I'm glad to see someone else who includes coordinates in their videos and doesn't hold them ransom in return for a Patreon subscription. If ya'll are ever in VA let me know. I'd love to meet up!
It's never made sense to me. I don't own these locations, why should I keep it a secret unless you pay me? Plus, people are going to ask where it is anyway. We love VA and WV, I'll definitely let you know.
@@SpartanOverland Agree 100%! I can see maybe offering gpx tracks of a trip as a premium feature, but just telling people where a public trail is? Come on!
Great video..I would love to join you on one of your adventures..I love western Carolina.I am hitting Chestnut Mountain Rd starting at Rainbow Falls and ending in SC near Lake Jocasse.
I grew up in WNC. Live near Raleigh now but try to visit often, have family there. Daughter is in school in Cullowhee, yes, you said it right. Great video! I need to hit these trails.
@@SpartanOverland Thanks for watching. You're right, I'm sure we'll cross paths. Wish we could get up that way more. We'll definitely be on the lookout for your rig.
Max patch can bw accessed either off interstaye 40 taking tge harmona den exit or you can go off hwy 25 that runa from newport tn towards hot springs,nx. Take the del rio hwy 107 exit and drive till you reach i want to say round or house mountain road that will run you from the northwest side up to max patch. It is a nice gravel access road. You can look up that route on bing maps.
Fantastic video. Can you tell me how to get to that final campsite at Cullowhee? I found it on Google Maps using your coordinates but I can't tell how to access it. It's only about 5 miles from my mountain home near Sylva. Thanks!
With the rise in popularity of off-roading, trails and even public lands all over the country are being closed to vehicle traffic. The culprits are not HOAs, Karens, or nosy seniors. It’s morons that tear up trails, destroy neighboring land off trail, and leave garbage everywhere. I blame UA-camrs and IG. Social media has brought out the worst in us.
if you arent pushing the limits of how much crap can be stuffed under your truck are you even "over land??" you need to be over as much land as possible

Great Campsite....
Great location! We love to join you someday in the near future. We wonder you run as a tour guide or everybody brings his/her own stuff?
We're looking into some options right now for ways people can join us on trips.
Great video guys! Gotta love WNC! Right in my backyard!
It's probably the best part of the state.

Absolutely! We're going to do some open group rides soon, make sure you're following us on social media to see when we do that.
Thanks for watching!
@@SpartanOverland Ok Thanks I will
Thanks for sharing. looks like a great time.
Nice music selection!
Thanks! We've been trying to find the right balance between music and natural sounds.
Great video! I think I'm becoming a real fan! :P
Well we appreciate it!
Great video, another one to add to my list of trails to do this year.
Thanks! It's a super fun weekend trip.

Great video Sir! Enjoyed the narration and your take on the route. Wonderful edit.
Thanks! I was watching some of your vids and thought "man.. we're riding the same trails it's amazing we've never crossed paths!"

Hittin' up WNC like a boss! Nice to see you guys wheelin' in my neck of the woods. See you guys soon!
It really is the best part of NC.
@@SpartanOverland don’t have to convince me! I live here! Haha
Dude it’s crazy how good your videos are!
Thanks man!
I know its been minute since this was put out. Thank you for the video. What tire size and lift are you running ? Please.
@@dockruzic thanks for watching! The Tacoma has a 2.5in lift and 35" Maxxis RAZT mt's.

We typically come into Max Patch from the Hot Springs side, that way we can continue through to Hurricane Creek & Buzzards Roost.
I just bought a 2022 Ford Ranger FX4. Can you recommend a beginner trail that has some scenery near Asheville NC?
This route is great for that. Google "Hurricane Creek" and you can find the trail. It's right off of I40.
@@SpartanOverland Thanks so much.
I'm in the great state of Wilkesboro would love to catch you guys on a weekend adventure with my FJ
The Big City! Absolutely, we're always looking to meet new people to ride with!
Looks like fun....i think my truck could only do level 2 trails...... 😂😂😂😂😂
You'd probably be surprised what your vehicle can do.

It's on private property, you have to book it through Hipcamp.
@@SpartanOverland Thanks, I appreciate it!
Isn’t hurricane creek a one way trail?
No, it's definitely a one lane trail and I'm sure plenty of people have a preferred direction, but it can be done either way.
Another awesome video friends! How did you guys like the new tent?
So far we're really happy. The next video we spend 8 days up north camping in it. Much better than our old CVT.
@@SpartanOverland I’m needing to replace one on my trailer that vets use for sleeping and I’m in the market.
Well it just happens that I'm the point of contact for these in the South East. Shoot me a message
Hey what fire pit are you using?
It's a "pop-up fire pit" by Fireside Outdoor. They're about $100 on Amazon, but absolutely worth it.
Great video guys. I'm a WNC native and this is some are I haven't explored much. Any chance you guys used a .GPX file for the route?
Thanks for watching!
I should still have a track for it. Message me on Instagram and I'll try to get you a link for it.
@@SpartanOverland Don't guess you still have the tracks you traveled? New overlander and NC resident.
I might. I'll have to check my Gaia. Shoot me a message on IG.
Why do you use a metal fork on a non stick Teflon pan.. not a good idea!
