The teal looks so much better on him, it makes his eyes pop
Love how his hair is fading!!!
it’s so pretty!!
Honestlyyy
Agreed!!!!
Agreed, it's great with his skin tone
"I'm a rule follower. I love directions and rules"
Only wets one section
That cracked me up!! 😂🤣 "I'm a rule follower" - definite sarcasm as he continued to not follow the rules for the rest of the hair dye process 🤣
You took the words right out of my keyboard!
wetting the hair is a weird instruction anyway. All you're doing is diluting the dye
@@ileolai but thats how ot works. I have been using this product for a while now and tried both ways, wetting the hair looks best
@@ileolai agreed - I think the hair dye has the potential to be good, but between the packaging, pictures & instructions, it sounds like a very inexperienced person was in charge of marketing it or something.
The creator of these glosses has said they are not meant to be used to change your hair color completely, they are more so just a gloss to top up dull color so you’re supposed to use the one closest to your hair color to bring vibrancy and gloss back to it between colors
Oooo now I wanna try it because I don’t wanna change my hair colour but I’d love to give a nice glossy look
@Mi Mi wow that’s amazing! Thank you for letting me know! I definitely want to try it out on my dark brown hair because I haven’t dyed it in 4 years so it’s all virgin at this point but I’d love to give it a boost!
@@mazdabazda2267 they also have a clear one! I use it to make my balyage look shiny
I get that, but that also doesn't work when the color description doesn't even match the photo on the box. Like that's a serious flaw with the product that they need to change ASAP.
@@oliviabarnes3309 oh sweet! Maybe I’ll try that first, thanks!
When he said "what in the 2020."
... I felt that.
Brad: "Miss Kristen said to have really wet hair"
Also Brad: proceeds to wet just one section
me when trying to follow directions
I'm glad I wasn't the only one to notice that. Which might also explain why some of the colors didn't take. Would love for him to do it again ... following the directions.
@@ajksmusic yea same
I think he just forgot lol
He DID (sarcastically) say he's a "rule follower" 😂😂
@@ajksmusic the one he did wet was actually less appealing than the others lol, idk how that worked but it did
"The best part is that it is pre-measured." Literally every box dye EVER.
Lmao that's exactly what I said to myself! Bless him, innocent little cherub.
maybe it’s sponsored?
@@mlinds111 it may not be “sponsored”, but he has an affiliate link hidden in the shortened amazon url so he’s making money when people use it to buy this dye. Given how he has just launched his own color line AND how much he’s shitted on box dye in general, it’s totally out of place and quite jarring in terms of his channel to flat-out recommend (kind of recommend) a competitor’s product. Obviously this is a quick money grab ;) he peppers in some criticism to add “legitimacy” to his review while also making an implied plug for his own brand.
mrjoel19911 i love him but he’s such a hypocrite like he hates box dye but when he’s making money of it he suddenly thinks it’s amazing
Honestly box dyes tend to work if the user isn’t dumb. I don’t understand how he doesn’t believe box dyes can work or look good. Like he thinks we have to spend hundreds on hair when it shouldn’t cost that much for a damn colour
Anyone realize he only wet one part of the hair and did the rest dry
Yeaaaah I didn't get that myself.
Same!! I was wondering why he only drenched the first section.
Shiiii was itching at me the whole video omg
i think he just wasn’t paying attention because when you apply regular color, you do it on dry hair
Brad, beautiful, you forgot the wet every section 🤣😅. Im leaving my extra life btw
Seriously though the colors on the box are odd and I'm not sure why they chose a black box that makes it harder to see the hair
I clicked faster then brad mondo could say “hi beautiful”

The way his hair color has faded is just beautiful😍
“Only 14 dollars” and I’m like “that’s expensive”. 😂😂
He’s saying compared to his line 😂🤣
@@dezpeaceify I’m aware.....like 100% aware. 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Beats the £120 i spend in the salon, but that is for like 5 hours work and balayage 😂
I was thinking the same thing; "if 14$ for toner is cheap, what's expensive? 0.o" 😂
Especially because getting your hair toned at a salon is usually around $20
Thank you for doing this video. I am a beauty consultant at Target and now I know so much more about this product and can feel so much more confident in recommending it to our guests. You're the best.
I've used these at least 5 times now and I really do love the results. It's not meant to completely change your hair. More-so, it brings some shine and color to tired, dull looking hair. Glad you did a review on these! (:
OMG I love ❤️ how the teal looks on him! It makes his eyes ✨POP✨.
This looks is my favorite BY FAR!
And the nails too!

