A rolling shell with no glass or floors is worth more than you paid for this. What a find! Look forward to the progress.
I agree. Wheels are correct date code as well.
AGREED! If you dont mind where did you find this? state? us? west coast? east coast?
Jealousy is the only rational emotion. But I am pleased a real appreciator had this good luck. My thanks for sharing. (Oh Lord please relieve me of this spirit of envy…)…
East Coast. Richmond, Virginia. Two blocks from my house.

Hope the project is making progress! Hope to see an update
As someone who is restoring an old car myself, I don't know if I tell you congratulations... or that I'm sorry for you!🤣
But I think you've had a great first step, just by cleaning up the car the best you could. In most videos, people tries to first start those barn finds covered in dirt, without even changing the oil, which is the cheapiest thing and can save your engine from a disaster...
Good luck and best regards from Brazil!
Thanks for the tip! Im gonna drop the engine and take it from there!
Se o óleo estiver no nível e com boa coloração, não tem problema em fazer o carro funcionar!
I know bikes are bit different from cars but i was bad at oil changing when i got my first bike was brand new and the first oil change was like 6k km and for the second one the mechanic said that was no oil left lool he was surprised about why my bike was not burn without oil xD
My bike was a 125cc tho, but i used it every day until it finally broke xD

A 911 SC as a barn find is pretty rare, glad you rescued it. Looks like it's going to take a fist full of vids and dollars.. good luck.
i found a nearly mint condition 78 911sc as a barn find a few years ago, owner would only sell me it if i picked up a 914 with it but it was definitely worth it.
Finally someone is not starting the process with blowing the car to pieces with a pressure washer! It’s shocking to see people start the engine after decades in the barn without replacing the fuel, oil, filters and consumables.
I bought a garage find, not a barn find... a 1-owner, always garaged, modified, creampuff, '99 Boxster w/68k miles for $8500k. Love it!!
I bought a good condition 99' 986 for £2k
You got taken. No boxster is worth $8,500,000
Same same...1 owner, $8,150, 99 Boxster 61,000 miles, new tires and the IMS is done. Absolutely a wonderful car to drive!
Looking forward to lots more videos on this car 😀 Well done on your find.
Thanks bud!
More to come!
My boss bought a new 911 every 6 months back in 1975, he only used at weekends, then sold back to dealer and made money every time..... we used to stand and look at them in garage and I would have an earlier car than todays, given the choice, such elegant and purposeful design.
Holy cow that is cool!
Just subscribed, I cant wait to follow you with this. Im Restoring a 560 SEC mercedes and its been an absolute pleasure. Working on and knowing your dream car was built by you makes it so much more special. Good luck man! Greetings from the UK
My suggestion:
Get a spacious protected shop.
Get several shelfs.
Get the mechanical manuals for parts, procedures and torques. Porsche can help you.
Get the proper tools.
Disassemble as much as you can to clean, de-rust, replace or restore by parts.
Use the shelfs to classify, label, keep or replace by part nr.
Plan you work, work you plan, piece by piece, system by system.
Over all...:
Try to not convert your 911 jewel in to a VW, altough they have the same father.
Nah, I'm just gonna get it running and drive it through mud puddles.
@@aj_nichols
Don't say that, it's a sin.
Before any mechanical rotation of the engine a oil change is recommended with carter examination for debris and coals.
Old oil is water-saturated, so after the first minutes of being shaked in a warm running engine it will emulsionate to loose main lubricant and cohesive properties. You will terribly damage cilinders, piston bearings, camshaft, everything that needs lubrication in that precision jewel.
@@aj_nichols that’s almost the same energy as fry from futurama eating the last can of anchovies
That made me laugh!@@egg979
@@sckirschsteinWhat is “Carter examination”?
Yep. That's rough. But would love it myself! Top find. Enjoy the restoration
You’re doing the lords work.
Very nice find
That car looks great. And it's a big classic. Worth the money and the effort to make it run again. Your going to increase the value of it no doubt about it. Take care a God bless.
It's a blank canvas that deserves the best professionals to take care of. And loads of money as well. Great opportunity to build it as new or a restomod as is called now. Keep us posted. Thanks.
That is the exact opposite of what is going to happen.
You gotta do an update on this car, what a gem!
