Finneas and Timbaland are very similar. A super music nerd would say they could replicate it, but they can’t, because the two have taste and know the importance of sound selection and restraint. Adding more and being technical isn’t always better, as it is about the experience of enjoying the music. Kind of like how the best pasta dishes have so few ingredients that synergize. There is a technicality to the restraint, but it takes good taste.

I got his mix demo that came with Logic Pro. I solo'd the vocals & heard the headphones bleed. It made me realize that we spend too much time worrying about things that don't matter... like headphones bleed

@@svengali5862 You are making no logical sense. Sorry, I'm not following your thought process. I don't think anyone who produces music thinks a great mixing engineer isn't important. I was pointing out that many of us wring our hands over headphones bleed. Since a great mixing engineer like Finneas (based on his success and seemingly natural ability that a lot of us DON'T have already) doesn't seem to worry about it as much, maybe we shouldn't either. It was really meant as a joke. Since you seem to know a lot about it yourself, how about showing us your work? I'm interested to hear what you've done
