so i’m considering getting one of these for my ‘79. but, i’m confused. shouldn’t the vent temp be much cooler than the cabin temp after 6 minutes?

At the 6 minute point of the video, the vent temperature shows 3.3 deg C, that is 37.9F, a few degrees above freezing. The outside temperature gauge is showing 34C which is 93F.

    +1 .. These guys are GOOD ! ... My '98 Carrera C2S (993) has the Classic Retrofit's 175 amp alternator update. .

excuse me sir. Does 1974 porsche have air conditioning system at first or we need to customize by installing them manually?

Can the system run for long at idle? I noticed when you pulled over that the voltage dropped from like 13.4 to 11.9volts pretty quickly, then stabilized around 12.1. Seems as though the alternator isn't really generating significant current at idle, so I'm wondering if the a/c will get ahead of the car and continue to drag that voltage down or not unless you're moving.

It looks to battery voltage to run. It's not an issue in use 👍🏻

35 - 75A Depending on ambient conditions, cooling demand and ECU settings. Our ECU incorporates an adaptive control strategy for power management.
