- Back at it again with another AT HOME HAIR DYING VIDEO! Yes- this is my third hair dye video in 2 months, but my hair was in DESPERATE need of a little touch up. This is great for those of you who are in need of dying your roots at home or looking to cover up those stubborn grey hairs!
If you have yet to see my first hair dye video, I highly recommend watching that first as I use the same products, but this will give you a basic over view and thoughts on how to touch up your roots using a demi permanent box dye.

I work at a salon and spa and since being home i used the semipermanent natural instincts in 3 and it does help with shine and no commitment. I’m an esthetician, but called my stylist and she said go for it with the semipermanent to refresh and cover the grays- doesn’t last a very long time but it buys me time!!!!

Hey your hair looks gorgeous. I am thinking of trying a jet black from this clairol brand. How long would you say the color lasts? And I heard you say you gloss it about every 3 weeks? would you say the gloss is damaging or it just keeps it nice and shiny.

How many oz are in each box of clairol?
Did you use the clairol conditioner before using the gloss? Or did you condition after the gloss. You have a lovely result.
Doesn’t the gloss say not to use after coloring? I need to fix my roots & am trying to figure out if I can just use the gloss alone..
I just used the Kirsten Ess purple shade to balance out the henna and indigo I used. The indigo was too weak so it was orange tones on my significant gray. Not a cute look on me. The gloss did balanced the orange to a nice cool tone dark red.

So the Kirsten Ess gloss is a 3-4 week pigment so it lasts longer than the Clairol ?
Uhh it kinda depends on how often you wash your hair. The Clairol lasts 28 washes, which for me is way longer than the 3-4 weeks. I find that the goods washes out much faster than my dye does. But it's entirely dependent on your washing schedule, hair products, etc

It would be better if you showed your results after you dye it because it’s a surprise. In my opinion anyway. But love it!
I used clairol natural instincts to cover my gray roots and the color didn't take at all. My gray roots were still gray. That sucked, because I had read a lot of good reviews and I didn't want to use a permanent hair dye, so was hoping that this would work, but it didn't.
Anna Desai I used this color on my medium brown natural roots and the color lasted literally 3 days. So upset because it looks amazing those three days
Demi permanent doesn’t cover gray hair. You need to use a permanent dye for that
@@Mary-eu6bm Actually demi permanent hair dye DOES cover gray roots. There are many demi permanent hair dyes out there that cover gray roots. In fact I have been using a semi permanent hair dye that does not use any developer, for months now and it covers my gray roots. It fades gradually after a few washes, but it covers my gray completely.

@@Mary-eu6bm Clairol advanced gray solutions. And if you want to use demi permanent, Sally's has a few options. I personally liked the Ion demi permanent when I was using it. It covers gray beautifully.