Man this car is an abolute masterpiece, I'm really sure that if you fix some damages you could enjoy of one of the most impressive and iconic cars ever built.
It is a masterpiece! I cant wait to enjoy it for a very long time!
This is pure luck, I would love to come across a find like this.
To stumble upon a yellow bird & go home with it has gotta be an amazing feeling! Congrats on that huge W👍
Pretty wild! Once in a lifetime moment! New video up now! Thanks for the kind words!
As I watched you rinse off your new baby, I coud hear her saying, "Thank you thank you thank you".Good luck! Looking forward to seeing your progress
We'll await the rest... curious to see how much work and how much money you'll put into her.
Gonna try to stay under $10,000. Wish me luck!
@@aj_nichols dude... that would be epic!!
@@aj_nichols LOL, hoping for zero internal issues then. New strut assembly is only $1080.00 US, each.
my old Porsche mechanic 75+ yrs old, he loves SC over the more modern air cooled models. One casual look and he would know what needs to be done.
Just curious where is that SC mechanic located?
The definitive "barn find" . Yours truely, Mr Green with Envy.
The car is really nice.. i love old car to restore and making modification from small thing into are big hot car 😂👍
Super cool find for sure! Last year I found a pretty clean (few rust spots from rodent droppings and seat covers were shot) 2.0 914 in metallic copper that had been parked in a shed like yours since 82". 72k original miles, all paper work including original window sticker, recorded oil changes, single owner and in my neighborhood it's entire life. And, the hell hole is in great shape! I've just been cleaning it up, replacing all fuel lines, brake lines, suspension and rubber bits. I'll definitely be following your progress now! 👍👍
Larry / AMMO NYC have great content on how to clean bar finds properly and carefully. Stay safe. And good luck. Awesome find!
You know you can talk.
That’s what I always say whenever I see these types of silent vintage vids. I keep thinkin’ Charlie Chaplin is gonna pop out in front of the camera… 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
I hate these kink of people who do not talk in their videos
Some people don’t talk.
Some people talk too much.
No one came to hear him talk.
They came to see an old car get cleaned.
@@GediSpock you make no sense.
@@iamher6422 i think what hes trying to say is the focus on this video isnt on the mans voice, but rather the old porsche that has been sitting idle catching dust for who knows how long
Beautiful car, provided you can look past all the work it will need. Good luck with the project!!
Good for you mister, that car deserves to be rescued, good luck, I'll be watching...
DON`T BE SCARED TO USE SOME SOAP !
hello Ronnie how are you doing today.
15:04 Dude i would never touch such an bio hazard car with no gloves, that could cause a disease
It killed me. Thats why there have been no updates. I am typing this from the afterlife. There is wifi here.
Looks like half the shed’s structure turned to dust and ended up on, and in, that poor car. A simple vinyl car cover would’ve done far more to protect that poor thing.
Do it, love to be part of this labor of fun!
It's in incredible shape for a barn find !
911 always worth the restoration, they got value in them
That is the truth! They won't get cheaper anytime soon!
Would love a Porsche like this one day
16:46 my dog went crazy 😅
Nice find and nice video bro!
That stupid jack has made that noise since the day I bought it. I shoot just hit it with some lube but I have not for some reason. New video up now! Thanks for watching!
911 SC was a great looking car! Except for Turbo, SC had that first in that modern flat front hood style with fender flares on rear for the wide body look!
Great video AJ...thanks for this!..let us know what you replaced!....cheers!
Looks pretty solid man cant wait to see more
I love that model ♥️
It’s really not that bad, all the original parts are still there. I’ve seen 911s in worse condition than this, so this should be fairly easy. Good luck.
That's a factory inflatable spare tire you took off on left rear. don't throw away!
Don’t worry, it is safe in the frunk
More vids on this please
Lucky guy what a deal!
Very, very lucky! Once in a lifetime opportunity! Very grateful!
lucky you, i have my dreamcar GT Alfa '74 but this is my silver medal. congratulations
Nothing is missing all the parts are there even the huuuge spoiler which I saw on the ground in the barn, the whip has no ding or dents and no broken glass which is awesome just a lot of dust, interior looks great, clean and service her and she will be good to go great find 😲👍❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
No broken glass???? Hahaha, watch the vid again. There’s a HOLE in the windshield, he vacuums the glass out of it.
Good things the windows were up.
