Everyone is not a piano player, however this guy is a genius because of his ideas in his head as a producer. This individual sees the project through the whole process. As a producer, you do not have to be a piano player or ever a musician to be great or good. Ideas alone makes you a producer to direct the thoughts that are within your heart that manifest itself into a song. P.S I am a piano player so I Know.
kinda true but you wouldnt be able to do it alone. kinda like how steve jobs didnt invent the iphone. he had the idea and a good team.or how you dont have to draw to do be the creative director of a clothing company. you can tell someone your ideas and work with them to bring the idea to life
@@_Maxten No one does anything alone. If you came up with the idea, it's yours. In order to execute your idea, you need the right people to bring it to fruition. Inventors don't always just come up with the idea and make the finish product themselves. You do as much as you can and be as descriptive as you can. At some point, you will need help. But that dosen't take way from the fact you came up with it. That's why jobs got the bread and was in charge. He knew limitations so he surrounded himself with people who could execute his vision. Those are the facts. That's how it works.

Ruthwik Rao negative and dont reach with comparisons like that. You just come off as defensive like if u had an actual mpc in front of you instead of 808 wav sounds shot to shit after countless compression and u had no idea what to do with it. Facts are facts. Analog sounds better than digital plain and simple. Musicians with the ear can all agree. Not fl studio newbs.
***** but not everyone today can afford analog and dedicated studios to make music. To begin with, not everyone want to spend huge amounts of money buying expensive hardware and tools to make music when they can replicate the sound digitally. Why does it matter how the music is made as long as the music is good? even if bad, there's no correlation between the quality of the music and the way it's done, analog or digital. I'm not being defensive, just that this back when mentality is really clichéd and unjustified. "Back when every animation was hand drawn." It doesn't have to be like that anymore. There is no inherent advantage of analog over digital in music production. I agree the sound quality is better on analog but that's not to say analog is therefore better than digital. Don't know if you meant that but I really don't see why a person can't make music however he wants to with whatever tools he has available to him. It doesn't matter if it sounds better if the music itself is not good. That's why, it depends on the person making music to choose whatever medium he wants and just make music. And I've seen some amazing stuff produced by people who use fl studio on a daily basis. 9th wonder is the best example. Not a newb sorry. That's an extremely naive statement.
+The Truth Almost all the keyboards Chad showed were digital synths. Also I didn't see any 2" tape machines in this video. I'd say its a safe bet that these guys were cutting tracks to Pro Tools or another DAW at this point in time. You can actually see a computer behind chad at around 7 minutes in. I'd have to say the only "analog" gear I saw in the video was probably the turntables, mixing desk, the moog at the top of the rack and the modular synth at 4:25. Dont get me wrong, analog gear definitely has its appeal, but there's no need to be an elitist about it. Its 2016, the capabilities of digital recording technology are pretty much endless as far as quality goes. That "analog" sound people refer to surely has its uses and place, but analog recording can never give you the transparency and flexibility that digital recording technologies can. In the same way you cant fully capture the "analog" sound through digital means. But we can get damn close, really really really close, and the bridge between the two is getting closer and closer everyday. Again, I'm not dissing analog. But it's 2016, analog gear is expensive and we all pretty much have the technology to make great recordings right inside our laptops. Quality of the recording is more of an issue of the users skill level, his/her understanding of said technologies and his/her equipment(mics, interfaces etc.).