Girl with dyed blue black hair here 🖐🏽 I have used the darkest gloss from this line and even though it didn’t change the tone of my hair, it did make my hair super shiny and more manageable! It lasted about 3 months. They also sell a clear version of these glosses that is just for the gloss effect without the color part. Thanks for another great video I was hoping someone would talk about how great these are!
I would love a video like this for gray hair! Testing various colors or color brands on natural gray hair. My mom is all gray and has enjoyed being adventurous with crazy colors - She's currently rocking purple :) Whatever advice you would have for doing all-over color for natural gray hair would be so educational!
After seeing this video I decided to try the winter wheat as it's been a while since I've had my hair done and I'm shocked at how bright, vibrant and alive my hair looks. I took before and after pictures and couldn't believe the difference it makes.
Absolutely love how straight forward you are about anything 😍. Be safe love you 💙
Omg I just tried this last night! And saw you uploaded lol. It actually worked well. I needed my brassy highlights to get back to its original caramel color and it worked!
Thank you soooo much for this review. I color my hair with artic fox Wrath and Purple Rain mixed together. I had the plum colored gloss in my hands yesterday and decided against it. Im so glad I did because it looks way more red than purple.
I toned my hair with the golden hour shade as a light brunette/ dirty blond and I really liked the warm tones it gave me, and it made my hair look and feel super soft! Only last about 1 month, I’m wanting to do it again!
That red one didn’t work out at all as it was actually supposed to (like the actual color it shows on the box), because it says on the site “..adding deep burgundy tone to *color treated or naturally brown hair.”* I think that the shade you dyed it on was too light in order to give it that burgundy color she intended
Edit: Yeah I read more about that color and it also says “Choose this color if you have dark hair and want to add a rich burgundy tone.”
sounds like i should get it lmao
Exactly! What does he expect 😐 kinda sus that he’s a stylist
AGAIN this proves brad is JUST an entertainment youtube hairdresser who got lucky, he is not a serious stylist at all, only knows the basics. He has proven this time and time again with his lack of knowledge, its actually becoming humorous now
@@justentertainingtv9686 you're absolutely right, lol. He doesn't even hide it, always confused or wrong about something in his reactions, so I hope people do their own research and watch him for entertainment only.
This video is pretty much an ad though - they had to have approved the content beforehand.
It is surprising though he didn’t make the mannequins dark hair darker-but he probably expected the gloss to act more like a dye and take it even darker/more purple
This almost felt like an ad hahaha
Almost?
Pretty sure it was
I’ve used these twice. He’s right about the hair being soft and shiny after, but I’ve never gotten the right or expected tone and it washes out after only a handful of washes.
That's super disappointing!
i used the black one on my brown hair because i wanted to get rid of highlights that were coming through from previous dye, mine held for like months, i also don’t wash my hair every day so maybe that’s why it lasted so long for me
Is it at all damaging?
@@HonesttoRatruth of course its going to be somewhat damaging
@@HonesttoRatruth i didn’t notice any damage my hair felt a lot softer and my curls were less frizzy but don’t take my word for it
This feels like an ad that wasn't disclosed to me. And like...none of them turned out that great?
exactly, they did nothing
Yep, definitely feels sponsored
You’re supposed to tone your hair based on what shade you are now. It’s actually toner not dye idk why he kept saying that. It’s like color depositing shampoo
Finally! I’ve been waiting for you to try Kristin Ess. I love her products! ✨✨
I just used KE Crystal Quartz Gloss this morning and I am SOOO impressed with how my hair came out. I already had color in my hair so I used the clear gloss but I was skeptical. Not anymore. It's shiny, manageable, and more importantly, it's healthier. I wish I had found this product months ago!
who else clicks as fast as they can when they see one of his vids?
Me lol
Me :)
Everybody lol
Brad Mondo buying a cheap toner omg i thing the earth is shaking I SEE THE LIGHT 😂😂
omg yessss ahah
he's sponsored he has an affiliate link 🤣
@@mariajoana7438 anyone can have an amazon affiliate link, it doesn’t mean he’s sponsored by the brand. In fact, a brand wouldn’t permit him to link to Amazon (where they don’t officially sell their product) in lieu of linking to their own site with url tracking parameters et al. Xoxo, a marketer
I love coming back each video and seeing your hair change to different shades 😍 it’s like a little surprise every video
This was so great. I've always avoided that 'red' color because it looks black purple on the box. It's gorgeous irl!
Seeing how good blue hair looks on Brad makes me want to dye my hair a crazy colour
The colours came out so pretty, I love the brown that was meant to be black 😍. They definitely need to take new photos for the packaging
I really appreciate how you explain things. I don't know much about different hair products/dyes and you explain it very well!
I love how you are willing to try new products for us even tho its not your own product! I appreciate all the efforts you put into every video!💖💖🥰
brad, can you make a “everything about bleaching eyebrows” video? everyone says different things or nothing about this so i don’t know what to do. i’m literally stuck with silver hair-dark brown eyebrows combination and it bothers me a lot :(
He probably won't because dying & bleaching eyebrows isn't legal for a Cosmetologist to do on clients (at least in California it isn't legal, not sure about other states). It also isn't safe. I have to tell my clients (I'm a Cosmetologist) all the time that I can't do it when they ask :(

