I love watching musicians and producers talk about music. I feel the same way. Music is a feel. It's a way of life. I feel it in my blood. There is no me as I know me. Life without music is dead.
Come on this video was just sold as an extra dvd with the Neptunes album this video is funny but it shows really nothing about the Neptunes work and technical aspect
"What do you do when you have a TV that don't work? You put one that works on top of the one that's broke". LOL, so true. I did that shit in high school back in the 90's.
That's legit most people tbh. Passion begins to diminish as you get older(right around late 30's). Which is why a lot of old hobbies fall to the way side for a lot of people as they age. You think more and talk less, reflect more prior to reacting etc.
The Neptunes has mastered sound & production I’m gonna try to name 3 songs they did that are my favorite which is very hard Lavish by Twista, Allure by jay-z & I’m a G by Noreaga fuck it ima add two more boss man by beanie man & last night by Justin Timberlake those 5 beats omg how can I forget keys open doors by the Clipse okay Ima head out because I’ll be here all night 🤣🤣🤣
Why should I Be Sad - Britney Spears, Let's Take A Ride - Justin Timberlake, We Get Money - The Clipse. There is not certain ones by The Neptunes bro. I agree. We'll be here all night. 🤣😂🤣😂
Pharrell wrote all the songs including the hooks, did the drums, bass, and vocal arrangements. Chad did the keyboards, synths, and a lot of the technical stuff. I’d say it was more like 65% Pharrell and 35% Chad.
What he said in the first few minutes, is the reason why I would rather focus on theory with shitty gear., than have a bunch of a gear and make shitty songs.
Literally the most I’ve seen Chad talk ever.
love what he said about the kick and the snare moving your neck and back
depends on what genre of music
true
@@JayCasinoOfficial Play Hardstyle and it will break your back lol
Great analogy and perspective for ppl making beats
Chad Hugo gets overlooked way too much.
He’s the saxophone player on Jay-Z’s City Is Mine. Teddy Riley helped put them on in the ‘90s.
I think he chose to take the backseat and stay behind the scenes. Some people don’t care about fame, they just wanna make their money and dip.

He’s just not as loud as other “celebrity’s”....he still gets his props tho

Chad is the reason why I have a splice account
Pharell the idea man and Chad the finisher.

Modular synths are bigger than ever now.

2003. It's an extract from the cd+dvd edition of "The Neptunes present.... Clones" album
This ain't shot in South Carolina... MasterSound is a studio in VA Beach... I know EXACTLY where it is (Across from Lynhaven Mall)

@robg317 MasterSound is no where near Lynnhaven
I have a feeling Chad Hugo did 90% of the music
Chad is the engineer and also creator. Pharrell has great ideas and chad has the technical ability to bring them out.
