Badlands either took place before or during Goddard, and I'm leaning during due to the GDI commander being informed about the destruction of Goddard after completing Badlands which implies, timeline wise, both missions were concurrent. "GDI gave Nod the excuse to begin an all-out assault." Not quite, remember Nod had forces all over the planet poised to strike Blue Zones, and GDI just so happened to stumble upon the force outside B-2(badlands). Also Kane was literally planning for this war for little over a decade(reference Kane's Wraith campaign), this war was happening regardless.
The music, the theme, the atmosphere, the world, the characters. All so so memorable and fun. It depresses me to no end that we haven't seen great games with this kind of feeling in a very long time.

I loved every moment this game offered. GDI was always a good story, NOD was interesting as hell, and the aliens just creepy as hell. I always did love taking over the bases whenever I got the chance. Thanks for posting this and glad it is played on hard.

The Croatia mission used to fuck me up so hard the first time I played it, untill I figured out I could just put infantry platoons in bunkers where the anti-infantry turrets were, and keep them offline. That way I could keep the anti-air and anti-tank turrets online permanently.

Damnnn didnt think of hitting the base before going for the convoy coratia mission. I thought u assmebled a large grp for the rescue and my mind was blown u went straight tothe base. Im watching this vid for tips when i struggle. Its a disgrace not to finish each mission on hard
mate i failed it 10x before realise it, but actually the main mission is to destroy or capture the 3 bases, you dont really have to rescue the convoy even though it is a main objective

rly annoying how in the game updates the blackhand and rocket squads get slightly op. Blackhand are a bit tanky while rocket squads have crazy range. Croatia made me rage quite a bit lol
There are some youtubers that label their walkthroughs of red alert and tiberium as full game but in reality there are a bunch of cuts in the missions....
I've seen a few comments about "They just don't make games like this anymore" However, I'm not sure that's true. In terms of lore and worldbuilding, you can find plenty of games that match or even exceed this... Most of them tend to be of the open world genre. But that's what the genre is good for. There's also plenty of FPS games with deep lore (eg: Halo).

I remember playing this years ago, recently re-bought it and am loving the Kane's Wrath DLC, never got to play it back in the day.
Can't believe after 15 years the game still looks great, especially the 1080p cutscenes. 1080p was considered a very high resolution for that time.
When I played I maxed out all ranks, in the first mission I maxed out all air units. Best RTS on Earth.

Damnnn didnt think of hitting the base before going for the convoy coratia mission. I thought u assmebled a large grp for the rescue and my mind was blown u went straight tothe base. Im watching this vid for tips when i struggle. Its a disgrace not to finish each mission on hard
mate i failed it 10x before realise it, but actually the main mission is to destroy or capture the 3 bases, you dont really have to rescue the convoy even though it is a main objective
If they had put a time limit to rescue that convoy it would have been harder.

rly annoying how in the game updates the blackhand and rocket squads get slightly op. Blackhand are a bit tanky while rocket squads have crazy range. Croatia made me rage quite a bit lol

Power plants do not expand your build area in the Steam version of the game for whatever reason. Need outposts to build power plant fields.

I've seen a few comments about "They just don't make games like this anymore"
However, I'm not sure that's true.
In terms of lore and worldbuilding, you can find plenty of games that match or even exceed this... Most of them tend to be of the open world genre. But that's what the genre is good for.
There's also plenty of FPS games with deep lore (eg: Halo).