Just buy some nair face bleaching cream, its made for that. leave it on a minute or two then remove and check, then reapply another minute or two and recheck, cuz it only takes a few minutes. super easy and cheap, can buy it at the drug store for 15 dollars
Just wanted to wish y'all some happy holidays, beautifuls ❤️✌️

I like how every section of hair toning has a different song to go with it. Nice touch with the editing!
Great timing, as I just ordered the Winter Wheat Color. Its my favorite! I have white/blonde hair. Its just right for me!
how does brad tell us people have different colors that look good on them then goes around looking gorgeous in every single color!!!!!! why can't i be that beautiful
Imagine how cool braids would look with having these four colors on your head.
Please, Please, Please do a full Kristin Ess haul/review!!!! I have been so hooked on her products!
I love that he says "Hi beautiful" because it makes my day.
Also, something about this whole video feels off. Like he’s getting paid for his recommendation, even though I know he is smarter than this. He normally wouldn’t recommend something that clearly doesn’t do what it says it will. Not hating, but just be honest with your audience. I mean, recommending a product that literally didn’t deliver one single color match? Why? Ok, it gives you a shine, but if I’m going for plum and get red, I’d be furious. Or if I want a brownish blond like the photo but end up with that orange monstrosity. Again, wouldn’t be pleased.
For what it’s worth I’m glad he made this video so I don’t buy this and end up upset over not getting the right color.
Yeah....I mean you get what you pay for lol.
he is getting paid. amazon link in the description is an affiliate link
The whole time I was thinking “surely this is an ad” but he never disclosed that ??? I feel shaded.
He used burgundy color and got a light chestnut color...I would be mad too if that happened...
if you were to get payed to do the same thing we all know that you would most probably do it so you cant blame brad they could have payed him to not say anything about getting payed ya know so like
I used this about 2 weeks ago and it made my hair look so nice and shiny! especially since it got ruined at the stylist and I didn't want to bother going back.
This is one of the most visually satisfying videos ever. Gorgeous results!! 😍😍😍
I see your Pro hair dresser reacts and we Stan 😈 also oh my gosh I just wanted to gloss my hair & was looking into these that’s awesome! Thanks for this video!
“It’s incredible” as none of the colors turn out like they should 🙃 ok......
He did it completely wrong... && described it completely wrong lolol. But go offfff
It's not hair color, it's meant to upkeep colored hair in between dyeing
It's not a normal hair color though, it's a gloss. It's meant to touch up already colored hair of similar color in between colorings. So these are not supposed to dye hair a different color. He should of known
You were so nice here for those being catfish colors. 😂
he also didn’t follow the directions

Miss Mannequins hair reminds me of those 4 flavor pies that are sectioned off in the container!
VIDEO IDEA: you’re always getting messages from people about advice on what to do with their hair, I think you should do like a FaceTime talk show thing where you just do short FaceTime calls with fans to tell them what to do with their hair and why so we can all get a good idea of why and what we should do for ourselves! Love ya beautiful!♥️XOXO
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE how your color fades 😍❤
Thank you for doing this i have been wanting to see someone use these just to get a good idea of how well they work, and considering you did 3 of them on the wrong color hair and they still came out gorgeous I feel that these gloss's are great.
It even says on the box's that its meant for that color of hair to enhance its vibrancy and refresh it between salon visits.........the 1 he really loved and came out the same color of the box was also the one used on the right color hair. While the other 3 were not, which is why they don't look like the box.
here is the icy one on hair thats closer to what its supposed to be used on and it looks great afterwards.