Oh yeah. Kept all the spiders warm over the winter!
Great find good luck on restoration can't beat price seen worst for more more money and missing parts.
Still I cannot believe that owner sold it for only 4K, even cover of dust could a very expensive car
They were going to donate it to charity. Not everyone gets exited about a dusty old car, but I sure do!
You are lucky! I would love to find something like this.
I feel very blessed! Thanks for watching!
AJ I am joining you on this journey. UA-cam is just like your neighborhood, when someone is working on their car everybody comes over to offer advice and drink your beer. But your UA-cam neighbors can’t drink your beer, we only offer advice. As for me I will only say nice things.
I want the BSA.
Restorations are very expensive. But leave you with a better feeling than just buy a similar car in running condition. My son helped my restored an 1988 Porsche 928S4, and it gave us a great felling and a car that today make turn head’s everywhere. Enjoy!
Well I bought a 1981 running and driving from the original owner it’s an amazing color and it’s that Rollswood brown for $10,000 and I’m driving it all the time as a daily driver it’s in beautiful condition scale 1 to 10 about an 8 1/2
The colour is unique and beauitul. Please keep it in that way...
I have found so many expensive cars in barns and garages that I have lost count. But I don't hold onto them.
The colour is beautiful
Subbed just to see where this goes. 78-83 911SC is my dream ride.
Looks like Bahama Beige, I had an '82. wish I never sold it.
Cashmere Beige!
I don’t how it works, but I like the way you did, first step, clean up
Great find, and a bargain. I would happily buy it from you! And get it sent to the uk.
I have seen so many videos on detailing. My observation is that ppl start detailing from the out side first then move towards inside. Whereas I think it should be other way round. I mean what is the fun when you have to clean the outside ahain after you have cleaned the inner???
I’m interested in the BSA
Great find but the BSA sitting there was more interesting to me... good luck!
Very cool bike, but it was not for sale. I bought three other bikes from the estate and sold them on to recover some cash.
should’ve got that motorcycle too but awesome barn find
Trust me, I tried!
Only the body seems in good shape all the rest is crap, there s a lot of work to do. May the force be with you ! A 911 always deserve to be saved.
The trolley jack screams like a little kid.. classic!
Just gorgeous.
It really is!
Excellent! Living the dream
I'd never do this unless it had sentimental value or I had a lot of money and time. lol
It would of got less water in to do it with a high pressure wash was my first thought, but then maybe high pressure would have done more damage than the excess water.
It really wouldn't take much to bring this old girl back to life from an appearance perspective. Nice find I think
I taped off all the seals with gaffers tape to keep the water out.
You should look at K997 videos, gives you ideas about the engine.
Thanks, I will!
Wow i love that car!!!!!
Thank you! I love it as well!
enjoyed the video! that shop vac tho.....
I know, it really sucks.
Dennis Collins would drop a nugget over this score
Well grab your cup of joe and let’s go!
What a barn find! Good luck with it!
Fuchs wheel (likely the one that never got put back on the rear wheel where the spare is still) , tire jack, tire wrench and ...tool kit wow! Thats all original and hard to find. They are only original once! Good luck.
The missing Fuch was in the trunk! Hundred percent numbers matching original car!
hello how are you doing today.😊
A seagull jack! I haven’t seen one of those in years.......
That Jack sounded like it was having fun.
It has sounded that way since new! Gotta give it some love for sure!
One of my buddies growing up bought Harrison Fords 911 in the 80’s through a broker…
only to sell it back to him several years later.
No way! That is crazy! I would need a Millennium Falcon theme for sure!
Awesome for 4K
I bet you can sell it for an extra 5-10' just after cleaning it... the aircooled go for crazy money now!
I should but I will not.
wow im going to get to see alot of money spent love watching as long as its not mine

OMG, the Porsche of Edgar Wallace ! ;-)

This is like detailing and asmr in 1, amazing.
In Europe you pay now , now today
For a Porsche 911 exactly this model more than 60 thousand dollars , big difference very big .
That’s right. I am very lucky!
That jack sounds like a bird😂
That colour!
Man oh man I wanted one of those so bad in high school
wears out the lift for cars!
Nice one. Looks my 924 barnfind project... already street legal.
Right on!
On that dirt floor... I bet there's a lot of rust on the underside.
It is perfect underneath.
