@@jonweaver9373 we'll have to check that out. We did try Brown Mountain OHV on NYE but it was CRAZY busy with SXS and Quads. I guess we should have gone just a little bit further over to Brown Mountain Beach RD.
Thanks for watching. Yes that was a beauty of a campsite. Our pup really loved it as well. He was literally in the water all day long. The rock slider/air tanks really seem to help out when we start to air back up
Hey I just sort of stumble on your video / channel. Just so happens I’m going to be doing a trip to that exact area next weekend! Thanks for the video!
That is a neat idea using the sliders as air tanks. I have a spare tire that has 2 tire valves. Unfortunately, it is a high volume low psi tank that holds about 11 gallons of air but it does work great at helping the compressor out. I do plan on removing the rear muffler and installing an air tank down there one day. Another nice area to explore this winter. Are the gates closed due to time of year or private property?
That’s a cool idea too using the spare as a air tank. Anything helps to take a little bit of the load of the compressor. Yeah the gates close usually around the hunting seasons.
Awesome, Thank you for subscribing! Glad you liked the video and thank you for watching. This time of year should be beautiful in that area with the leaf change.
We love Highlands. My wife’s family had a cabin for many years in Horse Cove. There are some great dispersed campsites in the Blue Valley Campground not far from Highlands. We made our first trip to Moab this past summer. So amazing! Thank you for subscribing.
@@GetOverItOutdoors LOL… small world! We are on Flat mountain! I know Phillips and Mitchel’s down horse cove.. maybe we’ll run into each other one day.. MOAB is a blast.. That would cool running into each other up there. May have to hit you up next time we’re up that way. Chicken Corners is definitely on our list next time we head out to Moab. We did White Rim trail, Fins and Things, Poison Spider, and Hells Revenge.
@@GetOverItOutdoors Absolutely! Don’t hesitate! Whooo…hells revenge…fins and things! Nice!! I want to do those as well but was nervous doing them alone..
Love the video! Going to the overland expo in Virgina in October and on our way back to Orlando we plan to go through this area. Do you have your gaia route ypu could share by any chance?
So glad you liked the video! I unfortunately don’t have a Gaia route for this trip but a lot of the trail riding was on Musterground Rd. by Lower Whitewater Falls. The First campsite was in the Blue Valley dispersed camping area and the campsite at the end was on the eastern end of the Georgia Traverse on a spur off of Burrell Ford Rd. Hope this helps. Have a Great time at ExpoEast. We loved Expo West last year.
Thanks so much for Subbing! I watch videos of other UA-camrs in these areas. I put together clues (road signs, large geographical sites, etc.) in their videos and then jump on Google earth and start scouring the areas for trails and possible campsites. I also use GaiaGps a lot when putting together routes and trails
@@GetOverItOutdoors Very cool! Thats basically what I have tried to do. Where are you all based out of? We are from Charleston SC but travel to the upstate and NC areas quite a bit.
We're from St. Pete, FL. My wife's a teacher so most of trips are around the major holidays, Spring Break or during summer. It's hard to travel that far from a long weekend.
I'm sorry I don't have the exact gps coordinates but the first one in the video was in Blue Valley Campground area. There are several dispersed/primitive campsites in the area. The campsite at the end of the video in near the beginning of the Georgia Traverse from the east. Off of Burrells Ford Road
150psi baby! Don’t follow to close! Also runs my blow gun. There always empty til just before we get to the end of the trail, that’s when I kick the compressor on to fill them up.
Ok deal! Lol! I think she was actually stabbing the tin foil wrapped baked potatoes below the grate on the coals. I’ll have to go back and look at the video.
Musterground is my backyard! Love this area so much!
You are lucky to have that as your backyard. We agree it is a great area to explore! thanks for watching and commenting.