He reminded me of dexter in his apron. Especially when he had the toner on his hands.
Can we talk about the ultra hype girl intern? She said, vomit worthy, disgusting! 😂
Hi Brad!! I was looking at those colors the other day. I’m so glad you did a video on them.
I started using her whole hair line from Target and I love it. Not even going to lie. It's good stuff. Do a review on her purple shampoo! It's top notch.
I’m here to VOUCH for this as well! I have dark brown hair with a pretty light balayage that tends to go brassy over time. I HANDS DOWN rely on this to keep the brass in check between salon appointments. I will say though - it really is not dramatic in terms of color change if you stay within your level. I suspect the reason is that 1) it’s only 6.6 volume developer and 2) it’s better to not make a huge color difference then to walk away with totally fucked up hair that is 2x darker than anticipated (like with many other demis). The payoff of healthy silky shiny hair alone is worth it, even if the color isn’t dramatic. Also Brad is right, the pictures on the box are 100% misleading (EXCEPT for Smoky Topaz, my color choice, that’s pretty accurate).
Brad Mondo: a professional hairstylist
Also Brad Mondo: keeps the safety seal tip on the applicator bottle even after mixing the colors inside (which can lead to the mixtures exploding during the chemical reaction)
I was thinking the same thing!
I’m so glad I saw your video!
I picked this product up in a rush not realizing it’s a gloss (my own fault)
I purchased the black and seeing how it turned the hair a medium brown, I took this as a sign to hold off on dying my hair, and at least buying a dye from a beauty salon!
I am so glad you are trying new things and not just promoting your own brand. That’s great
Brad being nice about a product that didn't do what it said,
me: dats suspicious, dats wierd.... (in my tiktok voice)
Yes it did do what it's supposed do. It's literally not a hair dye like he made it seem. It's a gloss touch up in between colorings. You use it on already colored hair of the same color.
i love your hair color its such a pretty color!
That hairstyle and color looks amazing on you dude, love it💚
It works great to tone down brassy highlights. I've used it for a couple of years. Big help at the start of quarantine.
oooookay so the platinum did nothing, the "plum" is just straight red, the black isn't even close to black, and the bronde is just yellow.... i know what I'm not buying from Target
ALSO after some quick research... I'm starting to think this is a back alley, undisclosed sponsorship / affiliate / something like that. Not confirmed, just speculation, but the amazon link Brad put in the description isn't the normal link to the product page. There's a bunch of extra stuff in the URL after the Amazon product code that makes me think this is an affiliate link. Again, just speculation, but this whole thing seems sus...
edit: after scrolling through the comments and seeing other people convinced that the amazon link is an affiliate link... I'm almost certain this is an undisclosed sponsorship / affiliate (which is not only shady as fuck but also illegal as fuck)
Oh snap
But the “black” is supposed to be neutral brown not black so if we go off that then it is the correct color
@@angelicahamptonhendrix1386 first of all he didn't even bother to put the glosses on the proper colors of hair, so nobody knows what they're supposed to look like. what I'm saying is that is very clearly an undisclosed advertisement, which extremely shady and illegal
@@catman6089 understandable I was pointing out a silver lining

He works so hard for everything so give him a break
Edit: it has been like 5 seconds but I just want to say that I hope lots of people see this so it will just remind them that words hurt and I also just read your other comment and unless you are a professional hairstylist he knows way more than you do so maybe just cut him some slack I mean man

this felt like an AD... commenting on the colour marveling that its pre-measured? all boxed dye is pre-measured... isnt it?
This!
I think it’s cuz it’s toner and usually you have to mix your own. But idk for sure
@@stephanieb1127 I get it but if you're buying a boxed one time use product from target. They want you to have everything you need they don't expect you to buy a scale gloves or a bowl. you expect it pre measured. Same as color remover, hair dye, or bleach that you would buy at the same location of target since the products are not aimed at professionals

I really do get all the naysayers worrying about this being an undisclosed paid ad but this stuff actually worked for me! I bought it after getting my hair bayalaged at the salon. I asked for some subtle lightening and walked out with chunky Kelly Clarkson highlights circa 2006. The shade my hair was lifted to looked terrible with my skin tone and I was extremely washed out. But I gave this a try and it really did tone things down/make me feel like I actually looked like myself again. Recommend this if you're trying to go a shade or two darker from color-treated hair without shelling out all your funds at the salon trying to fix it!
Did this on my hair and my hair is looking fabulous! Deep rich dark brown and my baby lights are warm lighter golden brown.
I’m in love. I did two boxes. I stacked them.
I love watching Brad but honestly I am disappointed with his lack of commitment in this video. I was really let down by the fact that he expected these boxes to work on hair that wasn’t even the right color for each of them. The black should have been done on a much darker brown or black hair, same for the plum color. The blonde really could have been less yellow when he started, and the Carmel color could have been lighter with more obvious highlights as well. I have been watching Brad for years now, but he truly showed in this video that he either isn’t as knowledgeable as he claims to be or he just didn’t care to give the products a fair shot on hair that was right for them. Not to mention he didn’t even wet 3 of the sections which could change the result of the product. Overall, I wasn’t impressed with Brad in this video and I hope that he steps back and realizes that him reviewing these products actually effects a women’s life and livelihood and it was ultimately his fault he didn’t get the results he wanted.
He only did this video for money tbh
I wonder if he realizes that doing this for money actually dents his reputation as a"professional hair stylist"
