it in a month. I’m also in CT!! What town are you from?
I see many different prices for that power commander. what should I expect to actually be paying?
ColdLegend214 $350 ish seems to be the going rate, the wide-band auto-tune O2 sensor is another $250.
@@CTGromer thanks i've got a lot to learn
@@Coldlegend214 Happy to help if you have any other questions brother, hopefully you're getting to ride lots now that Spring is here!
Question if I don’t want to waste to much or do it much to my grom
Do you think the Yoshimura exhaust rs9-t, dhm performance ecu flash, and chimera air intake is enough? If so would I need to do anything to the grom by adding these parts ?
Question... Is the clutch cover you mention compatible with the wheelie friendly oil pump? essentially its an OEM oil pump with a hose that goes to the back of the case so no matter the angel it can get oil and pump it
Where in the central valley are you guys? I'm near Fresno and want to know if and where you do ride outs.
Ryan Lake we are in Fresno and Clovis! We ride all the time, do you have a Grom? Shoot me your Instagram username and we will link up!
aircooligan
Hit me up
Thoughts on just using the KN OEM style filter, and exhaust if a tuner would be needed?
Dropping to a 14t in the front, can you reuse the stock chain?
Thanks for watching the video! With a simple switch to a 14 in front (rear stays stock) you should be able to just tighten the slack out of the chain with your chain tensioners. Though, to do it right, I would pick up a cheap master link and dremel a link out, that way you will still have some play on your chain tensioners as the stock chain stretches.
With the emissions in Cali. I’m gonna be moving there. How do you pass emissions with the exhaust intake and tuning
There is currently no emissions testing for motorcycles in california so you'll be fine. its just nearly impossible to get aftermarket exhausts and intakes and programmers online to ship to california anymore.
Great video. Is the Yosi the best pipe?
In my opinion, its the best pipe for making power, yes.
Hi there , I would like to know if on this video your from was still having the original cylinder ? Thanks in advance 😃✌🏽
Yep, had the original cylinder then, and still on the original cylinder now over 4,000 miles of wide open throttle, though I did just upgrade to a high compression piston!
I will for 200 lb and I want to get a Grom highway 265 do you think those things in hold me
Thanks fore watching the video, it will definitely hold you! I have friends that ride them that weight more than you!
Subbd, great video man
Subbed
Thank you so much! I appreciate it!
Dose the chimera 5 have a program for the KEMIMOTO exhaust and the chimera intake?
Nice mods make the bike look total different..but for me since I'm a old dude I'll just go with the seats, lic plate bracket, exhaust and front sprocket..
