Wow! Love your work. Do you think I could put something like this in my Paludarium? I use an LED full spectrum light system. Too much light? Any suggestions?

How do you water it like that? Will water just run down on the ground? I’m a plant newbie. I had a calathea lancifolia that grew 2 new leaves and was doing great but I got sick and tired of the gnats in my house the sticky traps were getting filled. I even tried capping the soil with aquarium gravel still no luck! I watered it once every 2 weeks. Would gnats still be attracted to this?

Yeah you can take it to the sink and just water it and let it run and leave it in the sink til it no longer flows :) Super easy.. gnats will be more attracted and able to breed in soil where as this has very little of it so you should be good!

Ramiro, I beg to differ. Cork is affordable @ bromilliad shops or even pet stores & it IS sustainable ! But most of my bromilliads I have planted on downed wood that I have found. Cool shapes & knotholes. Keep an eye out, free for the taking.

by harvesting you mean skin alive .until you showed me those pic i never realized what's behind it .nasty business . seems to me its very harmful for that tree . sadly i received an orchid and i noticed not only the temperature for this plant is not ok where i live but i must create a certain environment for the plant to survive . costs more the environment than the plant itself ...so another nasty business market trend
